Ann's Pasties was recommended to us by locals and it did not disappoint. The pasties were warm, flaky, and simply delicious. On our holiday to the UK this was our families favorite meal! If they have "cookie pie" when you visit, get it! It was the best desert that I think I may have ever had. The top and bottom were made from delicious chocolate chip cookie crust. There was a middle cheesecake type layer, a layer of biscoff. The top was drizzled with chocolate and caramel. SOOOO good. Honestly it might be worth a trip back to the UK from the USA just to get another slice.

Quite frankly the worst pasty I have ever had, I would rather stick a Ginsters in the microwave. The veg was cooked to a pulp what meat there was (3 pieces) tasted like cotton wool, over salted and over priced. Didn't do the pasty and I pint but I shouldve to compensate for the amount of salt. My wife had a sausage roll 3/4 of which went straight in the bin.

Ordered 5 traditional pasties to go. By the time we got to the Lizard to enjoy them, we wished we hadn't bothered. All of the pasties (5 in total) were incredibly salty. The bulk of the pasty was filled with onion. Very little meat at all. The pastry was overcooked. We always used to have Ann's pasties when we visited the Lizard, back when it was just Ann making them in the little yellow house, as they were the best in Cornwall. Needless to say, these were incrediblly disappointing. We ended up throwing most of what we had bought away because they were frankly inedible.

Recently visited this little gem of a place whilst touring the Cornish sights. Where to start, firstly the service brilliant! The young lady serving was polite engaging and nice to chat with, as you walk in instantly available a hug of Pimm’s ! With a sign saying help yourself!! Yep you read it right ! A free drink, the food selection was fabulous offering pies and pasties, plus an ice cream stand. The bar area looked pleasant, with a good selection of ales. So all in all a lovely place to visit, with nice touches.

My wife and I attended Anns Pasty Shop in The Square, The Lizard yesterday. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. We take any possible opportunity to obtain Anns Pasties be it in person or by post - being a Cornish boy ! living in Devon and have done for many years, originally attending the ' garage '. A Special mention to Anns Grand-daughter, 'Mave' who was exceptional during our visit - busy serving, restocking and cleaning the shop, but still had time to chat with us. Thank you Mave, you made our day !

Went there on a wet and windy day in February to get something to eat and drink. We ordered 2 hot chocolates and 2 pasties. The hot chocolates were look warm and the pasties looked like they were a couple of days old, very dry and burned underneath. There were only 2 other customers and the tables had not been cleaned, floor was covered in crumbs and spilled drinks. Not a nice place. Maybe they were having a bad day. Based on our experience. Not recommend!!

Visited here twice. Sausage roll was very good when we eventually got it but we had to come in twice the same day to get it as they didn't have any in the summer. Then came back in today and no pasties again. Worst bit was they didn't tell us and we waited 20 mins to be told the pasties were a 35 min wait. Didn't bother in the end.

One of our favourite types of pasty. Have come back multiple times this year! Always get served a nice hot pasty with the most delicious filling, service is good and quick and the pasty is a perfect size and good value for the money. There is also a good steak to veg ratio in the pasty and the sausage roll has plenty of well seasoned meat inside!

We stopped here for lunch and ordered a couple of steak pasties. The lady that served us was very friendly. The pasties were served piping hot but had stuck to the inside of the bag which meant they pulled apart when we tried to take them out. They were also quite greasy and contained very little steak. We sat outside and ate in front of the shop. Once finished we did not notice any bins outside the shop other than the ones in the car park opposite. We would not return.

One of THE best pasties anywhere. Lovely small shop with very friendly and helpful staff. Pasties still delicious (started buying them over 30 yrs ago from Ann's house), though since moving to one of the local village shops, they are not quite the same (they were so good we bought Ann's book years ago with her mum's recipe in and have made them at home - still one of the best in the area, but on a par with Gear Farm pasties locally & both now topped by Brays & K's of Redruth. (sorry, not something I ever thought I'd say🫤).

Completely overrated! Ann's Pasties is praised in the travel guide because of the prizes it has won. But maybe that's the problem, effort isn't necessary. The food is of average quality, served carelessly. Above all, the tables are so sticky that even the best cleaning products are no longer of any use. Well to be honest I thought the pasties had burnt bottoms, and they are a weird mix of flaky and shortcrust pastry, and expensive for a medium pasty £4.95 Gear farm are cheaper and Prima, but hey each to their own. But one let down was when asked for a mohito ( as displayed at the bar) and a half of estrella, no one knew how to make the mohito and no one could tell on the machine how to charge for a half. The cost of living definitely was noticed. A year ago (June 2022), We brought large pasty n a large cheese/onion pasty, very tasty loads of beef chunks, potatoes, n swede. Melted chesse for the vegetarian version.Brought 5 pasties partly cooked for freezing. When we return back (Oct 2023), we look forward to the best pasties in England so disappointed. Price up by £1 far enough, but the Strink flation kicked in, about 5 small pieces of beef, very salty probably added MSG to enchance the flavour and the cheese/,onion version - the cheese still shredded inside the pastry not melted. I wouldn't mind paying a £2 increase if the standard of quality was still there. Only one positive the pastry was still flakey! Went to a chain in Cornwall called Philps in Helston and St. Micheal Mount had better filling and pepperly. Warrens in Cornwall was the same par of Annie's (Greggs equivalent) but at least cheaper when we tried in Falmouth. I give Annie's one last go next year. Hopefully, it was an off day.

Not just my opinion, others in group said the same. Lovely pasty, crispy outside, yummy inside . . . but meat is not up to usual expectations of how much you get in a pasty. So sad if it’s true they are closing this St Ives branch of their 3 stores. Sad if the town is making business too expensive to run. Thankfully they do delivery, adds about £1 per pasty. Their vegan pasty has the biggest variety of vegetables inside. I love buying few to take home and freeze each May when the St Ives Food Festival is on. St Ives has the biggest selection of pasty shops with such variety of fillings and pastries, both savoury and dessert. By the time you eat from stalls on the beach of the food festival, have a fruit and custard pasty or amazing cakes for breakfast and a savoury pasty or eat out at fantastic fish restaurants for dinner, just accept you will come home several pounds heavier. Next year i had planned to ask Pengs to have several vegan pasties frozen for me take home. At least i hope they return to St Ives with a stall on the beach for the next May festival. In fact i wish all the pasty shops would get together to have tasting trays of their pasties, on the one stall on the beach festival. It’s just impossible to get thru them all in 3 days. And Pengs will be most missed.
