Alternative take away in Allerdale

The chilli sauce was absolutely delicious. Everything else was more than a little disappointing. It's not the worst takeaway in Scunthorpe, but then again, it's not in Scunthorpe.

Unclear what is alternative about this place. The food takes an age to be made. Pizza was good but very hot. The kebab was similar. Price was ok. Fair place but expect slow service.

Ordered a donor kebab meat, no salad, chillinand Garlic sauce, or bread I got, donor kebab, with bread, salad, chilli sauce no garlic. How hard is it to get that order wrong. For me chilli.sauce without Garlic is not nice. Waste of money for me

Pizzas here are amazing and the homemade burgers are to die for. Food is always hot and would definitely recommend for a takeaway or delivery.

A good takeaway, serving a wide range of foods. The chicken kebabs were tasty. The service was efficient although an order was missed, so be vigilant

Ordered 3 pieces of chicken and fries and salad, two of the pieces of chicken were inedible, they were grey inside and full of horrible fatty tough tissue. The salad box for £3.50 was tiny and only contained lettuce and raw un pickled red cabbage. Complained about the chicken and was sent three more chicken legs, once again with thick burned batter and grey tough meat inside. Will never go here again was a total waste of money and couldnt eat any if it.

Originally I had low expectations but only because of the takeaways we have at home! Ordered the steak burger and it was phenomenol! Bolognese pizza was outstanding. Above anything else, the service was above and beyond. Really appreciate the helpful staff. Definitely will return when in the area again.

Unfortunately only takeaway we had wrap and chips last night it was best to be honest quality cooked chips taste grilled meat homemade garlic sauce loved it

Well impressed. Wasn’t sure what to expect from reading some mixed reviews on Google but was very happy with our food this evening. We had a pizza, kebab and kids nuggets and chips. All was really tasty and would definitely come here again. Really nice atmosphere whilst waiting for our food; staff chatted to us. Overall…. Great!

Absolutely dreadful service. Rude obnoxious man on the phone telling my wife her details were wrong in JustEat (checked and all were correct), saying the order was delivered to reception but we were waiting there for half an hour so our food had gone walkies? Terrible terrible terrible avoid like the plague if I could swear about this place on a Google review I would never stop!!!!! Not that they care anyway!!

If I could give minus 1 million stars I would. I ordered a take away. Waited over an hour for delivery. Rang the place and my god! The rudeness! I have never in all my life been spoken too with such a tone, what a nasty nasty person I ended up talking too. Apparently my take away was delivered to the reception where I was staying. I checked and they said it had not been. I rang the place back and was shouted at down the phone and said that they were busy and could not help me. They then hung up and did not answer my calls. I was nothing but polite but was treated like scum. £40 wasted and no food. Please think before ordering.

I don't particularly like to leave negative reviews unless I believe they're 110% deserved but we've just had a chicken parmo,ham & mushroom pizza and chips from alternative. There was very little chicken in the parmo,same with the cheese and sauce on top. The pizza was really poor,not even warm and very little topping. The less said about the overcooked buy cold chips the better

Awesome takeaway, sound lads who work in there giving good customer service every time I walk in. It is always good scran and beats out any other takeaway in town (including dominoes!) This takeaway will forever be a local legend

It's a standard takeaway kebab place, nothing more, nothing less. Advice - Get chicken or donner rather than beef though.

Have always had their food and they never dissappoint me, my favourite has to be the BBQ Chicken Pizza. Its really tasty and the base is lovely and evenly cooked throughout. Their staff are really friendly and delivery service is fast. They even cater for people with Gluton free requirements and other options available too. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a local, fresh produce menu.

Try the chicken and Donna kebab with chilli sauce and garlic Mayo and salad with pita bread get it all separately you will not be disappointed. I get fries and trust me you are full this is the best meal ever!!! These guys give 100 % to their customers well done

Food arrived freezing not impressed

Ordered 2 pizzas. They said 30 minutes and they would be at our door. 25 minutes later they were. They were delicious too.

Ordered here whilst holidaying nearby.We got the house special kebab,chicken parmisan and kids nugget meal for the princely sum of £25 ish. The chicken Parmisan was chewy over cooked and very greasy with dirty oil. The "bechemel" sauce and cheese were minimal but ok. The kids nugget meal was tiny for the price , same dirty oil ruined the fries and it came with a carton of fruit juice from Aldi! The house kebab came with donner which was heavily seasoned with cumin which gave it and unpleasent and confusing curry like flavour. The chicken shish was ok if a bit dry. The local steak it came with was small. salty and low quality (probably having been sourced locally at Aldi?) Overall and expensive and disappointing waste of time and money. As the establishment name suggests i would recommend you find an alternative takeaway!

Chicken Kebab and Chicken Wrap both lovely, took no time to prepare and deliver to Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat. Lifesaver given the restaurant here seems booked up for weeks!

Lovely tasty pizza (as per others description) shame about the delivery issues, however you have chosen the delivery supplier so issues experienced with them need to be called out. Its not good customer service to leave someone waiting over an hour for their order on a Tuesday night, then blame the delivery company for not sharing contact details with you, you must have a way to communicate with the business supplying your delivery service to let them know your issues, so they can inform the customer, if not, stop using them. I would never have known there was an issue unless (like I did) call your business to check why my order had taken over 75 minutes to make and deliver when it's only 4 miles away. Had I not have had a drink I could have collected it myself, but then that's why we chose delivery in the 1st place, as for the 'free bottle of fanta' sorry but that's not an apology.

Food arrived quicker than specified and was piping hot. Good quality and large portions. Friendly driver.

The service was really poor, the delivery driver apparently broke down 10 minutes before it was due. Upon arrival they still charged us for delivery even though we went out of our way to collect it. When we actually got to eating the food it was not of a good standard, a portion of the order was missing. The prices of the food is definitely not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend them too anyone.

Wouldn't even give it 1 star if I had the choice. Astronomically expensive for cheap food that they didn't even get right. Strongly advise to order at alternative takeaway but certainly not this one.

Not normally intu pizza but had been for a drink at the nearby Black Bull so decided to give it a try was served by a very friendly a d helpful guy who made both of the pizza freshly in front of me we went for one thier deals which at £17 including a large carton of Frankie & Benny's Ice Clream all of which were super.qualiity and a bargain would use the delivery service neat time as had a fairly long walk back to where we were staying

Bought quit a few things Burger was okayish Pizza barely had aby beef on it. Didnt see aby chicken... Chips brownish old oil Mixed kebab thing was literally worse thinh i ever seen and i ve eaten in some dodgy places around the world...coyldbt eveb grill chickeb property i threw it all away disgusting literally dog food. After spending 36£ greedy owner tried to charge me 1£ or 1.5£ for a bit of chilli lol man have some respect for yourself please

Decent kebab shop. Got the house special, which is all chicken, steak and donner. All were decent. Certainly seemed like a better than average donner, as it had some flavour. Also tried the chicken pops, which were surprisingly good. All in all - good enough for me. Nice staff too.

Had 2 Chicken kebabs with chips salad and coleslaw last night. Chicken was moist and flavoursome. Chips crisp and piping hot. All round excellent meal. Delivery was speedy. Try it for yourself 😉

Was looking forward to a greasy kebab after a night of drinking heavily but they shut at 1:30am instead of the advertised time of 2am. Closing time online needs to be changed to prevent others from suffering the same fate. A woman needs her 2am kebab!

Having taken bite out of a chicken kebab found i was chewing on a large piece of cellotape and bits of paper. Rang up and staff showed little concern. Will not be returning.
