African Delight in Plymouth

They had a small stall outide a venue i worked at recently. The Lamb and Fried Plantain with homemade Jerk sauce was amazing! Loved every bite, If i'm ever nearby again I will definitely visit the main store!

Beautiful food, wonderful vibe and fantastic service! Can’t recommend this place enough. You must get the African doughnuts for afters.

Good food but onion was missing in the food

The nicest people working here, will go above and beyond for you! I love the spicier food but my toddler loves the fu fu and stew, so there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.

I went here with my friend yesterday evening and we both had egusi with fufu. Not only was the food delicious but everybody there was so friendly. I definitely will be eating there again and please if you are ever in Plymouth I highly recommend eating here, it will not disappoint.

The food was amazing and all the staff were so kind and welcoming, i could not recommend a restaurant more than this one, i feel like everyone needs to try it! Thank you for the amazing service and the amazing food i will definitely be visiting again soon.

The food was spilt into the the bag. We did not receive our plantain. Everything we ordered from just eat website they called and said was out of stock although it showed up on the website. The jollof rice was very poor.

Curry was too watery for my taste but still tasted good. Loads of rice with the peas and rice, which is good.

The customer service is brilliant and so is the food normally. Unfortunately this time, the delivery driver spilled all the food so I was left with nothing to eat. I called the restaurant and they went out of their way to make sure food got delivered to me as just eat could not provide such service. I ordered the egusi and it was wonderful, definitely ordering again!

Found this place when working as Deliveroo rider . And decided to try it myself . I had fish stew and it was awesome 🙏 thank you chef + everyone was very friendly. 💯 % recommended👌

Food was nice but the containers that it got delivered in was bad food spelt out for £15 a meal I would have for it would have come in proper containers with a secure lid but food nice

Ordered Lamb Curry and Jollof rice, and also Peas n Rice and only got two lots of Peas n Rice. Lamb Curry and Peas n Rice was delicious, shame the Lamb wasn’t a bigger portion, none the less it doesn’t take away from the great flavours and will order again just hope they get the order correct. Oh and bigger portions of the curry.

Superb plump moist tasty large chicken wrap - generous portion of fine fries, delicious plantain, and hot fried rice with vegetables - generous portions and fresh on the day ingredients - Recommended

Read previous reviews which definitely did not describe what we had delivered. We ordered goat curry and all we got was bones and fat… no meat. Also a chicken curry which was dry and tasteless even though we asked for spicy. To say we were disappointed is an understatement but hopefully the bin enjoyed it.

The food we got was great but we were missing our sweet potatoe fries. Tried phoning multiple times and no answer and the messaged them and no answer, you take my money and don't deliver the product

This was previously called Bon Appetit but has now moved location to 80-84 union street. Still has the same great food and chef as before. So if you are looking for some delicious African cuisine, this is definitely the place to go!

Everything tasted lenggg, bless for the free doughnuts

We ordered at 6pm a chicken nuggets and chips and some dessert, due for delivery no later than 7pm. At 7.15 after hearing nothing we called to be told they were nearly here, then we got a dispatch notification 20 minutes later the food turned up (over an hour and a half after ordering) for it to be the wrong order I rang again, to be told he would be straight back another 15 minutes later with nothing we called and finally agreed a refund. Regrettably this is not what we expected, we understand companies are busier than usual however constantly having to be the ones to chase with no updates, then receiving the wrong food after so long was highly disappointing. Would not recommend

Great value and tasty food. Generous portions. Really enjoyed the jerk chicken. Really friendly staff. Chilli sauce is a.must if you like it spicy! Definately worth a visit.

Even though my food was late, these things do happen. The food was lovely and still was hot they were kind enough to give me some extra food for the lateness. So thankyou I really enjoyed it and I would order again :)

Lovely food been eating there everyday delicious

We went in tonight. We were made made to feel very welcome. Having lived in both africa and the Caribbean the food is authentic, full of flavour and great value. We will definitely be back to eat again. Don’t miss this little gem in Plymouth. Long may the doors stay open.
