The food was delicious and the staff are all very friendly.. I will bring my whole team for lunch next week !! Good food ❤️❤️❤️❤️

805 was suggested for us by a Nigerian person. We had high expectations but it was quickly dispelled. We ordered the corn on the cob which was nice but had zero salt. They forgot to give us cutlery and glasses and we had to keep asking for it. We ordered the jollof rice with beef and another with goat meat. The beef was literally black and extremely tough and chewy. Very nervous meet, extremely low quality for the price we payed. The goat was ok but it had a lot of bones and chewy. Overall I would not recommend this place to no one. Save your time and money. Avoid at all costs.

I have always enjoyed the fish this time around it was soggy with no favours not worth the money spent.

I have been waiting for my food for 1 hour and 20 minutes, which is rice, plantain and salad, as that’s the most I’ll get for plant-based. I requested vegetables, but it has fish. Then, then salad came with egg! A large restaurant- with two toilets.

I ordered food online today. It was the most horrible pepper soup I’ve ever tasted! Who adds vegetable oil to peppersoup???? Who does sh#t like that?! And the jollof rice was just full of ginger. The stew tasted so weird. No cutlery came with the order. Never again.

Disgusting food, barely edible and rude staff. Better to go to Enish. This place has deteriorated massively, surprised they're still in business. The owner should be ashamed to put his name to such an establishment.

It's a shame about this restaurant, I have been to this restaurant about 4 times in a number of years, the service is categorically dire and that's putting it lightly, incompetent staff, moody looking waitresses and just terrible customer services from start to finish, it really is a shame as the food is impeccable and very well prepared, needless to say i will never go back if I'm craving Nigerian food I'll try Enish the next time and see how things are there. Also the toilets need regular cleaning.

My recent visit to 805 Restaurants left me with an extremely disappointing impression. The service I received was nothing short of terrible, starting with the waiter who attended to my table. The waiter's rude and dismissive demeanor was completely unexpected and made the dining experience uncomfortable from the very beginning. To make matters worse, the wait time for our food was exceptionally long, exceeding an hour. Throughout this frustrating ordeal, not once did we receive an apology or an explanation for the delay. It felt as though our time and patronage were of little importance to the restaurant. After enduring such poor service, I decided to voice my concerns to the manager in hopes of finding some resolution. However, even the manager's response was disappointing. He appeared indifferent and showed little interest in addressing our grievances. It was evident that our complaints fell on deaf ears, leaving us feeling unheard and dissatisfied. A restaurant's success lies not only in the quality of its food but also in the level of service provided to its customers. Regrettably, 805 Restaurants fell short in both aspects during my visit. The lack of courtesy, dismissive attitude, and prolonged wait time have left a lasting negative impression on my dining experience. As a result of this unsatisfactory encounter, I cannot recommend 805 Restaurant to others. The overall experience was marred by the disrespectful service and the lack of consideration for its patrons. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and endeavors to improve the quality of their service in the future. In the meantime, I will be seeking alternative dining options that value their customers and prioritize providing a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

Truly awful. Took over an hour to bring food. When it came the meat was largely inedible - gelatinous unidentifiable lumps. Drink prices are very steep - £11.50 for a beer. They ran out of the lager we were drinking so I was offered Orijin, which wasn’t even beer but when I complained they refused to replace it. The waitress that recommended it dismissively said “I don’t drink beer, how should I know?”

My Nigerian friend took me to explore his native cuisine. It was a good experience, and I might return to try more. This restaurant is worth checking out if you're looking for local and good Nigerian cuisine. However, the decor and food presentation could have been more memorable, unique - traditional. Santana is a starter, marinated and spicy gizzard, was perfectly seasoned with traditional Nigerian spices, providing a delightful taste without being too spicy. Unfortunately, tho some of it was a bit hard to chew. Another starter - Nkwobi, a delicacy made of cow foot mixed in spicy palm oil sauce, had a bitter taste and some of it a crunchy texture that I like, but overall it is not my cup of tea. For the main course, the grilled fish with smoked jollof rice, fried yum, and plantain was a better experience, especially the rice was a true standout - the flavours were rich, with tender fish perfectly cooked and seasoned. Just be sure to check with the staff if you have a low tolerance for spiciness, as the seasoning can be vibrant. Prices are reasonable for some dishes, but starters are overpriced.

805 Hyde Park Location - AVOID A group of 10 of us went to this location to celebrate our sisters birthday. None of us has ever visited this location and hoped the new location would result in a new experience. We were wrong My sister booked in advance and was informed that the full menu would be available and that we would have 4 waiters looking after us. Only two were present, neither wrote anything down and thus almost every dish was wrong Twenty minutes into ordering our meals we were informed that they could not fulfill the mixed grill dish and later were told that they did not have ANY type of fish stew. Very disappointing On top of that they refused to offer sensible alternatives and use any initiative or discretion to make up for this. The bill was wrong and they made us pay for items we didn’t order and unfortunately the birthday girl left the restaurant very upset. The food- 6/10 at best. Nothing earth shattering I hope 805 management take this feedback on board and instead of just hiking their prices actually invest in their staff. Hire people that are experienced to lead your teams Hire entry level waiters and provide training But all in all they should learn that people are leaving their homes to come and dine out and are owed a good experience Serving us food alone is not a good customer experience - making your patrons feel good about paying and leaving remembering what a good experience they had is! All in all I will never return to their locations but would order takeaway.

Came here as a group and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Haven’t been here for a while so nice to see the quality of the food has not declined. Had the tilapia with plantain and cooked really nice. The others had it with yam. Staff very friendly although we’re busy so it took a little time before they took our orders. Will come back soon

This literally was the worss experience ever, look at what i was given as chicken , 2 peices of bone, freezing cold and burnt rice , the manager then told me that i should drive and hour back to exchange the food when i said this is outrageous he told me that this is the normal process and that if it was any other shop id have do same (manager named ray) disgusting behaviour i will never ever dine here again in my life or tell any other human to do so. You should be ashamed and you charged me £42 for 2 portions of rice chicken and moi moi you guys are actual theives.

Ordered a take away which included fried yam. Went to pick up and asked the waiter to check if the fried yam was included, she confirmed it was without checking despite twice asking and telling her because I lived far from the restaurant. Rather she told me it was sealed in a contained which had been wrapped with cling film. Got home no fried yam. Called to complained and they asked that I come back to collect the fried yam. Considering the price of fuel and where I lived it was not worth it. Felt the way they dealt with complaint was very poor. They should have offered a goodwill gesture to make it worth my while to travel. Also found I had paid nearly £20 for king prawns to only get 3! I would avoid restaurant.

Read the mixed reviews so decided to try it with my cousin. We went on a Thursday, so it was not packed. We entered and waited to be seated and no one was around, we saw a guy in uniform and asked him to seat us. Our table was underneath the speakers with music playing and couldn’t hear ourselves so we asked to move and we were moved. Ordering was quick, but they never had the Nigerian Fanta which we really wanted. We ordered beef suya for starter, My cousin had pounded yam and egusi soup and I had Jollof rice, assorted meat, Plaintain for main. In my assorted meat there was more cowfoot than anything else, little disappointing.. Over than that overall it was ok.Looking for Nigerian food, this is a place you will like.

They need to train their waiters. The service is poor. You have to keep chasing them to order. After waiting for almost 2 hours for food, they came back and said the food ordered had finished. Unacceptable service for such charges they apply.

We went there for dinner and although it is quite a busy place the food was really quite good , There were 3 of us and we had a few tapas dishes and some other larger sharing dishes and every one of them were very tasty .Service was quick although its not a place to linger longer .

I am an European lady passionate about the African food and culture. 805 Restaurant is a nice place to go and have a good meal. Atmosphere it's nice ( I prefer the previous settings more though Just my opinion). Anyway, food is delicious but the service not great at all. Two weeks ago, on a Friday I've ordered a take away over the phone and I was told that it would be ready to collect in 30 mins. I arrived at the restaurant 25 mins after I placed my order and I had to wait extra 30 mins to collect my food. Everyone kept telling me that I should wait another 5 mins, and another 5 mins for half an hour. Even though there was enough staff, everyone was standing behind the bar and no one was looking after the customers. While I was waiting to collect my take away, people from another 3 tables came at the bar to complain about the poor service. The manager that night was looking lost and unexperienced (not the guy with glasses that works there for few years, this was the first time I saw him) He did not even bother to offer me a glass of water for the inconvenience considering how hot it was inside.

Went for Mothers' Day with family. Starter took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it was wrong!! Hence did not pay for starter.

My son booked this restaurant as a Mother's day treat for me. He initially booked for 12:00pm on Sunday. My husband noticed on the website that it did not open till 1:00pm on Sunday's. He phoned up to check and was told it was usually :00pm but as it was mother's day, it would be opening at 12:30pm. We arrived at 12:40pm to find a waitress at the door phoning someone inside to let her in. Whilst we were waiting, someone walked up to ask her if he would be able to get a table, to which she responded - No, as he had not booked.

On the 27th of March 2019, after a long hard day at work and dealing with my numerous food cravings due to pregnancy. I ordered yam porridge (Asaro)and plantain with chicken for £16 from 805 restaurant in Hendon. My husband picked up the food from the restaurant and as soon as I attempted to eat the food it tasted foul like it has gone off. I asked my husband to taste it Incase it was my taste buds and he spat it out as it was really foul.

805 has been around for a while and it has been some years since I last visited this establishment.

I’ve gone there many times and though the food is amazing I must say the service is sub-par. All the times I’ve been there I’ve had to wait ages (30-45 minutes) to be served, let alone receiving food and getting the bill.

Table booked in advance and there was no table when we arrived. Waited nearly an hour to be served. Waited an hour for the food to arrive. Waiters/ waitresses unfriendly. Food ok. I wouldn’t go back again.

I booked 805 for my baby shower. The staff were unprofessional and rude. When I booked the venue I was told by the manager that I could have the venue till 7 but on the day of the shower the staff tried to push us out around 5. They turned down the music and dimmed the lights on our section to try to force us out. When we complained I was told that I should of been out of the venue earlier. I told them that was not the agreement I had. It seems like the staff just make up the rules as they go along. There should be a set way of dealing with bookings of large groups. The staff tried to make us very uncomfortable. The restaurant also got our buffet order wrong. I have no plans to return. Enish restaurant isn’t too far and the food is good. 805 needs to learn how to treat paying customers.

Booked and arrived slightly late (20mins) with a group of friends who had wanted Nigerian food and the nice atmoshphere most Nigerian restaurants have. We called before leaving central london and driving to this location and were told it would be fine. Got there and were left waiting before the manager took us down the road to what seemed to be anothe bar/restaurant. We were then given menus which did not have the Nigerian food which we drove all the way there to eat. A new manager came and informed us that this was a different restaurant. We then saw the manager from 805 bringing in more customers (overspill) from his restaurant to this more club like environment. In the end after complaining the 805 manager and this bar manager seemed to reach an agreement and provided us with 805 menus. A disgruntled manager from the new place made it look like he was doing us a favor. The waitress took her time to serve us and when she did oh boy was it unprofessional. She at one point after waiting for 50mins for food informed us the customers that she was not the cook!! The food eventually came and it was warm and not hot. The pepper soup was not nice and had tiny morsels of mushy fatty meat, the yam porridge (asaro) and other meals we had were decent, but the entire experience was ruined by the poor service, poor food delivery, poor tasting food.The icing on this nightmare scenario was the chicken suya, which was boiled mashy chicken and diced peppers in a bowl covered in some sort of fake suya sauce, absolutely HORRIBLE! For the price paid for Nigerian food this was totally a WASTE of TIME and MONEY...

I’m not usually that person who leaves reviews on restaurants, as I’m fortunate enough to have not had too many bad restaurant experiences. On this occasion However I feel it important to highlight this establishment in particular because a) The cuisine offered here is part of my culture and I want to champions such businesses to enable them to prosper and b) constructive feedback can help achieve this goal and ultimately (hopefully) get better. So everything said in the proceeding lines is based on a first time experience whilst attending a family birthday dinner.

Hola, porque es asunto tuyo y eres visible en el sitio, así que quítate de encima y, al menos, escúchame, en lugar de contarme acerca de tu otro negocio y de lo ocupado que estabas, cuando todo lo que hacías era conversar con una familia que tenía su comida De todos modos conseguí que uno de los pesebres me hablara, pero en ese momento ya estaba pospuesto. Me ofreció que no deberíamos pagar, pero no salí para una comida gratis, obtuve mi dinero, todo lo que pido es un buen servicio al cliente junto con una comida decente.

Visitamos 805 restaurantes para almorzar con mi pareja y su familia. La comida era excelente, todo el personal era muy amable y educado, y el ambiente era muy relajante. Teníamos un niño pequeño en nuestro grupo y también fueron acomodados por muy bien. Sin duda recomendaría este restaurante a cualquiera.

Tan pronto como nos sentamos en nuestra mesa, pasaron unos 15 minutos antes de que alguien viniera a tomar nuestro pedido. Tuvimos que llamar a una señora para tomar nuestro pedido de comida. Esperamos durante una hora para que llegara nuestra comida y la gente venía detrás de nosotros y recibía su comida antes que nosotros (¡nuestra solicitud de comida no tardaría mucho en cocinar!) ¡Nuestros apetitos se habían ido debido a esperar tanto tiempo!

The service in this restaurant is very poor. Rang up to place a telephone order I was told to hold for 20 mins, then to realise the phone was cut off by the staff. Despite the erratic service, this restaurant delivers excellent food at reasonable prices. Far from being elegant, the tableware could do with improvement and the outside is not so welcoming. There is a slight look to the restaurant that feels like a pre-party area to dine before heading to a club.

We were a party of seven friends who had lost touch for many years. We assembled at 805 for what turned out to be a great evening. I ordered Eba with Okro soup. My friends also ordered Nigerian dishes. The fish was excellent. Nigerian beers were available. The atmosphere increasingly became more electric as the evening wore on and many more patrons came in. It was all like one massive party. Patronage was so high that guests spilled over to an extension two doors away. I was surprised, though, that the bar did not have Shiraz wine.

My partner and I went to 805 for our anniversary dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the new decor, it's updated and classier than it was on our previous visit some time ago. The service was great, they served us palm wine that was unsuitable and they happily replaced it with another drink and didn't charge us for it at all. We appreciated the apology :)

Deco is nothing to write about, customer service is hit and miss, outside doesn't catch the eye. Maybe a little to busy for a older crowd.

One of the best Nigerian restaurants in the UK.

We visited the 805 Restaurant, Old Kent Road on a Friday evening and it was fairly busy when we arrived but a table was quickly found and we were soon seated. The menu was varied and the service from the staff members was fine. The starter was Beef Suya with a main of egusi soup and pounded yam, both meals were well presented and delicious. First visit to this restaurant but hope to visit again soon.

El restaurante era bastante aceptable, al llegar nos dieron la mesa que quisimos. La camarera profesional y al servicio, desgraciadamente se equivocó o no se acordaba de lo que habíamos pedido y tras 30min de espera tuvo que volver a pedírnoslo. Pero bueno se disculpó y enseguida nos trajeron la comida. El arroz estaba bien hecho y el pescado llevaba una salsa roja bastante mala y picante.

I took my husband and 8 month old son out for father's day to this restaurant,ordered our main and drinks all at the same time,the drinks came at the same time but our food did not.i ordered pounded yam with stew chicken with okra on the side and received okra soup with chicken instead. I asked my husband to speak with management as this was not what I ordered,so the owner took the order back to rectify the problem..Ok,comes back with right order but the same pounded yam that was reheated in the microwave and felt a bit hard (NOTE: food that gets sent back is supposed to come back fresh) I did not say anything as I was so hungry and annoyed at the same time and did not want my husband in a bad mood as it is father's day. The stew was not hot and near enough to lukewarm so my husband asked the owner to heat it..to what I believed would come back hot,2nd time I've had to send food back,this time the stew had excessive oil in it and was once lukewarm AGAIN.to prove to my husband I was not the issue,I told him to dip his finger in my stew and he agreed it was not acceptable. As i did not want to seem a bother or trouble maker (as Nigerians judge you and deem you disrespectful if you dare challenge them) I ate the food (half of it) I told my husband i will not be paying for this meal so he will need to discuss with management my frustration. The owner did no take too kindly to us challenging the bill and was extremely unprofessional and rude.she lacks the ability to deal with customer needs and she is right and the customer is wrong (typical backwards thinking of some nigerians) to add insult to injury. A gentlemen dining with his wife and two children sent his food to get heated up as his food was cold and he seemed annoyed also. After debating about the bill for over 5 mins as she only took £5 off my bill,she finally agreed to scratch off my order and said "you ate For free" bare in mind I paid for my husband's meal and our drinks. Overpriced food and such small portions,food is never hot and a belligerent OWNER. please save your money and go to your local Nigerian cuisine or try ENISH restaurant. Food is better,bigger portions and price is more than fair

Visited on early Friday evening.The service was great - food arrived in great timing and everything was very nice and tasty. I had Egusi soup with garri and my friend had jellof rice with fried fish and plantain. We are coming back very soon!

Recomendó el camarero que probé el okra de marisco y me mostró la fotografía de su menú. La imagen muestra un montón de gambas, así que estaba algo decepcionados cuando vi que sólo había una de gambas en mi plato. Me sentí un poco engañados.

Had a wonderful dinner made of jollof rice served with fried plantain and beef. Cyprian, the waiter, was very smart, nice and efficient. I got my meal after 5 minutes. I promised: it was very very good.

Noticeable reduction in portion sizes ie Monika fish, snail and fish in Eddy K was small for prices charged.

We ordered croaker fish with fried plantain salad and jollof rice and Chapman drinks. The food is delicious off course very flavoured.

I had never heard of this restaurant before, I was taken here by a colleague as we both love fish and she said it was a great place for fish. The fish that came was about £17.50 each but it was quite large and flavourful. The only problem we had was that we had to wait about 30 mins if not more to be seated ordered as it was very busy.
