We smelled this place down a road near our house and decided to try it. Had the veg and non veg meals with mutton. Came with lots of little pots of different dishes, rice and poppadoms. Perfect for trying a new place. Some were spicy, some were creamy all super tasty. And so cheap! Definitely recommend so much better than many of the curry takeaway places near us.

Used to come here regularly when I lived in London and still visit when I can If I'm in South Wimbledon. Food is very spicy, but incredibly tasty and fantastically good value. Be brave and give it a try!

This is a clean and bright café with very authentic specialties at low prices. I enjoyed a seafood kothu for £5. This is bits of chapatti?, seafood, onions, spices all mixed together and crammed into a metal bowl. It was tastier than it sounds - and was ideal after a beer festival at the Sultan on Norman Road. I noticed a lot of starters at low prices (like 60p) in the display cabinet and I think this place would reward a few mates pretty much taking pot luck with unknown items. The gent serving was able to explain what a kothu was and would be able to help! The service was friendly and fast. Its about 7 mins walk to and from S Wimbledon on the Northern Line

A small café-style setting but serves a huge range of good Sri-Lankan food. Some of the snacks and appetisers and a couple of the main dishes are kept in the refrigerated display and nuked, but most of the main dishes come from the kitchen out the back. Can be a bit intimidating if you are not familiar with Sri Lankan. SL food is very spicy by nature, so for "very mild" on the curries which will get you something like a Karahi level. For a while when I was living locally this was the best for Masala Dosais in south London. Its very cheap and varied. The client base is by the looks of things mainly south Indian and SL. As someone with South Indian roots, I am always disappointed when I see Brits go in to a Sri Lankan place and order the more conventional North Indian and Bangladeshi curries. Be adventurous - there is more to life than a tikka masala. It is a huge challenge to spend more than a tenner a head here.

Don't be put off by the canteen style decor or the incredibly cheap prices- this Sri Lankan restaurant is one of my favourite places to eat and absolutely fantastic. The daily special thalis and especially the Friday version include a fantastic variety of food and are particularly great value. I'd also highly recommend the vegetable string hoppers. One note of caution - by default the food is very spicy- let the staff know if you would prefer your food to be milder.

After a disappointing first visit to Sai a year ago, we gave it a second go as it is a popular local restaurant. Sadly, it failed to deliver again. The food is the main disappointment. Surprisingly, there are no side dishes on the menu which most top-end and local Indian restaurants do serve. We decided to go for a starter, a meat main, a vegetable main, a salade and a naan. All together. The paneer starter was a feast of sugar and sodium glutamate which would put most cheap Chinese takeaways to shame. It was poor. Very poor. The chicken in Rajasthani sauce was bone dry. The sauce was flavoursome but the chicken like plasterboard; it sucked all moisture from one’s mouth. The saag paneer looked like it had been reheated several times and had a disturbingly fatty/buttery taste; odd taste and not recommended. The cucumber salade constituted of a few slices of cucumber with some spices sprinkled on top. Rather uninspiring and not worth ordering. The naan bread had a lovely meat filling but sadly, it was barely noticeable. The papadums on the house were good but sadly, somewhat forgotten after a £70+ per person bill. The atmosphere and decor is pleasant. There is a good 'vibe' created by the open doors, good lighting and local guests. To finish, the service was hesitant and seemingly inexperienced. The owner/manager swanned around smiling at a few tables but disappeared at 8pm to leave his staff to thumble along. Second visit to Sai and last visit to Sai.

Fiz um lanche no green Ginger e me encantei com a diversificação de comida saudável deles!! O atendimento é bem rápido e o sanduiche e alimentos são bem frescos!! O valor é bem baixo, como de um fast food, mais saudável!! Recomendo!
