One of the best places to get fish and chips in fleet and Crookham by far. There is always lovely service from whoever is behind the counter. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. There is never much of a wait and you are able to phone ahead for collection.

£11.75 for Grease sodden battered fish and soggy chips. The chip portion appeared smaller than usual too. 3rd visit and the last. I ordered just after opening. Maybe this was the reason(inexcusable) for poor quality serving. With the batter removed, the fish (plaice) tasted really nice. A shame it was ruined by the oily soggy batter and very soft soggy chips. Ate the fish chuck the batter and chips in the bin. Waste of money. I won’t be returning !!

I don't think I've ever been here when it's quite so that's got to say something it's got to be one of the best chippy's about, the foods always fresh, great Value for money everytime I visit the que is alway outside the door, staff are friendly and welcoming even when it's busy if there 10 stars I would personally give it 10/10

I thought I would write a review as the fish and chips from Ancells are consistently outstanding. The staff are friendly and efficient and always give a waiting time. It ranges from 5-10 mins, that way the food is always fresh and crispy. I have haddock and chips and my daughter has scampi. I have even had the cod bites for lunch and they were amazing with a decent amount of fish inside. The batter is so crispy and the fish is really good, my mum who is fussy where she gets her fish and chips also said 'what a lovely bit o fish'! For me also I just love the chips, chunky and a little crispy but just how fish and chips should be. Love the way they are so soft in the middle when they soak up the vinegar and then you get the salty flavour. Hmm....cant wait for them to open today :) The best fish and chip shop for at least a 5 mile radius. Believe me I've tried them all as lived around the area for 20 odd years. Try them, you wont be disappointed.

Have just had cod and chips for the first time from Ancells Fish&Chips, and WOW they were superb !!! The staff were very friendly, my order took only a 10mins wait on a Saturday evening and it was rather busy so I was really impressed with the service. I shall certainly be coming again and will highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for excellent fish & chips !!

Absolutely great food and service. We went there first time tonight, but definitely it wasn't the last. My kids loved cod bites and burgers. The portion of food are perfect size and in affordable price.

Small shop but very well organized. Visiting from USA that team shows how you be busy but still satisfy customers because they are task orientated and everyone plays their part competently. The fish was delicious with not too much batter or oily , the service was there to witness despite being busy the wait was acceptable. Staff very friendly and no attitude. Nice thin batter over cod, mini chips more than enough recommend that amount even to share. Didn't have that stogy bloated feeling you get sometimes, after eating fish and chips

Very slow service ,but food was good

Good quality fish and chips from here. The fish was freshly fried to order and the portion sizes were good for the price. A small cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £9.45. The shop was busy (which is always a good sign) but there wasn’t too long a wait. Nice crisp batter and well cooked cod. The chips were nice and thick and pretty well cooked but could have been a bit crisper being critical. Both were a little greasy but not too bad. Top marks for the packaging with food wrapped in paper and placed in a paper bag, no plastic or polystyrene rubbish here!

fish has skin on and need to change oil . old oil needs changing more often. chips need cooking longer . under cooked

Just popped in 5mins before they close and team still sorted me out for a great burger, chips and sausage. It's easy to see why they're the best local chip shop. Thank you Team 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well in my photo it’s meant to be plaice and chips, it looks like a car crash! The fish (that’s what you call it) is horrid, no taste and no fish, just hard batter! Chips are no better. Last visit for me. £9 wasted.

Just over £15 for Jumbo battered sausage and chips x3 with 2 curry sauces. Very resonable price and delicious 😋

Very good quality fish and chips, definitely worth the wait (and for me, the travel as well, as it is 15 minutes from my place)! The queue length varies per day and time of the day, sometimes you get your order right away if you are lucky. Will definitely go back again!

The fish and chips were very tasty. They miss out on 5 stars because they have a peculiar system for telephone orders. It does not work well and left me and my brother in law standing out in the cold for many minutes past the arranged collection time.

Big hype over a big bit of fish that you can't even get, small portion, i love fish and chips and go all over the country to get it and score it out of 10 so this chippy people are very nice fish and chips is 5 out of 10 and they could change a bit that push the score up a bit within 5 miles of this chippy are two shops one is a 7 and the other one is a 8 out of 10
