Just ordered great service less than ten mins food was ready if your in the area worth a visit can takeaway or eat in overall lovely food

Extortionatly expensive. £80 lunch for two with soft drink each. Grisly badly cooked lamb. Paltry portions. When it first opened it was good. Now cheap produce badly cooked and over priced! Both eat in and take is over priced rubbish. I will never go there again!

I've been going to Alim-Et for a long time, and their food is always delicious and top-notch. Their doner, in particular, is the real deal. I've tried doner at many places within a 20-30 mile radius of Maidstone, but Alim-Et’s is by far the best. Whether you have it in a wrap or on a plate, I highly recommend trying it. You won’t be disappointed!

Travelled here to meet friends for dinner. Booked table on line. Taxi dropped us off walked round to restaurant and it's closed. Our friends arrived not impressed that nothing on website where table was booked. We had to wait for another 2 taxis to come and pay out more to find another place to eat

I haven’t had a doner kebab for maybe 10 years and really fancied one. Assumed Alim Et would do a particularly nice one. How wrong I was!! What did I expect? Piping hot fresh meat in a warmed pitta with crisp salad and sauces of my choice. That’s what a takeaway doner should be. What did I receive? Lukewarm meat that had been sitting in a pot, served on its own in a polystyrene box. A pitta bread neither warmed or sliced served in a bag. A pot containing lettuce ( lots of) cucumber ( one piece) tomato ( one piece ) and a small wedge of lemon. No sauces. Sorry, but this is not how a takeaway kebab should be served and I ended up throwing most of it away. The meat didn’t taste anything like I expected and I suspect it could be another 10 years before I risk another one ( from a different establishment )

Have eaten there before and loved it. However, this review focuses on the absolute rip off they impose for delivery. Ridiculously expensive - walk-in prices and Deliveroo prices are miles apart. Lamb Doner & Lamb Shish walk-in price £16.50. THEN you have the Deliveroo price of £20.90. Already a difference of £4.50. Before any Deliveroo charges are incurred. These are the 'service fee' of £2.09 - which I guess is for actually putting it in a box/bag. Then 'delivery fee' of £2.29. Then your 'bag fee' of 10p. So a total of £25.38 - a difference of almost £9. An absolute pisstake.

Amazing selection of food and drinks and a wonderful service!

Used the hand car wash facility a very good job was done on my car, it took an hour ro do a complete valet inside and out

Very expensive for what you get, 21.30 place was empty and I would suggest that this is because it is over priced, was also told if we pay cash there would be a 10% discount which to me sounds like a tax fiddle

Nice place nice food nice staff. Unfortunately, though, I will not rush back. The reason is that the cost is a little high. In particular, the drinks were VERY expensive, almost £12 for a glass of Merlot was too much. For that reason alone I would not go back. Such a shame

Lovely place to eat, food was excellent. Only one little niggle was service was a bit slow. We were sat down and it took at 15 minutes before we were asked about drinks. Then another 15-20 before taking order for food. Don't mind waiting for the food to come out as its all freshly cooked. But on the whole a nice experience.

Terribly disappointed, checked closing time on internet for take away said 11pm, arrived at take away 10.45 and they said kitchen was closed! All they had was doner which I do not eat. Why say closing of 11pm when really you should change this to 10.30pm. Also this is a Saturday night. You would not go into a supermarket 15 minutes before stated closing time and they say tills are closed. Very disappointed

Food is delicious. The meat is always so juicy and succulent. Very consistent with every order. The baklava is amazing!!! You can tell it’s home made. It’s become a regular Friday night take away for our house hold.

Absolutely amazing! WOW! Best Kebab I've ever eaten. Service with a smile. Hot, delicious and nothing is too much trouble. Eating in? They've even got a car wash, so you can enjoy your meal and return to a daisy fresh motor. (obviously costs, doesn't come with the meal haha). Top notch establishment serving top notch food. Not my first time, and certainly won't be my last.

Very delicious food, and very polite service

We went here after a nice swim down at Larkfield leisure centre, I had a wonderful chicken and lamb shish finished off with a baklava. If you enjoy Turkish food this is the place to go.

This place is truly amazing! Whenever we come here, the service is outstanding and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We can't help but praise everything about it. Tonight, all 17 of us were accommodated perfectly for a birthday celebration. We had a young child with us, and every person who served our table was exceptionally kind and considerate. The food is absolutely flawless, a solid 100%! You should all be extremely proud of the exceptional experience and service you provide. Thank you immensely for this wonderful evening!

Had calamari that was over cooked. Told staff and was told that it happens. Was offered a lamb doner. Which I declined. Got given a desert that didn't want. When Bill arrived was given a discount of £11 on a £83 bill but charged £11.50 service charge. Make your own conclusions

I have been using alimet since it opened, fantastic food. Service from the son is lacking. 1st time lahmacun took 20 minutes longer than my order, he then informed me that my order number had changed and that it was my mistake. Then my order number was 10 behind everyone else's. Tonight as my order number was one away when I arrived this then passed and after another 10 minutes he informs me that lamb shish takes longer than my chicken shish and this is the reason for my wait. This time as it was the third time with him making excuses I left with out my order. NOT GOOD Maybe he should take a back seat and let the guys that are cooking serve, never had any issues with any other members of your staff. This will give him more time to count money and talk about his car.

We have now gone to Alim-et about 5 times now. Each time has been amazing! The service is incredible, you are seen to straight away, any questions you have the servers answer happily. The food is incredible as well, I can go on and on about how great the food is, especially the hummus (best I have ever had), but it is the service that keeps us coming back. This is an incredible restaurant with amazing food and top tier service. We will keep coming back!

Its hard to believe! I placed 9 deliveroo orders over last 4 weeks, most of them above 50pounds, and this last time I ordered I forgot the sauces, they worth 2pounds, I called and asked if they could add the sauce somehow as I forgot it, I said I will place extra item in next order to compensate 2pounds. They said that Its my problem. Also I mentioned that I have placed many orders last few weeks, he said it doesn’t matter! What a way to say thanks to your customer! I know its my mistake, but taking into consideration that its only a 2pounds, and that I am frequent customer, is it really worth it? Always had deliveries from there, was planning to do eat in visit, but not anymore! low level customer service and unfriendly.Must say that when lived in Loughton had many restaurants like this with much better quality for same price, and if you ever forget something, never worry. Its 2pounds I mean I still cant believe it! 👎👎👎

Food is always great here, staff are courteous and great to talk too. A great choice of beers, wines and gins, caters for everyone. Cannot fault the place and regularly visit most months. Thanks again, best restaurant in Larkfield.

You’d expect fresh in house sharwarma style lamb Doner at a place like this, was served pre-made Doner which would normally be found a bog standard kebab shop! Cmon guys start making your own Doner!

Food is mediocre and very expensive. £21 for a halloumi kebab with a small portion of rice and some grilled vegetables. The halloumi barely amounted to 5 thin strips. Also witnessed an owner or manager berating a waitress belittling her in front of everyone. Several tables around us noticed - unprofessional and unpleasant to watch as she was clearly upset about it afterwards. Have visited quite a few times before but won't be returning.

The lamb shish is to die for. Also recommend the Lahmacun with doner as a wrap

Amazing atmosphere, great service & the best food!

Very tasty food. Chicken cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. The regular kebab is £21 which is on the expensive side and I felt the portion size was too small. £78 for three kebabs and three cokes which included a £7 service charge was a bit too expensive for me even in a world where prices have gone crazy. As such I will continue to order from the takeaway but won’t be rushing back to the restaurant.

Decided to Try on spur of moment. Staff freindly very clean and comfortable. Lots of choice on the menu. Large meals. Downside found it mega expensive. 2 main meals 3 soft drinks 2 coffees and had a bill of £77 for 2 of us added to that a big fat hefty service charge of £ 7 ! No deserts. For this reason we won't be returning and that's a shame.

Hadn’t booked - drive past and decided to venture in. Lovely friendly staff, delicious food, will definitely return!! It felt a little bare, hence 4/5 stars, a bit of Turkish decor/lanterns/candles on tables, would enhance the experience and make it feel even more authentic.

It is rare that you find a restaurant with great tasting food with extremely friendly staff and this place is that rare find. I found it very welcoming to my family including 2 children.

Had a takeaway this evening lamb Dona and chicken shish both were delicious and there was so much it would have easily fed 4. Can’t understand those saying on here that portions are small. For the amount and quality it was good value would definitely recommend.

Food was good but it was really over priced to the point it’s obscene for the small portion of food. It puts us off from going back there when we can go to Frederic bistro for a fraction of the price.

Don’t even bother going here , 3 times in a row they have messed up my order , on the 3rd time the man on the phone said he would give me a refund , when I checked my bank he only refunded me for the missing item even though he said he would give me a full refund , He was also rude , I can understand mistakes happen but why lie then go against what you said on the phone? Food was good,but price is too high not normal for Turkish restaurants. Staff hardly speak English,when we did order drinks a bottle of wine and pint of beer they bring two pints of beer...and finally if you gonna left something from your belongings you newer get them back if you came back next day to collect them. In my situation I get answer than”no one knows who cleaned the table and where they put yours belongings maybe by mistake they trow away” and manager start to shout on me “why I left it”hat she slept only a few hours and said me not come back to them place any more. I did pay a good money for not only for food but I think for service too and that bad attitude for customers shocked me. I am very sorry for people in Turkey and what happens there (big earthquakes)

I used to love this place, but it is now grossly overpriced. Over £7 for three very thin slices of mozzarella as a starter. Mains so overpriced. Average £21 -£26 for mains which are small portions of Turkish food.

I went here for my birthday meal and everything was excellent, from the staff greeting us and waiting the tables to the food.

I met with two close friends today on a grey wet Monday for a catch up lunch as I have moved to West Sussex after living in Kent for nearly 40 years.We were neighbours for many of those years, so we try to meet up for lunch every few months. I found Alim-Et online, and having read the reviews decided to book our lunch as it was easy for us all to get to with a convenient carpark at the rear. This was important as one of my friends was on crutches after a foot injury, so we wanted easy access to the entrance. Our reception couldn't have been better. The staff couldn't do enough to get us seated comfortably in a corner table with plenty of room. The place was absolutely spotless, including the toilets which can often be a let down in some premises. There was even a disabled and baby changing toilet on the same floor with a wide doorway for easy access. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious, as it was all freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The Turkish white wine we ordered was presented in an ice bucket to keep it chilled throughout our meal, and we were even given a taster beforehand, as we didn't know if it suited our palate. We were not rushed, and the two lovely ladies serving us were very attentive, ensuring we were happy withour food, and helping with our coats when we were ready to leave. Altogether a great experience, and we'll be making it our favourite meeting place for future lunches.

Amazing food and really good service.

This is a great restaurant with fantastic service and food. It has a wide ranging menu and the Turkish Red wine is to die for. Yes the cost of the meal is not cheap, especially if you drink wine, bit it's well worth the expense.

We were immediately given a very warm welcome on arrival and shown to the table (which was by the door). The menu was one of the very best I've seen, with a huge and wonderful variety of choice. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted amazing....

The best chicken kebabs I've ever had. They are like an upper class posh kebab if one exists. All sealed in separate boxes and chicken pieces heat sealed to keep in all the moisture. No matter what you think of chicken kebabs you will not be disappointed with one of these. Since trying one of these, I have never been elsewhere, they are that good.
