We wanted a quick bite before a Proms concert and almost didn't make it. We were seated slightly before 6:00 and it took over 40 minutes before we were served. We had to gobble it down. My wife says her grilled seafood was delicious. I had grilled chicken and it was overdone, dried out and slightly burnt. Our server was good, but because of my bad chicken and the slow kitchen, we will definitely not return.

Lovely restaurant, we were offered the option of seating outside or indoors. Chose indoors as it was a slightly chilly evening. Very good quality seafood. Portions were very generous.

The traditional Emirati dine. Besides the decor (which make you feel like you are in 🇦🇪), it's same taste as if in Emirates. Dined in Dubai many times in AlFanar I can still feel the warmth (need to mention one name -Monica give this place vibe, smile and good service also there is another lady - good service)and spirit of Emirates. Warmth of Emirates hospitality. Truly recommend

Four of us went for breakfast and it was a fantastic experience. Between us we tried the shakshuka, paratha bread, the other flatbread with yogurt, the lamb nashef, broad beans, chickpeas and salad. Everything looked and tasted amazing. The portions were very generous and we couldn't believe that the set breakfast menu was such a bargain too. Lovely friendly staff who took time to explain the menu and when we said that we were celebrating a birthday, the waitress went and found us a candle for our cake too! Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Really lovely food, my only complaint would be the “optional” service charge that appears on the bill! I always hate this, if I want to tip I will but I don’t expect it to be added to the bill! Simply because of this I won’t go back!

We had a reasonable meal here but not really special. The restaurant has a nice decor and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had an ok mixed appetizer with a samosa, round fish cake and pakora. Then a lamb and rice pilau dish called lamb machboos, the rice was tasty but slightly too cooked with tender lamb and yoghurt. The dessert was a kind of custard called araroot that was very sweet but just tasted floury, not for us.

Looking for a bite to eat be before going off to the Royal Albert Hall many restaurants said no booking just turn up and they would sort us out. This place took a booking, did not complain when I phoned to say we were running half-hour late and served up four nice meals. I forgot about the no alcohol issue but that did not stop us from enjoying the experience. I thought the portions were not very generous but were tasty, prices were high but it is London prices (it's cheaper than Dubai airport). Nice option.

I enjoyed every bite cooked with pure perfection of the set lunch menu. The food was extremely flavourful and a reward for a hungry palate yearning genuine Emarati food.It was the very time I was eager to meet the chef. I regretted immensely not having tried the restraunt previously despite it being conveniently located in my neighbourhood. The waitress and waiter were super pleasant. The ambience with all the antiques is beautiful. Will definitely make it my go to place for me time and invite my friends whom I’m sure will fall in love with it.

Well first the good things Fish Kofta is very nice. The Lamb Maghbous is reasonably good. However ridiculously overpriced. The management and waiters/manager are extremely unprofessional. they try to hush you to leave. Pick up plates even as you are finishing. and Keep asking you if you want to pay bill till you just get up. Happened to me on more than one occasions, as I routinely visit London for business and happened to be in neighbourhood. The place has huge potential however the staff is extremely rude. the prices are ridiculous and once I returned a dish stating its not cooked well. They still charged me for the whole.

Breads, chicken, dips, seafood, dessert, everything comes in generous portions with lovely service as well. Samboosas were crisp. The khabisa dessert was really unusual in a good way: a molasses sweet that wasn't over sweet. Beautiful ambience with a comfortable setting. Our first experience with UAE food, and I'd come back for sure.

I have been to Dubai, so I have an idea of what Emirati food is. The food is delicious and very tasty, perhaps better than the traditional food we had in Dubai! We had the rice and shrimp dish, recommended! Actually, anything seafood based would be great.

In the Middle of Kensington, you can find an authentic, rustic-Emarati restaurant that serves affordable, delicious Middle Eastern food. They have amazing Chicken Biryani served with a fresh salad as a side dish, topped with a honey mustard dressing. I definitely recommend the seafood soup...

I went to Ukai & my drink was spiked this was a traumatic & triggering experience this review is really a last resort because on having reached out to Alex the manager relating to him how violated & anxious I felt. his reaction or lack there of really was quite shocking. A manager has a duty of care to existing & future clients safety...having felt paralyzed & frightened on the toilet floor I left without my keys/jacket managing to get a taxi. I'm not blaming the bar or manager however I believe as paying customers we all deserve to be acknowledged when in danger this could happen to anyone of us & if it does ,do not expect ANY support understanding or even a reply from UKAi's manager Alex. After four emails I have not been informed if my belongings have been found. At this point Alex you really are part of the problem. To everyone else please be careful & stay safe.

After hearing mixed reviews about this place i decided to try this afternoon tea. They have Halal and Gluten free options. Overall ambiance and decor of the place is nice and floral. Staff was attentive and kindly offered free a hot chocolate to the child. However it took then 35 mins to bring the food on the table despite the whole place being quite empty. We had one Gluten free and one regular afternoon tea. Afternoon tea itself was very presentable offering variety of teas and we tried three different teas, the nicest one was Masala Chai. Sandwiches were ok in taste albeit rather bland. Scones were fresh, tasty and light. Unfortunately the desserts were very average in taste and were very basic. They do not do refills which is unusual for an afternoon tea. There is definitively room for improvement.
