Absolutely class best fish and chips shop I have ever been to. 5 star Costumer service 5 star food always good portion and the young man there is very polite.

What a joke,why would u have your own business and not give it 100%, not happy owner,chips under done and the pineapple fitter.

Chips were good. However meal spoilt by the heavily watered down vinegar! Why not be upfront and tell customers the vinegar is mainly water? Perfectly good meal ruined. Salt & vinegar dispensers very greasy to touch.

Looked nice, quite expensive and after getting a third way through the cod it was cold. Not cooked properly. Hope don't get ill. Won't go back.

Every time chips awful, not going back.

First visit. The servers eyes glazed over when I asked if they did “gluten free” batter. I didn’t pursue it! The large cod looked great. On eating, the fish was lovely but the batter stoggy under the initial crisp outside. The batter was actually pretty unpleasant and discarded. The chips were fine. Disappointingly, I won’t repeat even though convenient when visiting parent.

Regular here as I like the chips.

One of the workers bragged to me about adding their “special sauce” to make it nicer, and I like to try new things so I said yes after a horrific 40 minuite Wait I finally got my chips but to my surprise there was spunk all over it he had soaked my chips in his gunky spaff, who wants cummy chip?, not me that’s for sure

Very good for fish and chips and a good variety of other dishes cooked to order so fresh and hot batter on fish was perfect would highly recommend just brilliant batter must be best in Northampton.

25 minutes wait for a bag of chips with mushy peas? Not even an apology when it finally arrived. Shocking service x

Gucci man works there very nice lad great at wiring humble bloke and makes some cracking chips

The bad: Fish was very oily. Chips were stodgy and tasted like they weren't fried/cooked properly. I ordered a "Pukka" branded steak and kidney pie, but I got something else of dramatically lower quality with lower meat content. The good: Portion sizes of both chips and large haddock fish were good. Customer service was good and friendly staff.

Great chip shop and fried food emporium! Like to give local establishments our custom. Personally I think portions are good value.

Their £1 meals are the offcuts that didn't quite make the cut so instead of throwing them in the trash they Sell them on to Customers. Chips were soggy, Fish cakes were mushy/ bland and the Customer experience was even more bland.

Chips must have been boiled not fried. Very disappointed.

everything about this shop was awful it had things growing off the walls and the people working there where drooling on my food

went here with a few mates and ordered the peri peri wings chips a battered sausage and some chicken nuggets and had to wait 40 MINUTES for the wings and we went to eat them they were either burnt or uncooked how BAD can you be at making wings you spent 40 minutes on them and some were raw, the nuggets were unedible and the chips were just dreadful the only nice thing was the sausage and when we went back to ask for a refund we were confronted by a man named paul and his son jay who told us to get out of their restaurant and threw chips at us it was horrible never go here.

I thought I would try this out for the first time and I'm sorry to say it was awful. Soggy fish and stubby little chips which were also soft and soggy. Hadn't eaten half of it and afraid to say I was actually sick. If the owners read this they should check the fish. The rest went in the bin. Given all the positive reviews I'm guessing this was a one off....but won't be back.

Lovely freshly cooked food served by friendly and attentive staff. The chips are great but the fish is amazing.

I was very impressed with the size of portion, the chips were freshly cooked and the fish was a very good size, the batter was cooked to perfection. I only ordered a small curry sauce my mistake - next time it will be large. I cannot fault in any way

This is the first time I have been here for years, due to diet choices. I was welcomed by the same lady that has worked there for years and she recognised me, Excellent customer service from her. The food was lovely, good size portions and good value for money, if my diet allows me I will definitely go back.

I live directly above the shop and decided to try it out. I had a small battered sausage and regular chips and at £2.30 it is a great price. The chips taste great and by far best that I've had from any chip shop in a very long time. The battered sausage is perfectly cooked.

Avoid the donor kebab , especially if the rude owner serves you he will put all the little chopped up meat that's left over in it all really dry , only toasted one half of the pitta because he forgot to turn it around so half was sticking out the top of the toaster he is too tight to buy a proper one and then to finish off the worst kebab I've ever had he puts such a smallest amount of salad on with the smallest amount of sauce to and then has the cheek to charge you £4:20 but like any good thief he covers up himself by wrapping the box up so you can't check your food before you leave and have the pleasure of finding this out when you get home , I would have gone back but after a long day at work it just wasn't worth it, he won't ever have any of my and my family money ever .

I pop into the Abington Plaice Fish bar this evening on my home from work, now normally I would order chips and mushy peas, however I noticed a sign saying southern fried chicken and chips for £3.50. Now I should always listen to my brain and not my stomach, the first give away, is that the notice sign is written in black marker on cardboard and stuck to the main display menu, why do people do this, come on and some standards. So as you guessed, I decided to ignore my brain and went for southern chicken, so I Waited 15 mins and drove home and when I tasted the chicken all I can say it was not fit for human consumption, it was far like southern fried chicken and more like southern fried leather, from a old pair of shoes from my wardrobe, stick to what you know and leave Southern fried chicken to KFC. I understand that you are trying to reach out to new customers and build your business, however you are losing customers when you deliver meals like this and now you have lost me.

Nice Clean Chip Shop with good Quality food however The man who works in there seem to have difficulty with some orders other then that i cant fault them.

Really disappointed. Had to throw away the fish and chips that we really fancied. The fish was so heavily battered it was gloopy. The chips had been cooked previously and then re cooked they were coated in cold fat. It was 1.30 on a Friday afternoon and there were two other customers in there. They can’t run a chip shop like this and expect it to prosper. Sad as have had decent food from there before.

It gives you lovely tasting food and really is very delicious and well-cooked. People are very friendly and helpful, and it is actually quite cheap for fish and chips! Service is sometimes quite slow but usually, it's okay. Very nice food.

Haddock was ok, nothing special, crust was too thick for my likes. However I liked the chips and curry sauce. It left me with mixed feelings and stomach.

Only had a piece of large cod, had a 5-10min wait as you'd expect. Was very nice batter and fish cooked well. Not 100% convinced it was cod or that tilapia fish instead, but tasted nice.

A visit to a chippy can often be a hit or miss affair, however on the occasions we have been here we have never been disappointed. There is a good range of food, fish cooked freshly to order. The staff are also lovely and very friendly. A lovely local chip shop.

Abington Plaice, sell a excellent choice of take away food. All freshly prepared, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes while the food is cooked. Good size portions. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Extraña situación y aparcamiento muy limitado, pero bien vale la pena venir aquí por su pescado y patatas fritas. Los propietarios son amables, simpáticos y acogedores, servicio con una sonrisa, es sin duda una aquí. La comida está recién hecha y nada era demasiado problema. Patatas fritas patatas fritas como debe ser :-)

Clean fryers, well cooked chips, crispy but soft inside. Fish coated in crispy batter. Owners very friendly, keen to please. Great. Went there twice in a week!

Its one of those chippies that you can smell from about 2 miles away with the wind in the wrong direction, and when the fat really can't do any more the smell is even worse. If you want smelly soggy fish and chips this is the plaice for you.
