Truva Lounge Cocktail Bar in South Northamptonshire

I love coming to this place whether it's for food or just for drinks. The atmosphere, service and quality is really good, and the breads/dips are to die for 😍 On this occasion we only called in for drinks, which isn't an issue, as they do have a small bar you can sit at, however if the restaurant isn't busy you can sit at one of the tables. Going during the week wasn't an issue but at weekends it's probably advisable to book in advance. We had the loveliest waiter who recommended a really nice Turkish wine - we loved it that much we actually ordered some when we got home!

Very good value lunch, we have eaten here in the evenings also highly recommended. Very friendly and welcoming restaurant.

Wow I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The lunch menu is excellent value for money and the service was great from all members of staff, and the food, it was just like being in Turkey. Thank you we will defo be back when in the area again :-)

I had booked in a birthday celebration dinner for my girlfriend at this establishment. Unfortunately on the day we were running fairly late, however we had called out and notified the restaurant and they were very understanding. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted a friendly staff who only said happy birthday to my partner but there was also a reserved plaque on the table and due to the nature of the occasion we were given a very nice seat. Service was absolutely exceptional from start to finish and I have tried every single food from every single Turkish place that I can think of and this was the only one where the food was not only authentic but absolutely delicious. I had a virgin mojito and this was the best drink I had ever had. The appetisers were exceptional and so was the main course. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic dinner for a fair price with exceptional food.

We dined here for the first time on Thursday. We were there quite early and it was only us there, but as the evening got later the restaurant filled up and there was a lovely atmosphere. The service was very good, really friendly and welcoming, there was no long waits for anything. The food was very tasty, great flavours and the portion sizes were generous. All in all a really lovely place to meet friends and eat out, we will visit again.

Out on a dinner date to mark a special occasion and decided on Truva.......very pleased with our choice. Nice location, service very good and not rushed.........food amazing 👌. We had the hot plate starter for 2 and for the main the shared meat platter. Left feeling very full and fulfilled- we'll be back to try more of the great food. Thank you 👌

We found this spot on a whim while traveling between Leeds and London. The food was phenomenal, along with the service and atmosphere. Truva is a gem!

Lovely atmosphere of an evening, the food was fantastic. The chef does lamb shish perfectly, tender and melts in the mouth. They also have very good cocktails.

I would recommend for lunch or dinner in Towcester. I have been here a couple of times now, and every time the food has been really fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the mixed shish and the lamb was amazing. They catered for gluten free well, just let them know when you are ordering. Gluten free bread with hummus too!

I have dined at Truva numerous times and always had a great experience. The staff are friendly and always look after me well

Came here for birthday lunch on a Friday. As the weather was lovely, we thought let's sit outside. We sat down at a table and waited for someone to come out. Nobody did so I went inside. One wait staff was sweeping with airpods in ears. Nobody else to be seen at this point. I helped myself to the menus as there were none of the tables and asked whether we needed to order inside or will you come outside? She said I'll come outside. A little while later, she took our order. Bartender came out with the drinks and asked if we were just having drinks or having food as well.. I replied I replied I had ordered our food He was shocked. He then comes back with bread and dips. I'm now thinking has the wait staff that took the order not notified the kitchen of our order. Food comes out shortly, it was pleasant. We ordered a falafel wrap and halloumi wrap with fries. No wait staff making their rounds to check on customers. There was also another party of 5 people outside as well. I thought for what we ordered at lunch was expensive. I had to go back inside to pay. I guess as they don't pay attention to outside, people could easily walk off without paying. Nice to visit Towcester. We won't be coming here in a hurry.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really went out of their way to help and assist us. Food was great. Parking across the road. 2 members of staff in particular were superb one was Begum (sorry about any spelling mistakes) and a gentleman who I believe was manager or owner was so helpful. Can't recommend this place enough. I found it via Google and took a chance, this place should be rated higher. Will definitely visit again. Recommend the Salma Beti Chicken. As mains starter is mentioned below

Food came & it was covered in a sour cream/yogurt which wasn’t stated on the website so I couldn’t eat it as I don’t like that. I called up and offered me a different dish which I didn’t want. New one sent out with no sauce on it.

Went in for a birthday meal just myself and my partner. Such a lovely atmosphere and amazing food! Our server (Davide I think) was so attentive and couldn’t do enough. We had the hot meze platter to start and then had the sharing platter for 2 as our main. They also provide complimentary bread which was so good! Overall, great food, service and atmosphere!

We had an excellent experience and a fantastic meal. The decor was great, it's really well done out. The staff were friendly, attentive and incredibly professional. Everything was reasonably priced and the food was high quality. Highly recommended and we will return.

For my Mum’s 75th Birthday, with 16 people to look after, the team have been sensational! We have been so looked after, the food is fantastic, the service excellent and what a lovely atmosphere. Mother in Law was made to feel like a queen, so special! Thank you to you all, very highly recommend!

Sharing platter for 2 was very tasty and decent value. Meze sharer for 2 was ok, but doesn't blow your socks off. Service was excellent and would highly recommend. As a bonus the Efes was very tasty (Beer)

For a £20 mousakka I would expect it to be fresh which it was not. It was cold in the middle and the potatoes underneath had gone brown/grey so it was definitely a few days old which is very disappointing. I could not taste any nutmeg or any other of the spices that moussaka usually has. My friend also complained about cold food and blandness. The lahmacun was ok but again it did not have any flavour. The server was friendly however we had to flag him down to be served as we waited a while. Came here trusting the good reviews but was very disappointed and I am pretty certain fake reviews are put on here.

Excellent food and service! It’s been a few years since we ate at Truva but the food is still fantastic! The kids also enjoyed their 3 course meal. The staff were very accommodating with allergies and the service was brilliant.

Visited with a colleague, did not book. Very warm welcoming, found us a table on a busy Friday night. Received a complimentary starter of flat bread and a chili and garlic dip, very nice. I ordered the mixed grill with a side of sweet potatoes, my colleague had chicken wings. Both meal were perfect, absolutely faultless. The chap who looked after us, was very pleasant and attentive. I would recommend and I will visit again when I am in the area.

They took the concept of a Turkish restaurant and made it fency. The food was good (yet westernised). The dishes were served in a gourmet style and were quite pricey. (to pay 9 pounds for hummus and falafel and received a little plate with a thin layer of hummus and 3 falafel balls on top of that. Gourmet, yes, but quite counterdics the spirit of Turkish hospitality and servings). We got served a couple of times food with wheat, without any special warning, even tho we explained them that my wife can't have wheat products - they were very sweet, apologised and made up with a free desert and we left with a good experience.

Went to Truva on Thursday Lunchtime with a group of 6. I hadn't been before but others in the party had recommended it . We ordered food from the very reasonable lunch menu and were really impressed with the very tasty food, really friendly and accommodating staff and pleasant atmosphere. You must go and have a fabulous meal.

One of the best Turkish restaurants I have tried in the Uk. Excellent food, generous portions and great service. The chef’s special was really good value for money. We’ll definitely go back when in the area.

Booked this for a meal on the Saturday night we were staying in Towcester. It was for my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing but the best bit was the service. The staff were helpful and couldn't do enough. They even heard me mention his birthday and brought out a little desert and sang happy birthday without me asking. Definitely recommend this place!
