I recommend this place instead of sitting in the terminal and waiting for the plane, you can drink a beer, eat good food and watch the landing planes live from close up

Business meeting over ran by 10 mins. Parking charge £170. You decide whether it's worth the risk.

Went for a drink and to watch the planes.. very enjoyable.

Over price for basic pub food. Wouldn't let me book for 8 people when we got there paid for parking went into the pub and were told they only had two separate tables for 4. Definitely will not be going back

Went the the airport pub at the beginning of September for my Grandson’s birthday. The pub was really nice and the staff were great. Really enjoyed the meal.

Haven’t visited this pub since 2011 prior to a holiday so wished to give it a try again, purely to show my family the views of the runway. The pub has been well renovated since my last visit, extremely warm, modern with stylish aviation decor and a lovely eating area with large windows for viewing the approach. Plenty of parking which is payable by phone or the meter terminal, I understand that this is needed near the airport, but it’s a shame you done waiver this for paying guests. Food acceptable, but is nothing to shout home about for the price. I would visit again purely for the views.

Food was lovely but service was a let down, got the feeling she really doesn't enjoy her job from all the eye rolling and lack of smiles!

Came to view planes landing & got removed from the garden area. The only reason you visit a viewing area. Go to other local pubs with better customer service.

We had a great afternoon, Beth served us and was brilliant, will definitely return.

Superb place to watch planes, especially now that Runway Visitor Park has been ruined by airport development works. From the courtyard you get great views of arriving or departing aircraft overhead, depending on which way the air traffic is flowing. However, it is a victim of its own success. For starters, the prices of some menu items are extortionate but the food is good. Parking situation is dire, too, when it gets busy the wardens park 3 cars horizontally across the disabled spaces, meaning there is no accessible parking, and not enough space to get a disabled person out regardless of where you park. If you want pub grub, you have to go inside, away from the planes, they only serve light food such as sandwiches and drinks outside. Can be overrun by kids when it gets busy, too, but their excitement when they see planes makes the atmosphere of the pub up very well.

Stayed at the nearby Crowne Plaza and took a walk here. Unfortunately it was a cold and wet evening so the garden wasn't open but inside was a really nice decor with Aviation themed pods (aircraft panelling and shaped liked an engine) Did not eat here but the beer was reasonably priced, around 5 to 6 pounds a pint. The team were friendly and we got talking g to some locals who were equally as friendly. Id love to come back when the garden is open and during the daytime.

on visiting the airport pub where you view the planes landing, (The Hanger) we had food and drink which came to just under £100. On leaving the pub we payed the parking fee requested bt the machine and about two weeks later got a parking notice of £100. Even tho the fee was payed. Still trying to get in touch with Dan who deals with parking ! Food was okay and the Drinks too. A little over priced but hey. Just now spending lots of phone calls to the pub trying to track Dan down. I think my time now goes well over the Parking notice demand ! Shocking how they can give their customers pain and grief over their mistakes.

Beware the car park charges, not clear at all and despite buying a ticket we just received a fine in the post. Marvellous.

Been meaning to go for a while, and today, the opportunity arose,The pub had a lovely clean and modern interior, friendly welcoming staff and great food. There is plenty of outside seating with a kids' playground. A must if you love planes. Parking is available, but I could imagine on very busy days would be difficult. Overall great experience, and can't wait to come back.

Went for breakfast this morning with my family, food was super and I like to say thanks to the staff who looked after us and made a fuss of my little girl, it really made her morning! 😃👍🏻

This pub is not dog friendly, despite a huge beer garden where you can sit outside watching the planes, they won’t allow dogs in this, very bizzare place

Food was great classic pub food. Servers were attentive and friendly. Our server Ama was lovely. Will return when my next flight is delayed!

Great service, fantastic table with a perfect view of the runway. The wings sharing plate was fab, more than enough for two and very good beers.

Met a colleague to do some work and have lunch. Great setting overlooking the runway and the quality of the lunch was excellent. Very well looked after by Ama who is a star and credit to the pub, attentive and gave great service, thankyou!

Food & service is great, spent £90 in drinks and food for me my spouse and 2 children, when i got the bill. Was also handed a note to pay for car parking? Which I thinks abit scandalous when you're spending quite a bit of money to eat there in the first place? If it was just plane spotters I'd understand. Overall good pub though

Excellent place for lovers of aviation and lovers of aviation, have also ate in here before and the food was very good. A round is a bit pricey but it's what you'd expect with the location and being so close to the airport Big beer garden in the back go sit and watch the comings and goings of Manchester airport

A rare trip for a daventry lad - the airport pub in Manchester There was a fella with a scanner on ground (121.850) but he didn't have ads-b exchange, so I set my phone up, was very entertaining trying to figure out what was coming when Iceland 757 Virgin a330 to JFK Singapore a350 Air Lingus a330 to JFK And of course the daily a380 to Dubai Lots of 737s and a319/20s and a token e190 Lovely place, great beer, great staff, lovely garden, recommend to any avgeek

Food was average, considering prices, but a good enough for a spot to wait for a flight. However, £100 parking fine issued after dinning there as a customer, not exactly the usual treatment to expect. The burden of responsibility put on the customer, expecting them to pay when entering a private residence, yet shrugging off the collections to a third party company. Looking online it is stated that they use said third party parking company to “ensure our customers have priority”, which is clearly not the case. Another greedy scheme to make money from land and another greedy business complicit in this shameful act.

Really was excited about visiting here - yeah not great. Food is basic and average at best. Service from most is dire and the atmosphere is non existent. Extortionate parking charges as well. Shame really as it could be brilliant. Owners have got lazy and it shows.

Lovely pub, really nice atmosphere, was served here today by Beth and the service was amazing, she even brought me a little surprise for my birthday after my partner let her in on the secret whilst I nipped to the loo. She has always served us each time we've been here and it has been spot on! Really lovely food and the cheesy fries are to die for! Been coming here for a few years and always come back, would recommend 100% thank you 😊

Went for drinks, found staff to be polite, we didn't eat here, however meals coming out, looked a good portion size and tasty. The location by the airport runway was great, if you enjoy watching the planes, the garden was very full as it was a sunny day. Overall found it to be a descent place.

This place is my favourite restaurant ever. The staff are lovely and the young lady we had serving us was amazing she was kind, helpful and made our experience so good. Been able to watch the planes land live whilst having an amazing meal is truly something out of this world for a plane lover. The food is a good price for the amount served as the portions are massive. Would highly recommend however it does get busy so may not be able to get a table.

Excellent pub! As an AvGeek and student pilot I’ve saw this place online and had to visit it with my girlfriend. We drove down from Scotland and had a wonderful time spotting. We’ll be back!

Atmosphere was nice as always, but the attitude of the staff was resentful and unpleasant. Upon arriving we were greeted by an angry gentleman who I assumed was the parking attendant, shouting at us to put our indicators on - we had them on but ended up knocking off as we pulled in slightly to get out the way of traffic wanting to pass. I assume he works for the driving standards agency also because this seemed to really bother him, why it was a concern of his I don’t know but a simple polite reminder would have sufficed. We went inside with our dog and abruptly told they don’t allow dogs inside, which is fine as I was unsure of the policy anyway. Again, politely saying so would have been enough. We had already paid for parking and decided we’d stay for a bit and put our dog in the car for half hour - an hour, there was a gate to the garden so we checked it out to see if there were any places to sit before putting the dog back in the car. When we went back inside we were told “we don’t appreciate you trying to sneak in through the back” - we told the staff that we weren’t trying to sneak in and simply just looking for spare seats. The response was a dismissive “okay sure”. Next time I might bring my balaclava so I can sneak in more effectively, I think having the dog foiled our plans of “sneaking in”. We wouldn’t make very good burglars. A lovely lady who was standing behind who I assume was a manager chipped in saying “well no one’s forcing you to stay”. A masterclass in customer service. We decided to stay as we weren’t going to be made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome because the staff didn’t want to be there, I think that’s more their problem than it is the customers. If you’re looking to get shouted at and spoken to in a patronising manner then this is the pub for you. That being said the interior, food and drinks, and views were lovely.

Had a flight at 6pm so came here for food before, way better food then you will find in any airport.

Good Points, Before we went to Kefalonia we decided to have a drink and food, Serviced by Sarah B who was friendly and a very nice person and looked after us. Bad Points, The food, we only had Fish & Chips and it was a bad choice, Chips must of been rewarmed (Horrible ) Fish (No Taste). Great place to visit if you want to watch the planes coming into land. Parking charges apply but are reasonable considering it next to the airport. Good play area for children. Pram and wheelchair accessible.

Minus 1 star for having to pay to park, no dogs allowed in garden and not even glasses so have to drink out of paper cups outdoors….in my opinion that all needs to change. Far too strict. Menu can be very pricy but there are some more affordable options

I recently visited the pub with friends on a busy Sunday. Despite some difficulty with the parking machine, I managed to pay for my stay. However, to my surprise, I received a PCN a few days later for £100. It's frustrating to have to pay for parking as a customer, but to then receive a penalty notice after paying is completely unacceptable. I would advise anyone visiting to keep their parking receipt to avoid similar issues. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and I strongly suggest reviewing your parking processes to prevent this from happening to others.

Really good quality food! Amazing views and if you’re a lover of planes then you’ll adore this place. Views of runway for both planes landing and taking off. Brilliant playground for children.

Great pub for watching the planes arrive or depart . It gets very busy on sunny days . Don’t always have food when we go but is always hot and quick . Has an outside bar and food area so you don’t have to keep going back into the pub if you are out with the kids . Kids play area to keep them entertained .

Nice food, but not a great choice for a vegetarian. Service was great until we asked for the bill and we were forgotten about. Update service has improved, but it still takes a long time to get anyone's attention to get the bill. Distinct lack of decent gluten free options.

Lovely morning having breakfast with the kids. I feel Kirstie in particular deserves a mention due to her friendliness and overall general manner. Great with the kid's and spoke to them rather than us. She even tried to encourage our youngest to eat some more of her breakfast.

Even if you're not an avgeek this is an amazing place to visit. Perfect place to see A380 very close. The food is also excellent here.

Being told can and can't by a drink from whether I'm inside or outside annoys me. A que of 10 outside and a no que inside, this does not take Einstein to work out which bar I wanted to go to. I may add waiting 30 minutes for an ice cream, well no words. And the weather was rubbish!

Food overpriced for what was received

Hands down the absolute worst breakfast we have ever been served. Plates swimming in grease, ' hash brown bites' are fryer scraps soaked in oil and bacon so tough and dried out a cobbler could fashion a pair of shoes from it. The Sausages were so low quality even mr Richmond wouldn't claim them. Our drinks were forgotten then we had to ask again for milk and sugar only to be presented with uht milk and wooden stirrers. I thought we were in a restaurant?! At least thats what the bill suggested! Shame as there's so much potential for this place to be worth the money. 1 star for the car park attendant and 1 star for the 1 member of staff who actually cracked a smile.

Went as my son loves aeroplanes and the reviews seemed great. Was surprised to learn you still have to pay for parking even if you're eating in the restaurant. I spent £45 for the two of us and still had to pay over £5 to park. The view of the runway is brilliant , with lots of outdoor seating, toilets and an outdoor bar/kitchen. We sat inside to eat as it was raining. Staff were pleasant and table was clean. We chose a seafood platter and a cockamoooink or something like that. We were both starving as it was about 2.30 and we hadn't had breakfast. Food came quickly, looked ok, but unfortunately wasn't very nice at all. None of the meat had any flavor at all, and was covered in a REALLY sweet BBQ sauce. There were also two small pots of meat which were both cold and had no flavor. The seafood platter was very chewy and again had no flavor. So my verdict would be that I'd definitely go again if only to buy a drink and watch the aircraft land, but I definitely wouldn't eat there again. A pricey lesson learnt I think 🤔

This place is amazing.. the setting is so unique, so close to the runway, you definitely get a true feeling being so close to the planes. The spacious garden has plenty of room to relax and the play area keeps the kids entertained. Love the outdoor bar which serves selected drinks and can order food such as burgers for outside dining. Have not eaten inside however when walking through, decor is beautiful! Been twice now, not far from Trafford Centre. Parking is tight but alternatives available

Quite shame as the travelled 3 hours to come to this pub and service was rubbish especially in the outside bar, for the price you pay you would think they knew the term service with a smile 🤣 other than that there is an excellent view

Very cool location very close to the runway, with an excellent view of all the planes taking off and landing. The ale selection is not great, only 1 ale to choose from, though lots of generic lager to choose from. The pub itself was very dirty, and the staff were a mixed bag, some were friendly but looked visibly overworked, others were actively unfriendly...

Food is decent, nothing special but the service was great, the playground was great for the kids and all backed by planes landing just metres away.

Expencive pub food, made better with the fact you can watch aeroplanes land from the beer garden. Great for kids.

Just had a glass of cola...Wanted to check the view of the planes...Good views! Venue was really busy when I was there which was a Sunday afternoon...Managed to bag the last parking spot but if you're not as lucky, you'll probably miss out...

We sat outside to watch the planes landing and it has a decent play area which is good for little ones. The main issue was the amount of people smoking and the number of cigarette butts on the floor. They need to restrict the smoking to one area away from the children's play area.

Marley and Phil are absolute gems! They are the loveliest gentlemen and always give me 5* service. I always return just to see these boys:)

It was very busy on the Saturday we visited. I was very happy with my food but some of my friends were not overly impressed. We got our food quickly though considering how many people were there. Decent selection of drinks at the bar and not too expensive.

Visited here last Thursday and have to say, the food we was served was brilliant. The last time we visited was nearly 1.5 years ago and the food wasn’t great back then, that’s why we hadn’t returned for a while but my son asked to visit for his birthday. Service was fine, we didn’t come across any rude staff like other reviews. All the food was lovely, portions great too and found it all value for money. Parking is expensive but that’s too be expected with its location. Would definitely return in hopes the food stayed the same quality.

Overall the experience was great, the food was delicious and staff were polite and polite and professional The only thing that let you down was disabled parking and my wife being told that she would have to park elsewhere and was not able turn into the car park to let her out

Went for breakfast and we couldn’t fault it all. One of the best full English I’ve ever had. Service was organised and professional despite a very busy establishment. Then to top it off you can watch the planes land & take off. Ticked off my bucket list

Amazing breakfast, amazing service. Get there 15 min early and queue up to get best seats! Highly recommend this place.
