Great takeaway, fast become a regular favourite - tasty food served fresh and well made

First ordering and got the hot and sour soup, salt and pepper chicken and the fried noodles. Only enjoyed the soup but the others did not taste good. Not enough flavour/seasoning and bit charcoaly….. don’t think I’d order here again.

Anise is always delicious and was the “best Chinese I’ve ever had!”. It’s never greasy and always tastes fresh. It’s also great to have somewhere that caters to both vegans and non-vegans.

Aromatic duck was top tier. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff 👍

That was the best beef in black bean sauce that I have ever tasted, and the meat was so tender. I have never seen so much meat on a rack of ribs as there was on the Capital Spare Ribs They were tender, succulent and delicious. We will order from here again for sure!

Really not good. The crispy chilli beef tasted fishy and was burnt so was like eating pork scratchings; the chicken with chilli was just awful with a few thin slices of weird tasting chicken absolutely covered in a layer of red chillis; the smoked chicken was also burnt tasting with some awful mixtures of tastes to it. I think the deep fryer needs cleaning out.

Very late, they told me it was on the way at 7.10, rang them at 7.40 to be told it still hadn't left. Food was mediocre when it arrived. All this ordering on a Wednesday at 6.25, not exactly a busy night.

Always a bit reluctant to trust a place that has nothing but great reviews but that was the best Chinese delivery I have had in a very long time. The ribs as a starter were amazing.

Nice Salt and Pepper Tofu. So many places don't make it so great but this one was yum.

The food was cold when it arrived. For the price, it either needs to be better quality or more substantial. Gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because the dessert spring rolls were delicious (despite being cold) and it came with a free bag of prawn crackers.

Dumplings - good Crispy duck - good Singapore noodles - bad (burnt, dry, no meat) Order arrived on time, driver was nice.

Great vegan Chinese food! Nice and spicy and good portions.

The food was last, as the delivery driver handed me the food the paper bag ripped and food spilled out on my floor and he said it wasn’t my fault! Well if the bag wasn’t stuffed with food it would have broken. Ordered from here many times and was disappointed in the food today it was incredibly salty, so salty we couldn’t finish some of it because it gave us a headache. This is my favourite chines and as you can see I have ordered from it many times but today I was disappointed, Usually 9/10 and all fronts but today it was a 3/10 from me.

Really excellent food. The beef and black bean sauce is to die for. But the cost and small portion sizes (meaning you need to spend quite a bit to feed a family) makes Anise a rear treat for us. Unfortunately, the specialness of a takeaway from Camden's best Chinese was hampered somewhat by late delivery and poor communication of this through JustEat. Hope they'll tweak delivery and price/ portion sizes to bring the whole experience into line with the stellar food.

Everything was generally ok, but the crispy chilli beef was awful, it tasted charred and burnt, the batter wasn’t so much crispy but just tasted of oil.

Always a shame not all the packaging is compostable. That will always prevent us from getting takeaways very often - a reminder how much goes to landfill.

Food is better than the average Chinese, but a bit pricey. It was also an hour late.

Fantastic! First time ordering and we tried an array of the vegan offerings which we’re delighted to have found. Really great seitan duck pancakes and we will certainly order again in future!

Perfect Chinese! You might think “it’s expensive” but it’s so so worth it! Proper ingredients, cashews in dishes etc. Very yummy sweet and sour chicken. We’ve finally found a Chinese in NW London yay!

Appreciate things are challenging in the current climate, but should still be able to be honest about delivery times. “10 minutes away” 4 times - well over an hour late in the end. Shame as the food is delicious.

La entrega estaba conmigo en unos 15 - 20 minutos, bien empaquetada, caliente y la comida era de un nivel mucho más alto de lo esperado. La calidad de las lonchas de cordero y la frescura del Mange Toutes fue sobresaliente, sabrosa y completamente agradable. . . ¡no pesado! ¡Fresco, crujiente y saludable! Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y elegiré volver aquí más adelante esta semana. ¡Fue TAN BUENO! El número de teléfono se muestra en su sitio, ¡ordenar es una brisa!

Food arrived piping hot. All the food was absolutely amazing! Such good choice for veggie and vegans, we’ll be ordering again very soon! A touch on the pricey side but it’s leagues above the cheaper stuff, you get what you pay for.

World may have gone a bit crazy but Anise hasn’t let that stop them cooking good quality food.

Our whole family love Anise. Fresher, tastier and more authentic than any other Chinese in the area and we are very choosy. We especially love the chilli chicken and the aubergine but every dish is 👌🏼

I’ve ordered from Anise numerous times. The food is always amazing plus it’s either early or right on the time stated for delivery when I order. The staff are always helpful and polite, even calling me to offer an alternative when they realised an item I ordered wasn’t available 5 stars 🌟

The sichwan prawns tasted like it had dish washing liquid in it and was extremely spicy it burned my lips for minutes from one bite .. I usually love the food but This time was so disappointed and starved!!

Love love love Anise, the salt and pepper prawns are to die for, they even gave me extra prawns. They’re the best Chinese around, I wouldn’t get a Chinese takeaway from anyone else :)

Best Chinese I’ve had in a very long time

Food was tasty as always, black bean beef was a little chewy but I still enjoyed. Delivery was a little late but it was just a once off. Delivery driver is always lovely and usually early, he apologised for the delay this time and explained how he got caught up with the last customer. Great service, will order again ❤️

Delicious as always and nice and hot. The chicken and sweetcorn soup is unbeatable! The Drunken Prawns can sometime be a little soggy but that's likely due to my distance from the restaurant. Love you guys!

El chino es nuestra comida para llevar favorita y desde que usamos Anís por primera vez, nada más puede acercarse. Tan diferente de lo que esperas de la comida china para llevar genérica. Se nota que se ha hecho con orgullo y con personas que realmente invierten en hacer alimentos de calidad. Además, los conductores de entrega son muy amables. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

amazing place, i'm pretty local but it's usually quick, except maybe on busy Fridays and always so tasty. Love the Prawn Chow Mein as prawns really fat and juicy.

The King Prawn Chow Mein tasted of burned, I was really disappointed. The crispy duck was nice, I'm sorry about the main I was really hungry but had just two bites 'cause the taste and smell of burned pan was really strong.

The main dishes where nice, ribs and drunken prawns. But the "Hand Crafted Spring Rolls Filled with assorted vegetables including shiitake, mushroom, bean sprouts & glass noodles £5" were a big disappointment. Tiny with thick roll batter and hardly any filling at all. I could not discern any of the above ingredients. If they were there the were cut up so small, it looked like a paste and less than half a teaspoon spread thinly on the thick batter, Seriously, hand crafted! They looked and tasted like those cheap large budget bags of frozen ones from the Asian supermarkets that you can by 50 rolls for £5! If I were a chef I would be ashamed to call them my work! Shame I do like a good spring roll. On the plus side your delivery guy was nice and friendly.

Muchos de este tipo de comentarios son dejados por cretinos que piensan que la comida basura es maravillosa, por lo que te complacerá saber que soy excepcionalmente exigente. Por eso lo digo en serio cuando digo que este lugar es genial. Una vez que ordenes desde aquí, ¡no te molestarás con ninguno de los otros! Por cierto, su personal de entrega es increíblemente amable y amigable. Un gran servicio hace una gran diferencia y estos muchachos están claramente conscientes de ello.

Saw the customer ratings and decided to give it a try. Food arrived 35min later. Tried to call the restaurant 5 times, no one picked up the phone. Contacted customer service, who managed to assist after trying to speak to 3 different representative. When food arrived driver said they got extremely busy. Food was good, delicious and got a little dessert for free. Perhaps will order them again but not or Friday or Saturday night as they obviously cannot cope with orders.

Good food but horribly expensive.

Unfortunately the taste of the food did not live up to the price. Delivery was good but food was tasteless and the pineapple tasted off.
