lovely tasty food but small portions and chips were cold.

Very good food reasonable price had several order's from them but never had a free item. It always turns up hot . But will use them again

chips soggy and undercooked , garlic bread also undercooked and swimming in grease , quality has really gone down Hill recently , used to be so much better

food was alot earlier , so lucky we was in as had no updates , kebabs were stone cold and for 4.50 a portion I think there should have at least been enough spicy chips to cover the bottom of the tray , prices going up....standards and portions .... going down

Food was lovely, earlier than expected which was good as was hungry. Missing pizza from order but caught the delivery driver before he drove off and was back within ten minutes with piping hot pizza. Thank you

Order was wrong, hot chilli instead of sweet chilli so was unable to eat - also a garlic sauce missed of!!..

Chicken doner kebab was revolting. The texture of the chicken was as if someone chewed it and spat it back out before being served.

Food was tasty, but the meal was cold and with the delivery fee worked out to over £17 which I don’t consider value for money.

ordered pizza, had the deal buy 14" get 10" free. we chose chicken and garlic for the large pizza, porky for the smaller one. the toppings were quite sparse, I'm talking 15 very small pieces of chicken on the entire pizza and no better for the porky. there was a LOT of cheese on both pizzas, but it doesn't make up for the lack of chosen topping. the pizzas also came with a pot of minted yoghurt sauce which is a bit weird with pizza but it was included so 🤷‍♀️

kebabs yes... but pizza is not their thing! sorry, if you're ordering pizza then you can do a lot better than here.

Order came in good time, but ordered Doner meat and chips but no chips, had the portion with the mixed kebab, but ordered and paid for 2 portions?

The portion was tiny, very disappointing as I paid a lot of money and ordered what looked like a large amount of meat. The picture was a completely different looking dish to what arrived. I won’t be ordering from here again

Tried the other week and had a cheesey meat box and it was Amazing! Chips stayed nice and crisp and the donner meat was nice tasting thick cuts unlike most takeaways! Definitely the best I've had in a long time!

it was OK, chips were very undercooked and soggy. chicken kebab was fine, the donner kebab garlic sauce was low quality.

Had a takeaway kebab & pizza from here whilst on holiday. Food was amazing, quick service & polite staff.

This has been one of the top takeaways in Bideford for YEARS. Previously I would have had no hesitation recommending the food and selection and have been a regular customer for over 20 years. However I am now very disappointed to learn that they have stopped selling their best item - Lamb Shish Kebabs, and so I will not be using in future. I understand that they are concerned about costs, but they could charge more for Lamb Shish and I think some people would pay it. It is like a pub not selling beer and a great disappointment.

A few things missing today, no salad on the chicken & Doner mix, and no chilli sauce

Shockingly poor, used to be okay-ish, basic doner kebab and chips putrid, chips refried dry crusty, kebab meat freezing cold and tasteless but they got the cold can of Coke right, save your money, I’m not wasting mine anymore, not here… Bideford needs a decent kebab house, Master Grill in Taunton basic but decent that’s what Bideford needs, Food here should come with a supermarket yellow reduce sticker price on it .

Was a bit unbelievable really try to phone an order unfortunately with only accept just eat said it would be an hour and 20 minutes got it in 25 minutes the moral of the story is they seem to earn more on just eat for the 399 delivery

Lovely tasting spicy chips , beautifully sliced kebab , exactly how I like it and didn’t even take too long to arrive , used to use a different kebab shop in town but now I’ve converted - thank you

I was very disappointed with my meal tonight. I paid £14 for a kofte kebab, chips and a drink. The kebab Comes with salad sauce and pitta. The food was ready in about 10 mins which is was a plus. Hence the 3 stars for service and atmosphere. Unfortunately the kofte was so overcooked I could smell the char as soon I opened the packaging before I even saw that it was burnt black in several places. I gave it a go but it was extremely chewy and you could taste the char where it was burned. The salad was mostly shredded wet lettuce and some sorry looking pale tomatoes the pitta bread looked like it came straight out of tesco value pack. They hadn't even cut the pitta and assembled it as you'd get in most other shops. They just slightly grilled the bread and stuck it on top. If I owned the shop I wouldn't have let that leave the kitchen. I would've thrown it away and started again. Where is the pride in your food? To charge me £14 for this kind of quality is a crime. I will not be back.

It's the best chicken kebab place I've had in Bideford and prices are between £5 and £15. It was beautiful. I went with my friends and it was marvelous

My food was absolutely disgusting!! The chicken was so dry I nearly choked!! The chips were so soggy they went in the bin! And we didn’t even get the drinks we asked for or any of the pots of sauce I paid for!!! This place use to be lovely

the chicken was over done I couldn't bite threw it and asked for salad on wrap and was only lettuce and didn't get my choice of sauce.

chips cold and tasteless reheated ask for no onion tomato or pepper and got given helpful of just tomatoes paid £2 extra for chesse got barely a sprinkle this isn't the first time things have gone wrong or bad won't b ordering again

It said on the app it was witj the driver on its way at 6pm . Finally arrived at 6.25 lukewarm . So not a great experience

Food is ok, it’s better than what’s on offer from other local takeaways… unfortunately there were items missing from our order.

Can’t recommend this place enough. The kebabs and pizzas are always hot, fresh and delicious. The only thing I can’t recommend are the chips, as they often come soggy due to sweating in the container. No idea how to fix that, but that’s a small grumble when everything else is so good

Last weeks takeaway - the kebab was awful, chicken over cooked and doner meat undercooked, to give the benefit of the doubt another one this week, doner wrap disintegrated and so much salt on the chips that they are inedible. Also changed containers so portions are smaller and they leak in the bag and just generally make a mess so unfortunately after about 15 years or more of using Ali’s it’s time to look elsewhere!

Plastic in the chicken wrap, I’m digusted but I’ll be back next week to see if you’ve improved

Portion size was much smaller than normal, missed the chilli sauce I ordered and was cold on arrival. Certainly was not to the normal quality.

Ordered 2 pizzas and added extras, none of the extras was on the pizza! Not great

Asked for “deliver as soon as possible” was her in 30 mins. Amazing. Nice kebab meat. Good sizes of chips with meals. Tasty burgers.

Not been here before and after a long journey it was just what we needed! Got the sharing chicken box (£15.99 for two people to share) and it was amazing. It was freshly cooked and looked too much for us to eat but we demolished it all. Highly recommend the chicken box for two, will definitely visit again if we are in Bideford!

I ordered online but called to say we all have COVID so please knock loudly as we are upstairs in bed. They took my number incase they needed to call at arrival. They were so lovely and the amount of food we got was enough to feed us for two days. We are so I'll and unable to cook and they obviously listened and helped my giving us HUGE portions.

The staff was so rude, we watched a lady wait for 20 minutes to be served and as soon as they went to serve her they told her the place was closed and was so rude about it. Just turned all the lights off on her and everyone else still inside eating. No one else was waiting to be served for the entire time.

As a regular Ali’s customer, we were so disappointed with tonight’s order. The salad for both kebabs was soaking wet and had a fowl taste to it. The doner meat was quite clearly reheated and was inedible. And despite the chicken being cooked well, the salad as described above meant it couldn’t be eaten. 2 meals thrown in the bin unfortunately, which is so sad as we’ve been using Ali’s for many years and have never had a bad experience with them before.

I went to this kebab shop with my girlfriend who lives locally and the food was delicious! It was quickly made and served hot and we ate at one of the tables and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I cannot wait to return soon!

Unfortunately the ordered had errors. I ordered garlic bread but I got garlic bread with cheese- I am allergic to cheese. My son got lucky - I remained hungry

Local and ordered from here many times. Portions are a little pricey but very big. Meats are excellent, delivery is fast and you can order easily on their website. Would like to see chicken doner as an option, would be the only way to improve. This is a best place for kebab on Bideford.

Another very disappointing meal. Ordered 6 items only 4 delivered and one that was delivered only had half a portion in the box. Rang to complain missing food was delivered and it was cold. Everything was smothered in salt making some food very unpleasant to eat. Won’t be returning here again.

Not up to your normal standard. Chicken kebab was very burnt and black as were the mushrooms. I could have been eating anything as you couldn’t taste anything other than the burnt surfaces on the food. The chicken strips contained bones. This is not explained on your menu and could have been very dangerous to a child. Very disappointed as I have never had food of such poor quality from you before.
