Since the restaurant was quiet at the time of our visit, it created a calm and easy-going ambiance, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. If you like rich succulent curries then you're in for a treat in Annapurna. Big portions, lovely naan breads and super quick takeaway service. We even got poppadoms and yogurt dip on the house. We'll be coming back. Update after four years of semi regular visits: Annapurna is going as strong as ever. Their menu gets a small refresh every few months, so you can keep trying new delicious dishes (e.g. Palpali chicken) or rely on old favourites (e.g. Chicken Manaslu).

This is our favourite restaurant. In the 10 years it’s been open, we’ve never received a bad meal. You are greeted by Raj (the owner) who makes you feel welcome. Also, Laxmi who is an experienced front of house member of the team and like Raj, is polite, helpful and not intrusive whilst you are enjoying your food but also able to preempt when you need something. Great for small and larger groups with a good wine list. Whether you love Nepalese food or just want to try something different, you will definitely have a lovely time.

This local Indian Nepalese restaurant serves up top notch food with polite and helpful service. The Chefs seem to improve the flavours each time we visit. Curries are superb and do try the melt in the mouth Tandoori Mixed Grill - exquisite!

We celebrated a birthday at lunchtime yesterday and every aspect of the meal was terrific. We are afficianados of Nepali food and on this occasion did not go for the lunchtime only street food menu but chose from the a la carte menu. Our family, aged 4-70s, not only revelled in personal starter favourites such as pakoras, samosas and utterly delicious mo-mos but the menu catered for everyone's tastes and needs when it came to main dishes. Because the food is freshly cooked the strength of spices can usually be altered to some extent and the vegan specials always appear in our orders even though none of us are vegans. New dishes are regularly introduced whilst old favourites remain on the menu. I would rather dine here, with its clean, modern decor, excellent food and service, where there is also a lovely outdoor, shaded courtyard at the back for warm, dry days, than fight for food in one of the overcrowded, noisy riverside pubs in this area. Raj has recently celebrated 10 years in East Sheen. That is testament in these tough times for the restaurant trade that he does things right ...

It is the well written 10-year anniversary leaflet with inspiring dishes and descriptions that enticed my husband and I to the Annapurna. We were not disappointed, elegant space, delicious food and a lovely buzz. Honed quality feels and tastes wonderful.

Annapurna is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary at the moment. Congratulations!! My wife and I have been going here since the first year and are delighted that they have remained a steadfast fixture on the high street all these years. It can’t have been easy for any restaurant to keep going through years of Brexit, the pandemic, fuel and food price increases and more… It’s always a treat to pop in. The food is wonderful, very well seasoned and spiced, with a good selection on offer. Unlike some other restaurants around, Annapurna serves quality over quantity, not to say that the portions are small. Their not. The decor is clean and neat and the waiting staff are polite and friendly. I’ve seen a couple of negative feedback remarks on Google and I can honestly say I’ve not experienced any of those moments in all the years we’ve being going. I thoroughly recommend a visit. We enjoy it so much, that even thought we moved to Woking 2 years ago, we find ourselves making any excuse to call in whenever we have the chance.

Incredible food, order from the chef's menu and you won't regret it! We had the Gurkali lamb and the sunkoshi fish. Both delicious and well cooked, the fish was delicate and smokey while the lamb was deep and spicy. We will be back!

Annapurna catered for me and my partner’s vegan diets perfectly. It was delicious, unique, and very filling. There was so much choice for food and at no point did staff treat us as a burden. We could even have naan bread. A big thanks once again. We’ll be back!

Awesome food & service, that “feel good” factor at it’s maximum when you are here at Annapurna. Highly recommend chhoila chicken, butter chicken, black dal and saag paneer. Garlic naan & aubergine curry are definitely must-haves here! The hospitality is great for all the family, little ones and older!

Probably the best Indian restaurant. Fabulous food! In particular, grilled meat starter for two and Gurkali Lamb Also loved Kulfi pistachios and mango. The stuff is very attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be back to this local gem in East Sheen. Thank you for a fabulous evening

Was looking forward to the first meal from there and ordered it on Uber Eats. The driver stole the food and Annapurna constantly lied to me saying the food was cooked and ready to go and every time I called it was the same story saying the food was just cooked and handed over the driver. This was over the space of 20 minutes. Never again. Lied about our food for no reason.

Really disappointing experience. Went in and ordered takeaway, sat and had a drink while we waited. 1 hour later when I enquired where our food was the waitress told us it had accidently been given to a delivery driver and was no longer on the premises. When I asked to speak to the manager about it I was told to wait 5 minutes. While speaking to him the driver came rushing back in and took the food back into the kitchen. The manager then lied to me and told me the waitress had made up that the food had been taken by a delivery driver. He insisted the food was still warm and we received a small discount. Once home the food was of course cold and required reheating by which point it was too late. The experience cost me £100 and the managers conduct has ensured that's the last time we have food from them.

A lovely man manages the restaurant. The staff are lovely and so attentive. The food is delicious. Especially the traditional Nepalese chicken dishes. We love it.

Truly awful service. Their Deliveroo order didn't arrive but that was nothing to do with them and they wouldn't contact Deliveroo to have the food re delivered. Truly awful. I have visited the restaitsekf and had similarly poor service. Never again.

We went there to have some Nepalese food but it was Indian food with British touch. I had Nepalese food in Nepal which has different flavours. This was neither Indian not Nepalese food but just British Indian with no spices & flavour. It's not negative comment but just an honest review. Thanks

I can honestly say this is one of the, if not the best curry house, I’ve been to. I’ve been coming to the Annapurna for several years and it’s excellent. The Chicken Jalfrezi (which I know is not Nepalese) is just out of this world. The decor is exquisite, staff exceptionally friendly and the naan breads so light and tasty this is my go to restaurant in Richmond area! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Hands down the best Indian takeaway we have ever had. Have always been slightly underwhelmed with others but this was brilliant and flavoursome. Will definitely be returning!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We have been coming to Annapurna for years, both to eat in and takeaway. A wonderful family run restaurant with a real personal touch. They have recently renovated the restaurant to a high standard and have updated the menu, emphasising the Nepalese specialities which are the star dishes. By far the best curry in Barnes or Sheen. For us the must haves are the Dhaulagiri vegetable starter and for mains Rato Bhale, Gurkhali Lamb and Satvik Kofta.

We had a dinner at Annapurna yesterday with our friends and family. I just wanted to share our experience to you. The restaurant was full. We mostly ordered tandoori dishes for our starters and we were blown away with its taste , tenderness and appearance. The nan bread was the best we ever had even in India. The curry dishes were aromatic, fresh and tasted home cooked. The service was second to none. We were so happy at the end . If there was an option to give higher rating than 5 we would have given them 7. We will be now regular visitors. Thank you Annapurna.

Annapurna is a fantastic Nepalese restaurant that has been a staple of Sheen for a long while now. They have recently had a refit which makes the dining experience even better with no change to the quality of food. The staff are friendly and attentive, the drinks selection is good and the food is the best Nepalese I have ever had. If you are wanting a nice evening out in Sheen I can highly recommend Annapurna.

I just want to give my recommendation to a humble local legend of a restaurant. Myself and my partner are real “foodies” and wanted to find some good Nepalese food after becoming fans of Chef Santosh Shah from Masterchef the professionals. We realised there was a Nepalese restaurant close by in East Sheen, so we paid them a visit. And….Wow! There is something very special going on here. The staff are great. The place is immaculate. And most notably, the chef is incredible! Notable mentions here are the Annapurna Special Chicken. It melts in your mouth like butter, with beautifully balanced fresh spices. The gyoza like lamb ‘Momo’s’ are so good we ordered them again! The naan bread is perfectly light, toasted and buttery. And the ambience in their new garden out the back is the perfect setting for a memorable meal with family or friends. The manager gives us such a warm welcome every visit! It’s such an unsung, humble place that I just felt the need to share this with our community.
