Akash Tandoori Take Away in Flintshire

Not sure what has changed here but food quality has gone down the pan lately. I ordered my favourite, a chicken tikka Madras and instead of the usual great quality food I got a watery tasteless dish of tomato purée, none of the usual heat, spice and flavour. Ended up in the bin and I won’t be returning. Prefer to travel and if necessary pay a bit more than suffer this slop

Order for collection got home pilau rice missing! Said it hadn’t been ordered so went back for pilau rice! Had ordered peshwari naan completely tasteless no filling! Tikka masala was mainly watery sauce with hardly any chicken! Will not be ordering again, very disappointed especially for the price!!

Kenny recommended this place and I couldn't complain about anything staff are easy to get on with and with what food I've had it's the best in Blackpool 20/10 guys keep up the good work in this tough times 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Lovely food, with great balance of spices. Friendly and efficient delivery service. Value for money. We will definitely be ordering again.

Usually a very good takeaway, however on this occasion the portions were smaller than usual, salad missing, naan bread wrong, 1 prawn and 1 tiny piece of lamb in a mixed curry. Very disappointed on this occasion!

Unfortunately I tried a naga here for the first time, naga tandoori on menu so I thought go for it! It wasn't hot like it is meant to be, 3 chilli rating, but in reality less than 1,tasted of coconut and tomato, maybe I should have tried the vindaloo but will try and tweak what I have to give it the heat I crave. I can't recommend asking for this dish here, but it's what I normally enjoy.

The staff are professional, courteous and the food is delicious. We went once and have never gone anywhere else.

I use this takeaway on a regular basis staff are always very friendly and curtious. I have never had any long delays on orders and have always been happy with the food they supply. The madras is always excellent and my wife was extremely happy with her tikka masala. The onion rice is our normal and again very tasty. The mixed tandoori was superb along with the garlic nan .. I have no reason to go further than my local Indian the akash for a tasty curry on a weekend.

Staff were friendly but the food wasn’t the best. Asked for chilli garlic tikka masala and very hot, it tastes exactly like a korma! Very coconuty and mild, the chicken was hard, food was cold and rice was all clumpy! Annoyed ive spent £23 on this to go in the bin. Won’t be returning.

New Year’s Eve. My family ( 5 adults and 4 children ) ordered a take away from the Akash. After waiting two and a half hours I went home hungry and tired. Quarter past nine the order was finally ready !. My sons said the food was of very poor quality, nan breads burnt or uncooked !. The curries not good. This order was a few pence short of £100, a total waste of money and our New Year’s Eve ruined. We will Not be ordering food from the Akash again. It seems people waiting were also complaining about the wait for food. The staff were not apologetic, they were totally disorganised. Very bad service and food.

Last two family meals from here were excellent but after tonight we will never go again, it's like they had a rush on, the chips were burnt, I had chicken jalfrezi and normally the sauce was sauce but on this visit it was like mud and really really hot, the Mrs had makni chicken that tasted more like barbecue chicken. Shame really because we thought we'd found the perfect takeaway, but after throwing two thirds of the meal in the bin never again.

This place has always been excellent. We get the set meal for one and it feeds two of us and we are stuffed and still throw loads out. Really good value. We did have one recently that wasn’t quite the same taste as usual but it was still nice and we will definitely still be ordering.

Easy to order online. The bhajis were a highlight- huge and really tasty 😋 We all had different meals, lamb, chicken and vegetable dishes and all were excellent. The rice and naans were also tasty, with a range of different types of both available. Reasonably priced and ready to collect on time. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

My wife and I have regularly used this Buckley takeaway. The staff are friendly and the food, in my opinion, is the best by far in the local area with large portions. I would recommend the place so give it a try.
