Allegria Italian Eatery in North Ayrshire

Quick visit on a busy Thursday night. Staff are good and decor is nice. Good menu and kids menu. Wide selection of drinks. Margherita pizza was simple and tasty. Pasta alla Puttenesca was very good but a measly portion, could have done with same amount of spaghetti again. Very expensive garlic bread with cheese: five thin slices of ciabatta priced and £5.50?! Very poor. Also both pizza and pasta were hot but served on very cold plates. Could be better with a few small touches. Pints of Peroni well pulled and good value.

Our kids love the pizza and we personally love the lasagne. Authentic food and lovely staff. If you have kids you need to try this restaurant and will become your favourite restaurant.

The food here is excellent, every dish was perfectly cooked and packed full of flavour. The service was fast & friendly. Will definitely be back soon.

Another bad meal lasagna just full of cheese hardly any meat tasteless ragumeal only good thing a nice glass of wine sent lasagna back got pizza full of cheese doughy not nice

The food here is a bit better than OK. Its not going give you a wow feeling more of a slightly frustrated one! Te seafood dishes had the smallest class you could find. They actually should have been left to grow. I suspect the empty shells were not actually empty but were so small you could not find them. Don't ask for added pepper either as it is v v well seasoned and for some they will find it to much. No bowls were provided for the shells either. You really want to love this place but I was left feeling a bit flat for a bill for 2 that was £75.00. 1starter 2 mains 2 wines and a pint of coke. Its an expensive meal for what we got. Service was good though and as stated the food was better than average inventory though lacking in some areas. If the portions had been bigger, a bit more seafood this would be a 4 but I left feeling a bit disappointed for what we paid. Overall a pleasant experience but not great for the money

Excellent food as always. Katie served us and was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the wine and menu. We shared an anti pasto platter and a salad with fillet steak. We had a sea view and ambient music.

Really wanted to take my brother here whilst we were up visiting as he’d not been for years and we weren’t disappointed. Warm welcome, lovely decor and comfy seats, busy too for a cold windy Tuesday night in February!! We all had starters, mains and puddings and can’t fault any of it, really good food served by a lovely friendly lady. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re visiting Largs and wouldn’t hesitate to go again🥰!

What a wonderful restaurant! The food is exceptional, it's our favourite "go to" restaurant nowadays 😋 the staff are all so lovely and helpful and it has a lovely ambience. Highly recommend visiting, it's amazing!

The coffee was good. The service friendly and accommodating. Their sister waterfront cafe referred me to the restaurant as their coffee machine was already switched off for the night. The Allegria restaurant was very helpful, considering that late evening pop-ins for takeaway coffee was clearly not part of their standard fare. I needed coffee before I started a long distance drive, and I will be back next time I am in Largs. Thank you.

The first night we had dinner was one of the best meals we'd had while in Scotland! The second time we went, a week later, it was disappointing, just okay. I'm guessing the second time we went, the B shift was on. If you want to keep a great reputation, I suggest working on consistency.

Was empty and was placed beside only one other person In restaurant asked for different table. Was with friend who only meet up with once per year so wanted to chat was told no we couldn’t move. Complained to waitress who said she wanted to clean other tables all other tables were set and clean. She then sent another waitress to tell us she was ill and couldn’t walk to other tables. Very bizarre and very rude.

Booked a couple days beforehand online with no issues. Got an email to confirm the booking the day before Arrived a few minutes early & quickly attended to asking to if we've already booked. Confirmed so & then we found out our waitress heard our names & ran round excitedly to confirm it was indeed us. Sandie spent the next hour & a half ensuring our every need was catered to. If you like Italian food & you want a wonderfully welcoming friendly hostess then dine here .

Had a really lovely meal here on Sunday 3rd September..popped in on spec and delighted to find a table for 2 available. Nice , attentive staff and varied menu.. . I had the lobster ravioli which was amazing and my husband had pizza...cant wait to return...just love this place..

Thought we would try this place as a friend in Largs had said it was good,we gave it a try and here is my thoughts i thoughts,i had ordered a medium rare steak and chips with a pepercorn sauce and thats what i got,the steak was more to rare than what i would have liked i am no one for sending things back i just got on with it also i though when you order pepercorn sauce it is made with cream and not water and thats what i got, a thumbs down for that,a bit overpriced and i have had better steak and chips elsewhere in Largs for half that price.

Very busy restaurant. We had pasta dishes, and pizza. The food was excellent and the helpings huge. Staff very friendly. Minus point. It does not appear wheelchair friendly and the disabled toilet is stuck in a corner.
