Badly designed dishes that pretend to be original but they are no where near that. They are unhealthy and do not taste well. One would expect better with high price tag on each miserly portioned dishes. It is seriously over rated for sure. In contrast to food quality and portions the service is good and waiters are pleasant.

Food was ok but nothing particularly tasty . It was a bit lacklustre. The bread was disappointing and whilst the service was friendly it’s not terribly compftable.

Out for a stroll after flying in from Australia that afternoon, we saw this place and made an excellent decision to see if they could fit our adult family of six in. The front of house lady and gent were delightful and found a solution. We sat upstairs and were taken care of by a really helpful young lady, who explained everything and helped us choose. It was our first Palestinian food experience. We loved everything. Fresh with amazing flavour. Bread and dips, 4 small plates, 3 large plates and desserts. The perfect start to our trip. Thank you!

Very enjoyable meal. Very distinctive food. Very tasty. Good friendly service. The grilled cheese was particularly tasty. As was the grilled cabbage - never knew this veg could be so tasty. My wife enjoyed the lamb neck. I stole a bit and understand her enjoyment of the dish. My chicken dish was creatively presented and very enjoyable. I have never seen baklava presented in this way. And my Hilbeh Baba was simialrly creative and delicious. Finally, I once tried Taybeh beer in an East Jerusalem restaurant so was delighted to enjoy it again. It travels well. You sim ply have to go to enjoy the hospitality and meal

As lovers of Middle Eastern food, we were much looking forward to dinner at Akub. Sadly, the food just didn't live up to expectations. The monkfish was tasty but at £14 for six tiny slices was wildly overpriced. The rest of the food was either surprisingly bland (the moutabal was distinctly average as was the famed freekah risotto), or unappealingly stodgy (the shish barak was incredibly dry). For the first time ever in a Middle Eastern restaurant, we ended up leaving food as it just wasn't that enjoyable. The restaurant itself is very atmospheric over three floors of a very nicely furnished building, but they've certainly packed the tables in so it did feel rather tight. Service was swift and efficient though our waitress on the top floor was rather loud and you could hear her voice talking to other diners above the general din. The bill (with just one glass of wine and no other drinks) was £120 which we felt was pretty overpriced for the standard of food. Overall a disappointing culinary experience. Will head back to The Palomar next time for a Middle Eastern fix instead.

We were there at 6.30pm on a Friday, so were probably able to enjoy a more peaceful meal than if we'd arrived later. The wait staff were so attentive and explained all the dishes. Portions were just right, though we should have ordered some vegetable sides to go with our mains. The food was delicious and authentic, and we found it a great choice for a mid-price restaurant (about £130 for two if us, including a drink each). Reassuringly shortly short menu but with good variety

We had a lovely dinner at Akub. We’re familiar with Middle Eastern kitchen, but not specifically Palestinian - the staff talked us through the menu, the dishes and made some excellent recommendations. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful, food delicious and the staff very friendly. Strong recommendation if you don’t mind paying a bit more. (£150 for two and not much alcohol consumed)

It is my second visit to Akub the first being last year but my first for their brunch. And like last time it didn’t disappoint. The food is absolutely amazing I can’t get over the flavour my taste buds were exploding with delight. Each mouthful is a journey into a wonderful taste experience, each dish is unique and I wanted more of everyone I had. The staff couldn’t have been more delightful, welcoming and polite willing to answer any question I had and had the knowledge to explain each dish. I can’t wait to go back and have another food experience.

Went here with two friends and so glad they picked this restaurant as I wouldn’t have picked it myself. As we weren’t familiar with the menu we asked the friendly staff what they suggested, he asked if we had any food allergies and if we liked spicy food and then he suggested for him to order on our behalf and thank goodness he did! Mind you he nearly ordered the whole menu but my goodness what a fest it was! Every bite was full of flavor. For me the star of the show was the short rib fatteh, as soon as I took that first bite…holy sh!t!! It was amazing!! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back! I’ve told everyone about this hidden gem! I wish them all the success! Also, posting a photo of the bill because you need to order everything we had, it was SO GOOD and a lot more flavorful than the Michelin star meal I had a few weeks after this meal.

I don't know how I found this restaurant but so glad I did. This meal was one of the best we had on our three week tour of eating through Europe. The restaurant is on a beautiful side street off the main road. When we got there, the staff was so accommodating to my unique yet common allergy. They provided recommendations and did not steer us wrong in any way. Every single thing we ate was amazing. I genuinely cannot wait to go back for more.

Had a wonderful meal here for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was wonderful, they have done a great job with the decor and lighting. Very enticing when you look in from outside. Service was exemplary throughout, the staff were friendly, courteous and on hand to answer any questions about the menu. The food was amazing - the crunchy mansaf was a real surprise! The beetroot squash dumplings were also a favourite. Wonderful flavours and beautifully presented. This is up there with one of my favourite meals in London, thanks for a lovely experience!

This is a family business and they so clearly take pride in their baking and their products. You will not be disappointed. Another thing is, they will deliver for you at a very reasonable charge unless it is extremely far away. Whenever we need anything delivered in London, it's always from Brownie Box. Don't miss their blondies!

First, the service is always fantastic. Friendly staff who are never too busy to stop and have a conversation with the customer. The coffee is much better than what you'll find from a high-street chain and the food is homemade and healthier. Recently they have also ventured into stone baked pizzas and even make their own bread on site. Gluten-free and vegan options also available. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. 5 Stars all around!
