We moved to Elgin from England over a year ago and being lovers of SE Asian food, we have tried many local places. This is the place that has become our favourite: excellent service and food in a comfortable environment. Thanks - we will be back of course!

This is an Indian/Bangladeshi licensed restaurant serving Cobra on draught - and a takeaway. Nice decor though it can be dark at one end where there are no windows. Background musack was apparent; modern Asian, perhaps slightly too loud. Service was polite and efficient. Free WiFi is available. I ordered chicken tikka starter with garnish and mint sauceboat followed by lamb tikka Jalfrezie with boiled rice and a chapati. The lamb was very tender and was prepared with peppers, onion, green chillis and coriander. I asked for extra green chillis which were added and not overly hot. Sufficient to get a pleasant capsaicin ‘buzz’. Plates were cleared timously and waiting staff were most attentive. Portion size generous and food well presented. A most pleasant dining experience.

Great for all ages, visited with family and friends for a quick meal. Fantastic service from waitress Sandra and waiter Kuba. Food arrived promptly and tasted amazing as always. I recommend having the Panache Balti.

This was a 10/10 experience I was up in the area for buisness and we decided we was feeling an Indian so me and my colleagues had a few different dishes we tried the goan chicken, fish bhuna and a sholey dish which was lit with a sambuca flame which gave such a nice effect. I would definitely recommend panache, the food and the staff was all lovely and friendly and the service was amazing, very helpful. Will definitely be back 🫶🏽

Overall not a nice experience. The pickle tray to start was nice. The mains then took a long time to arrive. The mains weren’t served together, there was a five minute wait between. Then another five minute wait for the naan bread. The chicken tikka was inedible - it was so dry and hard. We told the waitress and she offered an alternative however due to the time we had already waited, we declined. The biriani wasn’t much better. The peshwari naan was tasteless and very greasy. When paying the bill we were told ‘the chef recommends you don’t have chicken tikka in the future as it is cooked in the oven and will be dry’. We won’t be returning

Attractive restaurant with friendly staff and a comprehensive menu of Asian food. My only gripe was a 50-minute wait from ordering the meal to it being served to us. The staff were effusive with apologies for the delay, but I feel we should have been warned at the outset that there would be a considerable wait to get our food. To finish on a positive, our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were delicious

I live in Hampshire but have been up here for work near Elgin on 8 separate occasions in the last 4 months. Whilst the other Indian restaurants in Elgin were decent (“l found “spice tandoori” very good and much better than the “Qismat”), neither of these can be compared to Panache which was outstanding. Just found the dishes tasted differently than any other Indian restaurant I have been to. Each dish/starter that I tried seemed to be packed with flavour. The menu contained many dishes that I have not even heard of or seen on other menus before. I just wished I found this restaurant at the start and not on my last trip up in Scotland.

This award winning restaurant has excellent food but their consistent lack of leadership in the restaurant lets them down. We booked a table online but were told on arrival that we only had 45 minutes to have our meal. Waitress placed the place for main course while we were still eating our starter! This is the second time we have been in here and found the staff to be inexperienced and lacking leadership.

Absolutely fabulous experience at Panache - food was delicious with fantastic service - the whole evening was wonderful from start to finish.

Phoned in order at 7:30 was told 30mins for collection, walked in at 8pm and could see the restaurant was extremely busy for both sit in customers and takeaways but as promised meal was ready!! And what a meal it was probably best curry I have had period, get yourself into Panache for a culinary delight.

We visit this restaurant last night, with friends, during our annual visit to this part of Scotland. We have visited the restaurant for a number of years and have always experienced the reasonably priced food and excellent service. Last night’s experience was possibly the best we have experienced so far. We arrived at at 5.30pm (as per our booking) and by the time we left around 7pm, the restaurant was full with a diverse selection of customers. Thank you to Anne and other members of staff who looked after us. Thanks also to those who prepared and cooked our food, which, as usual, was of the highest standard. It’s little wonder that you have so many awards on show around the restaurant. We will be back!

Well what can I say, it was just awesome. I went on Xmas day as a treat for myself as I live alone and rather than the shopping and cooking Xmas dinner trauma I opted as pre planned take away. I did contact them via email to check they were open on Xmas day and they promptly replied with a yes. Open from 1-7pm. Woo hoo happy days. So I pre ordered online and walked up ( only 15 minutes walk for me and I was greeted warmly and also heartily surprised by how many others were there eating in and waiting for takeout. The smell was amazing and atmosphere of happy diners. My takeout arrived 5 minutes later and off I skipped eagerly home. I ordered starter with main ,kebab for starter and chicken tikka naga morich for main it is a hot dish but doesn’t blow your head off it just melts in your mouth and is super tasty. Pilau rice,and the peshwari nan is just to die for,super tasty. I have friends at work who lament about the peshwari nan it just sends the meal into a different world. Pickle tray is always worth the extra as it accomplishes the meal perfectly. So all in all, great value as treat and takeout. There were no added charges by the way just the same as you would pay on any other day, well that was the case for the takeout. So highly recommended and the portions were perfectly balanced thanks for the food and the experience.

Superb local restaurant. We’ve eaten here many times before and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend the king prawn purée as a starter! Can’t wait to return

Terrible experience ended up getting Food Poisoning, I contacted restaurant but only got rude replies and no apology which is all I really wanted I have been many times but now will definitely not recomend

Lovely meal out at Christmas with family, good food, good service, friendly staff. However, the set price menu for Christmas was exorbitantly priced. We looked at the usual menu afterwards and discovered that if we had just paid normal prices for the food and drinks we had it would have been about £120 for the whole meal, however, with the set price available for Christmas it was £260. More than double the cost. I would definitely go again for normal prices, but not for the holiday season set menu price. Still in shock.

We come here as a couple every 6 weeks or so, but last night we brought some of the ( grown up) family. It would be fair to say they were bowled over by the food. We had 5 different main courses, each distinctive and very tasty. Can’t remember which one was described as the “best curry in the world”, which is tempting fate, but it was certainly up there. Also a special mention for the coconut rice. If Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi food is your thing, look no further.

I was visiting from Birmingham with my family on holiday and we came across this Indian restaurant like a few minutes away from our hotel. And I tell you what it was the best choice we could’ve picked, because the food was amazing top standard and the service was immaculate. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Considering all the places we had tried in Elgin it was definitely the best.

Ordered an online takeaway and delivery and am wowed by the service and quality of food; got a quick call after ordering confirming details, prices and delivery instructions (also agreed to call me after driver had left). Food arrived hot and smelling lovely; the best Dahl I have had outside of India, my wife’s Bombay potato the best she’s ever had. Watch out, big portions though! Lovely experience

My husband and I eat here all of the time (we even had our wedding meal here!). Always fantastic service and amazing food. We often bring friends and family for meals here when they visit and I could not recommend it enough. We had dinner there tonight and it was amazing as always. I tried the Bahar tonight which was amazing, but still always recommend the Pallak, it’s always fantastic. Best Indian restaurant in Elgin by miles.

We always know what to expect at Panache as food and service are both fantastic every time. Consistency is everything and Panache provide just that so it’s always an easy decision where to eat.

Myself and a group of friends visited panache last night for my friends birthday, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Can’t recommend it enough!

The food from here was absolutely spot on dined here in the past but right now with restaurant being shut we can still have a splendid meal taken away and yet again can’t complain the nan’s are so light fluffy and crispy and Goan chicken is soo tasty never had a bad meal yet. Keep up the good work

Hi,I used the app for the first time today and its excellent very easy to use.Went to collect at the time I pick and was delighted it was just coming out right on the minute allocated.Great food and great service, very highly recommended.Use the app much easier than teying to get through on the phone.

Very good online ordering system, unfortunately that is where the positives end! I ordered from here as they had the shortest waiting time, however as soon as I submitted the order I received an email adding another 25 mins on but when I went to collect the order, I was another 20 mins waiting on the food. On getting it home I have to say it was the worst Indian meal I have ever had and definitely will never be going back to Panache. Honestly, don't waste your money. We usually go to Elgin's top Indian restaurant and will never bypass them again. Poor service, poor food, poor show Panache!

Shall not be returning to Panashe after this awful service. Placed order was told it would be 25 minute wait, 1 hour later still no food. Kept getting told “it will be 5 minutes” staff were rude to each other and swearing coming from kitchen heard out in waiting area. Total disaster! Had to ask for refund and no apology given. If you can’t cope with the orders don’t take more and more orders simple!

Busy at the weekend when we visited so great atmosphere - service quite slow for main dishes but staff attentive and kept drinks flowing! All meals delicious and a complimentary liqueur to finish.

Since my friends and I had planned to visit panache we was excited,some of friends heard some positive and negative reviews about this place,to be honest soon we stepped in the staff was so welcoming nice decor small restaurant and busy great atmosphere food was great best indian we ever had.

Ordered a takeaway through the phone staff could not be anymore helpful, arrived to collect our takeaway and was ready on arrival. Me and my family couldn’t recommend this place enough food was still piping hot by the time we got home, curry’s were full of flavour and nans tasted very fresh. We also got complimentary papdoms which were very fresh also. We absolutely love this place best Indian we have ever had!!

My father really loves Indian food and his favourite place to eat is this restaurant by far, we always go out for meals here as it’s a family favourite! Always have great food and great service, no complaints, such an excellent place. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Will return as always !

We came over to Scotland on our holidays last month all the way from USA and tried all the Indians in Elgin etc spice tandoori quismat and also panache, as a Asian it’s about Asian food 100% agree panache food & service is way better than any of the Indians we tried. Don’t have a single complaint, their is always to sides to a story and will back panache the full way. The staff is so polite and helped us with anything we needed and food was to die for. Keep up the good work guys.

I had been with my mum and sister a few weeks a go and it was amazing and they were lovely so I suggested to my work mates that it would be lovely to go here for our Xmas lunch. I have never been so embarrassed and disappointed. The food was cold and went back twice and even then it was luke warm. Was not offered coffee and icecream that went with the lunch. When I booked the table they were very lovely and said it was absolutely fine we were going at 130pm. They started hoovering while we were eating. When we went to pay, he said it was our fault that we never asked for the coffee and that they had stayed late for us, I said the reason it took longer was because the food was cold. He totally tried to blame us and it was our fault!!!!!! Ridiculous and very unprofessional and still charged us full price. And put a post it note in an envelope with “you’s are not welcome at panache anymore, from panache. Wtf????

Booked a table online and didn’t have it down when we arrived. Had a takeaway previously with same issue. Had to sit and wait for a table and it would’ve went a long way to simply be offered a drink for their mistake. No complaints over the food just thought it a bit pricey for what we had and didn’t get a breakdown to double check. Tried to pay with a gift card but no one had a clue how to use it and we’re too busy to look into it properly so ended up paying by other means so kind of defeated the purpose. Has went rapidly downhill since last visit in the summer.

Came here for lunch and there was only three tables with customers. We were in for over an hour and in that time had a starter and a drink. Then the main course came and my order was wrong by the time I got my main course naan was cold so.was the rice. Then went to pay and was overcharged won't be back

This is now under the name Panache. I went there for my Christmas meal with my work colleagues, 9 of us altogether. Unfortunately the food was cold and had to be sent back twice. The third time the food was warm at best but we were too uncomfortable to say again so we ate what we could. We had booked for 1330 but as they usually close at 1400 they said that was fine as we were a big party. While eating they began to clean around us and Hoover, we have pictures. They also turned off the heating and the music. After our main meal we should have had coffee and ice cream, we didnt get but still charged us for it. We did comment about this but the staff argued and was very rude, even shouted. Once we had paid, nearly £200, we were handed an envelope with a post it note stating 'yous are not welcome in Panache again". This is not really a problem as not one of us will be back.

Without a doubt the best curry house we have had. Arrived on a very very busy sat night,they had no tables available and told us to take a seat and gave us drinks. Within 10 minutes they managed to sort a table for us, staff was so nice to us and gave us plenty attention even though they were rushed of their feet since the minute we stepped in the door, very professional I must add also' drinks and popdoms came out promptly popdoms were fresh,once food arrived now this is when things got real just the spices and the taste of freashness it was so delicious you could definitely taste every spice added into the currys. both currys tasted completely different 'which is rare as we have visited alot of places and their currys are usually the same taste' beautiful restaurant inside with good view, no wonder the have won multiple awards best curry house we have tasted & will definitely be spreading the word!

Got a nice welcome from Anne got shown to our table quickly. Got our orders taken quickly and got our food and it was very good. Overall it was a good night and the place was busy. Would return here again.

Being regulars in another place we Thought we would give this a try to see what all the fuss was about, table was booked a week in advance, got there 5 minutes early to be told our table wouldn’t be long, 5 minutes later we were asked to sit in the waiting area and a drinks order was taken and we were given menu’s, all going well, then the drinks arrive, of the 5 ordered, 1 was missing and one was wrong, we let staff know, wrong drink was corrected but missing drink still hadn’t arrived, had to contact staff again to get it, we got it eventually, we had then been sitting for 30 minutes no staff came near us so we thought 5 more minutes but nothing, I understand it was busy but very disappointed as we booked as specific time as one of the party had to work afterwards, we informed staff we couldn’t wait any longer and left, a staff member did come out after us and asked us back and offered to give us 50% of the bill but it was still full so had no idea where he was going to sit us and we couldn’t wait any longer

One of my husbands and mine fav restraints in Elgin to visit on our monthly date nights, unfortunately when we first arrived they were fully booked and didn’t have a table but we went away and came back and waited in t he lounge with a drink being being seated.

My wife and I came to this restaurant for dinner , staff very attentive with us and helped us with the menu! Service was good staff were all professional, food arrived and I can honestly say this has been the best curry house we have been to , every flavour you can taste , atmosphere was good will 100% be back here and will be recommending to family & friends.

Had a meal in the Panache last night. The food was great and the service provided by Anne was exceptional. My mate went for vegan options as he doesn’t like meat in him and was also very happy with his food.

Very disappointing. My wife had chicken mama special and I had a ginger chicken. The dishes looked and tasted almost identical, bland and lacking any rich flavour. Described as medium hot, I’m afraid they weren’t. I can’t understand why this restaurant now called Panache won an award for being one of the best in Scotland. Not great and at £40 for 2 pints, 2 mains, 1 naan and a rice, poor value for money.

A very disappointing meal. Had hoped for great things after restaurant one an award earlier this year. Has been rebranded as Panache and won't be going back. Service was fine with plenty of staff. Popadoms were good, but pickles tray contained 3 bowls of very watery and weak sauces and a pleasant onion dish.

Got a nice friendly welcome from Anne and we got taken to our table. The food was very good and the restaurant staff was friendly and approachable. We would come back to this restaurant again soon.

My husband and I popped in later in the evening without a booking last weekend. We had an excellent, tasty array of food that was both fresh and hot. We ordered too much as usual The service and atmosphere was superb and we really enjoyed our night out together.

Me and my family visited this little gem new name panache winners of Scottish curry awards and Asian curry awards 2019 no wonder why because they are best is all the ways soon we arrive we welcome by waiting staff escorted us our table drink and papadoms comes on time but food take little longer but it’s worthy it’s was fresh and tasty me and my family agreed this is the best in uk

Came to Panache on a Thursday evening while on holiday. We were greeted warmly and allowed to pick an place to sit. It was quiet but a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

We visited this restaurant (now panache) on a Friday night and the food was absolutely delicious. One of the best curry I’ve had in a long while.

This restaurant is now renamed Panache and we visited on a wet lunchtime a couple of months ago. Our visit was the first for us since the namechange and it was surprisingly quiet considering how well it had recently done in the National Curry Awards, for which it had achieved some good press publicity. We enjoyed our lunch but Elgin is blessed with a couple of other very good Indian restaurants so the competition is tough. We will return.

Arrived at this local beautiful restaurant, as entered was welcomed by a few of the staff (which is always nice) was sat immediately even tho we hadn’t booked and they were busy, papdoms and drinks arrived promptly, papdoms very fresh, as for when the food came, we were not expecting it to be that delicious, both our curry’s were yummy and full of flavour, all round such a great experience! Great food and lovely staff, as for the restaurant was beautiful inside! Will be back 100%

Lovely meal served piping hot and tasting fresh. Poppadums nice and crisp and so delicate. Chicken biryani excellent, accompanied by fresh salad, which was a nice touch. Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Delicious meal tonight aided by the waiter recommending my dish for me, which was very nice as I usually always stick to same curry. One of the nicest curries I’ve had. Highly recommend a meal here.

This restaurant has been renamed with a new menu so I thought I'd give it a go. Disappointing - though I may be in a minority judging by other reviews. Pappadams were not fresh and one a bit stale. I didn't ask for the pickle selection but it was brought anyway. I ordered the herb chicken breast, served on a bed of roasted vegetables, with a tomato sauce and rice. Sounds a bit different and promising but it didn't deliver. Any herbs and spices were swamped by the sweet tomato sauce; I have no idea what was being used to spice the dish. Large chunks of peppers and courgette which may or may not have been prepared that day - hard to tell. Pint of Kingfisher beer was fine, as was the rice. I wasn't surprised that the bill included the pickle selection which I had not ordered, nor touched, so that had to be changed. We continually feel, these days, that if you want good Indian good it's best to make it at home with a good recipe book as it's hard to find anything that looks or tastes authentic.

if you ever wondered what kind of restaurant would be the one for you to experience the taste bud of a life time the taste of bangladesh or the secrets of syhlet, then look no further! i can honestly say me and my fianće have never experienced this level of customer service in such a fabulous surrounding. We were waited on hand and foot by all the staff at every opportunity. There was amazing food, wonderful decor and amazing service! I could go on and on and on but its all been said by everyone.

Ordered a takeaway, set meal for two. Quick delivery, food was hot, plentiful and tasty. Will return.

The food is absolutely excellent and every thing is cooked fresh to order. The staff could not be nicer and nothing is too much trouble. Without doubt, the best curry house I have visited in Scotland and I am really glad it is on my doorstep! A must visit for tourists in the area!

Me and my family nipped in to this beautiful little Indian in Elgin while visiting, staff was very welcoming as we entered, sat us immediately and recommended some dishes to us, keema aloo was one of the dishes we got and it was my far the best curry I have tasted, can’t wait to come back to visit, would definitely recommend.

Perhaps one of the best curry houses I have been to in the Uk. Every dish was was excellent and freshly made.

Really impressed with the presentation and flavour of the food and the staff were incredibly friendly. Restoring Akash (Panache) back to its former glory! A few small service errors were made but this was rectified by epic food, courteous staff and a buttery Chardonnay.

Firstly our order was estimated an hour, then updated to 80 mins then arrived at 120 mins.

second time I have visited, even tho they were very busy they managed to fit us in, place was buzzing with atmosphere, staff was very friendly and recommend some new dishes as they have recently changed their menu, food was so delicious and freshly cooked when it arrived, cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Cannot wait to come back’

First the good, the food is excellent, in fact superb, the waiting staff couldn’t be nicer if they tried, but I suspect they are a victim of their own success. Went tonight, great food and lovely waiting staff, but had to wait nearly 1hr 30mins for our food to come out, this to be honest would stop me from going back again which is a real shame as the food when it came was outstanding. At least offer a free drink or something if it’s going to be this long a wait, we were just under £30 a head which I thought was a bit on the high side.

After confusion with what restaurant we was supposed to meet at (going to the wrong one!), they managed to fit us in even though they was fully booked, couldn’t be more helpful!
