Angelines in Darlington

Overall it was good but the meat portion sizes just made me feel I’d been robbed, everybody in the restaurant were talking and complaining about them they really were disgusting, off each meat the were about 3-4 inches long and about 1 inch wide and cut wafer thin I upgraded to large after seeing the portion sizes but the only difference between them was you got 2 sausages on the large for an extra £2 that’s £1 a sausage, I won’t be returning to Toby Carvery Darlington much better value for money at a pub chain

A pleasant person served our beverages and made ourselves comfortable even though it was freezing outside and raining

Estuve en este pub un montón de veces y no tuvo problemas, pero hoy el personal era horrible 7 de diciembre de 2024 el joven tomó nuestro pedido de bebidas tomó 20 minutos, luego una joven vino con pedido de comida lo arruinó cuando le pedí un poco de ketchup, ella tenía la mejilla para poner los ojos en mí y tut, ella fue muy grosera, los jóvenes en el día de hoy, solo los dos parecía que no les importaban los clientes

Si pudiera poner cero estrellas lo haría. Fui a tomar unas copas y una comida con mi novia que fue al bar a pedir por nosotros. Ambas comidas venían con bebidas gratis, pero la camarera cometió un error y no obtuvo una de las bebidas gratis con la comida que mi gf ya había pagado. Después de que mi GF le hizo saber a la empleada que se hacía llamar la gerente que no se había añadido una de las bebidas gratis, ella le dijo que ya había aceptado la transacción y que si queríamos una bebida con ella tendríamos que pagarla. Obviamente esto avergonzó a mi amiga y vino a buscarme para resolverlo, pero recibí exactamente el mismo tratamiento y me repitió lo mismo que ya habíamos acordado y si queríamos la bebida ahora tendríamos que pagar. Las cosas se calentaron como la niña era como el personaje de la pequeña Gran Bretaña básicamente diciendo que la computadora dice que no! Cómo tiene la osadía de llamarse a sí misma la gerente nunca lo sabré, es una vergüenza para la cadena y no debería estar trabajando allí. Yo por mi parte nunca volveré a ir a William stead después de ir allí durante años.

We visited the spotted Dog for a Xmas dinner with friends. We had been before and enjoyed but it was even better on this occasion than we had remembered. The greeting when we arrived was warm and friendly which reflected the overall atmosphere in the pub. We had pre dinner drinks 🥤 in the bar area before being taken to our table for dinner. The waitress gave us the specials for the evening and took our order for drinks and then our food order. Our starters were fabulous! My husband had plate envy so we both shared our starters as they were sooo good. Lots of lovely flavours! The main course followed and it didn’t disappoint. My husband had a lamb dish which he loved, our friends had the pork T bone chop and I had fish which was superb. All came well presented and were Absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the evening with excellent product knowledge of their choice of wines, other beverages as well as the food menu and daily specials . Nothing we requested was too much trouble! We had a fabulous evening and will very much look forward to visiting again this wonderful village pubs and restaurant.
