We decided to drop in for lunch as it looked rather pleasant from the outside and the menu read well. Nice atmosphere on entering and the staff were most pleasant. Unfortunately it went rapidly downhill from there. The food was absolutely disgusting. The Lebanese sausages just tasted of cloves, virtually inedible. The chicken liver was dry and looked so unpleasant and the pitta arrived in plastic bags! I’m sorry to say it was undoubtedly the worst meal I’ve ever had.

a Lebanese restaurant in London. Rating is #average. The bread was warmed in plastic bag so was soggy. The Tabooleh was chopped in large pieces. The Bamia bel zeit was served fridge cold. Feta was very liquid almost like a thick soup. The Falafel and the KHAROUF MARKOUK were very good. The Kunafa was literally bad.

I usually order from this restaurant a few times a month. I made the "mistake" of going to the restaurant and was so disappointed by the service. No cups for water, some of the dishes we ordered were forgotten, no plates to put the food in (all the food comes in shared plates), and very rushed and rude service. I believe we were served by the manager, an older gentleman in a suit. He was not friendly at all and tried to rush our entire dinner. We felt so uncomfortable. There was a hissing noise for a good 10 minutes, and when we informed the waiter he said " Oh I thought it was just me hearing it" and proceeded to go ahead with his service, without informing anyone/helping/reassuring the other clients who were clearly complaining. It was very disappointing as we brought our family here and were deeply embarrassed by the terrible treatment, generally bad service and uncomfortable experience. Sadly, will not be recommending, or ordering from here again as we do not want to support such an establishment. We are so sad about this as we love the food here and order a few times a month!

We had dinner at Abd Wahab and overall it was good: *Restaurant is large and airy...I didn't see any outdoor seating. *Service is friendly and food came out quickly. *Food itself is solid. Definitely recommend the Moujaddara and Batata Kezbra. We also ordered a Beetroot Salad which was good, Hummus, and Chicken Taouk. The only thing I didn't care for was the Seabass Provencal which was lacking in flavor so I wouldn't recommend that dish. I might return if in the area.

All I can say its the best libanese food in London. Its not cheap but its just the best you can get. Its often very busy so be patient with service but the food is so worth it. They also do takeaway if you want.

The food tasted very fresh. We got a mixed grill platter, 1/2 grilled chicken, garlic potatoes and extra toum (garlic sauce). We felt that when you order grilled food it’s easy to burn it but none of the food was burnt or had that bitter aftertaste of burnt food. We felt it was seasoned right. The keftas were tender and juicy. The Chicken came mostly deboned which was a nice surprise. The garlic sauce/toum had such a lovely creamy texture and not overly garlicy. We also ordered a side of rice. My only downside would be a plate of rice was £7.00 and had to be ordered seperately and normally eating at a Mediterranean restaurant if you order a grill platter it already comes with a bed of rice. This is not a cheap place to eat but it was tasty and the ambiance and service was worth it. The interior is classy and modern, the waiters were mostly attentive and presentation was nice! From the outside the place doesn’t look like much but as soon as you walk in you see the decor. The knafeh is a different style than we are used to so I wouldn’t have that again here but if you are Lebanese and know what authentic Lebanese knafeh should be like let me know if this hits the mark for you!

Very happy with the food quality and service. We went a bit on the early side for dinner and staff was attentive. One of our group speaks some Arabic which made for a easy chat the waiters (the Spanish assistant was charming btw). Had fattoush, hummus, baba ganoush, kibbe, falafel and some grilled meats. All fresh and tasty. Didn’t care for the plastic bagged room temperature pita however. Food for that part of London was properly priced. Lebanese wine list was rather expansive however.

An east European friend wanted to try the famous Lebanese food. We were in the middle of London’s west end where there are many Lebanese restaurants, but I took him to Abd Elwhab so as to have the famous Lebanese ice cream that I had eaten there on previous occasions. When we walked in I specifically asked if they were serving the Sahlab ice cream and I was assured that they were. We ordered some food first. I was disappointed as the food served looked and tasted pre packed, like something you might get from a supermarket, not what I would expect from a restaurant, especially given the prices being charged. At the end of our meal, undeterred and hoping the ice cream would at least in part make up for the poor standard of the food so far, we ordered the Sahlab ice cream, but what we got was nothing like what I remember having pre pandemic. It was light pink in colour and tasted more like chewing gum. I called the waitress and questioned her about the ice cream. She checked with the chef and I was told that they do not have any Sahlab and so they had just served something else instead. Why serve me something that was not the genuine item, did the chef think I would not notice? I refused it and it was taken away with no apology or any gesture of compensation. The whole experience was a massive disappointment and embarrassment. It gave my friend a very poor impression of Lebanese cuisine and culture. I would strongly advise you to avoid this place, so not to be ripped off as we were.

Appalling in every sense of the word. Being an Arab that has spent most of her life in London we have been to numerous Lebanese restaurants in my lifetime. This has been the worst experience that I have my suspicions this cannot be authentic Lebanese. My general experience with Lebanese restaurants has been that the staff are usually welcoming and even if things are overpriced, they make sure they make you feel looked after and it is well deserved. Unfortunately, it seems that on Christmas Day 2021 fate had planned for us to end up at Abd El Wahab as it is always difficult finding a place to eat with availability on Christmas Day in London. We are a family of 7 and after finding our favourite cafe closing early at 6pm we drove to Belgravia to find Abd El Wahab open and not busy and managed to conveniently park right outside the restaurant. I walked in to ask if they had availability for 7 of us and I could see that half of the restaurant was empty and yet we were told to “wait while I check if there is availability” and initially we were told there is nothing available and just before walking out suddenly something could be done and one of the empty tables was designated to us. As we walked to the table, the floor was disgustingly filthy as of not cleaned for weeks. The table and chairs had crumbs all over (all these were red flags that should have made us walk out but when you’re hungry and not wanting to cook something yourself you are inclined to accept matters!). The waiter was rude and had despicable manners. Shocking for a Lebanese restaurant when we are used to warm welcomes and excellent service and this raised our suspicions about the authenticity of this “Lebanese” restaurant. The decor is not Lebanese, service not Lebanese, food was far from Lebanese as it was bland and burnt. Portions were small and it was so disappointing that there was no flavour at all, it was as if the chef was blindly making the dishes or they had someone who does not know how to cook! Overall, my advice would be to AVOID this restaurant. Save your mood and money and go enjoy it elsewhere!!

We went there as a family of 7. We are from the middle east living in London. We had a terrible experience from start to end. The restaurant floor was so dirty and gross as if it’s never been cleaned before. The chairs and tables were not any better. Staff were so rude and unwelcoming and the service was appalling. I would rate Food taste and quality less than zero if there was an option. Unfortunately I had to chose one star to be able to submit this review.

This meal was the worst we ever had in a Lebanese restaurant, and we are all from the Middle East !! We were seven of us for dinner. The starters were extremely bland, the mains was half burnt half tasteless. The head waiter was extremely rude and abrupt. At the end of the night when we asked for the bill, he came over with the contactless machine but NO ITEMISED BILL.. he just told us what to pay each person!! One of us particularly me had to Pay £60 when the set menu was £40. I had a G &T that was supposed to be for £8 . We all shared two bottles of water, but he charged two people extra for that .. the rest he charges them £42 when they all had soft drinks and tea. !! This restaurant is a daylight robbery, and I highly recommend DO NOT VISIT OR GO THERE.

Alright there's no menu or anything like that - just a notice at the entrance to say what they've got on offer. But they do have some tasty offers at low prices if that's what you want- like lamb wrap meal deals for a tenner! Not everyone can afford Gordon Ramsay's every night!
