Ali's Kebab House in Torridge

It's the best chicken kebab place I've had in Bideford and prices are between £5 and £15. It was beautiful. I went with my friends and it was marvelous

Can’t recommend this place enough. The kebabs and pizzas are always hot, fresh and delicious. The only thing I can’t recommend are the chips, as they often come soggy due to sweating in the container. No idea how to fix that, but that’s a small grumble when everything else is so good

Not been here before and after a long journey it was just what we needed! Got the sharing chicken box (£15.99 for two people to share) and it was amazing. It was freshly cooked and looked too much for us to eat but we demolished it all. Highly recommend the chicken box for two, will definitely visit again if we are in Bideford!

I went to this kebab shop with my girlfriend who lives locally and the food was delicious! It was quickly made and served hot and we ate at one of the tables and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I cannot wait to return soon!

Placed a delivery and it never came it really p****d me off never will I go bk left my kids starve 😤

last minute decision to get a kebab as we forgot to book a restaurant on a friday night in July, ordered on the phone and went to collect. We had chicken & Shish kebabs (which means added diced lamb), it was marinated and really, really tasty. The kids had burgers which they were very happy with. Good food, good price

If I were to live in Bideford, this is probably the takeout place I would frequent most often. It is incredible value for your money, with quick service and generous amounts of meat. The kebabs are always juicy and tender, with a delicious grilled flavor. The staff is fast and friendly, and I really appreciate how they don't nickel and dime you on little things like sauces and minor dietary modification requests.

Once Lockdown had eased up we fancied a takeaway pizza & decided to try Ali's as we've never used him before. We very rarely get pizza out, but these were so nice, freshly cooked, good crisp edged bases (which we prefer to thick doughy ones) with plenty of tasty toppings. Ali is a lovely Turkish man, the shop was clean & he was following safety guidelines and procedures for social distancing etc. Had a return visit last week & it was as good as the first time so we'll be back again next time we fancy one for sure.

Bideford is well served with fast food places some good others not so but this place is my goto for great choice at reasonable price they do a mean pizza too

Tried this place on a whim and greatly impressed really good range and at great prices very clean and tidy will go again or get takeaway delivered next time

Order here as a treat, always shish or chicken kebab. Tasty, good pittas and nice strong onions in the salad. Great pit stop when I’ve worked later than usual at work and don’t want to cook when I get home!

I suggest this kebab shop sorts it’s marketing out. Currently on holiday in Instow and returned home to find a leaflet for this takeaway delivered through the letterbox. It’s beggers Belief I phone this takeaway and ask if they deliver and told very frankly it’s too far! It’s a ten minute drive / 3.3 miles; why waste money on marketing this area! Maybe the money should be spent training staff in customer service reading from these reviews! or here’s a business idea: charge a couple of quid for delivery!

Warm, friendly, efficient service. An excellent range of great value food. I love it! Soooh tasty - food and staff! Well worth a visit.

Just eaten from here again and it was as usual excellent - salad was moist, doner was tasty, chicken was succulent and well seasoned. I’ll be continuing to be a loyal customer.

Ordered last night for a family supper, great variety to choose from,even my grandson who is a fussy eater , found something he liked,it was hot tasty and enjoyed by all .I would not hesitate to order from here again.

Ordered a Garden pizza but upon arriving home, found out it had pepperoni. Phoned to explain there had been a mistake and the girl who answered the phone was clueless and passed me to someone else. When I talked about the mistake, the person on the other end hurled abuse down the phone stating I had ordered a Chicago pizza. Upon reiterating that as a vegetarian I most certainly would never order something with meat, he carried on shouting over me and screaming about CCTV. I would welcome this as I know full well what I ordered but was told it was private use only! How convenient! Took a few minutes of trying to get a word in over his barrage of abuse and eventually he demanded my address so he could send out a replacement. Now, we only live a 5 minute walk away and it somehow took 1 hour and 25 minutes for it to arrive. I was offered no apologies, and the delivery girl demanded the original pizza back before heading on her way.What was the pizza like? Cold, soggy and limp. Without doubt the worst thing I have eaten in years! Half a slice was more than enough to realise it was disgusting!Now I understand that mistakes happen, but good customer service can rectify that. In my experience, Ali’s take away is devoid of customer service skills utilising a bark and shout approach toward meeting customers needs and I can understand why the nearby Danny’s is far busier. Yes they may be dearer but they are friendly, courteous and the food is fab! Overall, this place is a waste of time and your money. Pay a little extra, wait a little longer by visiting Danny’s.

Vine aquí durante la semana y quedé muy impresionado. En primer lugar, la tienda en sí está impecable - todo limpio y en su lugar. Claramente el propietario tiene altos estándares. El personal era muy educado y servicial. La comida era posiblemente la mejor comida que he tomado un kebab shop ¡frkm Sin duda nos alojaremos de nuevo allí, y sobre una base regular de ahora en adelante.

me and my family are usually regulars when it comes to having kebabs and pizza from here but you only seem to get good service if you actually go into the restaurant. my and my boyfriend ordered one pizza and one chips and we asked for delivery as it was the Saturday night before Valentine's Day and it was our only chance to celebrate it. we expected a little longer to wait as it was the night before Valentine's Day so you can expect to be more busy but the wait we had experienced was absolutely ridiculous. we ordered the food over the phone just before 6:30pm and it didn't arrive to my place until 9:30pm. at this point we were both hungry and miserable and it was so late we didn't really feel like eating it. the delivery driver was so kind though and was very apologetic and it wasn't their fault i felt bad for them having to apologise to me about how slow the food was from the restaurant end, so I gave the driver a tip and told them not to worry because it isn't their fault at all. the pizza had a gross burnt taste to the base as well as the cheese which really put me off completely. and the chips were so soggy I didn't feel like eating anything. I was so disappointed that I haven't personally been back.

Food is good- however if your hungry don't bother asking for delivery...been sat here waiting for 2 hours and 30 minutes and still no sign of food! Not happy

I popped into Ali's after being told by a friend that it was a good place to eat. As soon as I walked in I noticed how spotless the place was, the hygiene levels definitely deserve the five stars that they have been given. I ordered a pizza and it was absolutely beautiful, very well cooked and you can tell its not cheap ingredients that they use. The price for a 10" pizza was £5.50 and for the quality wow such a bargain!!On a whole I am very happy with my experience in Ali's I will definitely be eating here again !

I used to go to Dannys but after having a not so great meal I decided to have a change. The food was on time and it was lovely so will definitely order from there again.

I am a kebab lover, and quite often find myself ordering from ali's as they are the only local place that I know of. However for the past few times ordering I have found myself waiting for an inexcusable amount of time, as much as waiting and hour and a Half longer that they first estimated (two and half hour wait in total). On top of this what was delivered was not what I ordered AND BLOODY COLD! the service I revived over the phone was quite frankly disgusting, as if I were a second class citizen. And to top it all of, they don't accept card or cheque (which in this day and age is ridiculous!). HOW ARE YOU STILL IN BUSINESS YOU DISRESPECTFULL PEOPLE!

Food always good and service very good never have too wait around for long, even ring and collect in ten minutes. Will be back as always lol

On friends recommendation we tried Ali's one Friday evening. Due to child picking up commitments we thought if we pre-order our kebabs for 6 pm we could then ensure getting back to pick kids up at 6.15 pm. We ordered our food, the server assuring us it would all be ready by 6 pm. That then left us a whole hour for me and my Wife to enjoy a very rare drink alone in the pub up the road. We returned to Ali's at 5.55pm to pick up our Kebabs and nothing was ready! No explaination was offered as to why it was not ready or how long it would actually be! I noticed the chef was in the very early stages of preparing what looked like our order!! I asked why it was not ready? The server looked at me like I was being rude and did not acknowledge that fact I had pre-ordered the food beforehand. I was furious and had it not been for the fact we had already paid, I would have walked away. We eventually grabbed our food at 6.15 pm from the guy and ran to get the kids! Annoyed and starving we unwrapped our food to eat around the kitchen table and our mouths dropped, it was awful! The Meat in my Doner Kebab was virtually non exsistant and what meat was in there was cut so thin it was see-thru. My kids had " Popcorn" Chicken which turned out to be be overcooked chicken balls which resembled chocolate peanuts and were so hard from overcooking were not edible at all. My Wife had a Chicken shish which was probably the best thing we had but not great. We were left with a ton of cheap frozen chips which ended up in the bin! Very annoyed because it wasnt cheap and will certainly not be going back there!
