Most amazing customer service!! the attention to detail is incredible and it’s a small family run restaurant in which they care impeccably for their customers, thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Personally i wasn’t the biggest fan of injera and i’d say it’s an acquired taste however i enjoyed the non spicy beef and spicy beef sauce thoroughly. I seriously recommend especially for vegan food and if you want to try something new!!

1st time trying Ethiopian food. Lovely food (had a veg and meat platter for2) and hospitality. Full feeling & nicely spiced.

This is very much a local restaurant with amazing staff and lots of atmosphere. The food is good hearty fare but not the finest fare I’ve had in this cuisine. The place was empty when we arrived but soon filled up with people looking for the comfort food of home faraway.

OUTSTANDING! Truly delicious, good selection and very generous portions! I didn’t know the combination meal would include injera so needn’t have bought any, but that means there is plenty for tomorrow.

Great value for money. Delicious and authentic food. We had the vegetarian meal plate for two and it would surely have been enough for three.

The food was not flavourful at all. Came here on a lunch date a few days ago and ended up getting stomach flu a day later (don’t know if it’s from here but kinda feel that it’s correlated and I’m just getting over it). We had the lega tibs and the Difen-miser-wot. First time trying it and also the last. The service was good but at the end of the day it’s not about the service is it really.

My 1st experience with ethiopian food and I enjoyed! I don't remember a time I was at a restaurant where the good vibes were coming from the other customers as well. The sense of community is top tier

Food was tasty enough, but selection was poor - we ordered the meat and veg combo for two, and got three stews (2 small, 1 large) all of which were meat. Really not worth the money.

The food wasn't flavourful. I've had Ethiopian food many times and was disappointed with the taste. It was my first time having katenga which was a very nice. Staff were friendly.

A really nice and homely Ethiopian restaurant in Brixton, London. It was my first time of trying Ethiopian cuisine and I wasn't disappointed at all. The attendant was so friendly and chatty. He gave me injera and rice as a side dish because I have not had injera before and he wasn't sure whether I would take to it. It is clearly a family-owned and I loved every bit of it. Definitely returning to try something else on the menu when next I am in London. Did I say that the food was delicious too 😋

I have been to several Ethiopian/Eritrean restraints in London, but I never had such a fresh and tasty food. I am originally from Ethiopia and I know the real test of our dishes! We ordered Meat and Veg combo and it was testy and fresh except the Doro Wet. Doro Wet is not easy to cook to get the right taste!!! I highly recommend to any one who wants to try the real Ethiopian dish. Thank you guys for the hard work and honesty to provide the right Ethiopian dish. well done!!!

Most delicious food, and lovely friendly people running the place. Generous portions too, we tried to eat everything as was sooo good, we had to take doggy bag home and enjoy it the next day as home :) Very popular place, good crowd eating there.

It was our first experience eating at an Ethiopian Restaurant. We managed to walk in and grab the last table on a Saturday prime time. Thanks to having read the previous reviews, we were patient as they do take their time to prepare their food but it was well worth it. We also did not over order as the injera will fill you up and we only had one meat combination for one (for 2 of us), side salad (a little difficult to eat with hand or even with the injera) and the samosa. Really happy to have tried. The spices are different from typical Indian and it felt less greasy than typical Indian. Highly recommend and we will go back with a bigger group to sample more dishes. House wine was absolutely fine.

Super tasty veggie dinner. I'm not a vegetarian but my friends spoke highly of the restaurants veggie options so I went for it! 3 of us had a starter and the large veggie sharing platter and it was amazing. Really tasty food with Ethiopian bread, huge portions. Staff was lovely and helpful. House white wine was tasty and my friends enjoyed the Ethiopian beer. Great value for money. Would recommend and will be back!

Really pleasant experience eating here while we were in the area. Friendly staff who greeted us with smiles when we walked in, a clear menu with lots of options (including lots of vegetarian options). We had the vegetarian combo for two people and it was delicious. Good injera, well-spiced dishes. Would recommend!

Food was *great*! We had the vegan combination plate for two with the hot chickpea dip, and it was more than we could finish. Loved it. Price was very reasonable. Service was very friendly, but the "tag team" approach made it a little difficult to know who to ask for what. It was very clean, comfortable, and pleasant, except the music. Initially it was fairly traditional, and I don't know if they realized I was American and thought we all loved country music (we don't!) or what. Suddenly, in a traditional Ethiopian restaurant in the middle of London, I heard American country music twanging out! It wasn't so much an irritation as it made us laugh. But would definitely recommend! --- Update Sept 21 2023: Travelled halfway across London to make sure it was still a good place to eat. 😉 Confirmed. It was delicious, and my husband almost had to roll me out the door due to food coma. We had the vegan combo with the hot garbanzo dip; were both stuffed and still had enough left over for another meal. Amazing.

I had been wanting to try Ethiopian Injera for a while especially as Im veggie and it's a great option for vegetarians. I got the veg mix and really enjoyed most of the dishes, i felt some of the lentil dishes could use a bit more flavour. Overall, i enjoyed the experience of eating with my hands with the tangy injera bread. The lady serving us was lovely too. Also decently priced for the size and variety of the dish.

This was the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. Flavours were incredible the meat was succulent and soft, the restaurant was super clean and staff were so welcoming and kind. I would definitely recommend!

Nice lunch experience, but not as good as visit couple years ago. Injera top notch, but veggies lack seasoning and salad was boring. Frozen baby carrots? Host/owner lovely, good value.

A very friendly and welcoming restaurant, with delicious food, served with great courtesy. Several people in my group had not tried ethiopian food before, and the restaurant staff helped us work out what to order to suit our taste, even kindly bringing rice for a friend who found that injera was not to their taste. I had a sharing plate with my partner, and found it absolutely delicious. The menu has instructiions on how to use the injera to pick up your food, but staff were happy to provide cutlery for those in our group who wanted it. Portions were generous and the food filling, so we didn't manage to finish ours, but I was very happy to be offered a takeaway box so I could take my leftovers home.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. The food was freshly made, and because of this, the wait was reasonable. The injera was quite sour, but the vegetable and meat dishes went well with it. We got the meat and veg combination for 3 people, and it was more than enough for the 3 of us! Overall, this was an enjoyable new experience.

We've been here just on a date night and out with friends and it's always great. The food is fresh and tasty and the portions are always generous. Make sure you save some room for the honey cake!

Genuine Ethiopian food from an adorable family run restaurant. My partner is vegan and couldn’t have been happier at the amount of choice on offer for vegan/vegetarian food.The dish that we’ll both be dreaming about for a long time is the Veg combination large that we shared, the flavours in each small dish were so well balanced, each with their own unique taste. When you go in say hello to Ben the owner from me. You’ll know who it is by his infectious smile and energy, the kind that makes you feel like you’re home. Definitely an our new favourite restaurant in Brixton!

I was excited to try ethiopian food and even though, I didn’t necessarily enjoy everything it was great to try it. The food is very well seasoned and decent portion sizes and prices The staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions. A great place to try ethiopian food a go!

This restaurant was quite simply one of my best culinary experiences in London! So many flavors, tastes, diversity on a single platter, not only is the food very good and of high quality but eating there is a unique experience, we show you how to eat like in Ethiopia and it's magical! Amazing food. So different but tasty. The staff were wonderful. This is the second time I have been and it was just as good as the first. So much food but they let you take it home if you cannot finish it.

Delicious food (large veg platter with chickpeas) and lovely service. Not as spicy as some of the Ethiopian food we’ve had, which suited me perfectly. We’d love to return when we’re next in the area.

We were greeted by the friendliest staff here and were then treated to some of the most delicious Ethiopian food. We ordered the vegetarian combo with the chickpea sauce - it did not disappoint!

It was healthy, fresh and ok. I rate it only 3 because it lacked the little extra that makes Ethiopian food special. This is a perfect spot for European taste buds, but as an Ethiopian I found the food plane and boring, not too much spice or taste.

Super clean restaurant and very attentive staff. Plus, the menu features a quick guide how to eat with injera, great for first-timers. Food was ok, I ordered Alecha wot and Difen Miser wot, probably I should have chosen the spicy options, flavours were very mild. Prices are reasonable and you can get a vegan side for £4.9 with any meat main. No service charge so bring change for tips.

I took my dad and his partner here tonight. I tried to park right outside and the owner came out to ask me to park elsewhere. However when he realised that my dad would really struggle, even though I offered to move it, he very kindly let me stay out front. He helped me to move the car against the fence. The food was delicious- we had a meat sharing platter, served on Ethiopian enjera bread and it was so tasty. My dad had a vegetarian platter. The owners couldn’t have been kinder, more welcoming or more hospitable. The restaurant was nicely full and had a happy buzz from contented diners. Thank you

I spoke with the proprietor who was very informative and kind. As an Ethiopian who can’t cook his own traditional meals, I was over the moon to hear that Adam’s carries Kitfo. Adam‘s sent over the combo we had ordered AND threw in Kitfo for my homesick heart. I will remember this forever, thank you again for the amazing food. Will be eating here again soon.

Highly recommended, good value for a tasty meal, big portions and friendly service. We finished off with a glass of their honey/sweet wine.

The last time we had Ethiopian food goes back ten or more years ago. This restaurent serves up excellent food, very good value and good service. Family run restaurant, should be supported by locals and visitors alike. A short walk from Brixton Station Free parking on adjacent street on Saturday, probably the same on Sundays. Spicy food? No, not in terms of chilli spice, nothing worth mentioning unless u are super sensitive to a teeny weeny amount of chili. Chicken is tasty as is the beef. Not had Injera before, it is similar in someways to dosa and I am not referring to paper dosa. Maybe avoid the platter and order meat or veg that suits your palette. Not often do I recommend a restaurant, this one gets the thumbs up.

The food was bang average with not a lot of flavour, and there's 0 atmosphere. The service was fantastic though the staff are all super friendly, so depends what you're after (?)

went here with my friends to experience some authentic food where I can eat with my hands for the first time. the injera was amazing with the lamb that I had with it . prices were amazing and atmosphere so caring really enjoyed would come back to try different food 💫💫❤❤

My first time trying Ethiopian food, and a very positive one. Very tasty and a unique experience, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are also very reasonable. I'd recommend perhaps changing the name to something more Ethiopian sounding, and perhaps the decor, signage & ambience could be improved - but that's minor, and I will be returning.

The staff was incredibly sweet here, I felt comfortable and my friends and I had a great time! Did I tell you the staff were sweet? I did choose the dish with torn up injera and beef, but on top of that there was too much injera. The next time i come for lunch, I’ll definitely get the best dish. Thank you for your hospitality:)

Just came for a coffee to wait out the rain but will defo be coming back. The couple next to me had a beautiful looking meal and the staff was very helpful with speedy service and most importantly good coffee! (They had a takeaway option)

Lovely friendly restaurant. We really enjoyed the food and the ethiopian beer was delicious. We were a little disappointed they couldn't be flexible with replacing the beef with lamb so ended up having to order extra food.

In terms of the food it is quality and in terms of people they are so respectful and caring. It is definitely the best of Ethiopian restaurants in London. I visited them back in 2019 and this evening 6 October 2022 they are still the top.

Adam's Ethiopian is such a find! Delicious, freshly made food (gorgeous flavours!) served with friendliness and warmth. To top it all, the bill was very reasonable. Top recommendation!
