Ate outside at the Hangar bar, so menu is more limited than inside which is fair. Really great place to sit and enjoy food/drinks and watch the planes land/take off. Great atmosphere and children’s play area.

Great few hours here, bonus that the aircraft were taking off from the runway right next to the pub. Fantastic having the Airbus A380 just 30 feet away from you.

If u want a mint day out lovely drinks and great views of the airfield lots of drink choices and lovely staff will be back in the summer

Lovely pub set in a great location to watch the planes, only thing that let it down was the quality of the ribs, to much grizzle & cartlidge, still tasty though & the rest of the food was lovely but one of the female servers seemed to be in a bad mood when seating us, she threw our menus on the table & muttered there's ya table & walked away before we had even reached the table, without so much as a smile, would have been a 5 star if that hadn't of happened, The price seemed maybe a little expensive, we had 2 starters 4 mains & 4 drinks & the bill was £107

A great place to visit, sitting watching the planes take off and landing while having some nice food. Menu is varied and on the higher end of reasonable for pricing. Paying for parking is not what I expected but understand to a degree, would have liked to see an option for discounted parking if you buy food and drinks. On the whole a decent place to visit.

To Ama (waitress), she was absolutely immaculate! Her energy, attitude and helpfulness is something that you can tell is naturally from the heart! You have yourself a 10/10 employee, and I had to tell her during my dining time! Protect her at all cost!♥️ My sister and I loved her service! Thank you!

Came today with my boyfriend for food and to watch the planes decided to stay for food and it was fantastic! Was served by Ama! She was absolutely amazing and a credit to the pub! Will definitely return for her service alone! Thanks ama!

Must visit!!! Came here for a date with my girlfriend food and speed of service was exceptional I must say AMA was wonderful and made the night she set a a great atmosphere through out the evening and made sure everything was to our satisfaction even had guests laughing not just ourselves treasure to the company she is !!! Oooo and calamari is to die for

The food wasn't great. If any one goes here pay for parking. As I've got a parking ticket. We went to this pub at 7pm. Will not be going back here.

Great place for food, plane spotting and kids playground.

Arrived paid to park, which is fine. Dissapointed to see the play area is closed for construction and nothing is mentioned on the website. Wasted journey with the kids other than watching planes which they did enjoy. Didn't stay for food but it looked nice.

Quite expensive but good atmosphere and amazing food, staff seemed tired but it's understandable considering it's on the edge if the runway, no back comments about staff they were lovely none the less and was amazing seeing planes from the outside seating area. Highly recommend!

Popped in on a Wednesday evening, unfortunately they had run out of some drinks / food . Quit pleasant in side , out door are looks good, would be popular on Sunny days/ weekends

Lovely views, friendly and quick service at reasonable prices. My only criticism would be the paid parking, even for patrons. They would bring more business in non-peak hours if parking was free for customers on orders over £15 for example.

Lovely afternoon out here for my 1 year olds Birthday. Great food and service. Nice outdoors space for watching the planes coming in and out. Will definitely be back in the summer!

We come here often and always a great experience, great set up with the play area in the garden and close proximity to watching the planes which my little boy loves.

Too busy today, 90 minute wait for a table for food, refurbishments ongoing outside, but staff very friendly and helpful.

Fab place to visit with a great choice of food. Just wish the car park was bigger. Our server Kristie was amazing, she was so happy and attentive. She even brought us a birthday brownie along with a candle as it was my husbands birthday. They also catered for my request to not be in a too busy area whilst eating as a member of our party is Autistic.

We had a lovely Meal here only downside was the Parking ticket a week or so later, it would be helpful if there was some warning about the parking here inside the Restaurant or by the person taking your table reservation at the door. Yes it is up to me to check these things but it would be nice to be reminded by helpful MANAGEMENT /Staff I rest my case for only *** I hope this is helpful to any visitors and customers to this Restaurant. UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW After my email to the Customer service Manager over my issue.They started an application for a full refund which was returned in full this weekend 8/03. Thank you for your help with the matter. I have upgraded my rating to 4/5

What a great place this is. Food was so delicious and served piping hot. We were sat right by the window so could see the planes landing and taking off from inside. We then went into the pub garden where you are only metres from the runway and you can feel the planes engines as they turn onto the runway. Will definitely be back here very soon.

Warm welcome and great table service by the lady who served us. We had breakfast, little disappointed that they didn't have poached eggs. But otherwise, ok. There is plenty of seating and a good atmosphere, but kids play area cordoned off so only a short visit this time.

Amazing place for aviation fans. Just under the approach of Manchester Airport's landing runway.

A traditional pub that’s been right at the edge of the runway for years. Great if you like looking at planes close up but a real friendly pub for meals and drinks too. Great service and very tasty burgers! If you go into the garden to watch the planes then wrap up warm as it can get cold and windy during the winter months. Otherwise stay warm inside with a coffee by the huge windows. Be aware that at weekends and especially school holidays this pub gets VERY busy and the car park is often closed as it’s full.

Travelled from Inverness Scotland to watch planes and try this place out 10/10 for everything the staff were incredibly nice I was served by Ama defo recommend ❤️

I too have fallen victim to their £100 parking fine, there may be over 20 signs in the car park detailing the parking charges - but the car park has really poor lighting & when I visited it was past seven o’clock on February evening so it was really dark & the last thing on my mind when calling to a pub for a drink is to look around for parking signs. I will never be calling in again & so you can stick your arrogant reply to my review where the sun doesn’t shine 👍🏼

We had 2 adult meals, 2 children's meals and 2 sides for the price of £74. The food look delicious in the menu and I was looking forward eating it. Unfortunately the breaded mushrooms i got were very greasy, so I only ate 2. My half of roast chicken was very dry, so I hardly touched that too. Kids chickens balls were very dry. All the food was only just warm. Will go again for drinks but not for food

The pub itself is beautiful and the decor is so nice! The staff are amazing and so friendly! Always willing to help! The food is also delicious! And the garden is incredible with a great view for plane spotting! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone thinking about coming here!

Food and service was sub par, and to top it all off got a parking fine. The signs are not clearly posted as evidenced by 45 reviews mentioning getting a ticket. Enjoy my extra £60, will absolutely not be returning here.

We ordered a classic English breakfast, however I did not appreciate the cooking of the bacon or the sausages, which were burnt. On the side, we also had some pancakes: in my opinion cooked with some mix. Service and environment, especially at the healthcare level, were excellent. However, I didn't appreciate that you had to pay a fee with your car to enter the car park.

Beautiful food with friendly staff and watching the planes was an added bonus

Came in to get a quick drink whilst collecting our daughter. Despite there being several free tables inside we were not allowed to sit at any of them despite reassuring staff that we would move if anyone came in to eat. As a result we were banished to the outside area in the cold. Front of house staff were also rather rude

This is a great spot for plan spotting but the food we had was below par. We had the beef salad and the beef pieces were solid.

Was shown to a table, told me it was table service, then totally abandoned. Other people who arrived after were served. Maybe because I was a solo diner?

How I have not been here before? Beautiful food, everyone really enjoyed their meals. All staff were really friendly and gave off great vibes. The pub is clean, tidy and inviting. The views of the runway are great, the pilots even have us a wave. The prices are on the higher end for a pub but is worth it for the quality of the food. Just remember to pay for the parking!

Been there two times in the last two weeks. Every plate I had was good or great. The server was so friendly, very quick and attentive. Second time a few people served my table including the lady from the first visit and was excellent again.

As a regular to the pub we brought 2 friends that haven't visited before. We bought drinks and went into the garden to watch the planes take off and land. After deciding we wanted food we was told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table which wasn't a problem for us. We bought another drink and was given a buzzer to let us know when the table was ready. The table was actually ready after 10 minutes. We was looked after by a nice lady called Beth. She was absolutely brilliant. The restaurant was really busy and she delivered excellent service in such a busy environment. The food was served hot and was asked if we wanted more drinks when our glasses were empty.

Beth was our waiter and she was amazing, she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our food and gave the best customer service, very bubble girl and polite. Would highly recommend this pub and service provided, Thankyou Beth for making our time enjoyable.

Slightly pricey, otherwise perfect

Fantastic visit today, promptly seated and excellent service from Kirstie, she was polite, pleasant and extremely welcoming.

My partner brought me here as a surprise. The atmosphere is lovely, and we were seated by the window with a nice view of the runway with the planes taking off and landing. The food was outstanding, portion sizes were amazing and the quality was top notch. The waitress was lovely and attentive. Although my partner didn’t see the signs and forgot to pay for parking. If you’re coming, make sure to pay for parking. Would definitely be coming back here again for the food and the atmosphere, and we will remember to pay for parking next time.

Landed at Manchester and decided to come straight to the pub, closed with lights off before 9pm, yet advertised as open until 10pm

Just got home after an hour at this busy pub. We walked in and a guy sorting menus asked us if we wanted a table inside or were we going outside. We said table in and straight away he said we haven't got any! Why ask us then!! We went outside and went to get some food. Forget it if you are vegetarian or vegan, not even a veggie burger available. Two small tubs of fench fries cost £7, certainly not value for money and we definitely won't be returning. Take note they charge you to park your car.

I genuinely didn't spot the need to pay for parking (who even thinks of this when visiting a pub!?) Got fined £60 for 21 minute stay. Absolutely disgusting, please improve the signage outside and inside the premises. I won't be returning.

The perfect place to go if you have a little aviation geek in tow, or are one yourself! We drove 2 and a half hours just to come here, and it was worth it. The food was great, the service fantastic (thank you Sarah B, you were amazing and looked after us so well!!), and we saw an A380 which was the mission. Easy to park with Ringo, great views, and lots of seating in the garden.

A fun pub to kill a few hours whilst waiting to check in for a flight. Much better if you get a seat in the window to watch the planes coming and going.

Dan and his staff were so fantastic,from the moment we walk in to leaving their just couldn't do anoth for us. The food was fantastic.

Arrived to film my families flight landing and asked if their outdoor space was open when ordering a drink at 4:15 only to be asked to move quite rudely out at 4:30 because they have to close it when it goes dark. Communication and customer service sorely lacking. P.S. silly reply to the review telling me what I already knew whilst doing the bare minimum to address the real issue here. If I could rate 1 star for replying to reviews/complaints I would also do that.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise! Only went because my hubby was waiting for me there after my flight. Thought it would be a bit of ‘pub grub’ but couldn’t be more wrong! From the minute we walked in the staff couldn’t have been better. Friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food…! Wow! Home made, good portions and reasonably priced. This is where he’s gonna be waiting for me in future! 🤣
