Alberto's Italian in South Northamptonshire

We visited late afternoon yesterday and were the only people there. The interior is lovely and really spacious. We were quickly served. My daughter had pizza and I had the penne salmon and garlic bread to share. Both were lovely. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Lovely place.

Really nice inside and they have a rooftop terrace, air conditioning which is great and quite cheap compared to other pubs, also very clean

Visited Northampton for a couple of days and came across Albertos Italian, popped in for a drink but looking at the menu we decided to have dinner. So glad we did, we were served by Sergio and what a lovely, most welcoming man he was. Our food was absolutely delicious, my partner had calzone and he said it was the best he'd ever had, we're going back for lunch before we head home. Compliments to Adnan the chef, absolutely top notch 👌

My partners calzone was Luke warm at best in the middle. I finished my main course before he got his. To be fair it was whisked off and changed quick but I was hungry. I had pasta, chicken and broccoli. It was tasty but the broccoli was mushy. Either pre-cooked or frozen. Wouldn’t rush back when there are so many good Italians in NH.

We weren't aware that this restaurant is now part of the wedgewood pub or I'm not sure we would have booked! I'm glad we did, the food was amazing and the price is reasonable. We visited to celebrate our anniversary so it wasn't quite the romantic atmosphere we were hoping for! Highlight of the evening was watching staff carrying a man in a wheelchair up a flight of stairs which I'm not sure was H&S compliant

We were a group of 10 celebrating a colleague’s 40th Birthday. From start to finish, an excellent experience. The staff were amazing, as was the food. We had the lunch deal with pasta/pizza and a drink. Very good value and all extremely tasty. Will definitely return.

Enjoyed our meal here last night. The pizzas are really tasty. The service is friendly and efficient. It’s a smart and well furnished place with a modern, comfortable cocktail bar adjoining it. Can recommend this and will go again.

We went to Alberto’s for a birthday celebration, this was our first time in their new premises in Northampton (though we have been several times to the previous location in Grange Park). The restaurant looks lovely, really nice decor, great atmosphere. Staff were so friendly and really looked after us, taking time to chat to us. The food was incredible, beautifully cooked & presented and plenty of it. This place is an absolute gem, highly recommended.

We were going to the panto at the deco so stopped by for dinner before this, I had booked online beforehand. The food itself was amazing. We ordered two pizzas which we split between four of us which, alongside some fries, was plenty due to the size of them. Our pizzas were delicious, freshly made and really yummy. The fries were thick cut and tasty too. The only issue we had was the service was a bit chaotic. The restaurant did not seem that busy. The waitresses were absolutely lovely; really welcoming and friendly. However, the first one took our drinks order then the second came over to take this order unaware that the first had done it, we said we were ready to order food but she said the kitchen was too busy and she would come back in 10 mins to do this. The first waitress brought our drinks over, said she was going to take our food order but needed to get a pen first but never came back. The second waitress came back after about 15 mins so finally we were able to place our food order. The food arrived reasonably quickly and, as previously mentioned, it was fantastic. We were splitting the pizzas between us as we told the waitress and asked for them to be in the middle of the table. The waitress did not offer us any individual plates to put our food on and had gone before we could ask for this so we ended up having to use our napkins as plates for our slices of pizza which was not ideal.

I dined here on Monday with five friends and we had pasta, risotto, calzone and pizza , followed by tasty deserts. We all thought the food was fresh and delicious, and the service and staff excellent. We had never been before but will definitely return and would recommend it wholeheartedly.
