Amran Tandoori in North Lanarkshire

Ordered a mixed large pakora wouldnt like to see a small portion, 4 bits of chicken and 5 burnt vegetable pieces, must have been a whole chopped onion on top, disgrace for the price.

The munchies box I got was dry cold and didn't get the only picora option I paid extra for luckily because the chicken was so dry no one wanted to eat it

One of the best lamb curries I've every had. Delicious.

felt the nan needed more cooking , was not impressed with the chicken at times thought I was eating beef or lamb so probably won't order from hear again

Called to ask where the doner meat was in my "KING" mixed kebab & got hung up on lol literally 3 strands of doner. You'd think they would pack it with doner meat since it's the cheapest item in the box but nope 🤷 shocking for 16 quid. Quality of food is up there with the best but the staff clearly can't take any constructive critisim so won't be ordering again, when that's how they treat their customers.

Homemade pakoras are the best.

Bought chicken tikka kebab and was absolutely swimming at the bottom. Chicken was absolutely rubber too. One bite and in the bin. Vile

Nice burger and sauce however chips need to be cooked longer. When you place chips into a plastic tub and tie a plastic bag they get wet and soggy cook them more!

When your order includes doner meat and you don’t get any doner it’s a complaint to just eat!

Lack of salad peppers and onion

i called the restaurant to be told my food was on its way and would be with me in a couple of minutes. 15 minutes later i had to call again to be told the driver had a lot of deliveries but would deliver soon. Why book a time slot giving over an hour to deliver and be almost 30 mins late ??.

Delivered early which was fab as we were hungry - food piping hot - pizza and kebab were spot on as usual - delicious

Not only was the food ridiculously late!, it was sent to the wrong address!?, and they never bothered to call me!, I had to call them!!!!, which is appalling custom service in my opinion!, if you make a mistake you should call to fix if!, it is ridiculous!, that I had to phone to try and fix THEIR mistake, not only that but I wasn’t even given an apology by whoever I spoke to on the phone!.

Got king doner kebab with salad sauce and chicken curry fried rice both were outstanding since I'm new to the area

Got a portion of chips and a fish pakora both were very very poor. The chips were hard it was obvious they had been fried twice I would have been happy to wait longer to have my chips cooked from frozen rather than what so many takeaways do now is ruin the chips by pre-frying them. The fish pakora was awful i could have made better myself. The pakora batter on the fish pieces was too salty it could not be eaten, in addition it was a thick and chewy batter. The batter on fish pakora should be light, not too thick, and crispy. Chef please learn how to make fish pakora and please fry your chips from frozen stop pre- frying them

Quick delivery, Burger was great as usual.. Irn bru was chilled to perfection, 10 out of 10 , great grub at great prices .

Used to stay in Glasgow really fussy with food from all cuisine's. Don’t no why this place is getting bad reviews . There currys have been top notch. I eat all over Scotland every month and would recommend eating at this place if passing

We had a delivery on Fri & was so pleased with food & delivery time we had another one on Monday!! Food was so fresh & delicious, it was also piping hot - perfect! All round we were extremely pleased & satisfied. Would highly recommend The Amran to anyone, you won't be disappointed, go on try it - you know you want too 👌

ordered food at 8.35pm delivery time estimated between 9.30 and 9.50 and after calling the restaurant twice it finally arrived at 11pm. service definitely not good enough as I was working this morning and I had to stay up and wait

Ordered at 645 pm it’s now 9:55 and nothing arrived. I called twice and no one picked up.

Food has yet to arrive even after phoning and being told it’s on its way

Curry pizza was so spicy it was horrible large pizza and as dry no cheese couldn’t find the chicken or pineapple I’ve got a pic f you need to see it

The pizza box was soggy and had a hole in it. The actual pizza itself had no tomato puree, was dry and burnt.

ordered 3 times came cold all 3 times first two times got fresh food sent to me 3rd time they says food would get out again waited 30 mins on new food what never came so phoned up again and they says they weren't sending the food £24 wasted and got cheek on the phone. disgrace wouldn't recommend I would rather have got sent blocks of ice as it was that cold. last time I will ever order again.

Got a king mixed chicken and Donna kebab asked for extra Donna.as it was for sharing only tor 4 5 bits of cooked chicken and the Donna meat was just enough for 2ppl

Waited over an hour and food arrived cold ? We are like 2 mins from the shop so how is it delivered cold ? Obviously been sitting for ages - shame as normally good but lately same rubbish service - not using fresh pizza bases but shop bought and toppings ie curry is not a curry just normal ? Slipping away again on every level

Order came after waiting ages for it.. items missing but a quick call it was resolved professionally with the lady who answered the phone and was very apologetic..new meal was sent so I'm happy .and the burgers were brilliant my daughter says 👍 will deffo order again 😁

Half the order delivered more than an hour after the first half. Lied to when called to complain. Food quality really poor after such a long wait 👎

I'm fed up of ordering food paying extra for toppings and a restaurant doesn't deliver, it's so frustrating and just ruins the meal they came back and offered the toppings for delivery about 10 min after but tbh I didn't want it , very unlikely to order again , this has happened a few times with this place and now I'm just fed up with it . being honest the food didn't taste great either meat wasn't great and chips tasted burnt almost oddly weird taste . think it was just rushed out the door .

Second time and the food has been really cold… mine sat there ready while they took 20mins to make my boyfriends.

Incredibly slow delivery when I live less than a 5 minute drive. Food arrived hot but was inedible as it has either been reheated or been lying for too long. Nothing was fresh. Couldn’t even eat the chips. Won’t order again unfortunately.

I have used this takeaway for years but tonight was the worst meal I have ever had from any local takeaway. The cheese baked potato was a disgrace to look at. The spicy chicken potato was rock hard on the bottom of the potato.

Ordered a chicken Achari a few months ago and it was basically a bland sauce with few raw peppers threw in, tasteless. Ordered a large doner kebab for my dad last night, hardly any meat in it, a small sprinkle of lettice, no other salad on it and no sauce. Not worth the money. Been a customer of the Amran for years, but the last few years have went right down hill.

Wrong order, kebab sauce instead of chilli sauce. Small guy with glasses extremely ignorant, take your money, no please or thanks. Chef popped his head through from the kitchen sweating. Other guy Making Pizza with a dirty blue glove, will never be back....very disappointed

Christmas Eve 2022 - 50 minutes for a Lamb & Chicken kebab. I watched a least a dozen customers come and go, excluding phone orders, while I waited and waited and waited. Twice I asked the girl on the counter, twice she said just coming. Anyway I eventually got my order and although the CK was worth the money, the Lamb one wasn’t 👎. If it wasn’t such a wild night I would have taken it straight back….. Last time for me.

Watched raw (chicken and lamb from white tubs) and cooked meats being placed onto and off the charcoal grill using the same tongs. Didn’t hang about to actually order as this public disregard for food hygiene was enough for me.

Placed an order and collected! Was missing poppadoms, spicy onions Salad and 2 sauces!!! Poor

Ordered at 18.30 told delivery would be 30-40 mins 2 hrs later and still not here Phoned at 19.45 told they were waiting on a driver. Phoned at 20.15 and told it was out for delivery. Just eat taking priority. Never again.

Have used this take away for 25 years and will never do so again. Totally accept prices have risen recently but when price rises and portion is reduced by 50% there is no justification

Terrible service, only half the order delivered two mains & nans, waited another hour and still items missing. Will never go back to amran. Paid £45 Hopefully will get refunded for pakora and compensated for a pizza delivered an hour late - particular request from birthday boy. Birthday meal spoiled

Worst experience ever. Had ordered 16" pizza and a munchy box for takeaway but after half an hour the order was not even prepared.

This place has gone downhill, food prices up, (to be expected) quality down but most importantly a few inattentive/rude staff has caused me to not come back very often.

Took 2 hours to deliver. Told us an hour after ordering it was being ‘boxed up’. 2 hours later told that was wrong. Staffs attitude was absolutely disgusting.

Enjoyed the food in here before the revamp last year. Last couple of curries I have had the misfortune to order were unfortunately dry and rice was cold. Went in the bin. Won't be back. Now go to my usual down in Uddingston main street.

Excellent meal. Pakoras crisp and fresh. Chicken shazlick, tasty and succulent. Friendly service. You gave a little wait because they are so popular and so busy. Worth the wait for sure. It’s our new regular

Got a buriani and spiced onions with poppadoms. Had my mouth shaped for this. The buriani was greasy and poppadoms were stale. Won't be back 😌

Unfortunately had to put 1 star to rate this place. Should be minus stars available. Waited 1 hour and called back told it was on its way. Half hour later called backed told they had run out of donna meat but would be there in 5 minute with the best fresh Donna meat, which it wasn't. meat cold chicken cold and chips that looked as they had been reheated not just once. Won't be calling here again 🤬🤬🤬

Used to love this place. Best food about good service to. Food is ok when you get the food you ordered. Last two orders wrong. Stuff missed or wrong. Latest time is the last time. Won't be back. Even when waiting for my order another customer had to come back in to get the food missed from his order.

Poor service waited 2 hours for our delivery food was cold, the chips looked as if they had be cooked on Monday this was last night only decent part of the meal was the reheated chasni wont be going back I'm afraid

Bought a lamb tikka kebab and small chips was the first time i have tried.Was absolutely amazing will defo be getting again.

Avoid. I gave them a second chance.Big mistake. Ordered a large Shashlik kebab. When it eventually arrived, was told they had ran out of donnar, so gave me extra meat. A Shashlik kebab does not have any donnar, Extra meat??? About 6 bits of lamb spread out on cold nann

Quick service, never had to wait long in here. Good Kebabs, one warning, do not buy a large donner unless you are really hungry.

Great service, food always here very quick. All the staff and students always go here first. The new owners are lovely and always feel they go the extra mile during COVID to make sure everything is top notch!!

The guy with the beard & glasses would benefit from a few lessons in how to treat customers when they come into the shop. Completely ignoring them is not a good way to improve customer relations, a smile & a pleasant greeting always works. As to the meal itself, very, very average, masses of bright red curry sauce, some tough chicken pieces, only just warm, no chillies although they should be included. The chapati was not even warm & had to be re- heated in microwave. Altogether very disappointing - 1 star. Why did I ever leave the Pir Palace ?!

Waited 1hr 40mins for our food to arrive,if i had known what it was like before delivery guy had left he would have been taking it back,the chips were like reheats,they were slightly warm,soggy and the bottom was coming away from the container,the calzone wasn't hot,had to heat it up in the oven, i ate some of it,but it wasn't enjoyable,won't be using this place again,would advise against delivery,unless you stay close to the shop.I would have given no stars if it was possible.

TERRIBLE SERVICE SINCE THE PLACE CHANGED HANDS ! Tonight was the last time I’ll be ordering from them as they got my order wrong AGAIN 5th time in a month, I’ve been a customer since the opened 28 years ago but won’t be back or recommend

Since the management changed it’s pure pish, kebabs are so greasy. Honestly just go to the Chinese next door.
