A1 Kebabish in Newham

Just ordered from uber eats i got a kebab roll which was fine and a chicken samosa which was burnt rock hard how could you serve this to your customer?

Hard to give a kebab place 5* but the chicken doner here is really tasty! Very tender and well marinated. The sauce is really tangy and nicely spicy. Will be back!

too much chilli sauce on kebab roll, literally dripping from box ruined the food

I ordered a mix chicken sheesh and lamb sheesh on naan it had a stale re heated meat taste definitely was not fresh. Gave me a stomach ache. Could not eat it had to throw away. If you want to order something from here it’s best to order something that will be prepared fresh

They have absolutely no idea what is shawarma . Secondly they gave us shawarma with ketchup and mayo on top .:/

Best chicken donner with loads of sauce and salad. The portion is great, the food tastes good and the staff are quick with service and attentive. This place has been around for ages so it needs no introductions. I rate this place above the other Kebabish style shops. Next time I go I'll try the curries but so far the donner and the kebab rolls are fantastic.

Mixed Vegetables consisited of peas and potatoes. Should have stated that instead of 'mixed vegetables '. The who food was covered in oil where packing was not done properly and leaked. All the naans covered in oil. Disgraceful and not worth the money spent. Will not be ordering from this buisness again.

This place is going from bad to worse. All the curries poorly made and they're stingy on the meat. Microwaved curries. So stopped ordering curries. The only last thing they were decent on were the keema nans. And even that is now unacceptable. The 2 keema naans were burnt and empty, just thick wet bread and wafer thin layer of keema on outer edges. Should not be sending out substandard food which customers are paying for. Waste of money.

mix grill extra large. full of chichen chopped up and tiny pieces, hardly any meat it was so tiny and hard meat, not edible. won't be ordering again. (why choppe everything in such tiny pieces)

Just had a bit of a language barrier but sorted out very quickly, absolutely lovely tasty, and generous portion sizes I had chicken teka which I found a bit too spicy so added lots of the mint sauce stuff to cool it down a bit but that’s cool as I love that sauce

Si fuera posible darle una estrella 0, definitivamente lo haría. En primer lugar, cuando entramos, la cocina estaba sucia y la sartén en la que estaban calentando el donador de pollo estaba muy sucia. En general, toda la cocina no era higiénico. La comida era tan repugnante, que cuando la comida salió en un plato no se veía apetitosa. El doner era tan viejo y seco, se nota que sabía uno o dos días, no sabía fresco, y estaba tan seco a pesar de que estaba cubierto de salsa que el doner de pollo estaba extremadamente seco. Pasando a los kebabs que pedimos, ninguna palabra puede describir lo intorable que era el sabor, cuando venía en un plato se veía mal cocido, y la carne de kebab apestaba tan mal que olía como si estuviera caducada, había literalmente agua goteando y estaba apestando tanto que tuvimos que devolverlo y ni siquiera pedimos un reemplazo, así de malo era. No hay palabras para lo decepcionado que estoy, mientras crecía solía ir con mi familia aquí todo el tiempo y desde entonces ha ido tan cuesta abajo y repugnante, definitivamente no vale la pena su dinero y tiempo!

Very disappointed with the service and the lack of concern for getting the order wrong , was handed over someone else's order which was already packed .When i contacted them back once i got home and realised they were not bothered asked if they could deliver the right order, they were not interested. They made up excuses that they had no delivery driver and wasn't bothered that gave the wrong order. Just said keep the order (which wasn't much to keep ) . They should have owned the mistake and rectified it. Clearly they don't care about customers and not bothered about losing customers. I will not recommend this place and will not be going back!

I only go here for there Lamb Sheek Kabab, with friends. They never seems to fail always getting the large portion. I only eat their Lamb Sheek Kabab so my stars only on this dish, cannot comment on the rest of the food. If this was just for Sheek kabab 4/5.... As I do not give five unless the taste keeps me stuffing myself. Very much value for money, with service by the waitress and busy atmosphere overall 4 stars, well done.

Been a regular customer for over 25 years . Food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. My kids grew up wanted to eat their mix grill. We moved from Manor Park to East Ham still love there food. DONT KNOW WHERE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM. Went today for lunch. DELICIOUS-as usal. Best chilly sauce ever. Service was brilliant and big portions lots left over for my dinner 😋

Thankfully we chose this restaurant on 26/7/24 after attending my graduation ceremony in East London! +Staff were very welcoming, kind & accommodating. +Ambience was likeable which was in part due to the Pakistani decor & cutlery. +The lamb curry, kebab & chicken tikka rolls were very tasty , fresh with plentiful sauces and salad! +The prices are much cheaper than overrated southall & the quality of food & service is much higher! - The nan was a bit hard, instead of preferred fluffy. Only problem is we aren't local or we would be back every week!

KEBABS MEAT WAS SMELLY FAT AND CHEWY. BIRYANI WAS OK BUT LACKING MASALA. WE READ THE REVIEWS BEFOREHAND BUT THEY MUST BE FAKE. Worst biriyani i have ever had.. its like mix with curry thats it.. lamb and chicken both..the kebab was average.. will never order from here

Used to be really good about 5 years ago. Changed alot of recipes. Now its dead. Fried chicken is made of something really weird now. Like Aata from a chapati. Everything else is off too... would not eat here, unless you need a cleanse of your intestines. Almost guaranteed to clean up your insides for a few days after eating here.

Been going to A1 kebabish for over 20 years now. Always excellent service and great food too! We love their kebab rolls and chips and treat ourselves to it very often. The best thing is they’ve maintained the great taste over the years. Couldn’t recommend enough 😊

Been there for years. Love the chilli sauce that comes with chips. There keema naan is highly recommended. The fried chicken can be improved it's very floury tasting.

It was bad experience, ordered fish but fish was swimming in oil and on top he put fish on Roti and sauces on top of it, so it was like not eatable, bad experience

Haleem was not nice and tasted sweet. Lamb Curry was tasty. Naan and Roti fresh and hot. Service could be better.

The chicken donor has gone down the hill. Not cooked right and not what it used to be like. Samosa was very oily. But recommend their kebab roll with their sauces and desi chai. Staff were awesome as usual.

I have been coming to this place to eat for many years. The double kebab roll with salad, chilli sauce and mayo is quality. The chicken donner is another reason why I always go. At least once a month I go so yes I am a regular. I enjoy the Pakistani samosas to, veg or keema..... I'm not fussed. I always eat in, so I can get the vibe that I am in Pakistan 🇵🇰

Alhamdullilah, excellent food, excellent service. The naan stood out for me today as I have never seen a perfect piece of naan until today. Not overcooked, not burnt, just perfect. And it went well with the seekh kebabs which were fantastic. The lamb biryani was full of flavour and taste. Excellent overall, would recommend! Ma sha'a Allah!

Unless you know what real food is then eat here. When I went home and saw the food, was insulted. I’ve stopped coming here a long time ago due to the poor quality food but this occasion I was starving to the point I felt sick and couldn’t be bothered to walk further (which I regret). Customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very wooden and seemed like he was a robot SPINACH and LAMB CURRY ⭐️⭐️ The saag was added in the takeaway box which took up space so it meant less meat. Took up quarter of the space. - UNDER-SEASONED Had to add all purpose (see images) - OILY Not sure whether I filled up on oil or the meat. Complete joke (see image) - NOT ENOUGH MEAT A quarter of the portion was just masala/sauce (see images) - STILL LEFT HUNGRY Didn’t fill me up even though it was £12.99 for a large! (You can get cheaper curries down the road for £9.95) Also there was depressing ambient violin music playing in the background. Overall, not surprised the food was poor and as planned NEVER TO RETURN unless it’s a dire emergency.

Hi. This is not chicken Donner, it's chopped Ch meat throw in oven to be ready to eat. Source: I was expect souce separate! If you buy for child do not ask souce!! Salad: top on meat , logically comes separately. I was try many Donner , the best is in east ham close to Lloyds Bank. The really do Donner , souce, salad, chips come separately, and exactly same price like same portion. I will not use again this fast food shop. Thx Robert

An old gem. This place has been around for years and kept up the quality of food. If not thee but one of the best chicken donners in London. Lamb/chicken Currys are good too. Can be hit and miss depending what time of the week you go but generally really good.

Great taste. From the curries to the meat grille. Regular jaunt. Update: I'll always come back. That lamb bhunna with brown rice is delicious. Especially with their mayo and chilli sauce combo. Just wonderful.

The taste of the food was good but with kebabs they should serve nun at least, after all we are paying tons of money for this food! The chicken kebab was good, tasted flavorful but the lamb one was not good at all.

Service was great, served very nicely and also restaurant was clean and atmosphere was also ok. This has been the go to place if you are looking quick yet hearty, well cooked meal. Fantastic value for money and a family friendly, welcoming environment inside.They also customized the food according to your taste. Really recommend their chicken kabab , it was soft, tender, perfectly marinated.

Good, simple food done well. I always order kebab rolls for takeaway from here and they bang. Perfectly spiced and seasoned meat, with beautifully made naans, flavoursome sauces, and fresh veg. Only issue is that they forgot to pack my gulab jamun once. Was quite disappointed because I always need a sweet pick-me-up after the spiciness of their kebab rolls, and I was robbed of my gulab jamun which I’d paid for. Still giving 5 stars though, because everyone makes mistakes, and I’ve never had any other issues with this place. Also I was refunded, thankfully, by JustEat.

All the dishes was appetising, delicious, and fresh. Would definitely recommend and would go again, and with their cheap price, you can't go wrong.

Went after a break with friends to give farewell to one of our relatives. Everyone enjoyed the food most. XL Mixed grill was huge, we ordered an extra medium mixed grill as well. Lamb karahi and dal was also nice. Mixed grill was very different from other local restaurants and everything was different and juicy. Service was also great, served very nicely and also restaurant was clean and atmosphere was also good. Recommend !!!
