I wanted to give more points. Flavors and tastes, presentation and service were all way above average. Quantity was less than expected for the £18-19 entrees. Batas potato side in a small dish £6.50. Service tip is included. 2 meals / potatoes / £32 for a bottle of wine +tax +service £84 - and we left almost still hungry. The little stainless sauce holders were too small - come on guys….. Service staff enthusiast and kind - even if a little naive. Food: the flavors were very good. The chicken skewer was very good. The lamb Kafka tagine also had good flavors - BUT the lamb meat balls were very dry. I would have bet that they were pre-cooked and quickly reheated when ordered. Decor is funky - kinda cool.

Extremely dissatisfied! The food was served cold and the service was terrible. Not worth the high price at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Nothing to say about the place which is very nice and in a popular area. Very expensive prices and small portions, falafel not fresh and most likely frozen hard as a brick.

Beautiful restaurant with great staff conveniently located near the railway, food can be better but that's me I'm sure others would rate it higher but it just wasn't my thing.

We had a great time sitting outside, although the restaurant is also well worth seeing inside. Excellent food, very nice service (we were even loaned a plug for our cell phone to charge), nothing to criticize. Thanks for a nice afternoon.

Excellent food and atmosphere, kids also liked it really. Service was great, the manager joked around with the kids and made them laugh. I forgot my bag in the end and we were heading towards London Bridge and he ran after us to give it back to us.

I have ate at this restaurant for around 6 years, everytime I visit London whether that be with friends or family. I always stay in this area so a visit here is a must. It never disappoints. The food is always good, I always see new food on the menu as well as my favorites. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. My recent visit the staff went above and beyond to return a sentimental possession my friend had left behind. We are very grateful and are looking forward to our next visit.

We were here for dinner in August 2024. We had mixed grill (2 types of chicken, beef) with rice, couscous and typical desserts (3 different types of sweets). The place is very welcoming.

Food came very fast, the portions are big and everything tastes good.

Excellent food, service and ambience

Visited as a family of 4 07/08. Brilliant experience, Ambre was a kind, patient and very knowledgeable server who made some great suggestions to guide us through the menu. Food arrived quickly and was delicious!

It was nice to begin with Abdul, he was a pleasant employee and very friendly. We ordered 4 dishes: 2 kids wraps, a lamb kofta and a mezze for one. Once the first 3 were finished the last one didn’t come for a while. When it did come, we said we didn’t want it anymore because we had waited too long. They came back with the mezze and said it was on the house😊.

The food was really tasty and the service fantastic. I ordered the falafel salad and a warm olive oil bread..... it was all delicious. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake... wow, it was amazing! I definitely 100% recommend Comptoir Libanais.

Food: Flavour was great - really like the homous, dips and meat flavour. Quantity was very less though. I was disappointed that they didn't serve shawarma. Staff: The waiting staff were very nice and made efforts to make our evening nice. The manager, not so much. Atmosphere: The restaurant is very beautiful and I liked it, but overall the food let me down . I would not recommend.

Incredibly poor service by manager. we decided to remove service charge because waitress spilled the cocktail on one of my friend, he did not even apologise. After taking payment not even thank you, just left. How is the company promoting someone like him as management in the restaurant in London Bridge? mistake.

Love the food and setting. It gives a really good vibe. The menu set has several vegetarian friendly options too. We had the mezze platter for sharing which was perfect, the portions are good. I like the drink list too offering a selection. The service was good for a weekday, we walked in with no booking and were warmly welcomed.

Food wasn't amazing but it wasn't too bad either, rice smelled old but the chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasonrd. Moreover, fantastic service and nice ambience. All in all, good experience.

Really nice place to go as a group of friends or even a nice place to grab a bite with your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband or non-binary partner. Foods pretty tasty and the portions are nice. It's not as authentic or tastey as some of these smaller Lebanese places, but it's actually stoll pretty good. The decor is always really cool in his chain and I got to loce it.

Lamb kofta was a dense dry overcooked lamb sausage. Won't have that again

There are halal foods that are similar to Turkish food (more spicy), and the interior of the place is suitable for taking nice photos.

Food is alright, but is not traditional Lebanese, from the seasoning to the taste it’s nothing like Lebanese food. Coming from a true Lebanese I can tell you this is not real Lebanese food. But nice atmosphere.

The food is tasty, but for the price the portion size doesn’t match. The place is beautifully decorated, staff are lovely but the dishes seem to be a little overpriced for the quality. The side dish of potatoes didn’t wow me and for the prics, it was disappointing. Rice was a little dry but overall the food tastes nice so would recommend!

Compton Lebanese Restaurant is a great choice for halal food near London Bridge, close to the station. The place has a nice ambiance, and the friendly service added to the experience. The food was delicious, though it could have been warmer. Overall, it's a pleasant spot worth trying.

I was disappointed by the South Bank experience (previous review written) but this was much better. Mezze platter was very tasty. I’ve taken off a star because the Lamb Kofta Burger and Lamb Kofta Tagine were okay, nothing special.

Very bad service, I will never return again! They bring us the bill of £94.90 for two people, we paid £90 in cash and £4.90 with card because we didn't have any more cash, the waitress took the money and returned to the minutes saying that we have to pay the £90 by card that they did not accept in cash when there is NO sign in the establishment that says that you cannot pay in cash...also from the beginning the waitress's attention was not very pleasant.. .very bad experience in general

We made a reservation for a 14-year-old girl’s birthday here at the last minute, and it went really well. The staff were really considerate and sweet — put us at a nice table and paid special attention. As a surprise, a couple came over with a delicious cake with a candle and sang happy birthday. The birthday girl was delighted. The food was super tasty — pickles, honors, baba ganoush, tagine, falafel, lamb, etc. — was super fresh. And the cocktails and mocktails were delicious. The place was very pretty and the music great. I’m definitely going back.

The food was delicious. Good vegetarian options as well. We tried the Chicken Taouk and the Halloumi wrap. The staff was very welcoming and the service was great despite that we went in around the closing time.

Went for a quick drink and dessert for my friend’s birthday! All girls on the shift were amazing and attentive, even sang happy birthday. Klaudia went above and beyond, har a lovely time! The food was amazing and we will be back! Everyone visit! 💕

Kuda (apologies is the spelling is wrong) was an amazing waiter! He was so engaged with us and really helped the table order a perfect sharing selection. He had amazing energy and it was great to be served by him.

I was in London for the first time, and stopped at a little Lebanese Restaurant for lunch. This place litterally blew me away!! For starters the manager Hamid took personal care of us even as the newest of customers attending to our every need with the assistance of Arnold. The food is next level to the point where after eating a wonderful lunch I came back several hours later to enjoy an even better dinner! The halloumi and either tomatoes or figs were true culinary delights! The meals were perfect, a blend of home cooking and daring artisanship that were executed perfectly! The deserts were to die for, and lastly the lemonade and hot chocolate were unworldly. You must try the apple and mint lemonade, it's the best thing I can recall drinking! I cant recommend Comptoir Libanais highly enough, a true culinary delight!!

Beautiful restaurant that we are happy to find this place by chance. We tried here as it was very close to our hotel at waterloo. We had the mezze platter and chicken kebap and chicken from kids menu. All of them was delicious, we enjoyed our dinner very much.The service was very good, friendly and fast. I also had raki but I did not like it. It was an mediocre raki which left a bitter taste and it was in room temperature. Raki and its water must be ice cold. Please serve tekirdag raki gold edition or equivalant . As this place deserves it. Our daughter enjoyed doing the kids activity they gave also. Next day we had a flight and we were very happy to see the same restaurant at standsted airport. I again had the mezze platter but this time as a take away to eat in plane as we were in a rush. It was so good.

Amazing food and atmosphere, it is a must try whether you like libanais food or not. you can sit outside and they have a very beautiful setup inside. Service and food options are really good for vegetarians people too.

Me and my friend were passing by and we stopped for a drink in this beautiful restaurant, we couldn’t resist to order a sharing meal to taste their delicious lebanese food, the service was excellent and the warm welcome from the manager was a nice treat, I definitely recommend it!

Amazing place with very helpful, friendly and kind staff. Would like to thank Klaudia and Arnold with all the help with dietary requirements and supporting patiently with allergens. They provided us with great recommendations for food and desserts. Loved the following dishes - Halloumi and Tomato, Hommous and the rare chocolate mousse without egg (Arnold's suggestion). The ambience of the place is beautiful as well. Well decorated with Lebanese theme and calm soothing Lebanese music playing in the background. A picturesque place if you are looking to take some great pictures. Only suggestion or recommendation would be to have more vegan options which do not have egg as cross contamination allergen.

Great place!! We ate here a couple days ago as we were visiting London, it’s a typical Libanese restaurant that is decorated in lots of traditional plates, lights and pictures; it has a very good ambience and it seems like you are really in another country. The service lady that we had was really polite and always asked us if we needed something. The food: the food was excellent and really great to try out when you are tired of eating the same kinds of foods everyday, it is a really original concept with great recipes. The price: the price wasn’t that pricey for the location, which is close to great sites, we ate for 4 and ended up paying about 23 pounds each for everything including dessert, but we didn’t get any drinks other than water and a mojito. Plates I recommend getting: I really recommend getting the HALLOUMI which is basically a cheese made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk, it is very sweet and delicious. Another plate i recommend getting is the HOMMOS which comes with flat bread which is also incredibly good; and LAMB KOFKA ROLL (which they say is to be shared but it’s actually not that big of a portion so you can also eat it by yourself). A dessert I recommend is the BAKLAVA SELECTION, a very sweet and traditional dessert, I hope that someone else also gets to try it. In conclusion: Overall a great restaurant, we were satisfied after eating and it was a great experience!

Fantastic service from Ruva - it had been a long day and she made us so welcome, really made it special!

My friend brought 6 of us to this restaurant for lunch, recommending it, but we were cross questioned by the doorman and told we all had to order mezze. I did persuade the man at the front to please at least let us sit down and look at the menu before committing to what we were going to eat and he finally grudgingly agreedafter telling us wed have to wait for the table to be cleaned. I would have left as we clearly weren't welcome (a group of elderly women) but I didn't want to embarrass my friend. He went on to be rude to another of us who had mistakenly given her mint tea order twice. We graciously accepted to pay for both teas but his attitude didn't improve. The waitress was very nice and helpful but this man's attitude was embarrassingly offhand and none of us will be going back.

Tasty and attractive, but PLEASE NOTE: to our surprise, the bill includes an additional 12% service charge. Only when you are outside do you see the small print at the bottom of the bill: The tip is optional. But she has already been added to the final total (15 pounds). We consider these unprecedented and non-transparent practices. It was tasty, but this has a bitter aftertaste.

Went there for Iftar and was a really bad idea. The dates were soaked in water and so tasted horrible, the lentil soup wasnt great. The food came after over an hour, the first drinks came over after 30 mins which meant we broke fast much later than we should. Lemonade was watery and tasteless. The main dish was missing rice which also tasted horrible when it finally arrived. The only bit we enjoyed from our food were the appetizers.

The service was quick and the ambience was lovely. However, the food, while tasty, felt more Turkish-inspired than Lebanese to me. It was also a bit pricier than I expected for Lebanese cuisine. However I wont mind visiting again.

Slow and painful service - waiter was more concerned about his OCD of the tables being straight than taking our order (knowing we had been waiting a good 25mins to get even the drinks order taken). Food is mostly mediocre (good tabbouleh though).

I booked a table for 5:30 13 march 2024 and went with a group of friends there were 4 of us. We walked in and there were plenty of nice empty seats downstairs but we were taken upstairs where there was absolutely no one not even staff and we were asked to sit in a corner, I asked if we could sit in a different corner upstairs that took exactly the same number of people they said it was booked. We waited for the menus to come but no one was upstairs to give it and 10 mins later I went downstairs and had to ask them, a lovely waiter, Fasil, brought our menus and helped us for the rest of the evening (he was very lovely and helpful). The manager came upstairs and I asked her why we couldn’t move to the opposite table that was exactly the same just a different corner she said it was booked, I question what she meant by booked since we had booked in advance already and nowhere on their website did it ask to specify which table we wanted, she just turned around and walked away. No one sat on that table until much later in the evening as we were heading out, 2 women went to sit, even thought it was a 4 seater table and there were plenty of other 2 seater tables they could’ve sat at. So how exactly were we not allowed to sit there and those 2 women were? And why did the manager very rudely turn around and walked away as I was talking to her? I felt very unwelcomed and felt on edge the entire evening didn’t enjoy my time at all. Again Fasil the waiter was very lovely, the manager however .. also the food is ok not the best especially for the price but I don’t think I was bothered enough by anything else my brain was busy being annoyed at the manager lol. So thanks to the manager for ruining my evening with my friends that I’ve not seen in a year when we were finally catching up.

I absolutely love this incredible restaurant. Straight away you feel the warm and friendly ambience and then there's the food. I swear that I haven't before tasted so many flavours all working together so beautifully. I was genuinely disappointed when all the food had been eaten! Very highly recommended for fabulous food and great service. Booking is a must as you'll miss out if you don't.

Nice looking place but NIGHTMARE service: Non-existant, have to chase waiters constantly, surly/borderline rude. The running of this place is a shambles. Expensive, small, luke warm, blandly presented portions.

Service was super slow, starters and mains turned up cold, portions wernt the biggest either. Its a shame. The atmosphere and asthetic was nice though. At the end the staff member queried why didnt want to pay the 12.5% service charge.

Comptoir libanais is a fascinating restaurant. It's a vibrant, colourful restaurant in the middle of London bridge. I had lentil soup, a mezza of food for starters and a lamb kofta as a main. This was enough food for me and I ate like a pig. If you love Lebanese/middle eastern food, come here, you will not be disappointed.

Such a beautiful place with very nice food and some of the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the service really needs to be improved in order to give this place 5 stars! We had to remind them about simple and essential tasks, which they should be automatic and spontaneous, instead. There were also errors in the order, which it could happen to anyone, but we were left without any information, after pointing it out. At the end, instead of apologies we've got an uncomfortable vibe of arrogance from a couple of members of the team. A good training and manners are recommended, as well increasing the floor members.

Service was terrible. It took several minutes just for them to get us seated. The wait staff saw us standing around and did not get to us. Getting out food after ordering was slow too. Food was mid at best. Very uninspired. The chicken wrap had very little chicken and felt like a rip off. I do not recommend. You can get better Middle Eastern or Turkish food anywhere else.

We had Lebanese food for the first time last night and everything was excellent, although I'm not particularly open to culinary experiments. Nevertheless, I would like to recommend it to others and once again give huge praise to the kitchen!
