Yesterday I was in the area and decided to have a late lunch (around 3pm) at Al Masar, on spec. By chance there was a fifty percent discount on meals eaten outside on a pavement table, so a £15 meal only cost me £7.50 ! The food was excellent - I only wish that I did not live closer, being over 100 miles away normally at my own home at the time! Afterward the tasty lunch, I purchased some fresh dates from the Al Masar grocery shop, and now I have passed them on to my son-in-law (whose father is Lebanese) - hopefully he will be able to make good use of them!

Looks like they hadn't sold the doner kebab for a while and must been spinning in front of the grill for a while. Instead of cutting away the dried rubbery chicken they served it to me. It was all dried up, dehydrated rubbery and chewy meat. I couldn't eat it. The mixed grill kebab was not better. What they call side salad is just chopped up white onions on its own and the meat is coated heavily with garlic powder along with a lot of salt to mask the taste. I must admit the kofte (minced meat kebab was good) but the lamb and chicken kebab tasted like eating garlic and salt with a bit of burnt meat.

I found this place while searching for Lebanes restaurant in the London area. It was awesome to find that the food was amazing! What was even better is that the staff made the whole experience even more amazing! He helped me celebrate my birthday with some amazing desserts and overall awesome hospitality. This will now be a must-visit place for me when in London. Love it

Average Lebanese food, but quite clean and timely delivery. The flavors are ok and not the best Lebanese food we've had in London.

For our wedding anniversary, we wanted to have a large group of friends together for a meal, and Al Masar was a great place to hold our special event. We had 20 people and they accommodated us brilliantly. We had a set menu, and we were thrilled with the massive spread of foods presented to us (appetiser, mains, and desserts)! We were all filled to the brim with a variety of foods, and they were also able to accomodate the vegetarians in our group. A great feature of the restaurant is their BYOB policy and allowing us to bring a cake to celebrate. Would highly recommend!

After a bit of shopping around Borough we decided to try Al Masar on a Thursday night. It wasn't busy (practically empty) but this didn't bother us. We order a selection of hot starters plus a mixed grill main. The hommous sharwama was very good especially with the accompanying bread, the Al Masar salad was zingy and fresh, the falafel were OK nothing amazing and the mixed grill was fine though I did feel it was a small amount for £14.50. Service was fine and the final price was good. (around £25pp)

The freshly cooked shawarma was lacking grease, which was much appreciated. The ayran, while nothing out of the ordinary, was cool enough to enjoy. No grease or excess fat was a welcoming sight.

Foods great but the service is a joke. We had to keep calling the guy over. First to order some tea then to take the order (we were the only people in there at the time)then we had to ask for serving spoons. Our first visit here was a much better experience. Not sure if I'd go back again.

We went there twice as we had enjoyed first meal, and wanted to try more of their diverse menu. Helpful friendly staff. Better coffee than Starbucks or Costa, and cheaper too!

Came here with a friend after deciding to try out Lebanese food. It was a lovely experience, the service was very nice, the food was amazing! We both loved the food a lot and decided to come by more often, it's definitely one of those places that are a hidden gem. Would recommend to everyone to try out their combo menu, i.e. a variety of starters, a main course and dessert!

Horrible horrible place. You pay to get in at £20. The waiters swap round you and bring the bills as soon as you order. Music playing from the radio. Unless you pay £75 to listen to a DJ okaying crap
