Took my mum for lunch here on her recommendation. Very good food and decent portion sizes. Big menu. The place could do with a bit of TLC but clean. The only thing I didn't like is that it was cash only. Just about had enough.

This café is very nice generally. Some of the staff are friendly and lovely. I’ve had a few not so great experiences there but more good than bad. I would recommend this café to anyone in Collier Row or outer areas looking for something to eat.

Busy little cafe in Collier row, tried their roast on Sunday.

The seats are quite worn but the place is great try and go during the week days because it will be less busy, yeah the did was good I had a set 2 and it cost 7.50 not bad.

I went in there today with my daughter and 2yr old grandson has he doesnt eat chips I asked them if they could do a small portion of plain pasta and the owner refused and said I would have to pay £8 for an adults portion so guess what we got up and left and went 2 minutes down the road to cafe twenty 3 who was happy and very polite to accommodate us and we had a lovely lunch so wont be going back in there again as they had already gave us our drinks we paid for them and left

Such a shame. Used to love this cafe. Don't go in when busy, you may just be sitting there watching others get served who walked in after you. Mass confusion today. Staff had no idea who had been served on not. People walked in 5 mins after us and got served before us. That should never happen. Good ok though. 3*

Great cafe in Collier Row. Massive menu with all-day breakfast, lunch items, roasts and loads of other meals. Brilliant prices and huge portions; the meal for 4 in the picture below cost less than £30. Can also bring your dog with you if you sit outside.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Premises is extremely clean & tidy with lovely decor. Staff are very friendly & I was warmly greeted upon arrival. I ordered a Set Breakfast from the menu & asked for 2 changes which was no problem at all. The food was served quickly & the presentation was excellent. I would certainly dine here again & would highly recommend to others.

Very dissapointed, booked a table for 8 people a few days ago, on the day we were 4 minutes late, got there and they had given our table away. We go there quite regularly but won't go there again. 😕😠

Absolutely fab. It's our favourite cafe, with reasonable prices, quick service and traditional choices (including other good choices). My partner often hates eating out, so when we went here the first time I was worried. But he absolutely loves it, you sit down and the menu is brought to you, order gets taken and you pay after you eat. It's so perfect and quick. Will be back again and again!

Hi everyone I want to let everyone that this cafe has very bad customer service my mum and friend went to the cafe today which my mum has been doing for a long time and she has always been polite and always comments on how nice their food is and even taking the plates up when she done to help the cafe if it busy. However when providing feedback due to food being overcooked and finding a hair in the food the men behind the counter started being very rude and disrespectful to my mum. So be careful if you order food from here if it not to your liking he will not take your feedback light he will probably be rude to you like he was to my mum.

Just had American breakfast, it was lovely, and home made pancakes not shop bought scotch pancakes.. been here a lot and food always top notch .. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Never fails to dissapoint. The food is never overcooked, the presentation is amazing and such friendly staff. Ordered American pancakes. Unlike other cafes who serve you scotch pancakes from a packet these were homemade and absolutely delicious. Well done cafe Abella, you've created a customer for life.

I have eaten twice here and the food and service is excellent. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, your not rushed in anyway. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. The staff are friendly and polite and so is the owner. Fantastic.

Awful roast dinner. Cold and overcooked. Never again. Sorry but had to be worst we've had in a long time from a cafe.

Quick service friendly staff good food

First time customers and we ordered a chicken burger meal, came with chips,coleslaw and drink. First off the burger is amazing, soft bun, juicy chicken and the mayo/lettuce ratio is superb. The coleslaw- best I have tasted! creamy and a good flavour. My husband had the cheeseburger meal and said its amazing. very happy

Cafe Royale is a friendly and popular cafe and the food especially the roast dinner is really delicious and great value for money at £6.90. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We have become regular customers!

Amazing place, it’s under new management for the past 3months and absolutely killing it! Food is delicious with good price nothing is expensive totally worth it. Looks expensive from the outside but prices better than many other cafes!

Ordered the eggs royal, comes with two toppings for £6 and spinach with hollandaise sauce on muffins I chose bacon, salmon and extra mushrooms. They came on muffins and also salad. Great value, portion and flavours, even the salad. Really enjoyed it! I ordered a cappuccino (I’m a barista so I was quite critical on the foam) it could have held a lot more if made better. Overall though, I really I enjoyed this place! 5 stars.

Very nice never had a prob i ear in here a lot. Def will go back. No card machine is the only prob.

I wasn't very impressed with this little cafe. It looks good inside but sadly it was form over function. The welcome was friendly but the food was lacking. Dry lasagne, dripping wet salad, milkshake that hadn't really been shaken and a long wait for some of the food. Some of us had finished our meals before the others even arrived. I definitely won't be going back to this place. Perhaps they were just having an off day, but I'm not going to take the chance again, given that there are many other cafes to choose from nearby.

Best Independent Cafe in Romford! This is my favourite place to go have a hearty breakfast. It is nice and clean inside. The staff & owners are really nice and polite. Tasty food and good portion sizes for a reasonable price.

Best tuna jacket potato I have had in ages! So tasty and good size portions....i couldn't eat all mine. Lovely, friendly staff and very clean. We will definitely be returning!
