Abdul's Food To Go in Manchester

A go-to kebab place a few years ago. One branch of a South Manchester institution, but sadly no longer there. Chicken shop or similar now. Miss the old place, never got to buy a t-shirt.

Don't do wings , told me to go to pizza hut next door

Nice food but the man behind the counter needs to learn customer service, it is this or the language barrier.

Rude staff conned us out of half our order for home delivery, promised they'd send the rest but didnt, after I'd paid in full. Ripped is off, dishonest. On top of that disgusting burnt chicken.

Chicken & chips, certainly not what i was expecting, chicken was hard, cold with lots of lettuce n mayonnaise!

The food was so hairy that I choked. So disgusting. Never going there again.

Came here a few times now..but the last visit I made, I had hair in my food!!! it was the most disgusting experience ever..because the staff there don't cover their heads or beards! I've stopped going here for food now!

If I wasn’t so hungry I wouldn’t have eaten there, extremely poor customer service, very moody and very blunt, had a burger meal of which the meat wasn’t thrown on and got served about 8 chips with dots of sauce over them. I paid over £5 for a burger that Id be embarrassed to feed to a dog. Under par, under whelming and well under average standards.

Nice clean food. Wraps weren't tied up properly though.

I took a vegie wrap and I can say that it is one of the few places in Manchester that serve food that is not bland

Most decent kebab store in Manchester

Bought biryani for £7.20 but it was not even close to biryani. It was green peas rice with some chicken. Yukky taste.

Great food fast and good taste!

Fast food but tasted like cardboard and they didn't listen to the order properly got cans instead of bottles got chicken kebab instead of mixed. Guy just serves what he wants to give you. Chicken pakora was nasty and dry like maybe 2 weeks old or something won't be going back there

Very nice & reasonable priced food near city centre

This place provided excellent food at great value for money, making it very attractive for students. However, now that they've further increased their prices, it no longer holds such a good value, and is in the same boat as everyone else. The food is the same and the staff are friendly, but it's no longer the budget option.

Excellent kebabs at this newly refreshed kebab shop on Oxford road. Kebabs are freshly grilled and it now features burgers and Curry's too although I have not tried them. Service is quick and efficient and prices reasonable.

For the late night kebab on Oxford Rd it can only be Abdul's.

The usual servers in here are amazing and I would have given 5 stars if they're the ones who served me tonight! They already know my order off by heart after going in a few times and they are a lovely bunch. The two people who served me tonight were completely different. I ask for donner meat because I'm allergic to wheat so I can't have a kebab. I explained to the person making my order that I didn't order the bread, he nodded and still put the bread in with my order! Now I can't eat it and feel my trust with Abdul's has been ruined. I even watched one of them put the wrong meat on someone's order they wiped the meat back in and put the correct meat on the same kebab... shocking how quickly it goes down hill.

I gave this place an above Average when it first opened but now it's got even worse. The portion size has dropped drastically.. the siek kebabs are smaller and thinner meaning what you had on one kebab skewer before is now spread over two. The salad portion has all but gone and the nan bread ... well let's just say it's not as big or as thick as nans are supposed to be ... Oh and before i go ... the staff still ain't the friendliest group of guys I've ever come across

Best kebab house in Manchester, without a doubt. And the new upmarket look has made ut more of an enjoyable experience to dine at, than most indian restaurants I have visited!😎

Been coming here for decades. Nice food. The new makeover is nice but the piped music is hideous. Is it designed to drive away anyone over 25?

They've got a decent food hygiene rating but in the ten minutes or more we stood at the counter waiting to be served I watched staff switch between handling raw and cooked food without washing their hands and more. The food was mostly ok although the kids popcorn chicken (not what we ordered but they had run out of nuggets) was cooked till it was inedible.

Good wraps dependable late night snack place

Fabulous chicken kebab on the softest, freshest of naan breads! Chilli sauce is the best!

If there was an option for zero stars then thats what id have given this place. Ordered donner and chips, they looked like someones watered the whole thing down. The customer service was soooo poor, no people skills.

Got upset stomach after eating from there those people should clean the shop

The place where they cook seems to be not clean at all. In addition, they always burn kababs they sell and it is way more spicy than it should be. After eating there I feel unwell

This has been around for a while the food is cheap and cheerful... parking cn be a pain..but there is seating area here. It's in the heart of student area with the university right opposite.

Cheap and cheerful kebabs and curries catering mostly to the student crowd. Not sophisticated stuff but tasty nonetheless.

Good food but a bit expensive than other Pakistani restaurants and I find it a bit hard to justify the cost.

The donner kebabs from here are hard to beat. If like me you have a weakness for the delicious greasy bastards even when sober then be sure to call in and try one. You will not be disappointed!

2015 April... The menu on the large fixed board in the window says someting like "Abdul Specials... Chicken & salad(?) £2.30" But when I went in and ordered the "Abdul Specials... Chicken & salad"(with a smile & relaxed & being generally pleasant) he looked at me blankly and asked "You mean (something different)..., £3.50 ? ". A relaxed but rather dead conversation took place at the end of which I took him outside to read the menu. "Well we don't do that any more." So I don't know what the food tastes like but the people skills are somewhat lacking. If he'd smiled and said "Wow, I hadn't spotted that, we'll get it fixed, I can do you... " I'd have gone back in and later maybe written a 5* review. :(

An okay small restaurant. It's cheap though

A takeaway with plentiful seating, which stays open late. I could not recommend their cheesy-chips more - I'm certain that they have warded off the severe hangovers I have probably deserved. The staff are friendly and I have always been made to feel welcome.

The best authentic asian food is in Abdul's. I will surely recommend this place to everyone.

I used to frequent this place a lot when I was a student living on Oxford Road. The Lamb Biryani is to die for! Abdul's is the perfect stop off after a night out when you fancy some Indian grub. It's what you would expect from an Indian takeway but minus the crappy food. The staff are a lovely bunch too.

Best kebab ever!!! Save calories and get the chicken tikka starter (the kebab minus the bread). But the naan is amazing......

Garrry? GARRRRY!!! Love curries
