Afghan Cuisine 'N' Grill in Bolton

An amazing option for Afghani Food, their Qabli pilau and tikka both lamb and chicken are really nice. They also do a massive chapli kebab, one of the biggest I've seen! A bit of a shame that the prices are quite inflated and they're a bit stingy sometimes. I.e. I ordered a portion of hummus once and they literally put like 1.5 tablespoons from a normal Lidl hummus tub. But charged £2.50 for it, crazy! Similarly when asking for a bit of yogurt after a £40 order, they started arguing over charging me for a tiny tub 🙄

Food was average, bland, it was like reheated just very minimal for the price we paid expected a decent amount. One lady middle aged wearing long shirt pony tail up took our orders she was sooo rude I had my kids she made us feel very uneasy and unwelcomed, they didn’t even bring our jug of drinks on time. They need to really work on their food and pricing this is Bolton. They need to waitresses that are much more welcoming family friendly especially kids and their kids seat was very dirty and not cleaned, let’s not start on the toilets.

Orderd from just eat food was terribley bland and i think most of it was reheated because it all had the same off taste to it like its been stored very poorly in a fridge complete waste of money and not authentic afghani food at all waste of money

Terrible customer service, rude and arrogant lady taking orders. There is no regard for kids with special needs. Does not deserve to be open to the public.

I went today with my kids and one of them is autistic we were setting and the lady who takes order asked us to move from the seat and sit somewhere else I explained to her my child doesn't like to sit places where r noises so we fine here she was rude very disrespectful doest care about kids with special need and asked us to leave the restaurant I will never go back there.

Ordered Kodobe Kebah costs over £30 they turned up with just 6 nan bread so I phoned up and enquired where was my order their reply was its still here? so I asked are you going to delivery it their reply was 'Dont Know ' so dumb.

Ordered a mixed kebab on naan which came with 3 nice thick lamb chops cooked absolutely perfect and quite possibly the best lamb chops I have ever had, chicken tikka pieces and lamb kobeda on a naan bread with salad and their green chutney and hot sauce. Food quality is up with the best and the sauces are amazing. Definitely will be back. Thankyou

Used to be good but the new owner is too rough with customers, please learn some skills about customer relationship. Unfortunately the food is not good as it was. Also, 15£ for a lamb Karahi is totally crazy guys come on, it is Bolton not London.

Mr. Riaz a very kind and welcoming dude… first time visiting here he helped us with the menu and man the food is 100 out of 10 just best… had chapali after years and best kebab naan specially smoked aubergine. Recommending everyone visit here…

Over priced and £0.50 for a half empty topping of sauce absolute joke what do they think people are stupid and they don’t want to take card payment but I paid by card eventually.

The attitude very bad me and my wife we wanted to have a food over their in the restaurant are but we been told that restaurant only for a family with kids as a husband and wife not allowed to eat in the restaurant only if you have a kids with you!!? Very strange manner !!

They used to be great service, but now they become a very snobby people, I believe they changed a owner new people run this restaurant now they don't care about customers very care less this week I been with my wife we sit down at the dining area the waiter comes to us told us we have to leave going to takaway area because dining area only for family with kids (children) which is doesn't make sense !!? so if you are a husband and wife or two person with no kids not allowed to sit and eat over their? So we had to leave going to different restaurants , I think they are not in need of customers very bad attitude from the owner

Family oriented place. Separate area for men on other side. Food is excellent. If you like grilled meats. You must try. I have been coming here for years.

Ordered Chicken Karahi with bone and been told they don’t do. Tarka daal has a weird taste. Waited for Naan bread for over 10 mins. Even though we are in the middle of eating food. 🙄

This place is amazing and the food is one of a kind, it’s very clean and the place I was sat on was very well organised normally you would find dirty tissue or unclean spoon in other restaurant but this place is absolutely clean and amazing love this and would definitely recommend it.

Delicious food with friendly, lovely owners and staff. Their desi chai is some of the best desi chai we’ve had and the Qabuli pilau rice is very tasty. No place makes chicken tikka better than this Afghan Cuisine. It’s succulent & perfectly prepared and served with a gorgeous naan. We come here especially for their chicken tikka - it’s a family favourite. The owners always welcome us very kindly & are always happy to accommodate anything. It’s become one of our favourite local places for takeaway and dining in. Highly recommend trying out this family run place.

The other side of the restaurant is nice and clean but because only 2 of us having the meal we were forced to move on the very dated and tatty side of the restaurant where seats ripped off and over all not looking clean and tidy. Food is below adequate quality and I cannot recommend this place. Naan was ready made heated up, not made in the house, chapli kabab not even tasting how it should. I think next time trying the new Afghan restaurant Pamir on Deane Rd. This was epic fail...

I have been going to to place for years. The service is amazing, the food is fresh and full of flavours. I would recommend the lamb chops, the chicken kobeda is the best I have ever had and the chicken tikka is always tender. The hummus is a must have and their chicken karahi has nice flavour and so does the tarka Daal. I would also recommend finishing with a pot of their special tea.

Just love this place and food is amazing. From the moment you walk in the door you are made so welcome and the food is just amazing and for us as a family we host love this place. I see some negative comments have been made and this is sad because we go every week and the owner is nothing but welcome and even going above and beyond to make you welcome and serve you the best food ever. The place is spotlessly clean and everything for me is a 10 out of 10. Having been going to this place now for a long time I do know that if for some reason you are not happy about something and you speak to the owner about it I know he will definitely do his best to accommodate you sorting it out and he will do that with excellent customer service. I really could not find or say anything negative about this place and its a must try for anybody who loves this kind of food. Food, cleanliness, atmosphere, customer service, welcome and cost is all excellent and value for money. For are family this is definitely are favourite place .

Have to say this has to be the best place in Bolton with the tastiest food ever. We as a family come here every Friday and the welcome we get is just the most amazing welcome ever and that's before we even talk about the food. Even though we come every Friday it is still the treat of the week and we all look forward to it. Now if you like your Afghanistan food then you are going to be in food heaven as everything from Qabuli Pilau to Dopyaza and Bolani is amazing but you must experience the lamb chops as they are out of this world and the best chops I have ever had and you won't be disappointed. I have to give this place a 10 out of 10 as Elias and his wife and the staff are just so welcoming and then back up that warm welcome with fantastic food. Will never miss a Friday treat as I think my boys would not speak to me again if we didn't have are weekly fix of this place. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Amazing food, best qabli you would ever find in any restaurant all over bolton, and beautiful juicy kebabs

I have been their customer over 3 years i had never experienced any problem here but for the past two times it seems like they have changed their staff and cooks. The problem with food here is now it’s always undercooked and in summer its disgusting no AC or Fan, if we talk about the hygiene flies go everywhere without any hesitation and when I complained about the food the answer i got was oo maybe this thing was not cooked properly check another one. Thats not the point point is whoever comes here spend £40-£50 and if we get this kind of service its not fair.

The food quality & service gone down the hill. I have Ordered on phone & went to collect food. I wanted to pay on card but the owner start getting aggressive and telling me that they don't keep card payments because they just don't want to pay Tax or Vat to this country Government. Really made me upset. I paid for the food cash and guess what? the meat on qabili pilao was off and smells really bad. All gone in bin. Thank you Afghan cuisine. I Will never come again to your restaurant. I have reported to the Taxation department very soon they will visit you.

The person who calls himself the Owner was such a rude person. Was making faces through out the process and misbehaved at the time of payment. Extremely unprofessional and poor behaviour from a place I used to go to regular.

I ordered peswaheri chapli kebab, food was fresh and taste good. Good value for money. It took quite a bit time (more than 20 minutes which is required for this kind of food) but guy on reception is good and kept updating the order status.

This was the most flavoursome meal I've had in a long time. I ordered the wings to start and lamb chops w/ Qabuli rice - 10/10!! The lamb chops were beautifully cooked and the rice was an explosion of flavours in your mouth. I really enjoyed nibbling on the carrots and raisins between mouthfuls. This was my first time trying Afghani cuisine and it has become one of my world favourites.

Delicious food as always. Naan bread quality has greatly improved as they are slightly thicker and much softer now. Ayran drink was made with homemade yoghurt. Forgot my wallet with my driving licence inside and the owner kindly dropped it off to our house… exceptional service….would definitely recommend

Rubbish service. Food and drink was not as we ordered. Food and the drink ordered didn't taste nice, nothing could be changed so had to order more. Overall very unhappy with what was provided and serviced to us.

Good food but service is bad. The manager or owner was quite patronising and it almost felt like us being there was a burden on them. You’d think we were asking for free food the way we were treated. Had bad experiences a number of times.
