Food was not that good looked like it was microwave food

We had my nannas 90th gathering here was a great day lovley staff Nathan went out of his way to make sure we was all ok and had what we needed such a lovley man thank you for helping make my nannas day a great one with us

Staff were lovely and really friendly. Food was very basic and mixed temperatures. Fairly cheap meals but this was reflected in the quality of the food.

Poppped in here for some food with my daughter this evening around 5pm, the staff are great but some of the locals in there are shocking. Old guy on the next table thought it was ok to tell me and my daughter to finish our food and f&£k off after we dared to sit in the bar area for food. Don’t think he liked it when he was confronted about it in front of his friends, but continued to be rude, attitude was disgusting from the moment he walked in the bar. Im sure most of the locals are great, but people like him give the place a bad name, thinks he’s entitled because he’s a regular in there. Safe to say they won’t be getting my custom again!

Lovely place to eat, came here with a friend. food was fantastic with fantastic service. I would definitely recommend this place. Special mention to Laura and Rayhannah, they couldn't do enough for you. Very polite and helpful. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend the lasagne, the offer of 2 meals for 11.99 was even better!!! Less than 20 quid for us both.

I called in here for a bite to eat with my boys after we had been to the local bike park, we decided to try the limited edition hot dog, they were very nice, tasted like u we’re at a German market, my kids enjoyed them too so we hope they keep them on the menu. Very cosy and friendly place, Brad was welcoming and helpful.

We love coming here for pub grub! It seems better quality than other greeneking/flaming grills that we’ve been to no matter how busy it is. All the staff are always nice and polite, Lee especially.

We had a lovely meal at the Angel as a party of 14 for a family birthday. All of our food was served at the same time and was delicious. The manager and his team were friendly andcouldnt do enough for us. We will definitely be back. Thanks.

The attitude of a so called manager of this public house was absolutely shocking. If you are dealing with the public selling a service, you have to have certain qualities. I'm afraid this person falls well short of this. His name is Nathan. He cannot manage his own attitude, the wrong person for the job. I must point out that the rest of the bar staff are good.

Ordered vegan nachos, got the wrong version originally but the manager and Brad were absolutely brilliant at sorting the error and making sure we got the right food together. The bar staff are really friendly and the prices are reasonable. But big up Brad.

I been coming to the angel for years I often bring a disabled lad and a autistic lad who both feel more comfortable using the app. I will buy them a drink at the bar out my own money but they order there food on the app .I get on with all the staff there but there is one bar lad that works there with glasses on that as a bad attitude at times not all the time though but on numerous acations over the last few years because the lads ordered on the app and he come out to us with bit of a atiitude when it been during busy times telling us to go to bar because it getting busy one disabled and other autistic if they want to order on app they order on app. Today was last straw for me let the other times slide I promised the lads I'd complain next time he comes out to us tell us lad I brought his order gone through but the app having issues with us fair enough he brought his food out but no drinks we waited five mins so I went to ask him at the bar if the drinks went through he had attitude like I was bothering him or something non of the other staff members as ever been like that or as told us go to bar they bringing it out with a smile on there face he not always like that but he been like that with us too menny times now . Been a few times very nice food

It's a fair while since I was last at The Angel. Not sure quite why because it's well worth a visit. Nothing fancy, just good food at a fair price in a comfortable pub - simple as that. The staff seemed happy and were well up to the job of keeping the customers supplied. Easy car parking too.

We have eaten here quite regularly and each time the food has been lovely. The staff are very friendly, the prices are reasonable - in fact we've booked our Christmas Day dinner here!!!

Nice place to have a pint and some food!

Possibly the worst food I've had in a long time. Tables and menus sticky with grease.. Starter served on what looked like a grim baking tray with a bit of paper thrown over it. Where on the menu does it say the mixed grill comes with brown, slimy onions? Slimy onions and fried eggs? No thanks. Absolutely rank. What a waste of money.

We visit The Angel regularly and often bring family. The food and service are always to a high standard. Big shout out to Julie and the gentleman who’s name escapes me at the moment apologies you were amazing today - we visited today for a family lunch and a lady behind the bar who we have encountered on many occasions and as always she was her rude self didn’t disappoint again she took our order and read it back correctly. Somehow she managed to only submit half an order. Julie and co were very quick to sort it all out and ensure we had a lovely meal. Thank you both for that. I do feel that being the first person you meet the lady behind the bar should be retrained on how she conducts herself and how to take an order if it wasn’t for the rest of the team and their excellent customer service people would not return.

Started going here a few weeks ago and have been back quite a few times staff always friendly and never had a bad meal nothing to complain about at all

I phoned up to make a booking. The man who answered was so helpful and polite. He helped me get a table that was suitable for a baby and pushchair. Great customer service and you have a great employee working for you. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Will deffo be returning x

Decent value food. Some items were not available for our party of 15 but the staff did their best for us anyway. Nice sizzling steaks. Good bakewell and custard! Staff were extremely patient (especially when faced with people in our party who were not paying attention to what they had ordered when food was being brought out and the poor lady had to stand there with those heavy skillets)

Came on a Friday night, Laura the manager was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, we had table service which was brilliant, so relaxing, food was amazing as always.. had to leave the review via my daughters Google account as dont have one.. definitely recommend Angel, staff are lovely, atmosphere brilliant..

I popped in for a drink after work and had some hunters fries as well, this was my first visiting the angel inn and will definitely bring the family for food, the staff were really friendly also

Wonderful Sunday roast. Everything was good. Roasties mash, veg and beef dripping gravy, had the beef rib as my meat it was tender. Puds are lovely, too. Would definitely recommend 😉👍

The member of staff taking food order at bar was rude, didn't give a chance to use discount card, he missed my food order completely so I can't rate the food so I was the only one in my group who didn't get theirs. The drinks (Fanta, coke) tasted watered down! I will not be returning! We went on February 25th for my partner's birthday.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, fast service

the customer service was atrocious, we were served by somebody very rude. Who rushed my partner into paying full price and told her to use her blue light card later which was bot fulfilled due to how busy they were. The staff member who served us wasn't listening so one of the party members food did not arrive as essentially we didn't pay for it. The words chosen by the staff member was: "I'm not being funny but there's a queue, can't we just use the card later" when was my partner able to use her discount later? we were told there was going to be a 30minuite wait time, which turned into 45 minutes. the drinks on tap were watered down along with the alcoholic beverage. There was then a poor atmosphere as our party member didn't recieve her food. the food was absolutely horrid, the chicken nuggets were burned, the food had clearly sat under the hot lamps as both burgers were terribly dry, congealed cheese. We spoke to the bar staff about our problems and their solution was to make the meal but it would another 30minuites wait and we would have to pay for the meal. I've copy and pasted this into an email as a complaint. Do not go here!!! Another complaint is the trays reminded us of prison food trays and the whiteboard booking which looked atrocious and was left on our table to remind us of when we needed to leave.

Food was very good, great choices and portion sizes. Prices are amazing, especially on deal days, can’t fault it. Staff very helpful and checked with us that everything was okay. Have booked to visit again. Thanks so much.

Food wasn't up to scratch this evening

On main road A61 between Leeds and Wakefield. Large car park to rear with 2 wheelchair accesses to main ground floor areas. Wheelchair accessible toilet. Wide choice menu with reasonable prices. Good range of draught and bottled bers, larger and wines. Parts with Tv's to watch sport on.

Food piping hot, pie was tasty. Enjoyed the mix grill, nice touch with the skillet. Good service call back to check all OK.

Nice meet up place between Leeds and Wakefield ,easy parking,plenty of tables and nice busy atmosphere..Had the beef flat bread ..it was lovely 😋

The staff are very friendly and Emma is a credit to the chain as on many occasions I have seen her running around cleaning and doing all the jobs others don’t want to do. If I was her employer I wouldn’t want to let her go. Some of the other staff are very slow and I hate it when their serving.

We come to The Angel for food as a family regularly. It is a really friendly place, food is amazing. We have never had any complaints. If you have not been, give it a go.

We had a lovely meal there on Boxing Day, all 14 of us. We had burgers, lasagne and mixed grills which were all delicious! The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Thanks go to Nathan and his team.😀

Bit of a rough hole. Cheap and cheerful type pub with enough fried chicken to feed an army. Not my thing but it's ok for some I guess.

Food was really nice. We were a family of 9 and some had almost eaten their main course before the last 2 received theirs. Bacon missed off the burgers and a hair in a starter. It would not stop me going again

Decent enough mixed grill. However a bit stunned when I asked for mustard to be told "Oh we don't have mustard anymore" Sacrilege not having mustard with a mixed grill!!
