Fantastic, amazing service food was lovely. Staff were friendly and most welcoming. 6 of us ate here all ordered different things all was served beautifully.

Food delicious as always! Shared fried chicken & salt fish fritters to start, curried chicken and jerk chicken main -would order all again but want to try more of the menu next time. Good service too. Relaxed and welcoming. Wish we could come more often!

The chicken was really bad no flavour the lamb was good but the customer service isn’t brilliant, if you want a relaxing peaceful time don’t come here as you will feel judged and looked at funny came there 2 times and every time it’s the same feeling

Absolutely fantastic food. Delcious curry and rice and peas. The only thing I would change is the portion size, but maybe that's because I am greedy and enjoyed it so much I could have eaten more!

We visited Mama Rita’s for the first time after hearing good things about the food. The food was very tasty and we’d definitely recommend it. I was impressed by the range of vegan and gluten free meals. The service, however, was very slow! We didn’t mind waiting for the food as we understand it’s all cooked fresh to order but we also waited a long time to get our drinks and the bill at the end of the meal. Our daughter had one of the children’s meal which is supposed to come with ice cream after but we ran out of time for her to have it as everything took so long and we had to be somewhere. The restaurant was also very cold. We had to keep out hats and coats on throughout the meal. It’s a shame about the service because, like I said, the food is really good. If we went back I think we’d opt for takeaway to avoid service delays. It was hard to rate this experience because of the conflicting points mentioned.

I have been to Mama Rita's in the past and have loved going there to eat with good friends. This time, my friend who I had been on holiday with booked a table for us for my birthday and my daughter Amanda joined us. Because of staff shortage, service was slow, but that was not a problem. What was a problem, is one of us as sat with our food for 4 or 5 minuts before the othe two were served their food. My daughter who cooks a lot of carribean food was disgusted with her starter as it was very greasy. Her main meal didn't fare any better as the rice tasted (yes I had a taste) very dry. It was a though it had been precooked and then reheated. As my daughte could not eat her food, my friend and I asked for a container to bring ours home. After all, how could we eat a main course when my daughter could not eat hers. I will go back to Mama Rita's some day, as this negative experience was probably a one off. Other times I have been the food has been lovely and I have never had a problem.

Lost for words the food was just no! the food quality served to me was both swimming in grease, reheated and dried up. So disappointed that I had to leave without eating.

Amazing food and service staff were great. Food was fresh and very well cooked, some serious talent would love to learn a few of your tricks. Will be back. Joss

It was the first time I have visited Mama Rita's. I went with my husband and 2 friends. Everything was clean, staff were relaxed and really friendly, and we loved the music that was playing. The food was authentic, home cooked, and delicious. I can't wait to work my way through the menu to try everything 😅 I would highly recommend visiting- support our local restaurants 🤗
