Sitting outside in the fresh air on this Monday afternoon ( around 12:45 ) Enjoying my fresh almond croissant and my café latte Service is good Highly recommended

Brunch entre amis, Enpanadas à emporter, le "café next door" très sympa de ce quartier. La terrasse est agréable avec peu de passage sur la rue, l'intérieur est spacieux.

Stumbled on this little gem of a cafe in Connaught Village area just now. Delicious looking salads and pastries. Sad we can't eat as we're booked for lunch elsewhere. Great coffee, lovely staff, stylish decor.

Decided to stop at Abasto for a breakfast. The bakery displayed on the counter looks amazing hence decided to sit down for breakfast. Ordered scrambled egg with toast and avocado. Came in about 5 mins. For £9.5 - I was expecting a little more but I thought let me taste. Taste was ordinary too. Certainly a little too home made. Still giving 3 stars as the displayed bakery looks good and the place was clean.

Mis amigos, mi profesora y yo hemos ido a este restaurante por primera vez este mes. Yo he pedido empanadas de carne y pollo y una media luna. Y yo he bebido agua con gas. No me ha gustado la empanada de carne porque es agria. Sin embargo, me ha encantado la media luna porque es muy dulce. Hay una variedad decente de comida y bebida de Argentina. Yo no he comido el postre típico argentino que se llama alfajor. El servicio ha sido excepcional pero el camarero ha sido un poco lento, sin embargo el camarero ha hablado con nosotros en español. Tambien, el nos ha dado un alfajor gratis. El restaurante no tiene muchas mesas, sin embargo tiene mesas fuera. Lo bueno del restaurante es el horario, está abierto la mayoria del dia, de nueve a siete. El precio no ha sido caro ni barato. Recomiendo este restaurante porque las medias lunas y los alfajores están para chuparse los dedos. Brooks Londres

Mi clase de español y yo hemos ido a este restaurante por primera vez este mes. Yo he pedido las empanadas de pollo y mi amigo ha pedido las empanadas de queso y cebolla. ¡Las empanadas son ricas! Además yo he bebido té de melocotón helado, es muy delicioso. De postre, yo he pedido un alfajor con dulce de leche. ¡Mmmh delicioso! El servicio es muy bueno porque el camarero ha sido muy rápido y ha hablado en español con nosotros. El restaurante tiene una pequeña variedad de comida argentina y es un poco caro para un estudiante. El horario es de siete de la mañana hasta las ocho de la noche. Sin embargo, lo bueno del restaurante es la ubicación porque está cerca de nuestro colegio en el centro de Londres. ¡Recomiendo este restaurante porque tiene empanadas para chuparse los dedos!

I am a regular customer at Abasto and usually go there for a couple of hours to have some food/coffee and work. Today I was there for approximately 45 minutes when I was told by an employee in front of other customers that the boss gets ‘annoyed’ that I stay at the café and work but do not order much. I had ordered a coffee and 3 empanadas so I had every right to be there, just like any other customer (especially since it hadn’t even been an hour). To add to the embarrassment, the café was not even at full capacity (and is not at full capacity any time I visit) meaning I am not detracting from potential business. The first time I visited Abasto, I asked if I could work there and was told I was allowed. I have seen many others work there too, meaning it should not be a problem. I was also not informed that there is a time limit to how long I can occupy a table for, as I’ve seen people sitting at their tables for hours. I have had a disappointing experience once before but chose to ignore it until this happened. Last time, an employee came to my table and asked me to leave within 10 minutes, while putting a reserved sign on the table, even though at least 5 other tables were empty. I was also not told that my specific table was reserved when I was seated and was not asked to move to another table but to simply leave. I was just as much of a paying customer as others there. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

Great coffee, amazing empanadas, super friendly service. Visit London often and like trying out different places, but would happily come back here.

When I walked in the shop, it looked great with a good ambiance. Then it all went downhill. Empanadas lacked flavour, and the salad was bland and tasteless. Staff not friendly. Avoid!

Sunny day, walking by,stop for lunch. What a treat. Shared Empanadas and a tortilla with a simply fantastic beetroot salad. So far so good. Make it better, have a coffee. From a superb double espresso to a delicious capachino. Make sure you do not leave without a coffee ( and the cake is not bad either). Fantastic service with a chat and a smile, you can even buy my favourite sweet paprika.

Pandemic walk stop for a coffee and cake on the go. Thinking I was supporting local businesses during this time, for a black coffee and honey cake the Bill came to £8.30 - the coffee was average and so was the cake. At these prices though you expect better!

Abasto was such a great cycle stop. Having cycled around Kensington, Holland Park and Bayswater all afternoon, standing outside Abasto with an empanada and a mocha as the evening sun went down with my mate Edwin has to be a 2021 New Year highlight. Hot and tasty empanadas to cycle back here for, service to make you feel good about life and a mocha to make you smile. I’ll be back next time I’m cycling anywhere near here!

Had lunch here. Chose the three mixed empanada - and salad. Got confused with the salad though and in fact bought the empanadas AND a salad - not a side salad as I thought I had. turned out to be quite expensive. But all of it was excellent.

I ordered a cup of tea to drink in, I was given it in a non recyclable take away cup (I asked for it in a china cup) and there was so much milk in it I threw the whole thing away. Everyone else was served in china cups so not sure why I wasn’t... service was horrible, the lady had a bad attitude. Will not go back.

El viernes pasado fui a Abasto para disfrutar de una cena con un concierto.Lo primero que hay que destacar es el lugar. . . elegante, acogedor, original y cálido, ¡no te vayas sin visitar la biblioteca en la parte de atrás!Pedí unas empanadas y estaban increíblemente deliciosas, pido más y más. . . no puedes parar! Y no solo eso, me han servido uno de los mejores vinos de la historia, un gran postre de chocolate y la música fue realmente BUENA.La gente que trabajaba allí, el propietario, sus amigos y el resto de los clientes fueron muy amables, simplemente me alegraron la noche y todos tenemos un excelente plan para los viernes. . . No puedo esperar para ir de nuevo!

I live around the corner and pass Abasto often so thought I would give it a try. I had read the enthusiastic website explanations about trying new wines and experiencing something unique. None of that enthusiasm or uniqueness was found when I went last night. When I arrived I explained it was my first visit how did it work? I might add it took about 15 mins to get served, and I was one of only two people there. While I waited I had to clear a used coffee mug off the table which I later had to ask to be removed completely, as nobody bothered to do so.When I was eventually 'served' it was with a shrug and "you want coffee?". "No, thank you wine please". "Ok" another shrug. Despite my newness, no suggestion or recommendation was offered about the wines or food. I ordered a glass of red that I consider expensive when compared to other wine bars, and a charcuterie plate. Both were good, but thanks to very loud music (first rock then rave), the top bright lights and the ongoing ignoring by the single, uninterested staff member I rushed through my meal, paid my £25 (cough) and left. In my one last attempt at connecting I said it was obviously my fault to try come for an evening meal. The answer along with the final shrug "depends what you call a meal....try the restaurant down the road".I will not be going back and I suggest that unless your need is for a take away you don't either.

Tuvimos que comer otra comida.Al día siguiente llamé para informar lo sucedido y no querían devolverme el dinero. Cada vez que estoy en Londres, me gusta aprovechar la cultura tradicional de los cafés al aire libre, especialmente en una cálida mañana de verano, disfrutando de un café bien preparado viendo pasar la vida mientras te tomas un descanso por unos momentos. Y tomando un descanso de las cadenas de café donde tienes que consultar un diccionario para pedir un café simple. Esta crítica realmente no refleja la gama de productos que este lugar tiene para vender, por lo que realmente necesito volver cuando estoy en la ciudad nuevamente. Todo lo que tenía era café y tostadas, pero en la forma en que estaba preparado, pan grueso y crujiente presentado en una tabla de madera con mucha mantequilla y conservas en lugar de esos pequeños paquetes molestos que nunca son suficientes. Mi esposa tenía el pastel de almendras que era para morirse. Servicio amable y rápido también. Gracias. La próxima vez pararemos para almorzar.

I've been to Abasto several times for coffee, this being my first time for wine. Yes, and I agree with previous reviews, it's not the cheapest but the Argentinian reds are of good quality, the service is excellent, the atmosphere calm & relaxed. I enjoyed my experience.

This is a local venue to me. Have had brunch and empanadas previously so thought we would sample a wine one summers evening. The price of the rose per glass was a complete shock! After having ordered we were told the price of £10 per glass for a small size glass. Clearly they were having us on. Silly me capitulated but suffice to say we will not return to be taken advantage of.

Estabamos caminando agotadas y de pronto vimos el nombre Abasto.. nos acercamos y estaban cerrando pero nos atendieron súper bien nos convidaron con vinos y empanadas por ser Argentinas! Lo súper recomiendo todo el staff es divertido y muy buena onda.. si pasás por Londres no dejes de visitarlos!

Just a few blocks from Marble Arch/ Edgware Road, a bit overpriced, I had beef, chicken and a caprese empanada and my sister had also blue cheese empanada, they were tasty but a bit small in size and quantity for the price (6 x empanadas = £17). Facturas were not as good and not very varied, they also had pastafrola, which was nice and some cakes... The wine selection was quite big. I would recommend the place, very cosy, service was casual and chilled. 6 empanadas, 2 cokes, 2 facturas and a portion of pastafrola came up to £35. We were left a big hungry, so maybe not the best choice for lunch but a good appetiser!

Simple restaurant, with very good food and excellent wine. Very Argentinian, and my friends from Argentina loves it and knows all the waiters because they are also from Argentina.

Lugar pequeño y acogedor, con una gran selección de productos aparte de lo que hay en el menú. Empanadas de muchas variaciones, tanto para carnívoros como vegetarianos, aperitivos y una extensa lista de vinos hace que sea difícil elegir, pero luego de ser recomendado por un amigo argentino, terminó muy satisfecho, tanto con comida como con bebidas, pero también Por el servicio amable y entusiasta. Este lugar será revisado!

Excellent find. Not in a place where you would expect. The wine selection is only from Argentina. We had a grand Malbec..The place is languorous and makes.you want to spend more time there. Accompanied the wine with a cheese board. That was excellent too.

Hace un mes viajé a Londres, y unos amigos me dijeron tenes que ir a Abasto a comer empanadas con buen vino, y ahi fui. Realmente un lugar muy cálido, con atención impecable, las empanadas tanto de carne, el fatai, y las vegetarianas son de lo mejor que he probado, inclusive comparando con lugares en argentina. Diria que está entre mis top ten ! jaaaa bueno les recomiendo el Fatai, la de chorizo ibérico, va todas... Un cafe con un alfajorcito de maizena casero, te lleva a otro mundo ! Es para conocer si viajan a Londres.

Picked up a cheeky bottle of Argentinian wine here as I was recommended by the shop next door. You can tell this place is at the heart on the neighborhood, it has a great calm and homely feel. The wine is fantastic.

Situado en una belleza absoluta de un vecindario con delicias florales y un lugar para observar a la gente raramente igualado; este punto caliente ofrece empanadas para morirse, conocimiento del vino y variedad que podría sostener una vela ante cualquier especialista de Majestic y un personal que se deje engañar por educar y entretener. Muy recomendable para una parada individual rápida o una ocasión más larga con amigos. La 'bodega' en la parte trasera podría albergar muchas buenas noches, ¡volveré!

I'be been here twice and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The empanadas are delicious and the service is very friendly. I also go there every time I'm in London to stock up on some Argentinian goodies. Great coffee!

I have visited this place several times, always trying something new. The empanadas and Spanish tortilla were delicious, as was their almond cake. You can relax here. They welcome dogs and that makes the place feel even more comfortable.

Hidden away only a few minutes walk from the hectic shopping and business areas of central London, this is a true gem. Quite enough to have a business meeting in or a long intimate chat with your friends. The front room is a lovely cafe and the back room a wine bar. You can also buy deli produce.

Me gusto mucho la propuesta del lugar porque podes comprar buenos productos como tomarte un rico café con algo dulce en el salón principal.... Y detrás: una buena mesa rodeada de buenos vinos donde lo más complicado es elegir que beber!!! Recomendable!!!!

Estamos cerca de Connaught Square y descubrir esta tienda, cafetería y bar de vinos para explorar la nighborhood. Hay una excelente selección de vinos, que se puede tomar o disfrutar en la tienda. La tienda también vende jamón, queso y algunos objetos pequeños de carnes incluyendo de comida que se pueden disfrutar en el café. Elegimos las empanadas, que estaban muy bien. Este es sin duda un vecindario agradable lugar que vale la pena visitar.

We discovered this place by chance, when walking around the Connaught square. It is a mixed venue, where you can enjoy some simple dishes and also stock on Spanish and latinamerican goods. We really liked our "empanadas". We tried the lamb and the spinach variations and both were excellent, with a juicy filling and very tasty, golden dough. Concerning the shop, they sell Spanish cured Spanish meats and cheese, including jamon Iberico and varieties of salchichon and chorizo. There are also specialities from latinamerica, like alfajores from Argentina, together with preserves and jams.Personnel were friendly and the space to seat is inviting. A recommendable place if you are in the area.

I love the coffee here and the staff are so friendly. They stock some brilliant Argentinian produce such as wine, steak, acorn fed bacon/salami and a to die for caramel spread (crema de leche).

Lovely new corner in Connaught, small and cosy and family-friendly. Also deli and butcher and winery.
