Lovely food at Amavi. Bookings are recommended for larger groups. Food is very well made and ingredients used are fresh. Staff is extremely friendly and patient - specially the goan service guy. Cash are cards are accepted. Free parking is available for 3hrs after 8pm in the nearby roads

We have a fantastic meal at Amavi! The food was an outstanding and this really is a gem in Chelmsford! If you’ve not been here, go and you won’t be disappointed! Very good with allergies too. Thanks team!

I tried amavi last on monday night. The interior design of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, with a very original design of the ceiling and lighting. We ordered a few items from the menu to share: -bresoala platter - pesce alla griglia (5/5) - chicken escalope (5/5) - la Famoza Pizza (4/5) - Formagio di Capra e Miele Pizza (5/5) food take too much time to come but Our waiter Elie was more than helpful and friendly - make sure you sit in his section.

Travelling for work so dined alone. Very tasty and the waiter did his best not to make me feel weird about it.

Very good food, I had poor service from one of the members of staff but the owner handled it really well and took the time to call me and apologise for my experience.

Came here today on a recommendation and WOW... Best seafood risotto I've eaten. So I thought I would share the love and recommendation. Definitely try this place, you won't be disappointed.

I can't comment on the service in the restaurant although im sure its fantastic. I've only ever got lovely fresh tasting pizza delivered promptly straight to my door! My favorite treat when I can't be bothered to cook. The best pizza in Chelmsford, thank you.

By far the best pizza I’ve had in the UK, I’d say better than most I’ve had in Italy too. Only ever done take away but staff always friendly on collection.

Food was ok, pizza was quite greasy and the pasta meal was quite stodgy with not much chicken. Our server was kind but we were charged £2 for a takeaway box and we thought that was a bit unfair and we were not warned there would be a charge for this.

The variety of options on the menu, from the mouthwatering pasta to the flavorful pizzas and tantalizing starters, ensured there was something for everyone. What truly set this dining experience apart was the impeccable service provided by Rowan. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our evening was enjoyable. I had requested that he could play some music from the artists my wife likes to listen to and he make it happen. A happy wife is everything I could ask for, Thank you Rowan! Overall, I cannot recommend Amavi highly enough. The combination of delectable dishes and exceptional service makes it a standout choice for any occasion. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Our party of five had a very tasty meal at Amavi. We all had separate dishes and were not disappointed with any of them. Calin, the owner was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant was quiet on a a Wednesday evening but deserved to be busier.

Excellent restaurant, we mainly have takeaways from here at least once or twice a month and it is always 10/10.

Not suitable for vegans. I had checked a week before and I was assured there would be a pasta dish for me. On the night I was told this wasn't possible, so reluctantly accepted only thing for me - pizza. It was very nice.

Cel mai bun papanași din zona Essex!!!

O experienta foarte proasta am avut astazi la restaurant. Mancarea comandata a fost gatita probabil cu o zi inainte, un gratar care nu era facut fresh. In plus, calitatea mix grill ului comandat a fost oribila, cartofi congelati de cea mai proasta calitate, la fel si carnea de mici si carnatii. Am vizitat restaurantul pentru ca acum cateva luni am fost si mancarea a fost buna, de aceea am revenit ( de la o distanta de 35 de minute cu masina). Experienta de astazi foarte urata, in primul rand de la mancarea sub mediocru servita la un pret nu foarte mic (£60 pt doua persoane), si in al doilea rand ar unor ospatari care nu stiu sa si faca treaba danduti impresia ca vror sa scape cat mai repede de tine. Foarte mult marketing pe retelele de socializare pentru nimic.

Just had the pleasure to taste some of my favorites Romanian dishes and I wasn't disappointed. Really tasty and great serving. I'm really happy I found this place! Food is fresh and tasty, clean and nice arrangement in the restaurant.

Well Over priced drinks.. They charge for a takeaway box birthday cake charge. No atmosphere either. Staff rude. Wouldn’t recommend.

It was my first time @Amavi restaurant today , went there with my girlfriends and we absolutely loved it . The food is really delicious and the staff is really friendly and helpful.. The desert ( we had papanasi) were to die for :)) really yummy . We drove there for 40 min , but it was absolutely worth it !! Will definitely return soon Highly recommend x

Excellent service! Me and my university colleagues stayed here for lunch after graduation. We’ve been so surprised when the menu was so diverse and tasty. Especially romanian dishes are the best! Please do advertise more about restaurant, instagram posts because people need to see this!!!

Ciorba radauteana nu este nici pe departe cum trebuie,complect nesărată f puțină carne și ff multă smântână... au mers pe economie. mâncarea nu este conform de bună precum prețurile înalte.Desertul este bun. infine ,fițe și figuri fără multă cunoaștere in domeniu! profitori It's not the first time, but it will be the last! Avoid that kind of "boiled wine"! especially if you don't want to be fooled to your face. shamelessly asked for £9.50 the glass !f absurd, it was watery, almost 0 cinnamon and I don't know why they think it has to have lemon in it. The Radauteana soup is nowhere near as good as it should be, unsalted complex f a little meat and a lot of cream... they went for the economy. the food is not as good as the high prices. Big expectations following all the positive reviews. I would personally rate the place as average. Unfortunately the place was empty when we went for a Saturday evening so it probably makes the place not feeling as “warm” as it usually is. Service was poor, but probably just due to the new member of staff learning on the job. But the lady teaching him was definitely on it, so usual service is probably good. And everyone has to learn at some point! Food wise, pizzas were good, made of fresh ingredients and large portion. Cocktails were not great and house wine average but that is expected. All and all I think this is value for money. And I won’t expect great cocktail for a European food restaurant. So I think it is a place to go for a meal at reasonable price, but I won’t rate the food as amazing or exceptional. Just average made of fresh ingredients.

Mancare excelenta, curat, desertul l-am luat la pachet fără nicio problema întrucât portiile au fost atât de mari încât nu am mai putut servi in restaurant și desertul. Personalul extrem de serviabil. Revenim cu drag sa vedem și asculta și muzica live.

Lovely food which was reasonably priced and lovely venue but the wine was ridiculous prices!!! £34 a bottle (unless you got ‘Romanian’ wine, 500ml at £15). Don’t really know how they can justify these prices which is a shame as I would definitely go back for the food x

£18.95 mixed grill. After I posted this the owner Calvin had a tantrum he has since deleted and edited numerous time. He claimed he looked forward to me removing my review after he posted CCTV footage? and I was "the only person who complained" and a snidey comment saying "If you wanted a free meal you could've just asked" It's fair to assume any negative review is met with the same pressure but I won't be deleting mine. I don't need a free meal mate. I needed the food I ordered to not be half cooked and swimming in oil. I'd had a long day and you ruined my dinner, calling you wasn't going to fix that.

The food is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared, you can choose among many menu options. We loved the service! I highly recommend this place!
