A2 Delicious in Lewisham

The restaurant is clean and the food is very good. The staff are courteous and the menu is extensive. It was a good night out with friends and we all enjoyed the meals. We also had the opportunity to watch a football match.

They have very pleasant staff. The music was great and the television showed some sports. Good service, great food.

Went alone late on a Wednesday evening looking and acting positively like a tourist with no clue as to stuff, but an interest in trying new food. Waitress didn't offer much help in describing what I wanted, prices seemed a bit high in the menu, comparing to what was online. Ordering something (Ogbono) that I vaguely had an idea of, I sat down to wait. What I got was a cake of dough, four pieces of meat in brown sauce and a bowl of water, without an explanation how it all works. Having been to African places before, it was obvious to me how it worked. Or at least so I imagined. The four pieces of meat were large, but only one was edible. One of them was just bone and gristle and two were so tough pieces of skin that you couldn't get a piece out of them anyway. Definitely not going back and really puts me off of trying new cuisines like this. Probably should've tried the more inviting looking place on the opposite side of the street, but had heard good things about this one. Avoid.

I have being visiting this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed my time there. The food is always delicious(true to its name). The atmosphere has a lot of character. Love the ambiance. Still Live bands on Friday. A welcomed added entertainment is the DJ on a Saturday and Sunday nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. Menu needs to be reviewed as many of the items on the menu were no more being served in the restaurant kind of pointless having it in the menu. I would recommend a visit if you are looking for good African or Nigerian food to eat in Southeast London.
