It is the best south Indian style biriyani I have tested in my 12 years in the UK. lip-smacking. They prepare fresh and need an hour's notice to get ready, so they don't heat and serve stale ones. After eating. I took a take away all the way to Manchester for my family

I always order the veg and lamb samosas for my workplace special occasions. I have done so for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. My colleagues love the samosas too.

I love Alees samusas soo much , I guess its the same chef use to make when use to be Ambala because I still.get the same taste 😋 barfi are delicious too. Hope soon we going to try their bucket biriyani.

Best bucket briyani around. I normally order Vegetable or Mushroom bucket briyani. The briyani is always fresh, healthy and very tasty. So we buy a lot, eat some and store the remaining in the fridge to eat for next 2 days. We would also buy brinjal curry which can be used in plain rice or even with briyani. I would highly recommend it. I have to travel 30 mins to get to the shop and I still do it.

After hectic work trip, coming back to a plate of biriyani is a true emotion. My husband has ordered from Aleez and the box was waiting for me to devour and indulge. Delicious chicken biriyani with the best brinjal gravy. Must try!

worst night mare shop!. when i went and asked to buy some sweets the shop keeper showed me boxes in 3 sizes. and the prices for each box. so i choose the small box and choose few sweets and after that he’s weighing that box and saying different price! he didnt tell this at the beginning! & few sweets he charged me £5 😂😂! in the tooting pooja swwt shop its plenty for same price. this is absolutely cheaters! thief… i don’t recommend this shop

Got the 1/2 bucket chicken for the first time. Not really happy about the food. Rice was over cooked. Staff very nice and polite

I used to love their biryani and would come all the way from east london. But yesterday's biryani was horrible. Ordered 5kg chicken biryani for collection at 6pm, when came to shop to collect, the box was not 5kg, have to wait for 45 min. 2) the rice was overcooked 3) the briyani was extremely spicy, kids couldn't consume at all 4) upset tummy later in the evening.. totally disappointed that quality has come down so badly.

Alees does the best Biryani in London, Period - you will not find another authentic South Indian biryani out there. Soon as your open the Biryani bucket and the aroma hits you like a wall and you will be immediately transported to the kitchens of tamilnadu. We need more Alees all over London!!!!

One of the genuine South Indian Biriyani which tastes so delicious as if you enjoy in a Muslim wedding. I haven't seen anything tastier than their mutton Biriyani in London. It will be nice if they do delivery or else open a branch in Luton.

Quality has dropped, ordered Veggie and Chicken Biryani yesterday, poor taste, you could sense the Biryani was made in a hurry, the veggies were raw, tomatoes still crunchy and very tangy, which is not expected in a well cooked Biryani, travelled from Horsham for this, won't bother going forward

I am very passionate about authentic flavours and was in the hunt of the best biryani- the kind my grandmother or mother would make from traditionally handed down recipes. I am a biryani connoisseur myself and even In the most expensive restaurants around UK, I could never find my kind of perfect biryani, until I luckily found this place with a friend’s recommendation. I literally drive up and down 4 hours to get this when I crave for it - It’s so worth it! The family who work here are so lovely and make stuff to order, fresh, hot and With the excellent taste a biryani should have. All varieties of biryani here are equally good! Once you taste it you will sure crave for it often! Alees is sure my chosen king of biryanis. My dream is that they have a chain of Alees biryani all over UK! Very good biriyani in Croydon. I have been a fan of couple of places in Eastham and I always wanted good one in Croydon. Finally very happy with Alees!! We always use them for our badminton tournament days and everyone loves it!

Went today to buy some Indian sweets, I brought pandas and chocolate barfi was not disappointed at all did taste just as good as Ambala sweets what the shop used to be.

I have been living in UK for 22 years and must accept this is the first traditional authentic south indian biryani i have eaten. Tasty and awesome. Thanks for the delicious Biryani. Good quantity and qality , around 8 adults were able to eat in 1 Bucket biryani with many chicken pieces. We live in essex , travelled around 95 minutes and did not get disappointed

We ordered Biriyani here and was absolutely awesome. Felt exactly like india taste. If you are here please try their Biriyani. Note you would need to order it atleast 2 hours before and minimum quantity is for 3 to 4 people.

We tried Alees Bucket Briyani and the food was really good.. the taste of the Briyani takes you to down south of Tamil Nadu.. we need to order Briyani in advance as they make Briyani based on orders… they have combo options available.. they also do bulk order but they don’t deliver, we have to collect it.. don’t forget to order in advance else will get disappointed.. definitely recommend this place if anyone is searching of Bhai veetu Briyani!!

Best Biryani in West Croydon hands down

I ordered food from uber eats on here the restaurant sent me the wrong order also was very dirty gone off food I then tried calling them didn't pick up my call I'll never order from here again and I was a regular customer I ordered two kebab rolls two samosa and barfi and received something totally different to barfi looks like a Turkish dessert box and samosa but I ordered meat ones I kept calling the restaurant no one was picking up the call I order from here every week but I will defiantly stop why should I pay to be treated this way if you don't want to lose your money customers don't order from here

Excellent South Indian Biriyani..

I used to buy the bucket biryani regularly but now the deal has changed with a sugary drinks bottle instead of Indian sweet pack and I don't see the value for money anymore. Also there is no other menu other than bucket so either you starve with no biryani or eat more and get bigger. So this will be an occasional buy and not regular. Store also sells other Indian savouries and snacks.

We have ordered biriyani buckets(chicken and Veg) for our son’s birthday party from Alees and it tastes real authentic madras biriyani alike. Still I can think of Chicken gravy they delivered. Everyone attended party shared positive feedback and asked whereabouts. I will recommend if anyone want to serve food for more than 50 people with reasonable price and quality.

A must visit place if you are a biryani lover. They have some good sweets and kulfis/ice creams as well if you like.

Biriyani here is only available if ordered on phone and it’s not mentioned anywhere. We reached this place after 90 minutes as we are close to london city airport only to find out that they are only taking orders on phone and it’s only for full or half bucket orders. Next order ( chicken biryani) was taking 2 hours so we left the place as they didn’t have anything available readily. ( they did offer us an option of lamb biryani in half an hour, but that was not what we came for) Leaving this review for anyone looking at reviews as I didn’t find a helpful review myself before we decided to go here. Unfortunately we couldn’t try the biryani here. And don’t intend to visit again.

Please don't go there for mithai. They do everything but mithai. Disappointed

A very nice sweet shop for all communities. Serves halal food and sweets. Some of the popular items are Jilebi, rosgulla, pasta barfi, kaju katli, laddu, samora, chicken/meat roll and biryani. Alees have a good range of sweets and you can purchase them by grams as you need. Easy to mix and match items. They've protection and precaution for covid so you can shop worry free.
