Antonio's Fish Bar & Pizza Bilsthorpe in Newark and Sherwood

First time ordering and not sure if I’ll order again. The chips arrived cold and soggy. The kebab had a lovely taste to it however was the greasiest kebab I’ve ever had. The paper it was wrapped in was soaking wet with grease.

we have a caravan at Bilsthorpe and always have a tea with your fish and chips and really enjoy them..we would recormmend them to anybody that asked were to go for fish and chips

We wanted something quick before going to Sherwood Forest. The fish and chips and the mixed meat and chips were good. Portions are really big if you take large size. Service was a bit slow but still good.

Ordered for a delivery time for over an hour, however the delivery actually turned up an hour after the time arranged. Called up to see what was happening and told only 1 driver working.food turned up cold to lukewarm. No apologies from the driver but never again will I use.

Nice to find someone with a clear understanding of what large chips means.

Food arrived on time but was cold

Tried their doner kebab (so my Mrs), and we both had very bad food poison symptoms after it. Never had that with their competition next door. My mistake.. never again. To the owner: I'm surprised you calling "fake" a person who's account reached 2k+ points... Well done.

although they rang to say running late the food was warm,chips weren't even edible they were dry and looked liked they'd been cooked over & over,the food went in the bin waste of time & money sorry for this review but unfortunately won't be using again which is a shame as it use to be the best,but not the last few times we've had delivery

delivered 2 and a half hours after ordered, expected time kept changing and it said it was out for delivery 50 mins before actually delivered. when rang up was told it left the shop 15 prior to it actually being delivered so app falsly updated, appreciate times can be busy but 2 and a half hours is not acceptable. this it the 2nd time delivery has been 2+ hours, took the first time as one of them things but now after the 2nd we will no longer use.

Will start of 5 star for friendliest but just been charged 40 p extra because I wanted my curry sauce in a pot to take away. Chips get smaller every time I visit. Only go because owner friendly but 40 p extra for a pot that’s the last time am going getting a rip off

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. I ordered a doner kebab, which left my stomach in pain all day long. The meat was fatty and not fresh. The portion was small (maybe even better). I don't know if I will ever come back to this place.

delivery time changed twice then still came late ordered at 6 .15 came at 8.15 and every item was cold one kebab the pitta was soaked in oil / fat and soggy chips was dry and looked reheat but was also cold

The chips cold one my bottles cola miss and batter wasn’t cook long enough on battered sausages and some black thing in the sausage only thing that was hot was curry sauce

Ordered a fish and chips for 8 quid but only fish delivered. Appears on order as just Cod so understand why staff didn't prepare portion of chips too. And estimated delivery before order is 20 to 50 mins. But once placed order ETA of 90 minutes given. Still took over 2 hours. Poor delivery for a 5 pound delivery fee!

Food was really late by an hour , food was cold, chicken portion was really overcooked, and one of the drinks were missing. Fries were over cooked but cold. Really really disappointed.

It was 2hrs and 15 mins from ordering to arriving just for fish and chips , when they arrived they were mushy and very greasy , never again

Great food, really enjoyed it. The order was slightly wrong though which is slightly disappointing, but its not the end of the world.

This was far below the normal standard of food from Antonio’s, the chips were undercooked and the peas were brown and dry. The battered around the fish was soggy.

Lukewarm also cucumber on meal. And didn't ask for it. Very costly delivery charge as well.

We are all disappointed - definitely not your usual quality! The large Donner with salad had less meat on than the small chicken and salad. There were onions on the chicken one and had to remover. The chips arrived over cooked and cold - what happened to using insulated bags. In addition when did chip shop chips have skins on them! Burger - nearest comparison was McDonalds burger in a posh bun! Very disappointed and will probably not buy again.

Ordered food and stating in notes no cheese on certain burger then delivery came with cheese on burger I rang up the shop and told them there mistake and manager told me will send fresh burger out to me and the food never got delivered which is disgusting so I will be paying a visit to the shop for my money back

Absolutely disgusting food, overcooked and dry, and ordered a large cod that was the same size as a battered sausage.... only good thing was the saveloy. Spent £50 and threw 90% in the bin. Will not be ordering again.

Great tasting food and delivery was spot on. Only complaint is I ordered a large mix meat and chips, it came in a small burger tray with 3 strands of donner and barely any chicken and a small number of chips. Was disappointed as it cost £7

Food was said to be out for delivery within 5 minutes of ordering ... however arrived 5 minutes before posted time cold! These are the best kebabs we have ordered from the area but not when delivered cold!! Not appreciated. Will order once more to see if you can revert to previous quality.

Good nice food, have a lot of staff for a small local chippy, last time I went in they must have had 5 or 6 people behind counter, it was busy but I was stood Infront of the counter/till/order point for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged I was there, staff avoided eye contact so I've marked down, anyway I went next door and got served pretty much straight away, shame really......

Missed off cans of drink included with kebab wrap "special", wrap was a small pitta shaped thing with 5 chips in, rather than a wrap with chips included. Wasn't very clear that was what the special was. Buttered bap wasn't buttered. Chicken in the wrap was overly powdery with seasoning with minimal flavour to it. Chips that we DID get were nice though. Sadly, wasn't worth the wait and we were pretty thirsty due to camping and not having time to go to a shop. (None nearby).

Ordered for 6.30 due to work and it came half an hour earlier.

The food was cold and dripping in grease. The batter was soggy on the fish scallop and sausages. The bag was squashed and the gravy pot had crushed leaked all over the food. We had a text saying our food had left the shop but it took 25 min to arrive after that. Very disappointed.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone we decided to go somewhere different and me and my daughter normal have a mix meat and chips shared and I got a large there was just enough for her but got more in a small kebab meat for the price not worth it fish was covered in oil wouldn’t recommend to no one never again

I was just visiting the area and needed some food. I ordered 10mins before they closed and despite not having any chips left as they’d just thrown them away and this was a just eat order (payed for) they made my kebab bigger. It wasn’t very hot but I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest Kebabs I’ve ever had! And I’ve had a few!!! Thank you!

Food was cold, paper had adhered to fish batter and was impossible to remove. Missing item from order, was offered replacement but had been waiting 2 hours already

Paid £20 for 2 pieces of fish with no chips and was told by the restaurant that you have to order chips separately when there was no option to order them on the menu, and the section where I ordered the fish from was titled fish and chips, £7 for a piece of fish with no chips.

Food was delivered late and was greasy and burnt. Rang the shop and the owner said delivery driver would bring the money back to my home and take the food back to the shop. After the shop has shut there has been no sign of the driver and no return of the money like promised
