Ace Pizza And Kebab House in Doncaster - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

This was our first and will be our only time ordering from this restaurant. We ordered our food at 8:38 and was advised that the delivery time was less than an hour on the app. Then at 9:50 I called the restaurant to check when our food will be arriving as it was getting late, I was told that our food should be arriving any second, Then 20 minutes past and I called again and was put onto quite a rude man, I explained that we was told 20 minutes ago that are food would be here and we’re yet to receive anything, he then advised that they don’t normally deliver to our area as it’s too far away. I advised that if they can’t deliver to our area they should not have accepted our order or even allowed us to place it. He then just asked what i expect him to do and I asked for him to call the driver to check where they are and let us know when we are to finally expect our food, then we received our long awaited dinner at 10:34, the delivery driver was blunt and was eager to remind us to pay, and then left. Lucky the food was decent and just about warm enough, but will definitely not be spending money there again. Not worth the hassle.

Been using the takeaway for years and without doubt they do the best kebab in Yorkshire, I live in Bradford and love visiting Doncaster so I can order from these guys!! 5 star every time !

This takeaway after numerous deliveries free decided to start charging £5 for a 3 mile journey as it’s too far so we reluctantly agree and then the order comes wrong. Simon as he was referred to on the phone call can’t be bothered to sort out as he is way too busy so we get offered a £3 discount on our next order even though the missing item cost £3.70 and the order placed was £30.70 plus obviously the new £5 delivery charge !!! So no keep your offer and your new delivery charge as a 3 mile 6 minute drive is too far. Your customer service is diabolical and lacks any form of customer service. Will definitely not be ordering again from this so called local village takeaway!

Having travelled all across the UK, this is by far one of the worst kebab houses I have visited. Poor quality, even poorer service and at an extortionate price. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice etc.etc

I called in here for the first time as it had been recommended to me. After looking at their website they state that their pizza dough is all made fresh, this was another reason I visited, after receiving the pizza I can say it might be made fresh but I very much doubt it’s made fresh on site and on that particular day, the pizza I ordered came on what I would call a generic mass made takeaway pizza base. If the takeaway wants me to visit and watch them make their pizza bases and retract this review I would be happy to do so. To add insult to injury I ordered one of their standard pizzas but with added pineapple at a cost of £1, this equated to (I’m sorry I just had to count them) 14 tiny pieces of pineapple. Averaging 2 pieces per slice, I honestly think that’s unacceptable. On the flip side I also ordered a kebab wrap, I’ve had numerous kebab wraps and I can honestly say this was one of the largest and tastiest kebab wraps I’ve had full stop. I just wish their quality in the wraps washed over onto their pizzas.

Very good food, would recommend the lamb shish wrap and the cheesy chip wrap. Very friendly people. Offers free delivery.

We have gone here regularly for quite sometime now and if you collect the items yourself, there is a short wait. it's a good place to go from things such as scampi to donna. I have no such negative comments to the place, never had an issue. kind and friendly staff that get to know their local community

Ordering online is not one to repeat it says 45/60 mins when in actual fact it's 1hour 30 plus minutes. You get fobbed off with the girl who answers the phone thinking it's fully acceptable to lie to you and get you off the phone. They don't deliver a full order and the food is barely edible. It's disgusting when they say a certain time online they should either change it by being honest about the real time so people can organise an alternative. Or not charge the delivery. Obviously they pay the girl on the phone with pizza to lie to customers. Do not order from such a disrespectful place.

Ordered a simple order for my 2 young daughters at half 6 it git delivered at 7:45!! Food was cold and in inviting, when order was checked requested cheesy chips for my coeliac daughter and they sent plain!! I wouldn't mind but they charged the 2.40 for cheesy chips and not the 1.80 for plain!! Chips we're disgusting so my daughter refused to eat them anyway! Cue having to still cook!! (Please see pic... Chips look a day old at least!) Rang up to let them know to have a very rude young lady on the phone and to be told "you will get a free cheesy chips next time you order"! So wtf is my daughter going to eat tonight as this was a treat for good behaviour!! In future I'll go elsewhere 1/10!!

Many times have we used this place and it was the best kebab in miles. Unfortunately recently they have started to slip and pizza really doesn't live up to much. Slow service for delivery and charging extras at every opportunity. Will I use again I hope not

I've been getting my pizza here for years but it's gone way down on standard, pizza way poor, very disappointing

Great tasting pizza, according to the kids it's the best they have ever had, and I agree. The chips spice is great tasting too and the service is always with a smile, used a few times and will definitely use again!

Lovely Donner meat, also the chips and service is excellent, sometimes a little bit leisurely. Very clean and tidy, people who work there are always well mannered.

Absolutely appalled!!! Ordered a chicken sheesh and chips for delivery and was told 40 mins. 2 hours later they turn up, no apology, no discount or anything! I do NOT recommend and will not be ordering food from this place again!

Obviously the girl on the phone should still be in primary school as her maths are on the same level, she over charged us for three items by £2.10 when we literally live less than a 2 minute drive away so it can't be classed as delivery charge and yes we do have a new menu which was posted through the door less than a month ago. Food a let down, pretty much flavourless. We also do the polite thing and give a tip. So with the over priced just acceptable food and tip ace have got a grand total of 3.90 into their pocket for 1/4 mile delivery. Maybe yo should actually find staff that at least have a GCSE level of at least a B level but then that's probably the way they make their money. Definitely NOT ORDERING in a hurry. Food also should have been warmer and wedges quite powdery as you find from a budget supermarket. Would rather have had a pot noodle. Service and food seriously has gone down since last ordered so doubt we would order again.

Had many poor incidents and they deal with them very poorly. Very rude people, poor quality of service and food and very arrogant people. I paid for a delivery and I was getting the money together and he stood knocking at my door shouting, when I walked up to the door he shouted in my face saying he was busy and he would have rather taken the food back to the store. I think it is disgusting as a paying customer they feel they can talk like that. I will definitely be taking my custom elsewhere. They regularly get the ordered wrong, missing wrap bread, sauces, spice, meat mixed up. Do not recommend at all, save yourself the fuss and disappointment and go elsewhere.

Ace always do great service, the staff are friendly and helpful the food is always good, chicken shish with salad is great as is the margarita pizza.The fries with spice are really tasty .

Good, garlic bread not the best but pizzas really good. Option of thin crust would b good. Prices reasonable and a good selection of toppings and pizza alternatives. Didn't have to wait long although it was made fresh

Hands down the best takeaway I have ever had! Good prices, amazing pizzas and excellent customer service!! Must try!!!
