Very good toastie. But limited choice as all that was on the menu were toasties. We asked for glasses for our drinks and got told they had run out of glasses even though there was 6 other people in the cafe. Would recommend though for a light lunch.

Visited for a light lunch as a family of three. Lovely chicken broth, apple pie and cup of tea. The lovely member of staff (sorry I missed your name) was full of tips and ideas for our visit.

A real pleasure to eat here -front of house service was friendly efficient and welcoming and food is excellent. We are supposed to be cycling round Tiree today but we might just stay here and drink lovely Tiree peppermint tea

Lovely food, friendly and helpful service. Went with a bunch of fussy teenagers, each with their own daft demands. All demands (reasonable demands) were sorted.

I called in here a couple of times while I was on the island. Once I had a scone and tea and the other time I had dinner. . For the dinner there was a three-course menu available for £30 (you could have only two courses, if wanted) with a choice of three dishes for each course. The food is homemade and fresh. However, for my taste it was a little too bland and lacked seasoning. The strogonoff was tasty but the vegetables needed a little something added to them. The soup I had for starter was more a puree and again required seasoning.

Friendly staff, amazing food. The waffles were lovely and they even had some gluten free carrot cake which was one of best I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend! Doesn't look much from outside but food is fantastic. A real gem.

Visited today and have to say everything was delicious! Lovely waitress who was worried that we would have a bit of wait as a large group were in but we were happy to wait as we're on our hols and it's currently terrible weather, the wait was worth it! Myself and husband both had the hearty platter, no kids menu but they'll adapt for you so my daughter had the Cajun chicken wrap, couldn't have been fresher with salad leaves picked 5 minutes before. Finished off with warm scone that came with jam and cream and a south African pudding which had us all salivating 😋😋...we were also given some tasters of the other type of south African pudding to take away. I'm away to get the kettle on and we'll be sampling shortly!

We had dropped by one afternoon in hope they'd have a table for us and was met by a lovely gentleman who was so curtious showed us to a table and the food (haddock chowder) was delicious and the scone, cream and jam aswell as the coconut and jam sponge were so yummy. We'd definitely go back for a 2nd helping when we are on tiree.

I call it Debbie's place - you'll know it when you see it! - said several of the locals on Islay. A large group of us visiting the island had spent the morning dotted across it doing various different activities. I'd asked in the brilliant Islay Natural History Trust where locally we could grab lunch and was directed to the Bruichladdich Mini Market. The place itself is run by Debbie, her mum and her sister. It's the ort of place that is the lifeblood of islands the world over - half grocery shop, half cafe - all welcoming. Debbie's sister was in charge when a group of 15 of us rocked up unannounced. This would normally not have been a problem - plenty of outside seating - but that particular day the ferry had been cancelled, along with much of the stock for the shop and cafe. Undeterred the staff there made us feel welcome and pulled together a lunch which went down very well with all - children and adults alike. Think sandwiches and toasties with great coffee and a good choice of cold drinks. They also serve some amazing cakes - I'm told the rocky road was fab, I know the chocolate cake was! Although initially under pressure when we all turned up, the staff seated us happily and we had all eaten within about 15 minutes of arriving.

Visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The setting on the shore of Loch Fyne overlooking the ruin of Castle Lachlan is stunning and we were able to enjoy a bottle of fizz outside our shepherds huts where we would be spending the night. After a late afternoon stroll to the castle ruins we were ready for our dinner. The tasting menu served in the evening is locally sourced and is probably the best I have ever tasted. We chose the wine pairing which was excellent and presented beautifully. After a great nights sleep breakfast is delivered to your accommodation and this is another delight. Cannot fault this place
