Al-Baraka Indian Takeaway in Liverpool

This is hands down the best Indian food I have had in a very long time! Tasty, very good on price for great portions, and never a long wait. The samosas are THE best I’ve ever had.

Has something changed??? Everything tasted the sane and really sweet. 2 different currys. Jalfrezi Nd garlic chilli chicken just tasted so sweet and not a bit of spice terrible.

Food has become very similar for supposedly different meals. Disappointing food, delivery service is helpful and prices are reasonable.

Order came and it was wrong called to tell them and they said that's what u ordered and they were busy so basically get off the phone been going here for years not now after the way he spoke to me

How this place has such good reviews baffles me. Original order: Arrived on time. Korma: the one good part of this meal and why they are getting a two overall for food quaility Poppadoms: fine, hard to mess us. Chutney Tray: are you having a laugh, it's a very small pot of sauce and another pot of mixed veg' and mint. Banana Fritters: red, just why? soggy and tasteless with a only a few drops of syrup, inedible. Garlic Naan: not garlic, over cooked and dense as all hell. called for a replacement with garlic (and hopefully better cooked) Chicken Tikka Makhanwala: meant to be a chicken tikka cooked in butter with cheese, instead what I got was a korma with a hint of chicken tikka, no cheese. If you want to make up your own dished, fine, you don't label them as already established India dish names, if you're saying you mix it with korma have that on the listing. Assumed they had sent the wrong dish, called for a replacement. Called for the replacement at 20.11 I eat my two poppadoms and one test bite of the banana fritters. Gets to 21:20 and still no food so my boyfriend calls the restaurant again, in response the employee (/owner?) just saying "I don't know what happened to that. My boyfriend goes through what we need replacing and hangs up. I'm unhappy with this as I've now been waiting for food for almost two hours. I contact Just Eats and they try to ring the restaurant for a refund but they are told no "as the replacement has already gone out". Fine, I wait for my food. Door goes and my boyfriend answers it, too releaved to realised there is no curry in the back until the delivery driver has gone. Third order: Garlic Naan: actually garlic! Couldn't eat it though as I had no curry BOOOOO! and for some reason... 3 poppadoms... we clearly said curry on the phone, both times... so either they somehow though we didn't get our poppadoms, and then only sent out 3 when we'd ordered 4.... or as I later came to believe, they had never planned on sending out a replacement curry and this was their very half hearted attempt at apologising for loosing our replacement order. So I call the restaurant and explain clearly what has happened and that I'm sick of being messed around and I want a full refund. To which I get shouted at "you got the curry!? you got the curry!?". It is at this point that he informs me that the chicken tikka makhanwala is actually a chicken tikka korma... and apparently it's my fault for not knowing that. He had no apology for the awful service and said the only way we were going to get a refund was if we returned the curry to him (God only knows why). Then he hung up on me. He also refused Just Eats when they called him again. So if you want food that's miss-labled and/ or horrible, and the worst follow up customer service I personally have ever encountered this is the place for you! Also please remember that unlike other businesses of this nature Just Eats is not liable if this sort of thing happens to you, so have fun rolling those dice.

Been going here for years and never had a bad meal however, myself and a few friends noticed that the chicken pieces were 'bigger' than usual - resulting in it being very 'chewy' because it's not being cooked for long enough. I hope the Al Baraka rectify this issue soon as it used to be the best around.

Great tasting meals from here. Best Indian all round
