Vue Cinema Bolton offers a solid movie-going experience with comfortable seating, good screen quality, and clear sound. The theater is well-maintained, with a modern atmosphere and a selection of screens showing the latest blockbusters and family-friendly films. The reclining seats make it easy to relax and enjoy the show, adding to the overall comfort. Ticket prices are reasonable, especially if you take advantage of discount days or special offers. The snacks are standard cinema fare—popcorn, drinks, and nachos—but they can be a bit pricey. The staff are generally friendly and efficient, keeping queues manageable even during peak times. While the experience is generally smooth, the cleanliness in the screens and bathrooms can sometimes be inconsistent during busy periods. Overall, Vue Bolton is a dependable choice for catching the latest films with friends or family, offering good value and enjoyable entertainment.

The customer service at the Bolton Vue Cinema is absolutely disgusting and vile, never had a worse experience with customer service / staff in my life. After the film I told 2 of the staff that screen 5 room was very cold inside, and I lod you not they replied with "Well why didn't you tell us before the movie started or during the movie" and then continue to argue the point as if I was at fault, one of them started to laugh and walked off. I would highly recommend that you don't waist your time with Vue Cinemas.

Firstly, booking tickets online was extremely frustrating as the website repeatedly crashed and displayed error messages. When I finally managed to book, I noticed the tickets had the wrong date. Upon arriving at the cinema, I was informed by a staff member that it was a system error causing double bookings and that I was the fourth person in two days to experience this issue. Unfortunately, I was told that all showings for that day were fully booked, and nothing could be done. After a lengthy wait while the staff member assisted other guests, I was advised to seek help from another staff member, who also seemed unsure about how to resolve the issue. Eventually, I managed to get tickets for the following day after visiting the food counter, where two staff members finally helped. When I returned to the cinema today with my two daughters (aged 4 and 8), the experience was equally disappointing. Our seats were dirty with leftover food, and the toilets had no soap available. We even queued for the disabled toilet, only to find that it also had no soap. There were no staff members around to address these concerns, and when I mentioned it at the ticket counter, I was told someone would check, but no apology or follow-up was offered. I am extremely disheartened by this entire experience, especially given the money spent on tickets and snacks. My daughters were left disappointed, and the overall cleanliness and customer service fell well below acceptable standards. I would appreciate it if you could let me know how you intend to address these issues. Kind regards, Kimberley

Worst experience I’ve ever had at any cinema. Me and my partner decided to go to the cinema as a date and this was ruined form the moment we walked in. On arrival there was a foul smells of urnie threw out the whole complex , no staff to greet us on arrival. The seats were covers in popcorn ,dirt and grime visible in the dark from the previous showing. I then had no choice but to go and ask a member of staff to clean the seats which I received a reluctant response. This should have already been done as part of standard hygiene & cleaning before allowing anyone into the room after the previous showing. Following on from this there were at least 4/5 people on there phones threw out the movie 5 pluses times each causing major distraction and glare on my glasses. After politely asking some other costumes to please not use there phone or shine it at me I received a very rude response, which forced me to have the leave the viewing room to asked a member of staff to please remind people not to use there phone for previous reason's & spoiling other peoples experience, I was then told me there was nothing they could do unless they see them there self this would be impossible as there is as not one member of staff monitoring the room to reenforce the rules. There was many costumers that looked suspiciously under age for a 18 film and my ID it’s self was not checked. Staff members need extra training on making sure that rules are being in-forced. It seams bright screens, talking, poor maintenance, poor cleaning, lights hanging off the ceiling and being made to feel under valued as a costumer is the norm form this cinema . I feel very let down and disappointed as I try to see the best In everything and try not to let small things get to me, however on this occasion it was impossible to enjoy and complete ruined my evening.

Via your online account, Vue Cinema allows you to set reminders for upcoming movies, so that when the tickets are released, you are notified via email of the same. Having set such reminders on my account, in the past, I received notifications by email in timely manner. However recently, no such luck! The "Your Reminder" portal is about useful as a chocolate teapot! Amongst others, I had set-up reminders for the movies "Smile 2", "Venom" and "Gladiator II". At the time of writing, tickets for all 3No movies are available, but received no notification for this - WHY NOT!!! You can't even raise this query via the chat bot or "Contact Us" since both methods directly focus on specific topics, none of which deals with the issue above - absolutely useless! Can't even call them since it's past their bedtime! Vue, sort yourselves out and stop acting like amateurs otherwise my allegiance will move towards Odeon Cinemas.

Good cinema however when watching afaid a guy opened the fire exit door to have a cigarette and no alarm was set off it spoiled my experience a bit and concerning that no staff member knew this happened until.i told one of them when the film finished surely if vue have cameras to spot people using mobile phones you would of thought customers safety would be on their duty of care list plus £7 for a small pop corn was a bit harsh.

Vue in Middlebrook offers an outstanding cinema experience. The theaters are equipped with state-of-the-art screens and sound systems, ensuring a truly immersive viewing experience. The seats are incredibly comfortable, and the spacious layout allows for a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Used this cinema for years ..some good experiences some average but that's life. Taken my son alot of times never had to show ID for him , so I didn't have any with me, ( will know for next time ) although it depends which staff member checks your ticket has younger children were admitted. Likewise people take KFC, and McDonald's..some staff allow you and some don't...so it's pot luck who let's you in ..how are you supposed to know the rules if the rules fit the day ...ie ...if it's busy they're strict if it's a quiet day they let anyone in..just more money .

I have been attending this cinema all of my life but yesterday’s experience has SERIOUSLY made me question whether I will EVER visit again!!! My partner and I visited in the afternoon and arrived early. We joined the shortest line for food before going into the movie, having just two or three small families in front of us. Never in all of my life have I seen such zombie like service!! Staff members were moping around like zombies and service was unbelievably slow! Staff members were even having a chat rather than serving the multiple lines of customers before them! As a result of this disgraceful service we stood in line for 30 minutes and missed the first 10 minutes of our movie, despite us arriving at the venue in plenty of time!!! From here it only got worse with our cheesy nachos being stone cold with barely any cheese on them at all! You would have thought that there was a shortage!!! Whilst in the movie there was an ignorant man on his phone at the side of us the whole time and there were uncontrolled children running up and down the stairs making noise!!! Then upon leaving the venue, with great pleasure, another zombie like staff member gave my partner and I am obvious death stare because we dared to put our rubbish in a bin which he was about to change, next time I’ll leave it on my seat for you to clean up SHALL I !!?? Congratulation’s Vue Cinema. You have just lost yourself a loyal customer!!! You should be ashamed of your performance yesterday.

Absolutely appalling service at VUE - Middlebrook this afternoon. We pre-booked two tickets for myself & partner for a 2PM showing. We attended the premises prior to this with the intention of buying some refreshments. The cinema seemed very busy which would be understandable for a weekend. Upon entering there seemed the be a "Corpse like body" lying in the middle of the floor having some form of "attack", which was puzzling at the very least. There were approximately 5 separate tills open, we joined the shortest one, 3 families of x2/3 ahead. It took a total of 30 minutes to be served, mainly down the snail like speed all staff members were displaying, along with their horrendous attitude. We finally were served 30 minutes later, to be given stone cold nacho's which cost the earth and 2 drinks cups which did not work on the machine, resulting in me having to have a lecture by a manager on how to operate a drink dispenser. The extremely slow service meant we missed the first part of the film, including all the adverts. Upon entering the screen this was visibly very busy, and we made our way to the rear of the screen. We spent the entirety of the film sat next to a strange male who deemed it acceptable to sit and play games/text/listen to videos for the entire duration of the screening, to top this off there was a family seated at the front of the cinema who found it acceptable to take pictures during the film with a flashing camera, and to then let her two little "brats" run along the front of the screen and up and down the stairs whilst wearing flashing shoes, I nearly had an epileptic fit all whilst singing and shouting. Upon exiting the film, the staff member who was changing the bins decided to huff and display a very frustrated image on his face, for us daring to use a bin for its designed purpose. I personally find £60 to be extremely steep for two tickets, two drinks, and two stone cold nacho's. We most certainly will not be coming back ANYTIME soon.

Comfy seats. Great view on the screen due to pronounced slope. But a couple sata beside me on my left were extremely badly behaved and were talking, even when the movie started and the guy kept looking at his mobile throughout the movie creating blinding light with his mobile screen, despite clear instructions not to do that. No staff to police around. Very poor on that side. I had to tell them to keep it quiet. They complied but looked offended that I dared talking to them. Some people have no manners. Thus 3 out of 5.

When we went for milkshakes and Latte, the girl there was looking miserable, given miserable service. Worst Latte of my life, was so flat, without any milky froth. When i told her why it was so flat not frothy, she rudely replied that the latte never is frothy. Only cappuccino is frothy. This cinema only tends to show "popular" films. You have to go to Home if you fancy something more arty. Prices are expensive. Vue also has the loud voice of a young man telling you how to behave before the start of the film. It's patronising and offensive. The cinema is clean and comfortable. It also shows NT live shows which is a great opportunity to see something often from London considerably more cheaply.

The best cinema in Bolton and one of the best in the North West. I have enjoyed coming to Vue Middlebrook for years, it's my go-to cinema as not many cinemas are as good. The best thing is the reclining seats which are standard across the cinema and make watching a film really comfortable. The ticket prices are reasonable and there's 6 hours free parking. It's now my closest and favourite cinema. I always like taking in a new movie at this Vue franchise. The cinema is conveniently located in the middlebrook retail and leisure park, which is adjacent to Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium. . Each screen has reclining seats and lots of space to stretch out, which is a massive plus compared to older cinemas in the area. . The venue is next to a Starbucks and TGI Fridays so you can easily combine your trip with either if you want to make an evening of it with the family or friends. . Middlebrook has lots of free parking and you can always get a space regardless of how busy the shops are.

The cinema looks like it's had a magic wand over it. This was our first time and only really came here because the film show times suited us. Apart from the cinema there's a whole load of stores, eateries, bowling, shopping all in one place. It's pretty impressive. We were in cinema 7, and every seat was a leather motored recliner and very comfortable for the entire film. As usual we purchase some of the overpriced food and drink and as is the case with cinemas, they don't often see much of the revenue from film studios so even if you have a grudge against buying cinema food, unless you want to see them dissappear please buy something. Overall, staff were great, food was good and the cinema itself was very enjoyable. Pity the film didn't meet expectations bit we still enjoyed it. We'll be back!

Poor service by Sarah the manager. Absolutley stingy with sauce and the egg given. On the advertisement it says eggs. Plural meaning more than 1! So the fact she thinks it’s acceptable to half 1 egg and try passing it off as eggs is a joke. Also tried to rob me off my NHS discount. Had much much better service by the staff there. Think the manager needs to be trained by them on how to serve customers.
