Hands down best chippy in Rochdale. Food never disappoints, highly recommend the mix donner and chips. Excellent customer service and Staff are very friendly, Thank you for always giving my child a free kids drink.

Mate I’ve been here 4 times now. Every single time the food has not disappointed. Legit it’s better than zeeshans chippy in Rochdale. Something as simple as chips and curry sauce for a fiver (decent portion too) it’s absolutely banging. Such a clean place and service is very quick. They accept card too. Food service 9/10 Highly recommended.

One of The worst customer service I ever received.I went to this chippy and there are two elder man who had given me mean looks just because of worrying about something.i had problems happening in my life so I was worried and I decided to order from here.these two elders workers that always work here got offended and can't stop pulling a horrible face at me just for worrying about something.not long i went again hoping it be fine but the elderly tall man still pulled faces at me and he shouted at me whilst discussing my order and had mocked my voice.i rang before and he recognised my voice what the tall elderly man did was mocked my voice.he has done this twice to me now just because of worrying about something.he was pulling a massive face just for speaking in a low quiet voice what should he expect after what he has made me suffer as a customer.

Ordered Uber eats chip muffin and chicken and chips with curry sauce. Very tasty. Chips were the best I’ve had in Rochdale so far and had the perfect amount of vinegar on. I hope they stay consistent!

Used to be a lovely chippy years ago have no clue what has happened pale chicken and mushroom pie heated up in the microwave that was still stone cold and the chips looked liked they had been one dipped in the fryer also pale will not be going back again that’s for sure

The place is great since one member who owned and ran the place. Since it’s been divided upon family members, and a dude awaking has occupied the premises. Still a great place for quality food.

This place has always been a top favourite. Although, the prices in here have gotten a lot higher and quantity of food is a lot less than what it use to be.. Ali's chippy is one of the best in Rochdale.

Great always been BUT ITS JUST GREAT

Went in to the chippy 10 minutes before closing for a last minute chicken donner mix. Even before closing the chicken was piping hot very fresh and juicy not dry at all and the donner was very moist and succulent again not dry. The chips are still piping hot as I eat. Every time without fail everything I order is freshly cooked/cut infront of my eyes. If you have doubts over anything the staff are always respectful and welcoming and are always happy to answer any questions you have. Been going since I was little now I’m 22 and I still get treated like family. Not a bad word to say about the best chippy in town🔥🔥

Went to ali chippy today asked for 2 mix on chips the guy got 2 lots of chips in a trays went in the back i heard the microwave switch on after few minutes he came back with my order I wasn't happy and confronted him his answer was that since they had opened today they have been cutting the donner and chicken and placing it in the back i wasn't happy and I didn't believe him I said you have the 6 pot warmer its switched on why aren't you using that he didn't have the answer left my order went across to a chicken shop really bad experience wouldn't recommend this place don't trust them

Overrated hard chips that are refired over and over

Ordered chicken donner, gave lamb donner. Straight away took it back, staff argued after reminding him I definitely order chicken donner finally he changed it. Opened the packaging and a strong smelly chicken donner which was off. That's how people get food poisoning. Gave it back, no refund. Disgusting.

Been a customer since the shop first opened, the food standards have always been excellent plus the shop premises are spotless very hygienic, staff are always polite & helpful.

Best chippy in rochdale, been going there for 30 years, the owner will be sadly missed forever as he passed away recently but his son has taken over to carry on his legacy. Recommended

Used to be ok but has literally gone down hill, not the original Ali’s chippy, basically using the franchise name! Chips were rock solid like they had been fried the second time round. Worker sneezed on my food and served me this. I refused to have this and they refused give my money back.

When they first opened these guys were really good and we used to go all the time, but somewhere down the line they became rude and obnoxious, their prices went up and portion size smaller. I absolutely hate going there because the staff are not very friendly, all you see are stone faces or little hissy fits if you ask them to give you more. There's better in Rochdale but i'm often forced there due to elders who insists on alis, not having to bear the staff.

I am so sorry I left this review for your shop I got confused with another shop based in Spotlands, I have deleted the review and apologise for any negative impact this may have had, your food is amazing and I have eaten at your shop before, I will not make the mistake of ordering from the wrong shop again 🤦🏻‍♂️

Purchased fish and chips along with peas and was given cold fish, hard chips and couldn't see no peas just liquid absolutely disappointed as this is the second time that its occurred. Considering the meal served rather expensive.

Always get extra vinegar on the chips, unless it's with sauces. Old fashion vinegar which isn't actually vinegar but is delicious.

Fish and chips was spot on, big portions also. Will be going again.

Been going here for years, best chippy for miles (I'm pretty picky), shop always spotlessly clean (5stars hygeine) and food quality always consistent and good.

I ordered fish and mushy peas, and when I got home and tried the fish, it was chewy, batter was not fresh, really chewy, like it’s was cooked at lunchtime and then because it didn’t sell, they re-fried it at teatime, horrible it was, just not a good experience, I was really looking forward to my tea, but I made the mistake of going to this chippy, too far to go back and complain.

Was visiting relatives in the neighbouring town. They insisted on me trying this chippy as it’s not what you would find down south! I tried the donner with their special sauce. I believe it is the sweet sauce and it was amazing! A real tastebuds pleaser! Together with the taste of the food and the recommendations from the staff at the place I was craving this place as soon as I left the premises. A true recommendation for all. Well done guys!

Good chips and in a convenient place. If you don't want to go to Milkstone Road to International Chippy/Harvey's or Tweedale street for Zeeshan's two places which have better chips IMO, if this is closer or your passing by, the food from this place is good. There is a general consistency in the quality of food they provide but occasionally (times where they seem like they could do with more customers) the chips are below there usual standard but still very edible. Shop is tiny though so can't really eat in especially if they were ever to be really busy.

Best chippy in Rochdale. We love this chippy. The fish is huge and so crispy and the portion of chips is massive 1 portion feeds 2 adults. Very little grease on food. We've tried the Kebabs and they are good to. Lovely friendly staff

Delivering in Rochdale googled the nearest chippy which was Ali's had chicken kebab & chips the best I've had in years. A must next time I am in Rochdale area.

Arguably the best chippy in Rochdale. Their pies, sauces, chicken and donner are scrumptious. My personal fave is Chips and donner and chicken with their beautiful thick chutney :-)
