Can't believe some of these negative reviews first time in here today and had lamb tikka masala and it was absolutely gorgeous Will definitely be going back

This place has gone down so much. Balti curry & a chicken chat both look & taste the same. The Popadoms were soft & pilau rice all lumpy sorry will not be returning this is the second time different problems. Shame it used to be so nice.

I never leave reviews and visit here quite often and it's usually good. This morning I have woken up to severe food poisoning. So bad I am debating contacting health and safety. I hate to tarnish a business reputation but this is the last time I will ever step foot in this place expecially something as bad as food poisoning. I have not been able to work, I have been severely sick all day. Before you reply with "can you prove it was us" yes I can your food was the only food I ate yesterday. IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Wrote my first review for this place 6 years ago and gave it 5 stars but now it has gone so massively downhill, it needs an update. Been coming here for over 20 years. Food used to be amazing, but now that has ended. Every time I go, I get the same thing, and every time I pay, the price changes. Not only that, the bhajis are always rock hard and bone dry, chicken chat is too spicy and the bread that comes with it is like greasy cardboard. All the mild dishes are now spicy, so my kids won't touch it. Such a shame as it was my favourite Indian for 2 decades, now I'm not going to bother any more.

The last 2 times here I thought I'd been overcharged, so tonight I paid and picked up a new menu. When I got the order home, I worked my bill out with the new menu and I had been overcharged. Also the naan bread looked like it was a warm up from yesterday and the madras looked a totally different colour than usual. Payment by cash only also of a weekend, so no chargeback there. I think they need a new calculator.

Been going here for many years, and always recommended it but sadly the service and quality has been delivering over the past 6 months or so. Today we had an item missing , but sadly didn’t notice until we got home . We live 20 mins away so wasn’t practical to go back. No refund offered for missing item, and no apologies for their error.

This used to be the best, and you would be happy to pay the premium for it, but unfortunately there has been a steady decline in the quality inversely proportional to their price rises. Furthermore, almost without fail, each time I visit, I have to correct their inflated pricing of my order. My last order had a meal that should have been hot but was sweet instead, and the chicken was chokingly dry. I hate having to write this, but I could not let my previous 5* review stand.

I WENT HERE 7TH JULY, ORDERED STARTERS AN BALTI. ASKED FOR IT TO BE SLIGHTLY HOTTER, I REPEATED SLIGHTLY HOTTER. I GET HOME AND IS SCREAMING HOT , UNEATABLE . I SEPARATED SAUCE, THEN FOUND A HUMAN HAIR IN MY MEAL, I LET BOTH ISSUES PASS & THE TINY PORTIONS. FRI 14TH I GO AGAIN, THIS TIME HE GETS MY ORDER WRONG, I CALL AN HE DENIES IT & BLAMES ME. AWESOME, ZERO HUMILITY AS WELL ! . THEN I OPEN MAIN MEAL AND CARTON IS SO FULL OF SAUCE , AS I OPEN IT GOES EVERYWHERE INC THE CARPET, THEN AT THE BOTTOM , THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF CHICKEN IV SEEN IN ANY ADULT MEAL EVER, ENOUGHT TO FEED 1 MOUSE. SPOSED TO BE A MAIN BUT ITS SOOOOO BULKED OUT WITH SAUCE. . MY POCKET & MY STOMACH IS EMPTY . LEFT STARING AT SAUCE AN RICE. RUBBISH. GOING DOWN HILL FAST THIS GAF... I've been getting our takeaway from here for years however lately we feel the food has gone too expensive, the taste is very poor Been looking around for a new Indian takeaway

Not been here for a while but food still great madras just a little hot but partner loved her chicken tikka masala and the chaat lovely I'll be ordering again soon.

Just got a meal it was that spicy you couldn't eat it even though it shouldn't be ,wrong rice, stater full of grease absolutely disgusting lot went in the bin never again

Been coming quite a lot lately food is normally nice but tonight we got something different which included a chicken kebab which was absolutely disgusting the menu reads chicken marinated in herbs and spices but when we opened it it was dry chicken which hasn’t been marinated at all covered in onions and a crazy amount of garlic paste, was also swimming in oil. Should be called garlic fried chicken or something. We phoned up but after arguing for 20 mins we gave up. they was saying that’s what it says on the menu, nowhere does it say chicken covered in garlic paste. They eventually said they would swap it but after nearly half a hour I couldn’t justify the 20 min drive so it went in the bin.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY 💰..Not one for moaning or putting bad reviews but feel I need to address this restaurant. Firstly bring back the old owners who actually knew what they wer doing we as a family have been going to this takeaway for years and am afraid to say am never going again, twice now the meals have been awful, poppadoms taste so fatty, chicken chat was so spicy, bread that came with it rock hard, buttered chicken which is on the mild dishes was like a BHUNA extra hot not good at all the last time we ordered and was disappointed just put it down to a different chef but NO even worse this time after year's of getting are take away from here am sorry to say I won't be returning ever

Service was standard ordered a Beef korma and Lamb chilli special. Korma was extremely spicy 🥵 not what it should of been. Korma is supposed to be mild with coconut milk but instead it made me sweat. Naan bread was very cake like and the mushroom rice was extremely hot. Onion bhajis where the only thing that was heat free. I wouldn’t go again

Disappointed! Missing food from our collected order. Phoned to let them know, they didnt even ask what order, what was missing, if we wanted to come back, or get a refund....Cut me off from speaking, with an abrupt "sorry about that" and quickly hung up. Used to like it here but won't be back.

Really really angry they forgot to put my sauce in with my food, the meal was very dry with no sauce, called them to complain and the girl asked if i could go back for it 😂. So whole meal was dry and ruined. Never ordering from here again, if she said ill send someone out with it then i would not be writting this review. Make sure you check your order before leaving.

not at all happy. Having to drive there and back 20mins, You first missed out one curry so we went back and got it, got home to find out the chicken in the missed curry was pink, no one was in your shop so it's not like its was an oops I rushed it. The other curry which should of been hot was sweet🙄 Dunno what's happened to your shop, used to be really nice and for the price of it, it should be. Awful. some wood or something in the korma to. Happy to have a refund if you can provide one, doubtable. The 'contact us' bit on the website doesn't even work so I don't think they even care for customer service standards.

Fantastic Indian Food, Al Amin never disappoints, the quality is always unbelievably good, I have been going to this takeaway for over 20 years I travel from Crosby and I have never had a bad meal ,how do they serve this quality for what they charge,totally recommend this place to anyone looking for top quality food at very realistic prices, thank you for being consistently good

Hi I have visited this take away for many years both myself friends and family however I am asking the public to be aware of overcharging I’m not talking pence but pounds this is without items missing from the order I have challenged the staff who rudely replied with I was moaning in one instance £3.70 over charged this has happened on the last 4 occasions all amounts varied and items missing from order it’s sad this has come to this however the rude response from staff has urged me to make customers aware I certainly will not be returning

Ordered by phone at 5.30pm. Was advised that meal would be ready in 45 minutes. Turned up to collect meal at 6.15pm. Meal was presented to me at 7.13pm. Totally unacceptable. On the plus side, the food was excellent as usual.

my family been using the AL Amin for over 20 years but the new management do care and far too often food is missing off the order and I went to see the manager he offred to give me my order for free over the phone then changed mind when I arrived and wanted paying in full There are other takeaways that are just as nice ,sadly I will never return to Al Amin shame the old owners where really nice the new ones havent got a clue :(

Excellent food , great customer service always a young lad and girl on the front they r very polite and willing to help you for anything , very chatty and always smiling great atmosphere , someone rang and was missing 1 popadom and give the girl abuse for no reason which I thort was unfair and she still kept calm. She only gives food she didnt add Your bills or pack ur orders it not fair to abuse her they have it well planned busy time they r just front staff should not shout at them and sometime things happen they just give our orders , they r happy and polite and will help u of u speak nicely to them

Awful food. Tikka masala tasted like it had been coated in sugar. Lack of chicken in the chicken korma and also sickly sweet. Watery pilau rice and tasteless naan bread! A real disappointment.

Pedido por teléfono y se nos informó que podemos recogerlo a la hora especificada.El esposo fue a recogerlo y estaba listo cuando llegó.Tuve el chocken rogan josh y fue increíble: la mejor comida para llevar de rogan josh que he tenido en Liverpool, mucho pollo húmedo, cebollas y pimientos y una salsa realmente sabrosa.El marido tenía el curry tikka de pollo sencillo.El arroz frito con huevo estaba delicioso. . buen tamaño y pedimos solo una porción para compartir.Comí poppadoms eith chutny para comenzar y mi esposo tenía kebab mixto (pollo - sheek kebab y cebolla bajee) para comenzar y una porción de cordero samosa para compartir, todo estaba delicioso.

Probaré en otro lugar la próxima vez. Como la comida que obtuve fue terrible, Lamb Balti simplemente no alcanzó la calidad necesaria, el arroz Pilau estaba bien, el Garlic Nan fue el peor que he probado, estaba demasiado cocido y seco, sin sabor y frescura.

Esperé más de 1 hora para que la llamada telefónica de recolección tuviera que sonar cuando llegué a la tienda, la gente estaba entrando y siendo atendida. Sobrecargado por 2. 70 p en la factura. La comida era buena, pero usaría otro indio que ofrece y es honesto con los precios.

I loved this Indian takeaway and have been ordering from here for the past 20yrs even though they don't deliver however on the past couple of occasions I have had to correct them (A. for over charging me for food I had not purchased or received and (B. When I got home my order wasn't complete.... Naughty when your foods left cold at home to return to collect what should have been in the bag in the first place

Just a good honest old-school Indian takeaway. I ordered a mixed tandoori main, with garlic and coriander naan, and collected after 20 minutes. The food was lovely and everything was just as expected. I've heard good things about this place in the past, and will be returning for more food in the future.

Intenté contactarlos varias veces para hacer un pedido por teléfono y las 3 veces que recibí el teléfono me cortaron la mitad de mi pedido varias veces. Fui a pedirlo y fue un servicio muy rápido y la comida principal era de muy alta calidad. Sin embargo, el ajo naan que pedimos estaba realmente quemado y no era comestible, lo cual fue decepcionante, ya que pensé que el personal debería haberlo echado un vistazo y ponerlo en la papelera. Comida encantadora, pero prefiero probar en otro lugar antes de volver.

Was recommended this place from one of the girls in work and didn't disappoint whatsoever. Very quick with cooking and the meals are fantastic. Ordered the chicken tikka chicken pieces and the sauce separate with pilau rice and it was gorgeous. Definitely recommended!

Drove from Moreton Wirral for a anniversary meal from the al amin in warbreckmoor aintree 2 tandoori mix 2keama rice and a keama naan got home still hot and the food was so nice it was well worth the journey. Well done al amin for bringing the memories back. Great food.

Pedimos indio para algo diferente y me alegro mucho de haberlo hecho.La comida era deliciosa. Todo estaba lleno de sabor y las raciones eran bastante grandes también.Recomiendo encarecidamente el puré de gambas con mantequilla!Para los principiantes, la comida principal y el arroz tienen un poco menos de 30 y la calidad de la comida bien valió la pena.Definitivamente voy a volver.

Located near by Al Amin is a very good Indian takeaway. The Onion bhaji is excellent, and all curry’s great value.

Used to be decent,unfortunately some of the meals just consist of far too much water. Sadly will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Difficult to find a good ruby around the L9 area these days.

Terrible customer service!! Spent £30 and when I arrived home the meals where all wrong. When I phoned they said they where closed and that the boss had went home and to ring back in 5 minutes after they'd spoken to him. I tried ringing back after 5 minutes and nobody picked the phone up. I called back today to be told that there was nothing they could do as the menu states what the meals are and that they where closed last night when I rang so they wouldn't change the meals!! Absolutely disgusting. Will be advising people not to go there!!!

The meals from the Al Amin are beautiful. I have never had a poor meal from here. All of my family advise everyone to go here.

Having read some reviews I agreed that this place has totally changed. 4 or so years ago this was best in northwest. I moved out of the area and came back 2 years ago to fine very poor food indeed. from 10/10 to 3/10. However, i gave it another chance yesterday with a large family meal for 4 and it was back up to 8/10. Much better! Give this place another go! - Word of advice though.... the curries are hotter than at most places! But good! Dave S and Family...

This used to be one of the best in the area. Just tried to eat one of the worst takeaways ever. The Peshwari Nan was literally inedible as it was dried out and semi burnt cardboard. The Rogan Josh was just a mush of ingredients that had absorbed all the liquid. Scouse is best the day after when the gravy and ingredients have merged. A proper curry should not be like scouse as it should have some separation of its solid ingredients and oils within the sauce. Never been so disappointed with a takeaway.

Cardboard is a generic term for the chicken served by this takeaway joint, excessive use of food colouring and too hot to handle. Make sure you have lots of Alcohol before you try this take it away food. Simply terrible and not worth a visit to this "trusted one" as "Al Amin" means.
