A must visit if you love authentic Maharashtrian food. I had the Bombay duck fry and pomfret thali and throughly enjoyed the taste. My girl friend wasn’t well so they were kind enough to prepare the curd rice (South Indian style) which isn’t on their menu. Good food and nice people. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

Firstly i actuall went there to the order and take it home, the lady said it will be ready in 15inute it actually tookwas 45 minutes I ordered 3 Khatti rolls, instead I got 3 FLAT roti with hardly any filling. The gobi 65 was soggy and it seemed as though it was frozen shoved in the microwave!! I was so shocked to be be charged £27.65 for the unfortunate looking aneamic chatting roll. Their food is delicious, as is their chai - authentic mumbaian flavours. It's a new, family run independent cafe that has focused on 1 thing - the main thing - quality food! The setup captures the feel of a cafe in Mumbai as do some of the 'street-food' style dishes. I would recommend trying the masala egg burger!

very good and delicious food, just like home cooked meals without the added preservatives , soda, or artificial flavourings ,Although i ordered a lot of dishes from here like the thalis, prawn mutton, chicken, fish and other mumbai street foods like vada pav, pani puri, misal pav, etc, all were delicious. The mutton is fantastic as its goat or kid goat meat without the uncomfortable smell as most restaurants market lamb but this is the only place where the goat mutton is fresh . this time i ordered the prawn and bombayduck thali, goan pomfret curry and stuffed pomfret fry, everything was amazing especially the bombil fry and the pomfret fry. the fish doesn’t have a fishy smell, and everything is freshly made to order. so the wait time is justified . this is a great small family run business, and very humble , polite and professional people Thank you Sagar and team , you’ll are doing an amazing service to the people of london by bringing mumbai foods here to our doorstep. There food specially fish is fresh, I do understand if you want good fresh fish you will have to wait for sometime. I will suggest if you going here keep some time as you can expect the chef will cook almost from scratch post you order. Ask specifically for mild food as Chicken dishes are spicy. I love all fishes tried Prawns, Bombay Duck, and King fish thali. If you want authentic taste this is the place, but be mindful that they are still learning hospitality so expect some good wait time. Suggestion - Reduce the menu items and focus on 10-15 main items which are your best selling.

MORE AT Just Eat

When we entered it was only us and 1 more table which was occupied. Firstly, the food took ages to come until when I had already left the hopes of eating food (25 mins before we received our first order). Secondly when we were paying one of my friend asked for a NHS discount and the lady serving on the reception didn't understand what we were trying to say , so first she said yes and then went inside telling 1 minute and then the other lady who seemed more of a manager came on the till. When my friend again asked for NHS discount she rudely nodded and said NO. It is not about the tone but the professionalism and question about customer service???? How can you afford to have a rude tone and grumpy face in front of a customer!!!!! Thirdly , when my partner told the manager that her tone was rude instead of apologising she gave back saying 'when was I rude' and then tried to speak loudly too. Thumb rule of Customer service , you cannot have a rude tone in front of the customer irrespective of the situation. We were not trying to argue but try to say that 'why the difference in statement about NHS discount' from two different employees working at same workplace. This raises a lot of question about: 1) Is communication and knowledge of 'english' language important in Customer service when serving in the UK for the restaurant? 2) Does the restaurant care about Customer service or is it simply business? 3) Is transparency about business amongst the employees important for the restaurant (such as Student discount, promo offers, NHS discounts) because not every customer will tolerate hearing 'NO' after saying 'YES'. The above question decides the overall review of the restaurant , it is on the brand if they want to be called a business or a restaurant in the UK? The future of restaurant depends on it. Hope the management has a knack of sense and improve it.

Most of my friends i had taken there, loved the food. I personally liked Zunka bhakri, Pithla Jawar Bhakti, Mirchi bhaji, Kolhapuri, Saoji Chicken Thalis, Pomfret Fish Thali rava fried Surmai. I'd love to see a few more options in the menu in future like Kothimbir Wadi, Daal Khichadi, Patodya, Thalpeeth, Puran Poli. Do not even think... its bad and overpriced. Food: 1) Vada Pav - £2.50 very costly and they use burger bun. You can get authentic vada pav in wembley for £1. Just spoiling the name of Mumbai by serving it. 2) Rabdi (Sweet). Tastes like flour with some essence of pistachio. 3) Fish Thali - Such waste of money. Tiny piece of pomfret with most of the bones part. Also the curry had a tiny piece of pomfret smaller and thinner than my little finger. Only surmaine fish pieces were food. Rest everything for waste of money. £18.99 just not worth it. 4) Chicklollipop- oily has hell. Never had such Oilly lollipop. 5) Kolhapuri Mutton curry - Not a single piece of mutton in it. £18.99 of spicy water and oil. If you have too much of money to waste, then this is the place.

However that didn't impact the service. It's a must visit for any Marathi cuisine lovers. Especially the taste of Mumbai and central Maharashtra. The biggest selling point is that food is made to order, and tastes very fresh. Tip: if in doubt about what to eat or spice levels speak to the manager/owner before ordering. Service was very poor. Food was not value for money.

Menu is too niche for the average eater nobody knows what’s the difference between two dishes which read the same bar the title Malvani or Kholhapuri I don’t know from the menu or googling it. If they want to serve niche dishes which by the way nobody else is doing then they need to explain them in today’s society of bite size information. Even after research it’s so niche that it requires explanation but if you already know then enjoy but the menu really needs refinement.

Had Lunch. Went for pomfret fish thali. Took a while to get the item as dishes are freshly cooked. Wait was worth for. Chappathi, fish curry and fish fry were delicious and authentic. First time had a worthy fish fry and curry in UK.

Recently visited this place. Ordered Kala mutton thaali with extra stuff such as rice bhakri, chicken malawani thaali, aalani chicken soup (superb for kids) & surmai rava fry Mutton was so good & was coming off the bone. The best ever mutton so far in my list of mutton places. The spice was just perfect & so was chicken thaali & fish fry. It’s Authentic taste that comes from likes of Nagpur, Kolhapur, Konkan, Goa etc. It’s that good, Great service by Sagar & Ruchita. Keep up the good taste. Certainly I am going to be regular customer for such authentic taste. Surmai fry was very tasty & aalani chicken soup! Kids loved it. Highly recommend this place.

What a terrible food quality. Price is very high for the food quantity. I have an upset tummy after having this food. Definitely not hygienic and quality is worst. The people serving seems like they are frustrated and rude. First and last visit for us.

Very nice authentic maharashtrian restaurant. Tried the fish and chicken thali and both were delicious . Fish and roti was fresh and provided a feeling of a home cooked meal. Would suggest calling in advance to order the food if you want to dine in . They also provide catered menu and tiffin service. Service provided by Sagar and his staff was excellent too. Would definitely recommend and visit again!!

I ordered Kanda (Bombay Onion) Bhajiya plate which clearly states on the menu on Just Eat app that the price is for 400 grams portion. However, the restaurant by their own admission have only sent me 200 grams because they sent me a pink Post-It note in the bag blaming the incorrect portion weight on “error online on Just Eat”. I’m left feeling extremely disappointed as this is false advertising and I feel deceived into buying something but only receiving half of what I was expecting. Have reported this to Just Eat to investigate. I’ve checked their menu again and it clearly states 400 grams portion size for other types of Bhajiya (potato) as well.

Best place so far I have eaten in London. Only place who would serve Dhokla sitting in and they are not gujarati. Their Bombay chaat is as good as you get on streets of Bombay. Maharashtraian Special thali is best for any vegitarian person. Family run cafe and owners are very good, down to earth people. If you dine in, they make you feel as their guest rather than the customer. This is our go to place from now. Vada Pav and Pav bahji is must try. Price wise reasonable and affordable to any place in London. Must try and truly hidden gem as someone has mentioned before.

We just bought Vadapav and was disappointed. The Vadapav was not fresh; it seemed like it was made a day or two ago. The stale taste was quite noticeable. Not happy at all after giving high price for food compare to others.

A special place; intoxicatingly delicious flavours and presentation, superb friendly and unobtrusive service from the host owners and their staff, perfectly balanced atmosphere. First time here, won’t be the last. Off the high street and so worth discovering for yourself. Sublime pan fried dumplings starter and Hung Po chicken with fried rice main, and a tasty Pino too. Sincerely, thank you.

We left after waiting for an hour and just getting a mutton devil curry, with the chewy-est possible meat ever, and lots of onions to fill the plate. The poor waitress tried to apologise saying that the restaurant was busy, there was just a couple sitting in the restaurant before us. Paid £ 20.35 for a mutton devil and two lassis with service charge included, the cheek of it after wasting our time! I was looking forward to trying this restaurant as I am moving to the area, I surely won't be back

The Sunday roast is delicious but the meat is a little tough and the graivy lacks a little flavor
