Recently moved in to the area and without a doubt the best food I’ve had in a while, staff are lovely and make you feel welcome alongside prices being more than affordable, highly recommend to everyone!

I ordered a cheese burger and the cheese was nowhere to be seen. Super dry, I work really hard to feed my stomach but the food was a big let down.

Disappointed as everytime I order, the staff sound depressed and the order comes to me incorrect, ask for sauce in a pot and get nothing and the salad portions are rational? I’m a loyal customer here on collection but your delivery portions are ridiculous. The lamb shish was drier than the Sahara Tipping your delivery drivers and receiving food like this is a huge slap in the face

I've been ordering from here for a few weeks now and everytime weather day or evening the food is always fresh.. food is absolutely lovely here always turns up on time and always polite

Sadly not that great.... Donner was cut thick and not cooked properly..... chips really soggy... nuggets all wet... only thing nice was salad 🤦‍♀️

Have been ordering from aksu for a few years and it was our favourite takeaway but the last few times the kebabs are so cold and cold fat on the meat, not a pleasant treat anymore.

What a lovely atmosphere at Aksu Kebab restaurant, high street Cheshunt. Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming, the kebab dishes are simply the best that I have had so far! Believe me! Their large portion sizes can feed an entire family. And quite cost effective too. Their meal deals are simply worth it. If you have not been to this lovely, warm welcoming restaurant, what are you waiting for? They offer free home delivery as well. But, if, like me, you prefer to go in, a very warm welcome from their cheerful, courteous staff awaits you ! Enjoy! 😊

Amazing food but no convenient to eat in

This (used) to be my go to takeaway! Ever since it was taken over by new owners the standards have dropped so bad. Ther are many kebab shops in Cheshunt I would avoid aksu :)

I can't understand these bad reviews.Ive been getting takeaways for 5 years from here.They are without doubt the best kebabs in cheshunt.Also has a 5 star hygiene rating.That tells you all you need to know.

Ordered from this this evening and my god what an absolute shambles staff on the phone are so rude my first attempt of payment didn’t go through so I asked for a receipt of payment not going through the answer I got was “No” . My order was ordered at 7PM and it was stated on the phone it will be with me in 30-40 minutes when calling numerous times all I got was lied to saying it will be there in 5 minutes. 8:30 my order was delivered by a rude deliver driver who basically threw the food at me and walked off. After all of this my food was stone cold so soggy that my lamb wrap and chips was not edible and was throw in the bin . I don’t know if the old owner have sold up but since they haven’t be there Aksu has gone down hill. Such a shame.

Just ordered a shish kebab. And to be honest im annoyed at myself. I normally go to Mega and its so flaversom and delicious i have not had a good kebab like that for years but for some bizzar reason i thought i woukd trust the reviews on google which brought me to this place with the highest reviews and my goodness what a bland experience i dont think i have had a kebab so bland so tasteless in all my life i spent over 8 pounds on it to taste nothing. The satisfaction is nil. I wont be going back.

This was a takeaway order for delivery and all food was very dry and severely over cooked. Ordered Garlic Sauce as part of option on kebab but none on there. Paid for 2 Chilli sauce pots but none received. Business had been sold 10 months ago and the new owners have destroyed it with buying cheap meet and they certainly don't know how to cook either. THey also take your money for extras but don't provide the goods....Thieves! Never again will I pay a penny for their disgusting food!!

Fast and friendly service with great food

We were a party of 8 and ordered a takeaway. When it arrived, none of the food we'd ordered tasted very nice, but we ate some as we'd paid a lot of money collectively for our food. We'd never bought food from Aksu before, so we all agreed to try it. We all had variations of kebab meat, chicken, and Donner. That night, all 8 of us had sickness and diarrhoea. We'd all not had anything else apart from food from Aksu, so we can only put it down to their food. Would eat or order food from there again !

One of the best kebab shops in the area. Kebabs always been on point and theyre the only shop that doesnt charge a ridiculous £15 for a wrap.

SADLY WAS SOLD LAST NOVEMBER. FOOD IS NOW AWFUL, CHEWY MEAT NOT LIKE THE HANDMADE WAY IT WAS. I WOULD SAY THIS IS NOW THE WORST IN THE AREA WONT BE USING AGAIN AS THROWN TOO MUCH AWAY TONIGHT AS UNEDIBLE!!! First time trying this place tonight and boy am I pleased that I did. Have tried all the others in the Cheshunt area over the years and I can truly say as others have that this is by far the best in the Cheshunt area. I am kicking myself that I hadn't tried Aksu Kebab earlier!! Ordered a large lamb doner and I have to say that it was a pleasure to order as the staff are very pleasant and friendly. On opening at home I was amazed at the portion size, which compared to other places is very generous. Finally a place where a large portion truly lives up to what you would expect...and cheaper than the local competitors too, win win! Then there is the taste test. OMG the meat is so soft, juicy and tender and tastes delicious. You really can tell that this is homemade compared to the meat the others sell. Cooked through to perfection and no overcooked hard bits. Also the bottom of the tray was grease free unlike others I've had that sometimes seem to be swimming in grease. I can certainly say that if you haven't tried this place before then make sure you do as you will not be disappointed and will be back for more like I will be very soon. Ok, so thought an update is in order 8 months on. i have to confess that i use Aksu regularly and it never disapoints . The food is just as good as the first time i tried this and service is still outstanding and friendly. Usually with takeaways you occasion get a bad meal but here it is tasty and i have to say perfect everytime. i would continue to recommend this place to anyone and Aksu is definately the best in the area.

2 hours late delivery called up after an hour and 15 minutes to be told our order is out for delivery.... chips are like cardboard and burger is stone cold... tastes awful, never again

Cold chicken doner . Unacceptable

Have order from them on many occasions but tonight was an absolute joke! Order was on time but when we open it my partners had loads of parsley on which he doesn’t eat and this has never been such an issue before when ordering the same kebab. I called them to complain and they shouted down the phone that it is always been like that (if that was the case I would make I would say I didn’t want it) they then turned round and said what do you want me to do about it and when I asked for another to be delivered he shouted that it always comes like that! To which he got a very lovely response from myself! They had made mistakes on prior orders but nothing every this bad! Think staff need to be trained how to deal with customers and management need to either be re-trained or find another job! 1 star is a polite rating to say the least! They should be grateful for the custom with the cost of living going up takeaways are a treat and tonight our treat was ruin.

Food is no longer fresh, we had some Doner Kebabs recently and the meat tasted sour which would indicate it’s off. All went in the bin. Will not be returning here!

Dreadful place!! Definitely changed hands in the last 6 months as we’ve had takeaways from here for the last few years and never a problem! Had a takeaway a few weeks ago and thought the staff looked different! Food was ok! Decided to give it another go yesterday Friday evening and what a palaver! Two mixed kebabs we ordered with all salad and sauces on side! Went for collection… got it home and 1 had all the salad with sauces all poured over and other had NO salad anf NO sauces! Rang up and a very NOT helpful lady says it’s easy to forget people’s orders!! Really!! You run a takeaway!! Dreadful customer service with NO apologies!! Lost another customer!!! Don’t recommend at all!!!

I ordered chicken burger and chips. I couldn’t eat the chicken burger as it was leftovers I believe because it was dry and hard and warm. Not HOT! I went into the shop to buy as well so it wasn’t delivered. I’m very disappointed as I couldn’t eat the burger and had to throw it away.

Best kofte kebab in and around London. I've tried it in a few places, but Aksu Kebab are making it super-fresh and it tastes very natural. Also, they have the only real garlic sauce, as it tastes truly garlicky unlike anywhere else! UPDATE 01/03/2023: Have been to this place again yesterday after a 3 year break (moved employment location), and I must say that quality is definitely still there and the interior is even better now, so they have actually improved over the years!

I absolutely love this place! It's by far some of the BEST food I've eaten and the price is fantastic. Even relocating over 10 miles away I will still find a way to come here for food than anywhere else. The staff are also fantastic, so friendly and always happy. If you're gonna try anywhere you HAVE to try this place

So gutted this is only a 2 star rating. The food is totally 5 star but gutted about the service. Ordered large mixed with chips and 2 medium doner with chips one with salad and one without. Drove home and got 1 large doner and chips and 1 medium with chips and salad. My sons not impressed as he's got nothing to eat. Too far to drive back so not really an option. Gutted as the food is amazing and fresh.

We ordered our food when it came it was cold and the order was wrong. When calling the shop the lady was very rude and told us she will fix the order but she didn't know when or how long. I would never order from this place again. Don't do it no worth the money or the wait!!!!

Ordered for collection, confirmed my order when I walked in to the shop. Made to wait 15 mins even though my food was ready. Food wasn't hot but still warm, no problem I thought. Then realised the salad was wrong and chilli sauce was missing. I called, got an apology but no offer of replacement which is not on. Basically what ordered and paid for was not what you gave me. You need to improve on your customer service guys, we can all make mistakes but when you have an opportunity to rectify it, you should at least make an attempt

Well This Kebab Aksu special 1 what else can I say this is an amazing experience I tried it first time after the new management. I have been told that the head chef from the old team is still there and instructing the new team so everything is top-notch, was an amazing meal with the family. Thank you guys at Aksu :)

Always used aksu, food was always good. Thought we'd try under new management, unfortunately wont be going back there. Chips were soggy and didnt look freshly cooked. Meat wasnt well done as requested. Asked for salad separate and the salad didnt even turn up. Wouldnt recommend im afraid

Put chilli sauce on my food without having it requested.

Food was good but missed so many bits of salad off of the kebabs. Guy serving your food likes to rub his mouth a lot and then handle your food without washing his hands. Asked if my food was ready and got no response only to ask someone different 5 minutes later and find out it been sitting there all along. Normally really good food and service maybe avoid on a busy night.

I have used this restaurant for a long time now and the kebab is usually good but tonight asked to have salad separate when we got home the salad was a joke and why they always try try to get away with not giving you the coleslaw amazes me I am definitely going to try another kebab shop

The food came it was cold and there was hair in the food. My partner and i complained. The abuse from the staff was unprecedented. Thry were talking over me when i tried to explain we are regular customers but wouldnt hear me out nor would they listen to my partner. Really abusive and obnoxious staff. Never again. Stay well away. Dont waste your money. Far better places for a takeaway in the area

We always get kebabs from Aksu but tonight it was delivered and I wasn’t pleased, my chicken donor was hard and crispy when usually it’s soft and moist, a waste of £8.50, really disappointed

Great kebabs here been going here for years but lately with the burgers it's just too much sauce on both sides of the bun. Burger Bun breaking apart couldn't eat it in the end was a mess! I wanted to taste burger not burger sauce and soggy wet bun. Some may like this some may not.

Just delivered… dry lamb donner , probably was first on order , their don’t care to cut first skin and bin it, their sell it to you!!! Don’t be next!!

This Kebab restaurant is fantastic. It’s a whole family run business from Mum, Dad and their children . I started going here from the start of the first lockdown and we have always had 5🌟service from this shop & family . Food is always good . We placed a large order last night for home delivery for the first time , it was around 10 kebabs etc and it arrived in 40 mins . That was so fast and the food was spot on delicious ! Highly recommend this place if I could give 10🌟 I would indeed .

The food was perfect and very cheap, my only criticism is that they packed the chips in to polystyrene burger box, which makes your chips sweat, so I opened the box to drive them home lol.. Great food, will be visiting/ordering again.

I ordered the aksu special as I hadn’t been feeling well. This is a Wednesday at 6 pm I placed the order. It arrived at 7.20 pm COLD!!!! Had the order been sitting around before delivery, it’s a while for food to get cold. Very very disappointed, won’t be ordering from here again.

Having moved to the area recently I thought to try this kebab shop as the reviews were slightly better than the others that were in proximity. So I tried my luck and ordered a combination chicken shish and lamb doner with chips and salad. To my surprise, the food was cold, chips were reheated and hard, salad was soggy and the lamb doner was burnt. Considering that this was my first time I had ordered from them, this will also definitely be my last. So if anyone is looking for substandard food that deserves its place in the bin, then feel free to order from this kebab shop. It’s shocking and disgusting that a business in this day and age can’t even get the basics right and choose to continue to serve the working public this DOG MESS excuse of a meal. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Food used to be great, but as of late most of my deliveries arrive cold and bland. Plus when I have asked for specific choices on my order it gets ignored and the opposite is delivered. Will not use again unfortunately.

Really good kebab decent price. We ordered the Aksu Special 1 for £18. It was ready in 15min and when we got there the staff were friendly and the place appeared clean. I recommend this kebab takeaway.

The reasons we decide to leave 2 stars are that we were waiting for our take away a bit over an hour when we were told it would be only 30 min , when tried to call back after 1 hour the phone was either busy or someone would pick it up and hung up straight away . We had to call from different number to find out that order will be delivered shortly . Also food was hardly warm , I think it was extremely disappointing as we wanted hot meal and because it wasn’t warm it felt greasy . On positive side there were a lot of food we have ordered 2 portions , but didn’t finish 1 portion between 2 of us . It was huge , but it doesn’t come with garlic or chilli sauces as other kebabs we ordered.

Asked for no onions in salad 🥗 but got onions which was also put with chicken in pitta the salad made the pitta go mushy and soaky not great. Chicken was dry and taste less. Ordered did take what they said 1 HR

Ordered online took over an hour to come with a phone call to chase it up. I ordered a chicken shish wrap with salad and coleslaw. I got a very mushy chicken shish with chilli sauce all over it with no tomatoes or cucumber or coleslaw with very little chicken. My partners wrap was slightly better however the rice was put in the wrap. Very poor. Will not be using them again.

I have been using Aksu for the last 2 years. Their levels of quality have have always been the same. Very high. The food is tasty and believe me I have had most things the menu offers. My order was slightly wrong once but the delivery guy was back immediately not affecting our meal at all. The staff are always friendly and the food is always good. A tip…..I don’t really go for chicken wings but they do the best and tastiest chicken wings. All around brilliant service, food and people. I can’t recommend them enough.

I ordered a family take away and was looking forward to my chips with burger sauce. I was very disappointed when all the chips arrived with nothing on them and called to complain. The lady apologised for the misunderstanding and said she would send some sauce out. I was not expecting her to send out just sauce with out the need of ordering anything else but she did and they really didnt take long to come. So customer service is fantastic. On another note the food. I absolutely enjoyed my burger. Could not have been any juicier. The only doen side was that they had run out of spicy chicken wings. We had the last few they had and my kids and I loved them. Will definitely be ordering from there again.
