Alfalafel in Bath and North East Somerset

Bought chicken done, chicken burger and beef burger. The food is tasty and good quality. However, the sauces ( ketchup and chilli) were so tangy, ruined the food.

Staff member very rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. I had to ask him to change his tongs after he had been arranging raw chicken and it being on the tongs, he then tried to dish up my chips. Urgh

Cheapest food you can get on a night out in bath. Great food and always good customer service. I especially recommend the wings and chips.

I hate writing negative reviews, but this place is filled with fake positive reviews. The food was below average and has worst customer service! Being a female the middle eastern guy was very rude and made me very uncomfortable by aggressive attitude and showing ego. I politely asked if he can add tomatoes to my burger and he replied, "do you see any tomatoes?" When he asked what I want on my burger I told him lettuce and onions..he just put a single strand of each and kept staring at me. Ladies and gentlemen please avoid this place at all cost!

Wrap was horrible, Halloumi wrap with a tiny piece of Halloumi and tons of cabbage. I was so hungry and yet threw it away. Plus, horrible customer service!!!

Best cheap and quick takeaway on Kingsmead Square but one of the staff members can be a bit of an annoying weirdo sometimes... He still cooks the food quickly though.

shaban promised discounted prices if i left a positive review however he did not, any positive reviews are simply trying to get cheaper food. Service is always slow and too much overly friendly chatter, caught him eating my chips and swear he spat in the box at one point, highly recommend giving this place a miss.

A more than wonderful experience, excellent prices, quality food, reasonable quantity, and always smiling staff. The best thing is shawarma, kebab, falafel, and potatoes, one of the most beautiful food stores in the city.

I ate a mix wrap sandwich with fries and a drink at a cheap price and the taste was incomparable due to the beauty and cleanliness of the store.

Absolutely useless!! Same as 'Bill Bull' review! Staff person flirting with clients. After order decided to increase music on his Amazon Alexa. Simply asked for a kebab with garlic mayo. then ended up with a kebab I couldn't eat with extra 'I mean extra hot sauce which was unbearable. It was a waste of money by poor service.

I came into the shop today around 21.30. Fella was flirting with a couple women and playing speaker loud. When asking me for my order he wanted to make me repeat myself, in trying to impress women. Rude lil man

Was the best shawarma I had from a kebab shop since I started living in the uk!!! authentic taste the bread and seasoning are just right hit of deliciousness can’t wait for the next night out in bath trying this kebab after a night out was a treat

The frozen kofta is place in the high temp oil, hence it is burnt by the highly heated oil and looses its quality taste. Lack basic cooking skills.Will never go there again.

Chicken shawarma bone dry, either overcooked or held in hot hold way too long, or both. Sauces are all store bought, none made in house, not even a classic kebab shop chilli. Doesn't line the polystyrene box so the straight-out-the-fryer chips melted the box. Barely speaks English, didn't know what I was talking about when asked is this chicken breast or chicken leg. Sigh, I miss Marmaris...

Their shawama which I only buy is nice (mixed dona which is chicken and lamb is nice). But their vegetables/salad is stale looking so I never add it to my wrap

A small take-away spot that has barely changed it's prices in over 10 years, Alfalafel's is me and my friend's go to place for hot, cheap and tasty food served quickly with a smile. What keeps me coming back to Alfalafel's is they do not stinge out on portion sizes. If you want to drench your cheesy chips in garlic sauce so you can barely see the crispy potato strips underneath - then this is the place for you. If you want a sumptuously saucy falafel wrap loaded with veg, fresh falafel and humous (at a price lower than I've managed to find anywhere else in the city - or in multiple cities for that matter!), this is the place for you. If you like your cheesy chips covered in so much cheese so the clumps of cheese melt together creating a layer of gloriously greasy cheese over your deep fried crispy potato-based delights, then this is the place for you! No, there's no seating, yes it's very small and can get a bit busy (unsurprisingly), but it's cheap, cheerful and absolute glorious when you want to indulge after a night out, before a night out, on a weekday, after work, before work, when you want to escape the girlfriend as she pursues through the clothes shops for hours, when you are craving lunch during college, you get the idea...

They prepared our order while we were running to the ATM to withdraw cash (they only accept cash). After we picked up our order and came back home, we realized they made two Doner Kebab but forgot the bread. I understand we ordered during rush hour but how is it possible to forget the bread when making a sandwich?

Food was good but paid £2.50 for 2 hash browns, the same quality, size and appearance you get from the supermarket for £2 for a bag of 20. The falafel and halloumi wrap was good but it is clear they're skimping out to save money on order.

It's a decent place to get food after you are drunk. Only place where you can get food till 3 AM.

It's ok there. Run of the mill kebab shop really. Last take away was a chicken shish kebab and chips. With a warm can of coke! Food was nice enough. But after a few too many pints of cider, my otherwise 'Michelin star' veteran taste buds may have been compromised. Also, they don't accept cards. Cash only. Completely legit, I'm sure....

I went in to the kebab tonight about 12.30, I was the only customer in the shop at this time, there was another man who I think worked there but was sat out round the front. As soon as I went in I said please can I have a portion of chips and the man serving said of course anything for you and was acting very weird , then was just acting inappropriate, so I said all I’d like is my chips please then he wanted me to put my fist up to his fist for some strange reason and because I said no as I didn’t know if I would get grabbed or anything , and after paying leaving the shop and waiting outside as I felt uncomfortable I then go in when it’s done and the man is angry because I wasn’t flirting with him, he knew I looked scared as it’s only a small place and wasn’t sure what could happen!! He then slid my chips to the other end of the counter so I would have to walk past them both and I asked if he could pass them to me as I felt uncomfortable walking past them I genuinely felt like they were going to grab me or something so yeah I didn’t want to walk past and he said no he wouldn’t pass them and said if I wanted it I had to go get it. Then I got it and looked over and he’s saying things in an angry manor as he didn’t get what he wanted. He was expecting me to flirt with him which wasn’t happening and because I didn’t he completely changed with in minutes! I felt so uncomfortable and worried incase something was going to happen! And this shouldn’t happen! I’m a customer , and I shouldn’t of felt like this, I recommend no girls go to this place day or night time!!!!! I would not want any other person to have to feel so worried at that time of night from going into a kebab.

Poor hygiene practices with regard to the preparation and handling of raw meat. I suggest the owner sends the staff on a level 2 food safety in catering course.

I came to bath as a tourist so at some point my friend and I were hungry so we went in to place order for a 14”pizza which had chicken, lamb donner and pepperoni as toppings. We wanted to pay and we were told they only accept cash so I n our way to the cash point we saw another chicken shop peri peri so we wanted to ditch them because they had no place to sit but since we already placed our order we decided to go back. Soon as we got the pizza and we started eating I could tell the pizza toppings were old, not fresh and tasted bad. I had to taste each topping one after the other to find out which one, then I found out it was the chicken. I eat chicken every day of my life and I was so disappointed i had to throw my pizza away. My friend didn’t care because he was so hungry. I just couldn’t take it anymore I dumped it into the trash then I went to meet them to complain about it. The guy who made the pizza said “No one has ever complained about our chicken maybe you don’t just like the taste it is fresh because I made it myself “. Don’t know why people can’t take constructive criticism that would help their business. Moreover the toppings were lifting off the pizza base and majority of the things on their menu they didn’t have it. What’s the point of opening a takeaway restaurant.

Literally the worst chicken shish I have ever eaten. And I’ve had a few! The chicken is old, precooked, thrown on the grill and painted with a marinade before being put in a pitta and squirted with a grim chilli sauce. I ate two mouthfuls and threw the rest away. Go to peri peri over the road.

This place makes the most crappiest kebab ever. I ordered a small chicken kebab and it was disgusting with black chargrill pieces on it and the mint yogurt sauce tasted old and bitter. There are better places in the area that serve better quality food. Please avoid.

Well, it's reliable isn't it? If they did pizzas late at night too that'd be pretty sweet. Never had a bad meal from here.

This place isn't somewhere I ethically agree with, due to the glorification of meat, spinning around visible from the street. However after realising not much was open after a night of Comedy at the Komedia my friends convinced me to go against my vegan ways and enter the shop. After queuing for a while we eventually ordered and I got some plain chips and my friends, unaware of the harm they are doing to the world, got chicken wings and cheesy chips. While eating I interviewed them so I could understand the full "Alfalafel" experience. To condense a 45 minute chicken and cheese based discussion; the cheesy chips had "adequate cheese" and the chips full of potato. However the assembly of this dish could have been better, I felt a strong need for "multiple layers" of cheese throughout the chips for a "greater cheese distribution". The chicken wings were "just brilliant, but maybe that was my drunk self talking" All in all go vegan, but if you can't be asked go to Alfalafel.
