A Sushi Bar in Liverpool

Tasteless sushi. Ramen broth was water with no taste, and with questionable pieces of seafood floating around in it. Everything was clearly frozen and reheated. Soft shell crab was soggy and had not been fried recently

Been a regular to this place ever since I moved to UOL, the employees are so humble and friendly. The orders are made very quick and are really good. Compared to the neighbouring store this one is much better. Only critic to the owner is to try and add student friendly meals or offers to make this place a banger.

We loved the restaurant. The food is exquisite and the staff very attentive. Great prices. To make a point, I would have liked the eggs in the ramen to have been truly marinated and not just boiled eggs. Marinated egg is an important ingredient in ramen and we didn't like how it was served. The rest, great.

For the price I have to say it was the worst value sushi. Low end supermarket ‘quality’. Very disappointing and one to avoid.

Slimy and tasteless Uber eats delivery, not good at all.

I wanted something gentle on my stomach and I got just what I wanted, delicious too. The portions are large for a good price and the service is fast and accurate.

Disappointing unfortunately. This was the Miso ramen. Egg was not fresh (?reheated). Char sui was wafer thin. Broth was nice. Poor value for money at £10.

Just had Tonkatsu Ramen there for the first time and last time... I lived in Japan for a while so I do have a standard in mind for Ramen and this was not great sadly. FOOD; Three dry hard pieces of Tonkatsu Pork that had the texture of a leather boot. Standard boiled egg, mot even Ajitsuke style. Bland broth (the broth makes or breaks it). More bean sprouts than noodles. Paid £10 but honestly it's not worth more than £5. Had better instant Ramen honestly off the shelf from Tesco and you can tell them broth was store bought Miso. SERVICE; Service was quick and paid/ordered at counter. No complaints here.

The food is great, the staff in the A sushi bar are great and if the food is delivered the delivery drivers are great also, I have never experienced anything negative to mention.

The manager here is officially a Chinese thief A-few days ago I ordered sushi and ramen they put cold sushi next to hot ramen in package and sushi melted and I couldn't eat sushi I called the manager reported the problem he said I will refund the money back to you of only sushi but he said lie and didn't refund the money He ate the money like a dirty thief I swore to him if he didn't refund I will leave reviews truly what he did!!!!

I went to Cheung Kee. I have tried many of this store in the past, but it is a bit different from the ones in Hong Kong.

Excellent lunch with miso, super fresh sashimi, excellent tempura, edamame etc. under £60 for three of us. A real piece of Japan tucked away around the corner from the Philharmonic. The place is spotlessly clean and a good atmosphere.

A Sushi Bar is a great place if you are craving Japanese cuisine, it is conveniently close for any Uni students and a great location in general in Liverpool. We ordered the Udon tempura set , salmon set, the unagi sushi platter, as well as tokoyaki. The people were kind and the food was great, absolutely no complaints, however it seems perhaps to avoid ordering delivery (from other reviewers) as it is just an overall better experience with both quality and service if you just eat at the restaurant. Food: 8.7/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 9/10

service and food was amazing ! we were served by a young girl who was very attentive 💕🙂 my boyfriend asked to order and pay for a single piece of sashimi for our cat and they let us have it on the house, how kind ! definitely coming again :D

Despite ordering a delivery from my accommodation, they didn't even call me to let me know when it arrived. I called them to find out they put the food at the reception and it was already cold. What was I supposed to do? I was perplexed

Order placed via Uber Eats at 17:40, marked as 'Out for Delivery' at 18:15, nothing by 19:00, 'Expected Delivery' changed to '19:15' now 20:00 and still no sign. Regardless of the quality of the food when and if it does eventually arrive, it's just not worth the hassle. I took the risk of trying somewhere new as I had a voucher, comparatively my regular Miru Sushi in Anfield has always been quick, fresh and most importantly - fast. Would recommend you give this one a miss and check out Miru instead if you're within their delivery cachement. Edited to add: We have also attempted to call the restaurant in excess of 10 times throughout the wait as directed by Uber, and not once has the phone been answered. (eventually cancelled around 9pm by Uber Support who also failed to get a response from the restaurant, hooray)

The food we got was outstanding, very fresh and delicious, im just very disappointed with the attitude of one of the members of staff. We didn’t receive the rice that comes with the sweet & sour so I called and explained that it was missing and they guy who answered just said the chef definitely put it in and hung up on me, if I was going to lie about a missing item it certainly wouldn’t be steamed rice, what a shame because the food is incredible

The most delicious Sushi. Very fresh.

Ordered food from here and they refused to delivery it after waiting nearly 2 hours for it. I have a feeling this was due to the fact they would be closing and decided not to do the food at all or they forgot to do the food in the first place.

Food is great and, for a selection made fresh upon ordering, is great quality and a good price. Sushi is amazing, would recommend the avocado sake (salmon) maki. Hot food is great too, loved the chicken teriyaki and the fried rice. Katsu curry was alright was needed a little more of a kick to it but generally a good meal over all. I eat here frequently and every time it’s been good, and I’ve never had a single complaint.

Easily (and I mean easily) the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The only redeeming factor was the price but to be honest that only exacerbated my suspicions that I would end the night vomiting into the toilet after the food arrived. The place was dirty and had non existent service - not even a sign to tell you whether you should order at the bar or just wait until you die for a waitress to take your order (all signs were in Chinese). Food was quick to arrive, suspiciously quick; almost as if it had been pulled out of a freezer and microwaved. We had the yakitori skewers and the biggest sushi platter - the yakitori was slimy and tasted odd - odd enough to cause concern. Drinks arrived after the starters (after we prompted that they were missing). The fish in the sushi platter (which was much smaller than you'd expect) had clearly been frozen, and the sashimi was butchered and cut into rough lumps. The table we ate on was sticky and so was the menu. I won't be surprised if this place gets shut down by a health inspector. Cheap though - if you fancy a roll of the dice!

My first time trying sushi and i can honestly say it was amazing the qaulity of the food and presentation service was good very accommodating definitely would go again. And recommend this place.

Sushi was amazing, and good customer service lovely restaurant would recommend. However the chicken Yakitori was pink and raw. Ramen tasted very fishy dispute being vegetarian. Otherwise lovely

Outstanding sushi and related Japanese food, beautifully served. Have been several times with family, all fans of Japanese food, all happy every time. Highly recommended!

Best Authentic Sushi Bar in Town! It's great to find a Sushi bar which has the less appreciated Octopus, Crab and Salmon Caviar Nigri on offer! Was Delighted to find Unagi Don (Grilled Eel) on the menu too which was cooked to perfection! Left me and my girlfriend very happy! Would reccomend to anyone lookong for amazing sushi at a decent price! Will be back again soon!

Definitely one of our favourite places to eat out. A Great selection of very high quality sushi and comfortable setting.

AVOID! Ordered food on Deliveroo at 19.14pm estimated delivery 19.55pm … called restaurant at 20.30pm to ask if it was on its way to be told 10 mins. Call again at 20.50pm to be laughed at by the rude woman on the other end of the phone. Food arrived 1.45hrs later. 0 customer service skills. Certainly won’t be ordering from them again.

Got miso ramen (spicy), terriyaki chicken with rice and unagi avocado sushi. Low score because the miso ramen was disappointing - good broth but stale pork, a pile of stuck noodles and bad proportions on its elements, it felt like pasta with soup, not ramen. Terriyaki chicken slightly better, taste was alright but the skin felt a bit slimy. Rice and veggies fine. The highlight was sushi which was good, so maybe wort sticking with just that, as the name suggests.

Everything is really fresh and tasty, best sushi place in Liverpool!

This is our favourite sushi place (so far) in Liverpool. Very reasonably priced, the food is always freshly prepared, and service is quick. They have a decent-sized menu and also do things like ramen and other noodles. They're located in an area heavily populated with East-Asian students, which makes me think this place is even more legit.

A bit far from where we live but food is so good that we keep driving 20 minutes each way for it! Great sushi and mains. So far, the best sushi I had in Liverpool.

Literally my favourite sushi place ever went last night. Always so pleasant and the sushi is so fresh and not overly priced. Love these guys

Nice selection, good customer's service

Great experience here! We had the sashimi platter, volcano and unagi rolls, and char kuey teow. Sashimi was a good size and fresh, rolls were delicious and the unagi roll was really good with generous portion of unagi!! My only comment would be the size of some the rolls were too big! 😂 a fantastic surprise was the char kuey teow, it was really well cooked! The taste and frying was perfect and reminded me of back home. Service was extremely friendly and timely. I will definitely be back to try more!!

We ordered last mins and the food arrived in 20 mins wow the flavours, smells and well done on the sushi and hot meals, kids loved it and definitely will order again. Keep up the great food to Fairfield👍

Not had fresh sushi in a year and had a massive craving for it. Found A sushi bar on just eat and just amazing! The classic sushi set and unagi nigiri was mouthwateringly good should have got two of each.. Will be eating in after lockdown
