Slightly pricey, otherwise perfect

Fantastic visit today, promptly seated and excellent service from Kirstie, she was polite, pleasant and extremely welcoming.

My partner brought me here as a surprise. The atmosphere is lovely, and we were seated by the window with a nice view of the runway with the planes taking off and landing. The food was outstanding, portion sizes were amazing and the quality was top notch. The waitress was lovely and attentive. Although my partner didn’t see the signs and forgot to pay for parking. If you’re coming, make sure to pay for parking. Would definitely be coming back here again for the food and the atmosphere, and we will remember to pay for parking next time.

Landed at Manchester and decided to come straight to the pub, closed with lights off before 9pm, yet advertised as open until 10pm

Just got home after an hour at this busy pub. We walked in and a guy sorting menus asked us if we wanted a table inside or were we going outside. We said table in and straight away he said we haven't got any! Why ask us then!! We went outside and went to get some food. Forget it if you are vegetarian or vegan, not even a veggie burger available. Two small tubs of fench fries cost £7, certainly not value for money and we definitely won't be returning. Take note they charge you to park your car.

I genuinely didn't spot the need to pay for parking (who even thinks of this when visiting a pub!?) Got fined £60 for 21 minute stay. Absolutely disgusting, please improve the signage outside and inside the premises. I won't be returning.

Although we came back from a holiday in Madeira and I thought this was the best meal I've had in a week. If you're near the airport and craving more than just a quick bite, this pub is definitely worth the detour. Perfect for a pre-flight meal or a casual gathering, this place proves that sometimes the best things come in the most unexpected.

The perfect place to go if you have a little aviation geek in tow, or are one yourself! We drove 2 and a half hours just to come here, and it was worth it. The food was great, the service fantastic (thank you Sarah B, you were amazing and looked after us so well!!), and we saw an A380 which was the mission. Easy to park with Ringo, great views, and lots of seating in the garden.

A fun pub to kill a few hours whilst waiting to check in for a flight. Much better if you get a seat in the window to watch the planes coming and going.

Dan and his staff were so fantastic,from the moment we walk in to leaving their just couldn't do anoth for us. The food was fantastic.

Arrived to film my families flight landing and asked if their outdoor space was open when ordering a drink at 4:15 only to be asked to move quite rudely out at 4:30 because they have to close it when it goes dark. Communication and customer service sorely lacking. P.S. silly reply to the review telling me what I already knew whilst doing the bare minimum to address the real issue here. If I could rate 1 star for replying to reviews/complaints I would also do that.

A traditional pub that’s been alright at the edge of the runway for years. Great if you like looking at planes close up but a real friendly pub for meals and drinks too. Great service and very tasty burgers! If you go into the garden to watch the planes then wrap up warm as it can get cold and windy during the winter months. Otherwise stay warm inside with a coffee by the huge windows.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise! Only went because my hubby was waiting for me there after my flight. Thought it would be a bit of ‘pub grub’ but couldn’t be more wrong! From the minute we walked in the staff couldn’t have been better. Friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food…! Wow! Home made, good portions and reasonably priced. This is where he’s gonna be waiting for me in future! 🤣

On a pleasant but very chilly midweek afternoon I called in here to see a few aircraft taking off and landing. I was given a sunny table close to the huge windows allowing for plane watchers like me to see. I ordered a beer and a pepper burger. The burger was nicely presented with a good charred taste. One small fault is the pepper sauce could have a bit more zing and perhaps gave more of it available in a jug. I’m one of those odd people who eat a burger with a knife and fork so lots of sauce does not present a problem. Overall a pleasant two hours was spent here, and a meal here is recommended, especially as it allows one to get in out of the winters temperatures in the beer garden adjacent to the airport’s security fence. One has to pay separately for the parking even if eating here. Don’t forget!

We went to this lovely restaurant the day before we flew to Orlando with our two young daughters who were just 5 & 3. As most with young children know, visiting a restaurant can be super stressful! But we were met by Kirsty: one of the loveliest servers I've ever had. She spoke to our children more than she spoke to us which they absolutely loved! They were not just welcomed but celebrated and whatever her wage is, it needs doubling ASAP! She made our trip absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you 🙂

My family and I came this afternoon for my brother's birthday as he loves plane watching. It was an enjoyable experience from start to finish - our servers were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the food was gorgeous! Our waitress Beth was particularly helpful, advising us on what menu items we may enjoy and bringing out a complimentary dessert for my brother's birthday. Thank you, Beth! ❤️

23/11/2024 unacceptable behavior of one of the waitresses at the bar ( pregnant one) After I asked for the breakfast menu, she said with great indignation that I could take it from the boy managing the tables. explaining that I just wanted to look at the menu , she took two steps back to the menu and threw them on the table to me with a big huff.

I feel bad I go away 3 times a year I’m lucky I take my family’s normally 9 of us! But tonight there was just two! My pri peri burger was burnt to a sun on the inside the bun was cold! Not good! I do recommend this place to my clients but no more! It’s changed in 5 months! It’s a pitty as I’ve gone her 3 times a year but tonight guys yiu let me down! I work hard to go away and I did with out tea cos I was looking forward to a meal at yiur place but it was not good

Great for me as a plane spotter if needing food or waiting to do a pick up. Food is good quality, fairly reasonable prices. Great for families and plenty of outdoor space. Came on a midweek evening today, a bit quiet but wasn’t mega impressed with service. Nobody checked on me during my food and not even an offer of having another drink - staff sat in corner chatting instead. Hope that this is just a one-off. Parking - Priced by the hour - My 3 hours £5.60.

great all round visit, with the added bonus that the pub is situated at the end of the runway at Manchester airport to watch the aircraft taking off and landing

Food was cold and bland, no seasoning ect. Ribs and wings just had lil bbq sauce thrown over them instead of cooked in the sauce, and the bbq sauce tasted like washing up liquid. Waffle and bacon had no syrup and small portion for price Theres So much potential for the meals but No love was put into cooking of the food, which was a shock as its normally a nice place to eat

Went the the airport pub at the beginning of September for my Grandson’s birthday. The pub was really nice and the staff were great. Really enjoyed the meal.

Over price for basic pub food. Wouldn't let me book for 8 people when we got there paid for parking went into the pub and were told they only had two separate tables for 4. Definitely will not be going back

Haven’t visited this pub since 2011 prior to a holiday so wished to give it a try again, purely to show my family the views of the runway. The pub has been well renovated since my last visit, extremely warm, modern with stylish aviation decor and a lovely eating area with large windows for viewing the approach. Plenty of parking which is payable by phone or the meter terminal, I understand that this is needed near the airport, but it’s a shame you done waiver this for paying guests. Food acceptable, but is nothing to shout home about for the price. I would visit again purely for the views.

Came to view planes landing & got removed from the garden area. The only reason you visit a viewing area. Go to other local pubs with better customer service.

Superb place to watch planes, especially now that Runway Visitor Park has been ruined by airport development works. From the courtyard you get great views of arriving or departing aircraft overhead, depending on which way the air traffic is flowing. However, it is a victim of its own success. For starters, the prices of some menu items are extortionate but the food is good. Parking situation is dire, too, when it gets busy the wardens park 3 cars horizontally across the disabled spaces, meaning there is no accessible parking, and not enough space to get a disabled person out regardless of where you park. If you want pub grub, you have to go inside, away from the planes, they only serve light food such as sandwiches and drinks outside. Can be overrun by kids when it gets busy, too, but their excitement when they see planes makes the atmosphere of the pub up very well.

Stayed at the nearby Crowne Plaza and took a walk here. Unfortunately it was a cold and wet evening so the garden wasn't open but inside was a really nice decor with Aviation themed pods (aircraft panelling and shaped liked an engine) Did not eat here but the beer was reasonably priced, around 5 to 6 pounds a pint. The team were friendly and we got talking g to some locals who were equally as friendly. Id love to come back when the garden is open and during the daytime.

on visiting the airport pub where you view the planes landing, (The Hanger) we had food and drink which came to just under £100. On leaving the pub we payed the parking fee requested bt the machine and about two weeks later got a parking notice of £100. Even tho the fee was payed. Still trying to get in touch with Dan who deals with parking ! Food was okay and the Drinks too. A little over priced but hey. Just now spending lots of phone calls to the pub trying to track Dan down. I think my time now goes well over the Parking notice demand ! Shocking how they can give their customers pain and grief over their mistakes.

Been meaning to go for a while, and today, the opportunity arose,The pub had a lovely clean and modern interior, friendly welcoming staff and great food. There is plenty of outside seating with a kids' playground. A must if you love planes. Parking is available, but I could imagine on very busy days would be difficult. Overall great experience, and can't wait to come back.

Beware the car park charges, not clear at all and despite buying a ticket we just received a fine in the post. Marvellous.

Went for breakfast this morning with my family, food was super and I like to say thanks to the staff who looked after us and made a fuss of my little girl, it really made her morning! 😃👍🏻

This pub is not dog friendly, despite a huge beer garden where you can sit outside watching the planes, they won’t allow dogs in this, very bizzare place

Met a colleague to do some work and have lunch. Great setting overlooking the runway and the quality of the lunch was excellent. Very well looked after by Ama who is a star and credit to the pub, attentive and gave great service, thankyou!

Food & service is great, spent £90 in drinks and food for me my spouse and 2 children, when i got the bill. Was also handed a note to pay for car parking? Which I thinks abit scandalous when you're spending quite a bit of money to eat there in the first place? If it was just plane spotters I'd understand. Overall good pub though

A round is a bit pricey but it's what you'd expect with the location and being so close to the airport Big beer garden in the back go sit and watch the comings and goings of Manchester airport

A rare trip for a daventry lad - the airport pub in Manchester There was a fella with a scanner on ground (121.850) but he didn't have ads-b exchange, so I set my phone up, was very entertaining trying to figure out what was coming when Iceland 757 Virgin a330 to JFK Singapore a350 Air Lingus a330 to JFK And of course the daily a380 to Dubai Lots of 737s and a319/20s and a token e190 Lovely place, great beer, great staff, lovely garden, recommend to any avgeek

Food was average, considering prices, but a good enough for a spot to wait for a flight. However, £100 parking fine issued after dinning there as a customer, not exactly the usual treatment to expect. The burden of responsibility put on the customer, expecting them to pay when entering a private residence, yet shrugging off the collections to a third party company. Looking online it is stated that they use said third party parking company to “ensure our customers have priority”, which is clearly not the case. Another greedy scheme to make money from land and another greedy business complicit in this shameful act.

Really was excited about visiting here - yeah not great. Food is basic and average at best. Service from most is dire and the atmosphere is non existent. Extortionate parking charges as well. Shame really as it could be brilliant. Owners have got lazy and it shows.

Lovely pub, really nice atmosphere, was served here today by Beth and the service was amazing, she even brought me a little surprise for my birthday after my partner let her in on the secret whilst I nipped to the loo. She has always served us each time we've been here and it has been spot on! Really lovely food and the cheesy fries are to die for! Been coming here for a few years and always come back, would recommend 100% thank you 😊
