Went for a portion of chipsíu rut. Got and charged a large portion. That's not what I asked for. I complained and got a 'normal' portion with a refund of the difference in price However the portion size was not generous, the service was nothing fantastic at ALI'S is nothing different from anywhere else Would I go again - No reason to, as there are better value and better service establishments

Below standard fish and chips, wouldn't buy again. Also..... Why are the mushy peas bright green!? I didn't have them as I was so surprised by the weird colour. I did taste them and they were watery and bland.

You get what you pay for...it is decent food, with good service. Cheap, and good value for money. Chips are proper chips!

Ali's fish and chips serve a range of Asian dishes as well as very good (and generous portion) of Fish and freshly fried chips. They do peas too, and salads, halal hot dogs, etc. and cold cans of pop. Very reasonable prices and quick service. They do not deliver as far as I know, but where planning to incorporate this service in the immediate area.

The food here has just gradually deteriorated since the owner passed over management to staff. I went there tonight got fish and chips gravy and sausage the fish given to me was taken of the ledge above the chips it all fell apart and when i got it home looked like something i put in my cats bowl. The sausage was barely cooked it ended up in bin. Don't go after 8pm the staff are preoccupied with getting off food is put on plates on top of the mesh drainer it sits in its own grease. The main fryer doesn't make any eye contact with you very unfriendly. i wont be going again, after 25 years Ive had enough,, very sad. There's lots of better places than this

Called into Cafe Nero around 12.30 for a drink and a sit down after walking round town in the cold. I’ve never been in before. The service was very slow at the counter despite being no queue. There were no free tables to sit downstairs apart from 1. The room was busy with young men coming and going without buying drinks or food. They appeared to be sitting indoors out of the cold in between doing food deliveries on their bikes. The coffee was nice but think for a relaxing non working type of environment we will go somewhere else for a drink in future.
