Seems like a popular place for Sunday lunch, we have bangers and mash, cheeseburger, and a children's chicken strips and chips. Everything was good and staff were excellent.

9 of us have enjoyed a lunchtime meal with you today 28/3. Everything was good, staff all friendly and efficient. Understand only 3 staff working, shame on management as the pub was full, don’t know how the staff kept calm, they were chasing their tails. But they still gave excellent service, well done.

Had a terrific meal on our wedding anniversary, which included a "doggie dinner" for our little one. Food and service were exemplary, that's before I eulogise about the ale. Only downside is the smell emanating from the sewage treatment works on the other side of the river, some locals told us they were used to it 😉

We went on Sunday with a large group and a number of us had their excellent turkey roast dinner. There is a good menu choice of other items too. It was very busy and waiting times can be considerable. If you go in a large group it is essential to book so that the restaurant can plan and you all get your meals in a reasonable time. Recommended.

We waited for an hour for our food!? When asked why, we were told there has been a technical problem and we were next to be served with our food. Foods came out the kitchen but not to our table?! After about 15 minutes we decided to leave and celebrate my wife’s birthday with takeaway pizzas!? Very disappointed.

Been here quit a few times now went Sunday evening for a birthday meal (party of 9) table booked for 5:15pm and finely left at 8:15pm what a disappointment after been there 30 mins we had to ask if we could order, after waiting ages we got our starter then had to wait 40 mins for our main to come out my dinner was nice but cold my husband had the special cheese pie which had NO cheese in, it was potatoes with skins on lightly mashed (had big lumps in) with pastry dumped on the top my husband mentioned the pie having no cheese in but all they said to him was i will let them know!! we ordered 3 drinks after 15 mins of waiting we had to ask were they were and all we got back was they are coming so he went to the bar and got them was quicker none of the staff were friendly or smiled looked like they didnt want to be there wanted a desert but went with out one as it all took too long. Lovely building but that seems to be the only good thing, came here a few months ago and it was great; had the sizzler and loved it . But now there is new ownership and I waited 25 minutes to order my food and that was when I asked for help. Couldn’t wait for my food and then I get given a portion half the size it was before but in replacement there was a pool of oil at the end of my plate. My wife, daughter and son all got fish and chips and they looked like chicken nuggets batter you would get better at Aldi. Then my other daughter got a burger which was burned on the patty and charred on the bun. When I said to the waitress she gave me paper towels to soak up the oil and not to strain my food of it. All meals cost at least £15 each and then the more senior staff got the control of the oil but only took 15% off of that one dish. Tainted the experience of the evening and I definitely won’t be going back in with that management.

There were two staff, one behind the bar, the other waiting tables on a busy lunchtime, in a reasonably large establishment. We ordered at the bar, if we’d waited for the one person serving tables it would have been a good 30 mins. We waited almost an hour for the food. When it came it was dry and not very hot. It had obviously been ‘kept warm’ before being plated up. As one meal alone cost more than £23 plus it wasn’t good value for money. The pub itself is well appointed, clean and has great beer garden. They have a micro brewery and their own gin bar. It’s a shame that the service, the food and the prices are poor.

We use to love this place but since management changed it is very disappointing. We recently came for lunch and was greeted by young member of staff which was trying to allocate a table on tablet and when phone rang she told the phone to “shut up and stop ringing” very nice for whoever was trying to get in touch. We were sat down into table next to two loud party tables while the rest of the pub was empty why? Becouse it is easier for staff to serve, really poor. We ordered a drinks which didn’t arrived for 25 minutes so we walked away. We won’t be returning for sure. We went to Brown cow instead had quick service and fabulous lunch. Disappointed and sad how the place turned to be as the previous management would never let to be like that.

No knife to cuit the cheese, no pickle and no butte to put on crackers, when asked for ambutter was informed, too busy not supplying butter today and didn’t get a knife. Quite disappointed to think we paid £85! Why didn’t they leave the butter on the table from the starter?

Last minute visit straight from work. Not busy when we arrived. Ordered the cow pie, steak frits and garlic chicken. Cow pie looked like it had been reheated to an inch of its life, with hard overcooked beef and was sooo salty. There were large blobs of congealed jelly gunk in it and they had tried to disguise it with gravy poured over it. Quite bad really and certainly not enjoyable. Steak frits were average but greasy and for £24, certainly not worth it! I passed on my ‘constructive criticism’ to the young man serving at the bar, who was extremely dismissive and seemed to not give a monkeys! One word of advice…….employ and pay for a qualified chef, not a ‘cook wannabe’, who can only ‘ping and ding’ Certainly won’t be returning!

Been to the Heifer a few times, unfortunately they do not fail to disappoint. I would like to love this place, but but I am constantly let down. I've tried here for lunch previously, to be asked if I had a reservation, with not another customer in the place, then uming and are'ing for 15minutes if they have a seat. .We then sat down and they would not give us the lunch menu. (We left, and went to the Brown Cow). This latest time I attended with a couple of colleagues, just for a pint or two, before going elsewhere for food. Firstly we were ignored, in favour of food orders, then we were moved off a table for a so called reservation to a tiny area at the end of the bar ( the table had wrappers and mini cheddars all over it and no reserved sign) an hour and a half later when the reservation arrived, there were loads of available tables. I like the idea of the Airedale Heifer, but unfortunately cannot recommend it at all. If you want a quiet drink, go to the Busfeild arms in East Morton. If you want food, try the Brown cow in Bingley.

Staff were friendly however drinks and food were very slow and the food was terrible. Went on a busy Monday, maybe they didn’t anticipate how busy it was going to be, waited best part of an hour for two mediocre “burritos”. These consisted of rather bland vegetables and chicken in a wrap with what tasted like microwaveable rice, with some curdled soured cream on the side. I would be fascinated to see what their spaghetti meatball burrito would have been like, and all of their other burrito concoctions. I think a menu revamp would benefit. I don’t think we will be going back any time soon.

We have been many times but our most recent experience tells me there has been a change. The rare beef on the Sunday lunch was one thick slice of topside. It had clearly been seared but that was it, the inside wasn't cooked and a dinner knife wouldn't cut through it, rare beef should cut easily. It won't stop us returning but it was disappointing. An excuse given by a staff member was that the Chef used very sharp knives, well yes, I would hope a Chef wouldn't use a dull knife but no idea what that had to do with it. The meal wasn't charged for so that was fair enough, but then when I paid the bill, there were items on it that we hadn't had Please get this place back to its high standards.

Well, what a change since last time we visited.. Not for the better, unfortunately. The food was ok, not the best I've had. The sticky toffee pudding was terrible, tastless, the toffee sauce was like water, and you could tell it had just been reheated in the good old microwave! It was that bad I left it, and that's a 1st for me where puddings are concerned!. The lovely lady who came to clear up noticed that the pudding was left and asked if all was OK, to which I explained what was wrong with it, and to my surprise, she agreed with everything I said, even the bit about it been reheated in the microwave. I'm sorry, but would you pay nearly £7 for a pudding like that?. Also, what was the chef thinking that sending a pudding out like that was acceptable?. The lady in charge took the pudding off the bill, which was very kind of her. Now, would I go again? No. There are better places to eat for the price, their charging, and much better food, too. Sorry if this upsets anyone, but it's my honest opinion. 🙂

The turkey was dry, the Yorkshire puddings were burnt and the veg and mash was minimal. I asked for more veg and the waitress told me I had to buy an extra portion. I was asked by one of the other staff how the meal was and I mentioned my disappointment of which she said that she’d speak to her manager and see if ‘she could do something with the bill’. No vegetarian Sunday dinner left but was offered to have a veggie Sunday roast without the roast ie a plate of veg and gravy! As there was only 2 other veggie options that I didn’t want I did in the end decide to have the Sunday dinner accompaniments with an extra Yorkshire pudding. I should say the Yorkshire puddings were great as was the mash but the roast potatoes weren’t crispy at all. When it came to paying the bill I was gobsmacked to see that we had been charged full price for my veggie ‘Sunday dinner’ when it was just accompaniments and no nut roast. Paying the same to get less doesn’t seem right. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Just had a Sunday dinner. It was absolutely amazing. The staff are incredible and it’s lovely to see their dogs relaxed around the pub. We cannot wait to return

We went back here for our Sunday evening meal as we enjoyed it the 1st time. Unfortunately the chicken strips were friend with fish, tasted funky, then we waited for over an hour to receive 1 lasagne which was just like warm and the pie which was also luke warm. Pie on its own is almost £20. Total bill just under £60, not great experience and I don't think we will be going back there. A shame as we thought this could be our local 😏

We often come for a meal and can never really complain. Lovely food and reasonably priced. We really enjoy coming when Becky is working. She is really attentive and goes the extra mile to make sure we enjoy our visit. Thank you x

Very glad to have found this place on a rainy Sunday afternoon with the kids. A nice soft play boat to keep them entertained, a warm welcome and a nice view over the canal. And cake. All the staff were lovely and we'll be back next time we're in Yorkshire
