Never had a bad experience. Cheap and delicious, staff always friendly. They just need to introduce mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers and it would be perfect.

We order most Fridays and food is amazing, big portions and always piping hot. Last night we got the a meal deal with 2 pizza’s a cheesy garlic bread and chips, when it arrived we had another pizza instead of the g/bread. I called them up and they couldn’t be more apologetic and said to keep the pizza and would sent the g/bread right away. It arrived quickly and was upgraded to a large as an apology! Fantastic service and the best chippy around! 5* all the way

I ordered single smoke sausage. When it arrived it was half of a smoke sausage that you would buy in a supermarket. My local chippy on Milton road offers a full smoke sausage for 50p more. Guess I will be supporting my local chippy more. Everything else I have ordered from Angelo have been good portion until I ordered smoke sausage. scott from Duddingston view

Never experienced more better service. They made a mistake on one order as we had ordered 2 items and we phoned them to tell them and they actually send us another order without charging us and also they send us a free bar of chocolate and a bottle of juice. Best service and only the food would have been enough but boss went far to keep us happy. Deffo order from this place. The hoggie wrap is amazing btw

That was the best fish and chips what I ever try ! With brown sauce and salt . Yummy ! Highly recommended!! Defo will be back .

I have used Angelo’s for many years and it never disappoints lovely crisp batter and excellent fresh fish prices are reasonable and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

The Army, they say, marches on its stomach, and the Fire Service is no different. So when it comes to feeding the highly skilled rescue professionals of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, only the very best will do. Maybe unassuming, Angelo’s at Lochend road, NEVER fails to satisfy. The FINEST fish suppers in the area - if not further afield! And the chicken kebabs are the stuff of both heaven and legend! Perfectly cooked and marinated chicken, fresh salad, insanely tasty sauces and the best chip EVER (see fish supper!). Big portions that are impossible not to finish may be the cause of many food comas, but sweet baby lord jebus and all his little pixie friends, is it worth it!!! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m now off to slowly digest what I believe could be my body weight in chicken based heaven.

First time getting a takeaway from here, and I must say, it was excellent. It arrived when they said it would. We will definitely use again.

Well this used to be my favourite fish and chip shop and had many a good takeaway from here, from fish suppers to kebabs in the past. So being Sunday and feeling lazy and not wanting to cook we duly ordered a mixed kebab and a large chicken kebab. What arrived was just not what I've been used to from this establishment in the past. When did red onion and scrappy cabbage replace crisp red cabbage and lovely crisp white onion, nice succulent chicken replaced by overcooked dry chicken, tender lamb pieces replaced with lamb scraps, soooo disappointed and will not order kebabs again.

Ordered a meal deal that included large bottle of coke and chips, kebab. picked a half and half pizza as one person don’t like meat. When it come we received a glass bottle or irn bru when called man was extremely rude and refused to sort. Pizza wasn’t half in half had chicken all over so couldn’t be eaten by everyone (this I didn’t even get around to complaining about as his attitude towards the drink was enough). And the chips didn’t come as fryers broken yet this wasn’t explained to us and they still took payment. Apparently given extra donor meat. Lie but what good is extra donor meat when the person don’t eat meat and we picked this deal partly for this reason. £25 sale and only 3 out of 5 could eat had to reorder elsewhere

After trying many chip shops in Edinburgh, I have to say my personal opinion is that Angelos is by far the best. Reasonably priced and the food is always quick, fresh and good quality, Highly recommend the fish, chicken pokora and the wide variety of pizza. Definitely a must try. Title could have read great chappie but like so many chip shops these days they offer so much more. With deliveries being so popular now, you might think that the shop would not be as busy but this place is always busy. They also had at least three delivery guys working that night so that bears testament to the quality of the food. I have always enjoyed food from there and because it is so busy you always seem to be guaranteed freshly cooked chips.

Soggy fish batter and worst pizza in town!!! Waited over an hour when called the girl Told me was leaving the shop and 27mins later turned up!! Never again

Amazing chippy, run and owned by brilliant people who offer a fantastic service, very friendly and efficient. This takeaway offers a great service and the food is high-quality and standard. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be back. Gareth and Amy.

Esta es la última vez que uso este chippy, hay otros igual de cercanos y mejores,La comida de nuevo más de 1 hora para esperar a ser entregado y cuando lo conseguimos la comida era cálida, muy pequeña porción de ensalada que acompañaba al kebab, la última vez que tuvimos el pescado la pasta estaba pasada como si el pescado estuviera sentado durante años, Creo que este lugar va cuesta abajo rápido

Use Angelos una vez al mes normalmente bueno, pero esta noche ordenó una cena de pescado como un regalo con salsa y vinagre. Solo esperé un corto tiempo pero cuando llegó solo tenía sal sobre ella sin salsa ni vinagre. Considerando que no tomo sal, mis gatos realmente lo disfrutaron y aún tengo hambre. Esperando que sea solo un blip.

Pedimos pizzas la semana pasada. Me tomó años llegar a nosotros y cuando lo hicieron, mis coberturas estaban equivocados. No podía afrontar tener que esperar años para arreglarla.

Can't be let down by Angelo! This is my no.1 go-to for fish and chips. Massive servings, the best chippy sauce and always crispy and fresh! Pizza is gorgeous too and super inexpensive. Hamburgers are great, salad is fresh. Everything a good chippy should be.

Although we waited nearly an hour for our order of two fish suppers it was well worth the wait. Delicious, fresh and a huge portion- one between us would have been more than enough. Would thoroughly recommend.

I have used this chippy for so many years always had good food great deals so last few times av had pizzas I haven't enjoyed them but benefit of doubt but now am done no more the guy that does them now is shocking pizza realy thick burnt at edges and jus not way they used to be the one time I went in to get one he was to busy trying to be the big man rather than watch the food no complaints with chips and other fried food and most staff nice but realy need sort the pizzas out don't know if it's change of dough or jus that the guy can't do pizzas not the first time realy hate saying that I won't be using this place again for pizzas or kebabs happy to get a supper but that's it !!!

First time we have used this takeaway and we were not disappointed. Chips were amazing. Pizza was really nice and tasty and the delivery came quick as was still really hot. Will definitely use this place again.

Been visiting this place for chips n sauce or fish n chips for nearly 40 years and it does not falter.Best chips and sauce in Edinburgh!If you want to try traditional Scottish fish n chips then this is the place to come although the menu is diverse and it looks and smells like the other fast food including pizzas is as tasty as the fish and chips they stay true to the fish and chips.I never go to Edinburgh without a visit to this place.Make the effort to go you won't be disappointed.Everything is fresh and tasty.

We got a deal with two pizzas, a kebab, chips and drink for 16pounds. Food was good + masses of it - will do for tomorrow's tea too.
