Aberdeen ha sido durante mucho tiempo un místico en la escena de la comida con muchas gemas escondidas escondidas, a veces lo más difícil es encontrarlas! Tenía muchas ganas de visitar Amuse ya que había recibido un vale como regalo. Lamentablemente toda la experiencia fue abrumadora. No había estado en Amuse por un tiempo y quería entretener a un buen amigo, así que estaba un poco preocupado cuando me enteré de que el reconocido chef propietario Kevin Dalgleish estaba en una rara noche libre, PERO no había necesidad de preocuparse. El restaurante estaba absolutamente lleno y animado. Excelente bienvenida y fabulosa chica Lily fue creo que gerente de turno y absolutamente excelente. Sobresaliente diversión bouche, langosta & entrante de vieira , corzos & trucha de mar - seriamente bueno . Fantástico joven camarero y sumiller (Kieran y Gregor). Sommelier nos ayudó a elegir increíbles vinos tintos, blancos y del desierto. Sinceramente , fue una comida y velada fantástica - multitud mixta / joven , gran ambiente en un restaurante sofisticado bellamente diseñado con gran iluminación , increíble arte original y una carta de vinos excepcional . No es el restaurante más barato de la ciudad, pero está justo allí con lo mejor de los restaurantes Michelin y no podríamos haber estado más contentos Kevin y Nicola deben estar muy orgullosos del excepcional equipo que han reunido para complementar el exquisito menú y alrededores.

Me sorprenden algunos de los comentarios así - así. Cenamos en Amuse un jueves por la noche moderadamente ocupado, y salimos impresionados y encantados. El espacio subterráneo es muy cómodo y muy bien equipado. Un poco de cuadros, pero no demasiado; mesas bien espaciadas por lo que era cómodo tener una conversación. El servicio fue amable y profesional - las cosas avanzaron rápidamente, pero sin nunca una sensación de prisa. Y la comida era absolutamente genial. Destacan los entrantes Stopazetti (sp? ); la trucha de mar y la langoustina sorprendentes y deliciosos; un entrante especial de remolacha y venado. Todo perfecto. Y, si te gusta ese tipo de cosas, no te saltes el cóctel especial de jengibre - algo así como jazzeado - hasta Rob Roy y genial. Muy buena y bastante selección de vinos por copa.

Un poco de una crítica mixta. El restaurante es precioso, aunque un poco oscuro y el personal que nos encontramos era muy agradable y atento. La comida era fabulosa, pero no sin problema. Pedimos las especialidades de entrada, langosta y vieiras, por las que se pagaba un suplemento. La langosta estaba fabulosa, pero no, pero las vieiras estaban demasiado cocidas. El pan que pedimos obviamente había sido cocinado demasiado tiempo o en un horno demasiado caliente porque el fondo era marrón oscuro y casi no comestible. Teníamos el cordero y la carne de res mejilla principal que eran deliciosos, pero el cordero estaba sobre salado. La tarta del tratado también estaba seca. Ninguno de estos problemas fue suficiente para arruinar nuestra experiencia, pero definitivamente lo suficiente para hacernos cuestionar el precio si no era perfecto.

My business associate and I went here for a pre christmas lunch. The reception was lukewarm and the service was passable. The hummus starter was badly presented and the beef was a terrible cut of meat but we soldiered on. The dessert of quite bland. the coffee was weak with no flavour. The only good thing was the miniscule mince pie that came with it. We were driving so only had bottled water. Imagine my surprise when the bill was in excess of £200!! That's 2 hours I'm never going to get back!

We tried to book a table for 8 pm a day in advance but ended up calling and securing a table for 8:30 pm. When we arrived a quarter of an hour early, a polite waiter warmly welcomed us. Our table, located by the window, provided a view of the frozen plants outside struggling for survival. We were presented with still bottled water from Deeside, and the menu was tempting. We opted for the six-course tasting menu with the sommelier's wine pairings. Beautiful amuses started our meal. We had to order a glass of Taittinger since the first amuse was not paired. The first amuse was a shimeji mushroom delight, followed by pumpkin and parmesan. A South African Cinsault paired wonderfully with the flavorful beef tartare. Next came the bread and butter; the crust was crispy, and the taste was plain. The strozzapreti in double chicken stock with truffles and parmesan was rich in taste and matched perfectly with the South Italian red wine from Calabria. The New Zealand Chardonnay was also quite special, elevating the salmon dish beyond imagination. The gentle smokiness of the salmon, combined with the rich sauce and the acidity of the cured cucumber, exceeded my wildest expectations. The roe deer was divine, with textures and flavors creating a culinary symphony, complemented by an amazing Portuguese Douro wine. The cheesecake was an explosion of flavor, and the South African dessert wine was equally good, owing to its quality and complexity. Thank you, Kevin, for a fantastic evening. We truly appreciate the effort you and your outstanding team have put into the menu, the wine selection, and the service. Thank you once again for an incredible experience. We will definitely be back.

Very relaxed afternoon enjoying food from the Christmas menu. Always find it a bit annoying when there are supplements for courses. Just get the menu / costs balanced so there is a fixed price! Food was delicious. Service was good too but disappointing to see one member of the team in a very grubby (food stained) jacket. Mulled wine took a while … and when it arrived it wasn’t a generous, warming cup! Tasted ok but like warm and two mouthfuls for £10.

Fantastic meal at Amuse, everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. Our server Mitchell was absolutely amazing, so attentive and incredibly genuine. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to our friends and family.

Vine aquí con un grupo de 6 para el almuerzo del domingo. En primer lugar lo positivo. El restaurante es atractivo. También había un buen número de camareros, amables y dispuestos. Algunos de nuestra gente disfrutaron de su comida. Para aquellos que tenían la carne asada el domingo, la comida era horrible. Mi carne estaba seca, dura e insípida. Realmente terrible. Verduras frías, patatas asadas cubiertas de una salsa horrible que las hizo remojar. Nadie revisó la mesa para ver si éramos felices. Nadie verificó por qué mi comida permaneció sin comer. Cuando expresamos nuestra decepción con la comida era obvio que el personal no tenía idea de cómo responder. Tuvimos que hacer un seguimiento y tratar de obtener una respuesta. Suficientemente agradable, pero no puedo creer que este sea un restaurante con estrellas Michelin. El menú del almuerzo parecía prometedor, pero la comida estaba sobresalada. Celebramos el desayuno de bodas de mi hermana aquí el lunes 16 de septiembre parte de la mesa superior del restaurante (zona de comedor privada? ) fue una experiencia fabulosa . . la comida era buena y el personal absolutamente increíble . . muy buen servicio, ya que en ese momento no nos dimos cuenta de que ahora el restaurante estaba abierto los lunes por la noche (pensamos que lo teníamos exclusivamente para nosotros) . . somos del país occidental Inglaterra y la mayoría del grupo de bodas eran de Inglaterra . . Fue una experiencia encantadora. . restaurante muy limpio y ambiente encantador

We had high hopes of lunch here but it was honestly a bit disappointing. Service was extremely slow and lunch took nearly 3 hours to complete, most of it waiting. The food was nice but not really special and everyone in our party thought it was over salted and the side vegetables seemed very rich. The plates were not hot enough and we had to ask for extra gravy - which again took ages to arrive. Generally the price was to be expected although the extra charge for 4 small pieces of bread was exorbitant. Probably won’t return.

Having been here before then tonight’s experience for a special birthday was really disappointing The service was dreadful not what I expect from a Michelin star restaurant, won’t be back Waited ages for drinks and food seemed to be focused on a private party upstairs

Lovely set lunch menu particularly if you like seafood. Dishes beautifully presented. Great flavours. Relaxed service. Pleasant surroundings. Would definitely come back.

Overall very good and we will return for special occasions. Dined on a Saturday evening for a birthday treat. We had the taster menu with sommeliers wine pairing. The sommelier was excellent, she was full of enthusiasm and very knowledgable. The service as a whole was very good. The layout of this basement restaurant makes seating tricky as some tables don’t feel part of the restaurant. The table for two we were on was up against a wall hence you couldn’t see the main body of the restaurant. The table itself was a bit tired. The stand out dishes for us were the monkfish and lamb but the star was the chocolate dessert with hazelnut cream, best dessert we’ve ever had. The ones we enjoyed least was the small tartlet served as one of the canapés and the lobster ravioli (didn’t have much lobster in it and the pasta wasn’t the best). Being served our monkfish by the chef himself was a really lovely touch. Will definitely return.

the food was delicious, the presentation was perfect, but 3 hours in a dark basement with little air (of which we only waited 40 minutes for the menu) killed all the ideal combinations of flavors . Maybe for romantic dinner it’s fine, but for us it was not good experience

My dinner at Amuse was excellent, we were taken care of by very attentive staff who boasted a great knowledge of the menu. We were offered water and drinks which came promptly, followed by a thorough explanation of the specials, we opted for the crab starter, half lobster fish course and roe deer main course - every dish was phenomenal! The wine list was extensive and very well curated - would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Thank you Kevin and the team!

Fixed menu which was quite heavy on seafood, but food was very good. Booked for the start of my wife's birthday and it was a really nice experience.

So I should start and say that the food I was served was good and tasty and I enjoyed the 80s pineapple and cheese, however I’ve reduced the rating to average based on what in my view was a lack of value for money. The 3 courses added up to £71 and as we didn’t order bread (weren’t told it was extra) we didn’t get it and would have been another £6.5 for 2. Portions versus price didn’t really add up and the dressed crab I had was more like crab mouse on 2 pieces of Bellini. Damn shame but suppose we were paying for the name rather which gets a certain mark up.

The restaurant was so cold my husband had to ask for his coat back. The music was so loud we could not hear each other across the table in the empty restaurant. The server said there was a problem controlling the volume of the music. My main course of stuffed skate wing tasted of ammonia indicating it was off, although feedback from the kitchen was there was nothing wrong with it. Overall not the experience you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant.

Hi Kevin, I Really did not want to have to raise this concern complaint having had such good experiences of your restaurant in the past, circa ten times. I booked this table for 6 for my 60th birthday celebration and my sons engagement.at 1300 today. Both starters and main course were excellent as usual. My son recommended the tart to which 4 of us decided to have this. Unfortunately we all found the tart dry and the pastery rock hard my son was annoyed that it was so poor after recommending this to us. We raised concern when we were asked what we thought of the deserts and at that stage the waiter went to report this. When I went to pay the bill I was surprised that this item had not been removed. I spoke to a young lad that said he was the manager and he replied in a very condescending way that we had all finished the tart. This was not the case. Distinctly average. The small portions of food were tasty, the staff were pleasant, but the drinks service was woeful. The wine to go with the starters arrived as we were finishing our starters, the wine was warm and port arrived as we were finishing our cheese. The ‘Koffman’ chips advertised on the menu turned up as McDonald’s chips, and we were charged for 2 drinks that we did not have. This meal was for a special occasion that ended up not feeling special at all.

Fabulous food and service in a great setting. The bill said a 12.5% service charge was added but only after we left did we realise this was not the case and now feel bad for not tipping as the whole experience was exceptional!

Went for late Sunday lunch. The roast beef melted in your mouth and lovely selection of vegetables. The asparagus started was so tasty. Overall it was a very nice experience, staff very attentive and friendly.

Absolutely amazing dinner experience. Food is so delicious, an absolute gem in Aberdeen. Staff are outstanding and so attentive- Mitchell in particular was fantastic! Looking forward to coming again soon.

After a nice candlelight tribute concert, me and my wife came to dine at amuse. Each course from starters to dessert was extremely delicious. The amuse staff were very accommodating, and knowledgeable on what wines I could pair with my meal, they were spot on! For living in Aberdeen all my life, I have to say that’s the best food I have ever tasted. Class from start to finish! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Amuse.

excellent meal last night , I had the asparagus for a starter and it was delicious followed by the paoched lemon sole which was excellent, myhusband had a pasta starter followed by the RoeDeer which he said was first class The experience was made even more special by our waiter Mitchel who was extremely attentive and informative regarding both the food and wine choice and he contributed to our overall experience in our first visit to the restuarant

The food was absolutely outstanding - we had a fish course, main, desert and cocktail and every element met expectations and more. We had a few servers including Rebecca who really looked out for us providing excellent service and a little humour on the side which created a really relaxed dining experience which we appreciated. We can’t wait to dine with you again!

Had a voucher for a meal, had to cancel at short notice due to medical emergency. Phoned restaurant explained the situation was told the manager would phone me back , still awaiting a call even after further contact by myself and by the voucher company who tried to help. They now say that as time has passed the date of the voucher they will not honour it. Not very customer focused at all.

Overall, a somewhat disappointing dinner experience at Amuse. The food was not bad but there were long waits between courses. Unfortunately, the service was just not up to the standard required for a high-end restaurant.

I was gifted an itison voucher as a valentines present from my husband, I was really looking forward to trying the restaurant and was sadly very let down. When we arrived we informed the front of house we had a voucher and from that point on we we were very much made to feel like we had a voucher. We were taken through the “elite” part of the restaurant to what felt like the cheap seats at the back in the conservatory area. It had around 5/6 tables of 2 all clearly on the same deal, obvious as you were delivered your bread and Prosecco (complimentary with the voucher) before your bum even hit the seat. I was looking forward to the overall experience of fine dining, and began taking in my surroundings. The decor of the “Itison section” was sad, tables scratched, a solitary tea light candle burnt out, so just a flame in a puddle of wax, not even in a holder, didn’t bring much ambience. The roof of the conservatory was thick with dirt and moss with a single half deflated number 6 helium balloon stuck in the rafters clearly from the day before, reachable with a step ladder. I understand that you can’t clean your roof every day but this was years of dubs, if seating people there, in a restaurant of this callibar, you’d expect maintenance of all aspects. Toilets were also needing a revamp. The menu was very minimal with only 2 options that didn’t include a supplementary charge. We ordered a bottle of ridiculously over priced red wine and our food. The food arrived extremely quickly, starters were nice but not ground breaking, I had soup and my husband had the parfait. Our mains arrived not even 5mins following clearing the starters and they were average at best, my “rump steak” was clearly a minute steak, a millimeter thick at most, it was chewy and the peppercorn sauce was more of a juice which drowned my already sad looking rocket side, fries over cooked. My husband opted for the special venison ragu which was very basic, not offensive but nothing to rave about, served with penne pasta which I thought was a bit random. Desserts were lovely, couldn’t fault them. Tea and coffee was included however we didn’t fancy it, the waiter offered us an alternative of an espresso martini each for a small charge to cover the 2 measures of vodka. Not the case when it came to recieving the bill. Service overall was good, they were pleasant and attentive however we did feel a little rushed. The bill arrived and for 1 bottle of red wine (cheapest on the menu), 2 measures of vodka (as promised) and service charge we were £100. Ridiculously overpriced, average at best food and adequate service. Not Amused 😬

Terrible 2 course lunch. Steak was chewy and sauce too salty. Chips were like they were from McDonald’s. Pudding nice but small portion. Poor experience.

Usually I don't like negative feedback, however, looking through the previous feedback, I have to agree and state my obvious negatives first. Some staff stank of smoke, grossly overpriced drinks, uncomfortable chairs and also toilets a let down. On taking a wrong turn I also noted at the rear, the emergency escape route was being used as an store for excess tables and chairs, which in an emergency would probably have a devastating result should it need to be used in anger! This is unacceptable, and I felt bad not brining it to the managers attention at the time. Food was good, yet a long way from being classed and priced as MICHELIN.

Sunday lunch with my partner, daughter and her partner. Ambiance: delightful. Service: excellent. Food: loved the sirloin of beef - just right for me as a non-rare eater! Brilliant vegetables. Must have: ice cream scoops as desert - if no too full!

A great meal again at Amuse. All the dishes Pork Belly, Lobster Ravioli, Guinea fowl, Sea Bass, Gingerbread Tiramisu, Pavlova, and Cheese were excellent. Good wine, and cocktails, coupled with excellent service (Nicola is superb) made sure that the dinner was a great experience.

Atmospheric and finished to a high standard. Smart and relaxed. Top class complex food without being over worked and super welcoming service. Wonderful home made chocolates with good coffee and tea. Absolutely deserving of a Michelin star. Excellent value too.
